A singular, once in a lifetime, visit from Incubus freed Daiya from a life of misery. Never having the ability to thank her rescuer, or even being aware of what or whom it was that did the saving, she lives with that part of her past being a total mystery. Seeing bits and pieces in her dreams of a creature touching her and making her feel things she had never felt before, Daiya often felt as though she was insane, despite the fact that she was now finally living out her dream of being a mother. However, things take a turn when Daiya unexpectedly comes face to face with the one enigma in her life. Only this time, the visit is for Incubus to address a life or death situation with the child he impregnated her with.
I enjoyed the next installment in Daiya's story it's a quick steamy monster romance. The author has created a beautiful captivating story. I ended up reading in just as quickly as the first.
Incubus and The Return of Incubus are such captivating short reads. The chef's kiss of erotic reads, as I like to call them. These books absolutely have to be read together. Marilynn Harper did a great job conveying all the emotions, and scenes in the stories. You get a great sense of the characters and their daily battles. You don't feel like anything is missing at all.
If you're looking for a short read with spice and backstory, these two are it. I can't wait to read more books by her!!
The return of Incubus, the spicy 🌶️ horned demon who Daiya didn’t remember from the first time. He saves the baby and fuckkkks his woman, leaving more babies 😍❤️
Hopefully, there’s a part 3 because I am HOOOOKED.

This story definitely packs a good amount of heat in a short amount of time. Great for a quick palate cleanser or something to read on your lunch break (or maybe not 😉).
I usually like to have a lot more character development, but for a short story, I was more into it than I expected. The grammar could have used some work. I noticed several errors, which distracted me because I had to go back and make sense of what I was reading. I also want to say there was an age discrepancy with the child, but I haven't gone back to double-check that.
I haven't read a lot of stories involving Incubus', but the description in the very beginning of how the child was going to lose its life and the way in which he had to evacuate hell to try and prevent a catastrophic incident blew my mind; the imagination of some authors is fascinating to experience.
As for the rest of the story....it didn't disappoint. Spicy as all get out. Now I'm left wondering if the created another life. If you love spicy stories and don't mind them short and fiery then you absolutely want to read this.
This is the next chapter in Incubus and Daiya’s journey. It’s a short erotic novel that does not disappoint.
In this story, Incubus is once again drawn to Daiya through her tears. Her daughter is sick and in pain. Incubus leaves his realm early to save the child. My only complaint is that I want more Incubus.
If you want a short erotic read, grab this is novella.
If you are looking for a quick read that has a basic storyline for the characters within, but is actually just a snippet of one day in their lives this is for you. Incubus chose to return before his time in order to save the baby he created on his last visit. For what it is intended to be, I gave this story my baseline ranking of 3 stars.
I wish there was more to these! Short stories can feel rushed because - as the name suggests - they're short. I would have loved longer explanations on how he gets from hell to Daiya, or how he makes his tail vibrate (hehehe). The spicy scenes were great though. I'd love a third so we can see what happens next.
This book was a super quick read, especially since it's Book 2 of The Incubus series, but I still enjoyed it, mainly because of the steamy scenes. They were described in such a tantalizing way that I couldn’t help but love them. The cover initially caught my eye, and I’m glad I picked it up—it turned out to be a fun, engaging read!
We pick up where we left off with even more spice in this book towards the end that leaves you with a cliff hanger. I’m left wanting to know what will happen next again and again. If you love books that are extra extra spicy and contain a demon, you’ll love this.
This short story is not as good as the previous Incubus short. It’s has potential but due to its short size, there is a lack of plot and character development. I would continue to follow the story if there is more.
Return of our favorite Incubus but this time he has more then his needs on his mind. This is hot with a touch of drama! Keeps you intrigued til the last sentence & all you want it mooooooore.
Dirty but with a little bit more dialogue that still answers no questions but produces more. Either way, great read! Here for the spice and it delivered.. but I still want more lol! Happy reading!
I never knew I needed to start reading demon smut 😈 The author didn't waste any time with the good parts. If monster p*rn is your thing, then this book is for you.
I love these short stories and I’m glad they I got to understand the first book better by reading this book! I will say I love Marilynn’s books. They twist your brain and the spice to them is off the charts! 5⭐️ &🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Can't say enough about how wonderful disturbing and depraved this is! I cannot get over how amazing of a writer Marilynn is! Come on, girl, stop doing us wrong.. make this & Incubus into full length books!!
Between the two book it was about a 30 minute read. It kinda looses me with the 3rd person and the words used for anatomy; they just seemed lack luster. It probably has more potential, if it was longer tho.
This story has a storyline and spice that kept me hooked! The storyline is captivating, and the spice was great, an awesome read from beginning to end.
An easy quick read for sure. I read the first incubus and knew I needed to read this one. It is exactly what you would think it is. Straight to the point and nothing more but also nothing less. For a short erotic story, this is surprisingly good.
The rekindling of these characters was amazing and added so much to their story. We got to see amazing scenes in the first book and this lived up to the hype in his return
