DOUBLE CROSS - Akira & Deane Series Book 3

Zoltan Ferec is being held in a secret MI6 detention centre after being captured for his failed assassination attempt in the Olympic Park. MI6 interrogator Patrick Walker must break Ferec to gain access to his knowledge, but he has only days to do it. Will Ferec crack under the pressure or can he stay strong in the hope he will be rescued? Akira learns of Ferec’s capture and looks to intervene but what are his intentions?

For former agent Sam Olsen, he struggles to start a life away from MI6. A complicated home life with his wife Rachel makes him long for what he had. If he pursues his dream will his marriage survive?

MI6 Chief Kevin Ramsey, dealing with the political fallout of the failed attack on London, is growing increasingly concerned about the fate of Thomas Deane and his partner William Hawk, who were sent to Russia to prevent political uprising but have not reported in. When word comes through, he has to act quickly to save the life of his most valuable assets, but political games block his way. Akira, lurking in the shadows, seizes an opportunity to attack and remove Deane permanently. With his faithful puppet Mikhail Salenko by his side, he continues Russia’s resurgence…

Feedback for the Akira and Deane series
"I'm a spy fiction fan, so this was always going to be one for me. If you like Bond or Bourne, you'll enjoy this - though it most reminded me of one of my favourite books series, Barry Eisler's "Rain Fall" books. Recommended if you like any of the above."- ★★★★★ Review by S.K on Amazon.co.uk
"Really enjoyed this book. There was a lot going on to keep me interested and the Olsen and Deane relationship is great to read together with Akira lurking in the background to keep things interested. I'd recommend it!"- ★★★★★ Review by Richard on Amazon.co.uk

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I’ve been writing thriller related short stories for a few years now but I finally decided to bite the bullet and write a novel. It was always a dream to see my novel online and when my wife recorded a TV programme in the summer of 2014 about Amazon I found out it was possible. By chance I happened to see it and discovered KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) where I could publish my book on Amazon. I had no idea that had come about! It’s been fantastic to see it on Amazon and to receive feedback from readers of my book, it really is invaluable and plays a big part in shaping my writing. My name is Tim Jopling and I love any spy and espionage books, TV, or films! People always say you write about what you know and although I've never had any personal experience (I've worked in the IT sector for 16 years!) I've read a lot of novels (you can't really beat the original Ian Fleming novels in my opinion) and watched as many TV shows and films as I possibly can. I'm a big James Bond fan (not the spoofy ones, my favourites are the grittier ones with Daniel Craig and Timothy Dalton is my favourite Bond - nothing to do with the name mind you!) and loved all the seasons of 24.

There were a number of things that made me want to try writing. I remember several years ago when I watched one of the Mission Impossible films and a James Bond film, both of which were so poor I was convinced I could write something better! Around the same time I remember a scene in 24 with a minor character (Paulson - anyone remember him?) that really hit a note with me and got the creative juices flowing! Whether I've written anything better remains to be seen but I have so much fun writing stories with the Olsen and Deane characters (and the supporting characters too). I'm now working on the next novel in the series (Double Cross) which will be released early 2016 and the fourth title (Judgement Calls) later on that year.

Thanks to everyone that has reviewed my writing, its been great to see my work on Amazon and receive feedback. It really is invaluable and plays a big part in shaping my writing. Thanks for reading!
