It wasn’t exactly love at first sight when Helen met Daniel, she felt uncomfortable and out of place. But he was kind-hearted and they soon became friends. Then more than friends, until he disappeared without a word.
When they meet again and again, it’s obvious that fate wants them to be together even if life doesn’t.
But how many chances does destiny need? That’s the question, or is it? Are they just fleeting moments caught between friends and lovers?
Will Daniel plus Helen equal LOVE?
Can they find the answers together, or apart?
A witty friends-to-lovers, second-chance romance perfect for fans of Portia MacIntosh, Sophie Kinsella or Sophie Ranald.
CJ Morrow writes the kind of fiction she likes to read and since her taste is varied so are her books. She loves a romcom with a guaranteed happy ending, equally she loves a psychological thriller especially where the ending is a plausible shocker.
When she doesn't like what's going on in the world, she writes another one.
Word weaver, lover of things curious, unseen and unexplainable, general wordy person. Always watching and laughing, mostly at herself.
I really enjoyed this second chance romance! I love the way CJ Morrow's characters are so relatable and she adds domestic details in just the right amount to make the story feel like everyday life. At times I wanted to give Helen a good shaking but her reasoning made sense, though she did suffer for it yikes. If you like books such as One Day by David Nicholls or Ten Years by Pernille Hughes then you'll enjoy getting stuck into this one.
When I started reading this book, I thought it would be going in a completely different direction plot wise. I am pleasantly surprised!
I was hoping the characters relationship with each other would have progressed a tiny bit faster, but after reading the whole thing I realised how realistic it is. The number of times my heart hurt while reading this was way more than I want to admit.
This second chance romance does read a little slow, but I loved seeing the girl with all the questions and the boy with all the answers find their way to each other.
Oh my what a gorgeous lovely book! The Love Equation tells the story of Helen and Daniel and their bad timing over the course of 25 years or so. She's the girl with all the questions and he's the boy with all the answers, or is he?
This book is a second chance romance peppered with strange synchronicities pointing to fated soul mates but the universe tears them apart and teases them for what feels like an eternity and you'll be frantically turning the pages to see what happens next.
A beautifully written story of hope, laughter, tears and fate. Do you believe in fate? I think I do after reading this book.
I loved this book, it has a great story and kept me turning the pages well into the night. It's a love story that starts when Daniel - the boy with all the answers and Helen -the girl with all the questions - meet at school and become friends. Fate tears them apart but will it unite them in the end? No spoilers here, just read it for yourself and find out! As usual with CJ Morrow, the characters are perfectly drawn and totally believable. Romantic and funny, this is the perfect read for a cold winter's evening. Thoroughly recommended.
