Submissive is one of the better erotic/bondage novels I've read. The attraction between Gillian and Bruce begins on present day earth and continues in a land of where surrendering to one's most secret desires is part of life. The bondage aspects are very hot without coming across as ugly or cruel. It reminded me somewhat of The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty series, only with a primary romance. The characters of the Dhjinn and Ur'theriems (angels) were intriguing to read about, too. While these were based on fairytale archetypes I liked the way the author provided each with a solid distinctive personality. A delightful and entertaining novel, I think Submissive is rare treat for fans of the genre.

This was an interesting fantasy that failed to interest me. It was also somewhat poorly written, and a little difficult to follow. For all it's explicitness, I failed to become excited over this book.

Very poor character development. Did not understand the "mythology".
The relationship between the characters had little depth.

Definitely would not recommend to anyone.

Tried to get into this book it just wasn't happening. Struggled to finish it and the ending was super weak.
