I haven't finished all of the notes in the back. I just read bits and pieces of them as I read through the narrative. But, I loved the narrative style of this book, it really puts Philippians in a new light. It makes you even more forward to meeting these people in heaven some day to see how events really happened and what their experiences really were.

I gave this book to my husband for Father's Day one year and ended up stealing it from him. I re-read it every other year. This book makes Philippians come alive. You experience the people and culture of the Philippi church. You share in the joys, sorrows, and struggles of these early believers. No other book compares to this. It is also a commentary of the book, which allows you to dive deeper. It's an unforgettable read.
