About the author

Dee Williams grew up in Rotherhithe, East London, and left school at fourteen. After living abroad, she settled in Hampshire with her husband, where she remains active as a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness while staying close to her family.

I am pretty sure that I have read this before. But I completely enjoyed rereading it. So it definitely gets a solid rating. I like the older sagas. They can have more grit and realism. I highly recommend this novel and the author.

This book is again along the Catherine Cookson lines. Quite easy, fast reads. Set in the early 1900's. Quite enjoyable.
