Silver Wish Farm is book number twelve from the Pepper Bay series but can very easily be read as a standalone with no problems. To get the full effect of this wonderful series it would be best to read the books in order as the stories intertwine and include recurring characters.
In this book we return to the wonderful Pepper Bay in the beautiful Isle of Wight .
Silver Wish Farm is an emotional, heartwarming, fun story and the characters are all like long lost friends.
This is a lovely, comforting story full of drama and love and gave me wonderful, cosy, feel-good vibes. Oh and don’t forget that all important happily ever after…….

The Pepper Bay series is one of my favorites and I've read quite a few in it though not quite all yet.
It makes for comfortable reading to be able to return to this series time after time and feel familiar with the setting and characters that many we've met before in other books in the series. Not a problem if this is your first read in the series though as it's a delightful story all on its own.
We were introduced to Heath and Rhett, and you've got to love their names in another book in the series. They have a backstory, Rhett never showed up for her wedding with Heath many years ago and she broke his heart. They keep it civil though because they have a child together and coparent her. We do see a lot of differences in their families and how they were raised and how it affected each of them and still does. As Rhett spends more time with Heath with and without their daughter those old feelings come rushing back but their newfound second chance romance is anything but rushed. Through many heart to heart and emotional talks they must decide what is right for them, their daughter and the farm. A beautiful second chance romance and a man who wants to open his heart back up to the possibility of a second chance love but is afraid to. I really enjoyed how this wasn't rushed they thought of their daughter's wants and needs and how she would feel about the chance of her parents reuniting for good.
The author writes a fun and realistic book from the heart. Family relationships are important, and the characters draw you in to care about them.
Looking forward to reading the next installment in this series.

Hello again Pepper Bay, it is so lovely to return.
This series is one of those that you can just pick up a book and instantly feel like you are among friends. I have missed a few books in this series but as the books are designed to be standalones it isn't an issue - although they are so delightful that I would recommend reading them all.

Hello again Pepper Bay, it is so lovely to return.

Although a standalone, this story seems to carry on from where The Gatehouse Cafe left off. Focussing on different members of Viv and Finn's families, you are kept up to date with how life is panning out for everyone. As ever, the family rallies round and the wonderful Pepper Bay community is in evidence.
Heath and Rhett have known each other since they were at school and their relationship has been complicated. In some ways, they are both still nursing a broken heart. You also the contrast between Heath and Rhett's upbringing and soon realise that Rhett is carrying some secrets from her past. She has spent too long hiding her feelings and covering up what happened in her family, even from her sister. Nevertheless, she has surrounded her daughter with love and tried to give her everything she missed out on.
This is such an enjoyable series, with relatable characters and as ever, the gorgeous Isle of Wight as a backdrop.
In short: Is love enough?

I was really looking forward to the next installment in the Pepper Bay series and I wasn't disappointed.
This time around the focus is on Heath and Rhett who were young sweethearts. Rhett was pregnant and they planned to marry but Heath was jilted.
Over the years they coparented their daughter. Both of them never really stopped loving one another, but they were in denial.
Again, the author has written another amazing story. Heath comes across as such a lovely guy from a lovely family. Rhett, however, is troubled by her past and the events which led her to jilting Heath. She finally opens up to him and her story is heartbreaking. She is such a fiesty, independent person but I felt this was also her downfall at times.
Old friends from previous books pop up which I love. A beautiful, heartwarming read with some humour too.

Heath and Rhett were to be married when they were young. They didn't, but they had a daughter, Willow. Rhett and Heath co parented, and Willow had a bedroom at each of her parents, as well as at her grandparents (Heath's parents). Heath lives at Silver Wish farm in the house he built for Rhett and himself.
This book is about how Rhett and Heaths relationship after Willow leaves for an extended holiday after graduating, before she starts work running the garden centre at Silver Wish Farm.
Whilst each book is a standalone story, the books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

I was thrilled to learn more about Rhett and Heath and how they had gone from being love’s young dream to simply co-parenting their daughter. Whenever they were mentioned in previous books, it was obvious that there was more than a little falling out between them. Of course, not having read the other books will not put you at a disadvantage.
Heath is the wonderfully imagined local carpenter who also turns his hand to anything that is required, including converting his family home so that he has his own separate apartment within the Farmhouse. He has a loving family, and his daughter is definitely his pride and joy. His masculinity is not in question, and neither is it vaguely toxic, as he is totally in touch with his gentler side..
Rhett is a more complicated character, and it takes us quite deep into the story before we learn more about what drove her to make a life-altering decision, one that would leave her yearning for another chance at love. She is strong and feisty, often to her own detriment, but she is conflicted when faced with Heath.
Whilst this is not exactly a difficult story to figure out, there was plenty to keep the reader guessing about the reasons for their current situation and how they would ever find a happy ending. That’s not a spoiler as this author is a huge fan of a HEA. It's a wonderful addition to a gorgeous series.

This was a good second-chance romance but here is what I felt was needed or the book lacked for me:
1) The story felt too dragged and slow. The pacing could have been a bit quick.
2) There could have been alternating timelines.I would love to understand more about why or how them getting back together didn't happen sooner in those 21 years of co-parenting. How and why suddenly? I felt like including alternating timeline would also add to the build-up of yearning and pining and we can see how they act upon it. Plus, we could have also seen how post the FMC not showing up to the register office, how the awkwardness of things were handled.

Whilst I've lost count of what book in the series we're up to now, I do know that I don't want it to end.
The series took a little piece of my heart when I realised it was set in fictional towns on the Isle of Wight, my birthplace and home for fifty years.
Continuing on from the previous book, Silver Wish Farm is the love story of Rhett and Heath, who incidentally have the best names EVER for a love story!
It's a heartwarming easy read, with an emotive storyline which features some new additions and some familiar faces.

Yes I needed Heath to get his HEA. I am not 100% in love with Rhett. She came across as too cold for me but that's due to her upbringing. Bring on the next book in the series.

I loved being back in Pepper Bay and reading Rhett and Heath’s story. Rhett has had a very different upbringing to Heath who comes from the loving Silver family. The story starts with Rhett jilting Heath on their wedding day. Things are never the same between them but they have a daughter together and Rhett remains close to the Silver family. Heath has always wondered why Rhett didn’t turn up that day and now he wants answers. This is heartbreaking as well as heartwarming as we follow their journey in finding out what happened and how they feel about each other now. I absolutely devoured this and can’t recommend the Pepper Bay books enough. KT Dady covers so many different topics but in a ways that are relevant and easy to follow.

There has been a lot of heartbreak and regrets in Rhett’s life and it looks like the bad luck is still following her about. Heath has been a constant throughout her life, they had a relationship when younger that produced their daughter, Willow, but she jilted him on their wedding day. Despite this, Heath has always tried to be there for her, and they co-parent their daughter together.
So many secrets revealed in this one, and new characters introduced (I loved Florence!). I loved this one and read it in a day, can’t wait for the next book in the series - just love the occupants of Pepper Bay.

For book 11 I said I was thrilled to say I had not missed out on any books in this series. Unfortunately life got in the way and I ended up missing a few books in this series, not reading them as ARCs, but I am so happy that I have gone back to catch up with what I have missed!
