‘Bound not by blood but loyalty. We live, we ride, and we die by our own laws’
There was a time in my life when I had it all. The perfect wife, A successful business with my brother, And a place among my club brothers that felt like a home.
It took one moment for me to lose it all.
I don’t live anymore, I just exist. And that existence is for just one purpose. To find my brother and deliver him his justice.
Chop has been hiding in the shadows for far too long. And his determination to ruin my club will be his ruin.
Addison came to me when I was at my lowest, She gave me a reason to live that wasn’t motivated by vengeance. But I wasn’t prepared for the feelings that brought with it. My attempts to help her caused her a pain she didn’t deserve. And I abandoned her when she needed me the most.
Since then I’ve stayed away. I’ve tried to heal. But there's no cure for a Broken Soul

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Trope: heroine in peril, second chance Angst: 😱😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Fracking fantastic!! THIS is the book I've been waiting for since the first book in the series and Emma definitely didn't let me down! I'm not going to go in too much detail, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but this was a total edge-of-my-seat ride from beginning to end. I was alternating between the sweats, crying, and my heart being completely full, lol. The storyline is fantastic and gut wrenching and these characters will certainly tug on your heart strings. Tons of heart pounding action with twists and turns that will you gasping. If you are an MC fan and haven't started this series, you REALLY need to. Seriously, one of my favorite books of the year in one of my favorite MC series of all time!
Im not sure my heart will ever recover from the ride it just got. Broken soul was everything that I never knew I needed, weve all been waiting for skids story, its now time for him to get the happy ending he truly deserves, but as we've seen with all the dirty souls, it doesn't come easy. This story had me captivated, from cover to cover. I could not put it down. My emotions were on a knifes edge, heart in my mouth. I felt absolutely everything. It's a magnificent edition to a phenomenal series.
Skid's story is one we've all waited for. He's been hurting for so long, it's his time to have his heart put back together. His road to happiness isn't easy. There are a lot of demons that haunt him. A lot of worries and fears that prevent him from seeing what's right in front of him. But one moment changes it all. One moment gives him something he never thought he'd have again. While the relationship aspect is great, and they work through the obstacles life throws their way, Skid's journey to acceptance, and starting over is what steals the show. He was such a broken man and his path of healing is rough, but one he still makes. This story has so much packed into it. It's full of twists, turns, and so much drama. There is also a lot of pain and heartache, but just as much love and happiness. Moments that make you laugh out loud, and moments that make you want to cry. It's intense and keeps you captivated. And that ending? Emma continues on the path of writing amazing stories that suck you in, and keep you on your toes.
This will be a short but sweet review as the whole book is basically one big spoiler for multiple reasons, regarding both the characters and the plot. This was a no brainer add to my top reads list as this book was everything. And it had everything. That's really all I can say without ruining something. So much happens within the pages. I haven't been this wrung out by a book in a long and that's saying something with this author. Be prepared to broken into a million pieces and put back together with not very sticky masking tape. As usual the epilogue will have you wondering what on earth can happen next after everything that they went through in this book.
Been desperate to read Skids story for a long time , & it did not disappoint. It blew me away .
Skid has had his life destroyed. The worst kind of betrayal by the one person that should always have his back , that one person who should never have taken his heart & soul away from him . Skid is in a dark place for a long time .
Addison didn’t know any other life , but she knew she couldn’t live in the compound any more , especially now she had another life to protect .
Skid & Addisons story isn’t an easy going love story , heartbreak follows them both . When Addisons life is in danger it’s a wake up call for Skid .
It’s so good to have so many of the other Dirty Souls characters in this book too .
Broken Soul is an outstanding read , never wanted it to end
This read is definitely one not only freaking everything I’d hoped for but goes into so much more. Skids story has been one I’ve truly waited for and the wait was torcher but so worth it. And as per usual with this author she leaves you asking how much more can happen! Loved loved this story!!!
5* Skid was devastated after the murder of his wife Carly but finding out that his brother Chop was responsible was the ultimate betrayal. Addison is running scared fearing the elders will find her. When the two bump into each other he knows he needs to protect her. I've loved skids character from first starting the series and boy was it worth waiting for.
MMC/FMC- Skid and Addison POV- 1st person multiple Genre- MC Romance Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋. The restaurant scene- whoa! Series? Y. This book CANNOT be read as a standalone. Safety- nope. There’s no cheating, but there’s S. Violence, both remembered and current, some from the perpetrator’s POV. While a major plot line is resolved, more plot elements remain open. There is a HEA/HFN for the main couple. Triggers- this book has more triggers than an NRA convention. It’s pretty heavy stuff, so be warned. Triggers include extreme graphic violence and imagery, including torture and murder. Also s. violence including more than one S.A., Language, explicit erotic content, abduction of and threats to a child, multi-year captivity (with more torture, although only the aftermath is described), religious abuse/cult. More about this in the What I Thought section. Tropes- Second Chance, Single Mom, Adorable Moppet, Learning to Love Again, Surprise Pregnancy, It Ain’t a Manger, Vengeance is Nutra-Sweet, Anyone Can Die, Damsel in Distress, Ebil Ex, O Brother Where Art Thou? What I Thought- This book is a lot. I’ve been waiting a long time for Skid’s story, and I wasn’t disappointed. There are a lot of triggers and this story is very dark But the heavy stuff is not present for shock value or torture p rn; it’s an integral part of the story and has affected each of the characters’ development and decisions. The book is dark, but not a downer. Yes, there are moments of sorrow, fear, anger, and horror. There are also moments of joy, peace, love, and redemption. The characters live hard, grieve hard, and love hard. This is not a book which will allow you to feel nothing. A major, long-term plot line is wrapped up (and not before time) in a very violent yet strangely satisfying way. This has been building up since the first books, and there’s finally a great catharsis. This series is more realistic than many MC Romance books; Anyone Can Die, even POV characters, not just Red Shirts. (If you want to know more about those two tropes, check out the TV Tropes website. Just make sure that you have a few hours to chuck into the void because you will be sucked in and time will cease to exist). I have a book hangover now, because this book was so intense and mind blowing. And incredibly satisfying. This is not an easy read, but it is an excellent one.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really devoured this story. I have been waiting for Skid’s story since I started this series. He’s been a long time favorite character of mine. The way he lost Carly is/was disgustingly tragic and I’ve been anxious for him to have a HEA. Addison is a nice new character. She’s mostly a tough single mom, literally doing everything on her own. Addison has escaped from a cult and years prior, while she was pregnant with Charlie, she was helped greatly by Skidshilensnub and then he left abruptly breaking her heart. While I think you could read this as a standalone novel, it’s truly best enjoyed and understood as part of the entire series. This is a second chance situation with Addison needing Skid’s help (protection) years after he ditched her.
Skid is such a troubled, guilty, sad, hot man. We know how much he loved Carly and how he’s suffered. What’s truly interesting about this book is that we get a bunch of chapters from Chop’s POA. I have to think that these are actually the strongest part of the writing, because we know that Chop is a psychopathic graping serial killer. Yet, these chapters show more to him, and while he’s completely irredeemable, he is ultimately interesting and unexpected in many ways.
The love story between Skid and Addison is a little generic for me. It’s sweet and building upon their second chance. The kid is cute in this story too. Parts of this book made me cry and I’m reminded, right before Prez’s book (and the final in series), that the author has no problems killing off people! There’s more to this book than romance - action, angst, and political drama. I loved that we also got to see the happy characters having babies and other happy endings in this book; however, it also mainly set up the final book and expectations for a spin off (can’t wait!). I love the characters of Wrath and Raze. I have high hopes for them.
Broken Soul is the thirteenth book in the Dirty Souls MC series, and I honestly can’t believe how each book gets better and better. They are all fantastic, and after twelve books, you’d think there’d be some repetition, but no, each one is different yet carries certain issues through.
Skid has had it tough after losing his wife, Carly, five years ago, and then finding out who killed her dug the knife in his gut even deeper. He deserves to find some happiness, and he finally gets a chance with Addison and her son Charlie. Of course, things are not plain sailing, and Addison’s problem is huge, making it a nightmare for everyone involved. I really like Addison; she is a young woman who has had to grow up quick smart and find her way in life after a disastrous beginning. Her little boy, Charlie, is such a cutie, too.
I feel compelled to comment on Rogue; in this story, we see her as she typically is, but we also see how far she’s grown, too. There’s also a little nugget in the story that lingers in your mind—a clever ploy by the author.
Emotions! Ah, there are heaps of deeply felt emotions throughout the book, and when I say deeply, I mean it. You feel complete and utter joy when the characters experience something fantastic in their life. You feel despondent when characters have dreadful experiences and extremely fearful when they are in danger. And these are only a few of the plethora of emotions within the pages of this fabulous book. But I will warn you—you might need tissues like I did. To me, all signs of a well-written book when readers become that invested in the story.
So much happens in this story that there is literally never a dull moment. Another brilliant book by this very talented author.
We can’t let our pasts ruin what we could have, I won’t let it.
All the pain. All the heartbreak. All the anger.
The story that was hidden.
Everything comes down to this…
“I don’t want to be scared anymore.”
After all this time and through all the emotion we finally have Skid’s story! Skid’s story has been a long time coming but it's certainly been worth the wait and to see him unlock his heart again.
In the previous story we had a sneak peek of who lady could be and with a mystery past with Skid already you really are flipping through those chapters to find out what happened! You also have another backstory happening…
Chop…dum dum dummmm. Yes the very villain of the whole series is having his story told and will it be his final story of wicked deeds meeting their end? This was very interesting to see the twist of events that actually happened and being in the mind of Chop…
Addison was someone I didn’t see coming and wow her story was very different to our other females. I really liked her character, how she adapted to the club and brought light back into Skid’s world.
I love the emotions that are wrapped within this story, there is a lot going on and to follow with the characters, the past stories entwined all together. Then of course having the OG characters brings the whole series together. The wholesome love, comedy that breaks-up the drama and the dark gritty scenes.
There is only one more member left…and he’s been riding along this very long journey…will he ever reach the end of the road of his destination?
Only one of us can be the winner, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out which one of us that will be.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
Wow this book has been a long awaited story. Skid has been the character full of sorrow, rage and need for vengeance. His wife, Carly and his unborn son were killed by his brother Chop. Addison, who he met and helped not long after Carly was killed, is back in his life along with her son Charlie. They need his protection. The psycho brother Chop is also back to ruin his brother's second chance at happiness.
This is one emotional story. Having read all of the Dirty Soul books, I feel invested in these characters. Chop has caused pain for every brother in some way. We finally get to learn about how Chop and Skid came to be with the Dirty Souls. We also get insight into Chop's reasoning, as crazy as it is.
As a reader, I was so happy that Skid is finally opening up his heart. He has been through so much and deserves this. Addison also has a bad past. She was raised in a cult and was married off as the "chosen one." Her life has been very difficult. You can imagine there are several trigger warnings. This book isn't an easy read. It is very emotional, both up and down, tears and laughs. Broken Soul is worth the read. Everything is revealed slowly. It does lead to happiness for Skid and Addison but there are points where you are wondering just how things will work out. I love this series and Broken Soul is another fantastic, must read addition to the Dirty Souls.
🚨🚨🚨🚨Spoiler Alert 🚨🚨🚨🚨 I feel like I’m an honorary member of the Dirty Souls. We Souls have waited a long time for Skid to get his retribution for what Chop did to Carly. Every Soul member has been waiting to get their hands on Chop for what he has done to this club. Hell even I wanted to jumped in and get a few kicks in. I have been traumatized by this series since reading, Lost Soul book one of the Dirty Soul Series. How could a brother be so evil? Carly’s death rocked the club, the nature of her murder tore Skid apart. Emma Creed has done an incredible job telling the story of each member while giving us a glimpse of how Skid has been coping since losing Carly. Broken Soul picks up with Addison arriving at the club in desperate need of help Even though Skid is struggling with healing from losing his wife. He owes It to Addison to help her after walking away from her five years ago. Broken Soul kept me in the edge of my seat. We discover that Addison was in a cult, she was the third wife to the head Elder and she escape one night after her best friend was unalived in front of the entire village. Lo and behold the resident evil spawn Chop was rescued by his son Tommy. Thinking he’s doing this to protect Skid, Tommy drives Chop a few hours away from Manitou Springs and dumps he off at the hospital. Eventually Chop makes his way back to Manitou Springs seeking revenge against the club. Kidnapping Addison and her son and taunting Skid with having to make a choice of who to save. Unfortunately for Chop, he wasn’t expecting his son Tommy to rescue Addison. Finally Skid comes face to face with his brother and he the Soul can give Chop the overdue and well deserved trip the clubs basement.

This is the first book in the series that I've read. I do recommend you read the others before this. If your a fan of the Hades Hangman series I recommend this book. Though you can read without you just don't know the other characters very well. This book was absolutely wild. The plot had so much going on in a good way. It had so many twist my neck hurt. It really had my guessing who I should trust in this book. I'm warning you don't get attached to the characters. Skid had my whole heart this poor man went through so much and didn't deserve any of it but he grew so much. Addison was a great ass she was strong and never gave up. The back and forth between her and Skid kind of was a little annoying but I know why she did it. The spice level was around 2/5. I enjoyed this book and I want to go back and pick up others from the series.

With each and every story within the Dirty Souls MC universe, Emma Creed shows us just what an incredible storyteller she is. Skid’s story is, in my opinion, her best yet. Full of heartache, resilience, love, and letting go, Emma continues to weave this amazing world together, breaking and mending our hearts along the way.
Skid has been in shambles since Carly. No love to give, no direction, no joy, and feeling no purpose. But what happens when a companion from his past comes back, begging for his help? Though he had feelings for her in the past, his emotions regarding Carly forbade him from seeking his own happiness again. But now, this could be life or death.
Addison and her child are fleeing, and she has nowhere to go. Though her mind fights her on it, her heart leads her back to Skid- the only one that has been there for her. But will he ever be able to reciprocate those feelings? Or will the shadow following her find her and her child, and end it all?
With so many twists and turns, surprises, tears, and even redemption, this story is still holding onto my heart, and I’m not entirely sure I’ll ever be able to get Skid out of my mind and my heart. Ten out of five stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
☄️☄️ONE EXCITING ADVENTURE ☄️☄️ Grabbing griddles Greg! Emma offers up her keen wit, impressive style and creative insights with this mind-bending tilt-our-world landslide. Presenting one heart-pounding, pulse-racing, adrenaline-pumping, block-busting, jaw-dropping, wicked rollercoaster. Hurled head-first into one action-packed thrill ride chocked-full of arresting drama, spine-tingling intrigue, nerve-wracking danger and hair-raising suspense mount as perilous trials and gripping triumphs spiral. Gut-wretching betrayal and astonishing tactics unwind as the cruel twists and cunning turns loom. The characters dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so lavish and alluring it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Fabulous job Emma, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
This would have to be the most anticipated book in this series and what an amazing book it was. It surpassed my expectations and only solidified what an amazing author Emma Creed is. The quality did not waiver at all throughout these books. This book broke my heart for Skid, who has had a rough ride through this series and who is a very broken man due to his past, but we also a man who has a huge heart and is willing to help Addison and her son escape their traumatic past. Lots of emotional moments that had me in tears but the story had me on the edge of my seat. Drama, intrigue and passion are only some of the elements that will capture your heart and leave it beating furiously. Congratulations to Emma Creed on another amazing book. If you are looking for a series with intensity and lots of drama and wonderful characters you need to do yourself a favour and get started on the Dirty Souls MC. Five big stars!!!!
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Skid lost the most important person in his life his wife, Carly, at the hands of his brother. The house he bought for his wife was never going to be lived in until he comes across a young pregnant woman, Addion. She has no money; he knows nothing about her but the need to help her. Helping her, prevented him from taking his own life, she made him keep living. Just when she is about to have the baby, he walks away from her.
Now years later, she and her little boy Charlie, have shown up at the clubhouse for help, her child’s father is after her. There is no way he can turn her away; he will help her in any way he can. Both of these characters are broken by past events in their lives. These two are perfect for each other and help the other get out from the pain of the past.
It is my recommendation that the series is read in order due to the overarching story, including why they whole club wants Skid’s brother Chop dead.
All the stars! I have been waiting for Skid’s book for a while and it does not disappoint.
Throughout this series we have seen Skid mourn and it looked like he would never be happy. His anger for what had happened keeping him going. Enter Addison and he feels something which he hasn’t done in a long time. She has not had it easy either.
This book has its twists and turns, we get to see the rest of the club which is always a joy. We also get an ending to something that has been ongoing throughout this series and my was it satisfying.
As usual the author has given us an epilogue which wants us needing more! I love this series and can’t wait for the next one, though it looks like the Corrupt Cowboys are up next which is another great series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Emma Creed finally gives us Skid's story and it was so worth the wait!! Devastated after the murder of his wife Carly, Skid was struggling. But finding out his brother Chop was responsible was the worst kind of betrayal. Allison and her son are running from a cult that treats women like possessions that are good for making babies and not much else. After seeing her best friend killed in front of the entire cult, Allison runs and ends up with Skid and the Dirty Souls. With everything that Allison has gone through, she is still determined to create a great life with her son which is an eye-opener to Skid. There is so much more to this read, sizzle, steam, betrayal, drama, action, twists, turns, and more. Awesome read.

I stopped by to visit my Dirty Souls family I haven't seen in a while. I've been worried about Skid and Tommy. Skid's mixed up with Addison again. Her past has come back to haunt her and her adorable son Charlie putting them in danger. If it isn't one psycho it's another. I hope they make it this time around. I know his heart always belonged to Carly but as big as his heart is there is room in there for Addison and Charlie. Time to move on brother. And wouldn't you know it. When everything seems to be going good guess who has to pop in to get a little attention. Yep you guessed it. Chop. Boy I would love to get my hands on him. He doesn't realize his days are numbered. I had to pick my jaw off the floor when I spotted Rogue in a hot pink bikini with a hat. That girl never does anything girly. Hmm. She's up to something. Wait! Is that prez I see sneaking around with a fed?
Skid lost his wife 5 years ago and was devasted when he discovered who and has been wanting revenge ever since.
Addison and Skid met 5 years ago, she was on the run from a traumatic life which she managed to escape and Skid helped her out. What happened 5 years ago and why has she suddenly turned up at the Dirty Souls compound?
There is so much going on in this story, old enemies and new. It’s fast paced, full of angst, drama, trauma, danger, twist and turns. I couldn’t put it down and devoured it in one sitting. It’s book 13 so it really is recommended to read the others first as there ongoing storylines throughout.
Emma’s writing is fantastic and she always leaves stands that will be woven into future books or crossover books. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
So, I always wait with baited breath for the release of the next book in this fabulous series and I must say, this book does not disappoint! Skid’s story is the one I’ve been waiting for but no spoilers! This book grips you from the first few pages and holds you hostage! I love how we have chapters catching up with other MC members, Brax’s chapter was excellent and Squealer really had me belly laughing, as usual!
An excellent 5 star series that I cannot rave about any harder!! This is by far the best MC series I have ever read. Can’t wait to dive in to the next book to see where the story leads us next.
I received an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow Emma, Skid's book was nothing short of amazing. I think this is the one book all of us have been waiting for. Skid has always been around the club house and supporting his club brothers but he has been in a very dark place with the death of his wife and the betrayal of his brother.
We got a glimpse of Addison in previous stories and when she finds herself in a spot of trouble Skid is the person she turns to. Together they overcome pain, heart break and realise this is their time to be together.
I did shed a few years whilst reading this, because Skid's story deserves to be told and he finally realizes he deserves a second chance at love again.
Holy f*'king shit!!! I'm once again speechless. I read the book in one sitting and just finished it. And the awesome thing is i want to read it again.
I'm so happy that Skid finally found his love and happiness again. The horrors that he had to suffer. Not only Skid but the whole club has found redemption. Then we have the strong Addison with the lovely Charlie! Loved them from the beginning and the trauma they survived. They really had a super hero and a angel as guardian angels!
And the ending has me again sitting here with a big WTF look on my face.
Emma you did once again and awesome job writing Skid's story. Now we wait for the last one.
The entire Dirty Souls MC series have been five star reads for me and I’ve been waiting for Skid’s story and to say I wasn’t let down is an understatement. Skid was such a broken man and was in need of revenge. His story broke my heart to pieces and is one of those stories that will stick with me. Addison just might be what Skid needs now.
The intensity of this book was a nonstop page turning read that pulled out all the stops emotion wise. The action was a rollercoaster ride that had me losing my head at times but it was all so worth it. I cannot recommend this book, as well as this series, highly enough.
Boom she does it again! Ive been highly invested in this series since i first found Emma Creed and her books and i just knew Skids book would hit me in all the feels and boy it packed a punch. Skid is broken and struggling to move on since losing his true love Carly but the world starts to shine a little brighter when Addison ends up in his path. Addison has her own demons and is hiding from her past but when she needs help she knows just who to turn to! So many twist/turns involved in this book but i really dont want to give away any spoilers but i can say.. dont think about it just get reading! Love every word.
