This book starts with a young boy named Jess who wants to show that he is the fastest runner in the fifth grade. Is plans are ruined when a girl named Leslie runs across and bets all the boys. The two become fast friends and together create a magical world of Terabithia. I gave this book one star because it wasn't really interesting and kind of sad. I think that kids that like to play pretend would like this book. I think this because this book is about an imaginary world and the power of imagination.
I enjoyed reading this book. I saw the movie before I had read the book and the book was much better. I think that the book is really sad, I actually cried! I think that it was a great journey and the book can teach a lot. The only thing I didn't like was there was a little to much imagination they could have made it seem more real.
This book is a useful tool to be able to teach students. The book will go through what to read before you read and it also gives authors notes. This is extremely useful to use.
