It was ok. That pathos and angst and pining for each other that used to be there in vintage mills and boons is missing in the current lot.

They’re kind of interchangeable. One for the other.

Hero and heroine feel a passing attraction and almost do it in the elevator.

They do reach the bedroom …. twice. That’s a lot in mills and boon years.

Cut to two years later. The heroine is a mom.

Hero turns up at her house and suggests they pick up where they left off. They knew each other??

Why is there never a getting to know period?? A slow burn. An attraction that is off the charts?

Hero finds out he is a father. Been there. Done that with his nephew. Is heart hurt. Won’t look at his own child. Ok. I get that.

But next he suggests they go away to his villa. In Greece. So they go. Villa. Island. Villa. Athens. Island. Or some such developments. Some stylist suggesting clothes for a few pages in total.

Anyway. Over there he starts being a hands on father and sleeping with the heroine.

All I can say is it was ok.

Practically real life.

No terrible love or terrible excitement. No surprises.

Everything happened on a smooth road from beginning to end .

————————————————- This is how the story was. A flat line.

I’m glad the heroine was a lawyer for once. But we never saw her do anything lawyerly. She just wanted to be a trophy wife.

I’ve loved the Christakis meets his match and his brother’s story. They were nice.

I do like this author.

I wish she would think of putting a bit of a 📉 📈 ⬆️↘️↗️⬇️ ↩️🔁⏺️ in her story

So that’s my review.

A delightful book

This was a good book. The h and H were instantly attracted to each other, when she started working for him. She was part of his legal team. They had a brief affair which led to an unexpected pregnancy. He broke off the relationship without knowing she became pregnant. Two years later, he came back looking for her to discover that she had his daughter. Both had difficult and sad childhoods which created trust issues. They were able to overcome their issues to find their HEA. Great epilogue.

Wow so the heroine was the one with issues here. Hero was also tortured but he faced and declared his feelings sooner than the heroine who had mother issues. Their chemistry was hot and the epilogue all kinds of cute! Made me smile!!

Safe: we are told that hero was married and had a child but it turns out this is not the case. Heroine is not a virgin and they were both celibate while apart!

Ajax had already lost a wife and child yet meeting Erin the chemistry between them was strong and charismatic. Ajax wanted nothing do to with love and emotion. Once he found out he had fathered a child with Erin he knew that his life was about to dramatically change. Luckily for him Erin was the catalyst that changed his life to one full of love and happiness.

It Was An Ok Story, The H And h Had Issues That They Had To Overcome. And Since It Was Some What Flat After The Prologue It Was Good Thinking For AG To Start It Off As Such. However I Just Couldn’t Wrap My Head Around The H’s Song And Dance.
