I had it all. A great life, my childhood best friend and a fiancé on track to becoming a detective. My life couldn’t have been more perfect - or so I thought. The day I walked in on my best friend and fiancé f*cking on our bed, I immediately fled the state. Fast forward a few years and I now live in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. Little did I know when I settled down that my new community is being terrorized by a mysterious serial killer with a fixation on blood. If that wasn’t bad enough, I seem to have caught the attention of a gorgeous but dangerous man of his own rite. But really, what could go wrong?
Mick
The citizens of Santa Fe live in fear of an elusive murderer. The Blood Shadow. Funny thing is, they should be. I don’t just murder because of a personal vendetta or any arbitrary connection. No, the only thing you need to attract the attention of the Blood Shadow is blood. My one obsession, my only need. That is, until I stumble on a beautiful raven-haired goddess. I now have two hungers I need filled - one for blood and one for her. She’ll soon find out that there’s nowhere she can hide from me. The hunt is on and she will be mine.

It’s been a long time since I felt completely consumed by a book but this one sucked me in from the start and I couldn’t put it down!! Plus it was sooo spicy!!! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Mick is a whole vibe! He is the obsessive, possessive, stalker, serial unaliver that will burn down the world for Paige and I just loved him so much! The character development between the 2 of them was so satisfying to read through! Mick softened and Page hardened. They both met in the middle and are the perfect compliments to one another!
Highly recommend this one if you love stalker books!
IM FREEEEEE!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY FUCKING LIFE
the FMC in this was just so fucking dumb it’s almost laughable. The entire book is just her getting kidnapped over and over again either by the MMC or others and has to wait to get saved by MMC. throw in a little bit of murder, and loads of (mostly) repetitive smut and i saved you from reading the book, you’re welcome.
The MMC is supposed to be some crazy psychopath and while he was crazy and psychotic, he severely lacked charm or personality besides gooning over the FMC and murdering people.
The dialogue?? there is none. how am i supposed to believe they have a connection if they barely have conversations that don’t immediately move towards having sex?
man i just don’t get the hype at all. a waste of time.
As always each time I read BFM I love it more and more every time. The connection between Mick and Paige is electric but perfectly imperfect, and Mick is unhinged in the best ways, so check your TW/CW. The pacing in this book is great and leaves you wanting more for sure. The spice is spicing and the connection is palpable, so don't miss out!
*Will further review on my blog and again here when I have the spoons but this is a FAV*
psychotic, I don’t care how it played out he is literally psychotic.
Okay, so I am just going to leave that top bit because I think it's funny but anyway on to the review. So this book was not for me. They were not kidding when they said morally black because excuse my French but what the fuck. You cannot tell me this author was not making her have Stockholm Syndrom because basically he just kidnaps her sexually assaults her in many different ways and then all of a sudden she's just like, "Oh my gosh I'm just so incredibly infatuated with him" Then shes murdering people to like huhhh. That just felt so quickly implemented into the book like all of a sudden she's starting to ramble on about how she's always had a pull towards the darkness that she kept hidden. Like honey, we are already more than halfway into the book and now you are initiating this when this is one of the first things you should have started with. Don't even get me started on the part where she kills the first guy and what they are thinking in their chapters he is just a full-blown psychopath and she has Stockholm Syndrome, period, end of the story, nondebatable.

First timer of Kitty Rose’s writing & plan to come back for more!
Did I come in here for the MMC? The stalking, captivity, and all the 🚩🚩🚩? Absofreakinglutely!
Much to my surprise, seeing his mind working, and concocting, it was swoon time for me.
Listen here, if you’re in any way easily triggered, maybe check the authors page for the Tw/Cw - because it does hit heavy traffic. 😈 Or, if you’re like me? And find those to be a check list of sorts? Welcome, I hope you enjoy your stay.
Paige - had me chuckle, roll my eyes, and be like YOU go girl! It was her character that pulled me further in, giving me a fresher outlook. Mick - he is unhinged and unapologetic; which is what I came for! 🥵
It was ok. It should have been better but it just did t go there for me. He was too soft at times. And they both made dumb mistakes for not getting caught. It was just a hard sell. But it was a ok read. Wouldn’t re-read.
I enjoyed the start of this book. I was excited about reading a different type of relationship between the two main characters than most dark romance books but then it turned very repetitive. With Mick being a serial killer I expected more kinkiness during the sex scenes😂 bit disappointed. I didn’t like how Paige got over her abuse from him so quickly and how she suddenly became a killer and had a blood lust the same blood lust. Didn’t make sense

I absorbed this book. It’s absolutely filthy. But I loved it. Been a while since I had a 5 🌶️ read, but this deserved it. It doesn’t get the full 5 ⭐️ though because there were a few plot holes that weren’t filled in. What happened to Brie? What about her relationship with her mom? What was Seth’s plan?
no. how could she be okay with everything he did to her? didn't let her pee and kept her chained? and suddenly she realized she is a killer too and wants to kill people? tf?
I was liking the mmc obsession with her but when he chained her up and went worst the second time, I couldn't proceed literally.

I thoroughly enjoyed Kitty Roses’s debut novel. **Please check CW/TW before reading Mick and Paige’s story.** I love love love dark romances, especially stä***r/kîdnàpp€r tropes. We have Mick as our MMC, and he is obsessed with our FMC, Paige. Mick is a famous unhinged serial unaliver, who quickly becomes obsessed with Paige after a chance encounter. He does some very questionable things to have/keep Paige. (But who doesn’t love an unhinged serial unaliver who only has eyes for our FMC? Red flags 🚩, where? 😉) I liked Paige’s character, she isn’t a weak/helpless FMC. She pushes back against Mick, and fights for herself to the best of her ability. The only minor issue I had with the story was that I personally didn’t feel like there was a gradual acceptance of Paige’s new reality/relationship with Mick. To me, it felt like she fought hard against Mick, stuff happened (she’s still fighting back at this point), and then she just accepted her new reality. Now, don’t get me wrong, I hate when the FMC fights against the relationship for majority of the novel, repeating the same argument over and over. However, I do wish there was a little more time to dive a little deeper into her thoughts/opinions as they change to accept her new reality. This is just a personal preference of mine, I still devoured the book in a day, and absolutely loved it. (I also may be a little greedy for more because I didn’t want their story to end 😅)
I am looking forward to reading more of Kitty Rose’s future novels! 😍

Review:
Okay, this one had me right from the start and I mean literally right from the start- the dedication page- had me giddy and excited because I just knew this was going to be a good one. I was correct, this was good, it was a dark, dark romance with an unexpected ending. Will I read it again? Absolutely. Will I be encouraging others to read this? Yes, absolutely, with the side not to check the trigger warnings on the author’s page. Will I be reading more by Kitty Rose? ABSOLUTELY!
Bleed for Me , had twists and turns, and just when you think you got past all the twists and turns…BAM…more twists and turns. I had to restrain myself from reading this in one sitting… I knew I would be sad when it was over, so I paced myself.
The ending is of course a HEA, but not in the usual way, but honestly, I feel like it works perfectly for Mick and Paige. Truly could not have had a better ending.
Spicy, spicy, spicy, spicy. This was SPICY, and I loved it.
Also, its the Little Bird that really tied it all together for me 🤩
*I received a free copy and I am leaving an honest and voluntary review*
I must mention the importance of checking the trigger warnings before you begin. There are several parts of this story that may be questionable for some. However, if you love DARK romance with an unapologetic MMC who will do what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants, then this book is for you.
Bleed for Me is Dual PV with a fantastic plot. Paige is our FMC and I found her to be a bit naive in the beginning, but I didn't think it was a bad quality the more we get into her history. I can assure you now that she does a complete 180 and ends up being fabulously unmerciful. The switch isn't instant, there is a lot of character building thanks to some not so subtle involvement by Mick, our MMC. Mick, though delicious and fine with a dirty mouth, is a bad man. Simple as that. He gets up to seri@l activities and becomes obsessed with Paige. There are twists and turns in this book that had me furiously flipping the pages. What I loved most besides Paige's evolvement, was that though Paige had "bad" lurking in her past waiting for its chance to hurt her, Mick was the bigger "bad" so to speak. He sees something in Paige that definitely resonated with the dark in himself. He was not going to let anyone or anything keep him from having her.
*cough *cough, now to the moment I know you have been waiting for...the spice in this book was off the charts. I know that if Mick was real then I would be lucky to not be chained up in his st@bby room, let alone getting up to anything pleasurable. This book was smut city, in my opinion. What's smut city? Constant and detailed spicy fun times full of questionable and unhinged acts. It's hot, veeerrrryyyy hot.
There is what I would consider a nontraditional HEA. Paige and Mick are end game I promise, but this book didn't have a standard ending which I liked.
It’s the reason why it took 3 months to finish as this was veryyy close to being my first ever DNF
The reason being is the first 60% of this book was her being kidnapped and her repeatedly saying no to anything sexual and him doing it anyway
If felt just to non-con for me which is my opinion alone
I mean even when she escaped she escaped she didn’t want to see him again and for me it was just too rapey…. But that’s just me!
However….. The last part of this book…. After they FINALLY bond and fall in love
Yes Just yes So so good
They had amazing chemistry and the little kills together and murder sprees 🥹 oh I loved it
And the end final kill - and fucking in front of the victim mercilessly I love it
I love it I love it 😍
Mick is a creepy little serial killer with an obsession
Paige is just someone trying to live her life
Mick then takes his little bird and locks her up and then escapes and lot of punishment - that I didn’t actually like And some that I did
But for me just a little too creepy
Towards the end they do have a nice relationship and she does strongly care for him and he does love her
It takes a while but I wasn’t that impressed and the 3 months it took is a word to that as I have bunged books in 2 days when they grip me
TW - stalking, murder, torture, knife play, breath play, little bdsm, very strong dub-con (she says no but thinks yes but still says and begs no and he does it anyway)
So overall Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/ 5 Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Love ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Characters ⭐️⭐️/5
Check your TWs before you begin because this beauty has a little grocery list of them ready for you! ***Some spoilers below***
I love a good book with a morally grey MMC, but Mick goes a little into the darker grey spectrum and I am here for it! This book is fast paced, but keeps you pulled in throughout all of it.
Paige is our MFC who is a little naive in the beginning, but grows tremendously throughout the story. Mick, the MMC, is a Serial K!ller that happens to frequent the coffee shop that Paige works at. Love at first sight wouldn't be strong enough to describe how Mick falls for Paige, cue the instant st@lker! There may be some kidnapping involved...ok let's say there is definitely some involved, but you know how obsessive a MMC can be for his woman! The book gets fast paced pretty quickly and Paige falls fast as the story progresses. The twists and turns keep you sucked in and I always love when a MFC turns into a b@da$$ by the end as she discovers herself and has a strong MMC to tell her how tough and beautiful she really is.
This is my first ARC read and I've loved every bit of it! I would highly recommend Bleed For Me! I look forward to more books from Kitty Rose in the future and can't wait to see how she grows as an author!

Mick is a very sexy, very successful business owner who happens to be a serial killer. The name of his construction company is get this....mickstruction. *GAG*
Mick meets Paige @ a coffee shop where she works as a barista. For no apparent reason, he becomes obsessed with her.
Paige is a dumb alcoholic who deserves to be kidnapped, repeatedly. She escapes the first time, but we never find out how only to not call the police. She instead gets drunk repeatedly with her dumb alcoholic friend, Taylor, or "tay-tay." *GAG* Only to be "kidnapped" again when Mick shows up during the day in Paige's coffee shop. Paige informs her manager she just has to leave for no good reason. She then leaves with Mick without alarming anyone because she's afraid he'll just murder everyone in the coffee shop if she says anything. WHAT ?????
Everyone in this book talks & acts like a 12-year-old with an alcohol problem.
The violence was gratuitous. My only trigger is animal violence/abuse. None of that, but the violence was a lot.
With the dark, deranged, and deprived characters in this book you’ll definitely need to mind your own triggers. Paige and Mick have a very rough start to their relationship. Mick is a s3ri@l k!ll3r who only cares that his victims bleed. Paige has the unfortunate pleasure of being the only one who catches his eye for more. Mick however doesn’t know a lick of how to go about a relationship so he goes with what he knows k!dn@pp!ng. When Paige herself finds that she’s gotten on a bit of the wrong side of Mick and suffers his punishments. When she finally starts to give in to her own demons Mick is right there forcing her to face them and let hers join his. These two have a difficult road to reach their HEA. Definitely worth the read!
Please again mind your triggers! Remember it’s not the author that’s to tailor their works to your triggers but for you to check the works before you read them. :)
I had the privilege to receive an early beta copy of this from the author. All reviews and rating will be honest and my own.
✨ARC Review✨ Fabulous debut for author Kitty Rose! I was hooked from the blurb and glued to the story once I started. A depraved H is my favorite kind of H and Kitty hit the nail on the head with this one. Is it bad that Mick’s stalking and kidnapping seemed more endearing that creepy to me? Maybe I should contact my therapist to discuss this in our next session. When it came to 🌶️spicy time🌶️ my stomach did the thing and had me wishing I was Paige, cause lawd have mercy I need me some of that in my life. I also have a weird obsession with H’s who are actually bad. And Mick sure was bad. I won’t spoil in my review but I loved the direction their relationship took! Paige is the kind of heroine I look for in my dark romances. A healthy balance of timid and mild, mixed with a whole lot of crazy and wild. Overall this was a solid debut and I give it 5/5 stars! Can’t wait to read more by this author.
When I saw this book in the recommendations for dark romance I really expected a lot since I literally like very dark books to read and I am not ashamed to admit it. But this book did not do for me. I had high hopes for this book. This book MC was the delulu kind. The story on how they fall for each other is too delulu and so idiotic and does not make any sense. She is being kidnapped the 1st time by that guy and somehow she ends up doing it with him and escapes from him. And you don't disclose who he really is to your friends and the police. Are you freaking kidding me??? And she gets kidnapped the 2nd time and nobody really cares where she is and where she goes? So she wants to be with the MC and that's why she didn't disclose who he really is in the 1st kidnapping.?? I don't even know what instances are sane than the other. The only reason I gave 3 stars is for the smut part. But the story as a whole, its not ok. I hope the other books of this author does not disappoint me.
If You Want a New Favorite Unhinged MMC, Look No Further
Good Gods, I’m obsessed with Mick!!!
Tropes: M/F Serial ki//er St@lker Unhinged with PTSD Familial trauma Ex-boyfriend trauma/drama 🔪play 🩸play Bondage Captivity Revenge
TW’s: Blood, injury in detail, murder, st@lking, trafficking, torture, kidnapping, captivity, dub-con, r@pe (not by MMC), drugs hidden in food, emotional and mental abuse, controlling behavior, possessive behavior. And probably more that I just can’t think of.
Mick is officially my favorite unhinged MMC 🥹 I love him and Paige and I really wasn’t sure how this was going to turn into a “healthy” relationship, if unconventional, but Rose made it work. And it worked SO well.
Please mind the triggers. This can get gory but Gods is it worth it! The spice is spicyyyy 🥵
It's kinda like haunting/hunting adeline had a baby but there is no romance. The concept was there but the execution missed the mark. It was missing the development of their relationship for me. The falling in love if you will... I just didn't feel the spark between the two.
I was hooked in the beginning and then quickly lost interest. Then, about half to three quarters of the way through, I got hooked again. It wasn't till the end of the book that I was really vibing. The characters just we're developed enough for me to be engulfed in the story. The FMC made too many stupid decisions, and I really dislike when a plot is carried solely on the female being dumb. Overall, I enjoyed the story for what it was but wish I had more.
Kitty Rose is an independently published author; I am very impressed with this work from Kitty Rose as this is her debut novel; compared to other newly published works, I am pleased with the attention to editing as I feel mistakes detract from how great a work can be. It is fitting this books release is during “spooky season” as the story revolves around a serial K!ller falling in love with his captive. This is a dark and detailed story - not for the faint Of heart. It is thrilling, fast paced, with the Perfect amount of mind f*ckery that will have you questioning your own sanity. Overall, I enjoyed this book and look forward to More work from kitty rose. Thank you so much for having me on your Team!
Wowww, this book was so unbelievably incredible. The way Kitty writes is just unreal, I loved the dual POV throughout the book, and getting to know Mick and Paige like I knew them so well. The spice in this book is UNMATCHED, it’s dark and sooo hot, you literally cannot miss out on this book. Watching Paige become a new woman, discovering the darkness inside of her with the help of her st@lker Mick & his dark mind was amazing, I’ve never read a book with this kind of story where the FMC joins in with the villain’s games, and it was perfection. I love the st@lker & kidn@pping tropes and this book was FULL of it, totally action packed and kept me on my toes throughout. Bleed For Me is a f**ked up fairytale and I LOVED IT 🥵🌶️🔪
I loved the way that the author build the though process for the MMC & the FMC. It really helped you feel more immersed. I was totally hooked at the start from this book. I wouldnt say it was a fast/slow burn. I felt the plot built their relationship and the world around them perfectly. It was such a good plot for a spicy book!
I absolutely loved what she became with him and the care it took.
I couldnt find anything that I didnt like about the book. My only part where I was like what the heck are you doing is when she goes back to work! But at the same time I feel like that was pretty relatable.
Over all spice was AMAZING! It kept my attention during the whole book and its the only book ive finished in one day for this year!
Stalker. Captive. Kidnapping. Touch her & Die. Blood Play. Paige has relocated after a bad breakup. Unfortunately, the town of Santa Fe has a serial unaliver. Mick hunts under the name of the Blood Shadow and his prey simply needs to be alive. His obsession expands when he comes across Paige. Mick will do anything to capture her. This book is dark and twisty and oh-so good. This is a dark romance. I read this book within 24 hours! It was that good. The character and plot development are truly amazing. Paige changed from a passive woman to a fierce FMC. While unconventional, Mick was totally devoted to Paige. I love the very ending of the book. No spoilers! But I could completely relate to Paige’s feelings. Personally, I also love that it’s an unconventional ending.
Please for the love all all Read the trigger warnings, this is a deep dark romance and some content might not be for everyone. Stalker/captive/ ser*al k*ller
Now that we have that cleared up! This book was a fast burn and oh so hot! The MMC is unhinged and there is a darkness in him that I would love to see more of. The FMC is just a sweet naive little thing, she has her worries but man does she come out of her shell. Some of the actions portrayed might not fit everyone’s okay but man oh man was this intriguing. This story was excellently written it made me want more of the characters and their story. He helps her figure out who she truly is and she helps the darkness in him. Mick and Paige are everything.
5 * and 5🥵 very well done Kitty Rose. Can’t wait to read more from you.
Welp, as the name suggests, this book contains A LOT of blood 🩸
This was a pretty fast-paced ride, with our serial killer MMC stalking and kidnapping the innocent FMC, and eventually opening her eyes to his world and discovering a darkness within herself.
The book was GREAT overall, but I felt it had somewhat of a choppy flow. Some parts felt rushed, there were a few time lapses summarized when I'd rather them be lived through/read as a scene. Also, I know the whole point in a dark romance like this is for the FMC to fall for the villainous MMC, but I feel like the turnaround time from hate/fear to acceptance was too quick here? Like I don't feel like enough had happened for him to “earn” the relationship evolution at the time the switch took place.
This is a dark romance, included in KU. On my personal scale, this falls just under a pitch black read. There were multiple instances of on-page SA and captive scenarios, so be very mindful of your mental health.
There's definitely some degradation/humiliation, plus some pointy object and red fluids, hand necklaces, and ropes at various points. Over the top possessive MMC, with st4lk3r and unaliving tendencies.
Obviously, this book will not be for everyone, but if you're a person without reading sensitivities, definitely try this book. I would guesstimate a 60% plot 40% spice ratio and does have an HEA.
I will definitely be reading more of this author when I'm in a mood for dark. From the sounds of other titles, they are all in a similar wheelhouse, and I enjoyed this one.
Running away after catching her fiance and best friend in bed. Paige ends up in Santa Fe. She ends up working at the local coffee shop and meets new people everyday. But one day she met someone handsome, dark and mysterious. Mick was always dark. Even from the beginning. He's not named the "Blood Shadow" for nothing. One day he meets Paige at the coffee shop and his obsession begins.
𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
Bleed for me by Kitty Rose was so dark and beautiful. It was like Dexter but with so much more darkness and steam to it. Paige tried to hide who she really was but Mick knew and wasn't going to let her hide it away. I loved the relationship building aspect. The plot was crazy. It took so many turns my head that I didn't expect. It had so much spice 4/5. It was 🔥. Kitty Rose did a fantastic job on this one and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬:
