Not really worth the time. No real progress on the story line and I think it would’ve made sense to have a proof reader/editor review it before sending out to the reading audience.

I was given an ARC of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Taylor has many battles to fight. Who to trust? Strange things are happening in the camp but Taylor is on another mission; could the revelation be true? There are plenty of villains and the action is ongoing. I like Taylor because she's tough yet vulnerable and always tries to do the right thing. She has certainly been betrayed by many but still is honourable.

Well-written and fast-paced with great characters and a believable sense of place.

Highly recommended. I am looking forward to know what happens next.

Another good story in the series but this one was bedevilled by what I can only describe as atrocious proof-reading. I found loads of errors in the text which just grated on me. These errors were such that I am surprised that the book was considered ready for publication in its current state. It is this facet that has caused me to give the book a 2-star rating.

Spoiler: Isabel believing their uncle, Barney, over Taylor pissed me off. However them going to find their mom, was just a good idea on the authors part. I liked the bonding happening between isabel and the dad!

But the whole idea of non humans being taken to this lab, is so fascinatingly disturbing to me. Hated how this book ended with all of them being taken!

I love this author. I wish there were not so many mistakes in
editing. I hate to have to stop reading to cool off from bad grammar, to wrong names to stupid mistakes. Who are the editors??? Shame on you!!! Do your job! These books could all be rated 5 stars.

They should reduce the price for errors and size. A simple spell check would be simple to do and verify quotes ending.

First time ever reading a book in 2 days. I’m normally a slow reader but damn I love this series. Each book plot keeps getting better and better! I think this series is in my top favs tbh, even up there with ACOTAR, CC & Fourth Wing!

Downsides: I think this series is written for young adult but it’s still a phenomenal storyline. I try to ignore the missing words and spelling mistakes. The names of the characters get mixed up too, multiple times in this series which is annoying but I assume the author is independent so I can get past it. The story line makes it all worth it.

Remember in the last review when I said that POV Evil Leader was hilarious and couldn't be topped? Well that can move on over, because POV New Big Bad is here!! Seriously, this is funny as heck and I'm living for it.

I can feel myself slowing down in reading this series, but still planning on finishing the whole series.

The writing has remained at a similar level to the first book, which is disappointing. By book 7, you would expect some growth in writing style and quality but this hasn't been the case.

Story lines remain interesting, the drama levels are steadily increasing, and character growth is there (even minimally so in some cases).

I thought I was done complaining about the AI narrator, but somehow it continues to get worse instead of improving. In this book, Jesse's "voice" changes multiple times to a very female voice. It's very confusing, especially when nothing else is differentiating between his voice and someone like Dr. Brown.

The series continues to surprise me with how well it's kept my interest after the point that I originally thought would be the series end.

Every time I think Taylor might finally be reunited with her mother, something else happens and I am left desperate to know what happens next!

Need continued many of the same storylines from the previous books, but by this point the series was starting to feel more repetitive than exciting.

The mysteries surrounding Mistfalls, Taylor’s powers, and her destiny are still there, and there are a few new developments along the way. However, it felt like the story was making very little progress compared to the amount of time spent building suspense. Each book seems to promise major revelations, but the payoff rarely feels substantial enough to justify the buildup.

I still found myself wanting answers, which is what kept me reading. I was curious about where Taylor’s journey would ultimately lead and how the various mysteries would connect. Unfortunately, much of this installment felt like it was extending the story rather than advancing it.

The premise remains interesting, and I can see why the series might appeal to readers who enjoy long-running paranormal fantasy stories. For me, though, this book reinforced the feeling that the series could have been condensed significantly without losing much of the plot.

At this stage, I was mostly reading to see the story through to the end. The concept still had potential, but the pacing continued to hold it back. 1 star.
