Mask of death.

Chief Mitch has to solve more murders. One a wildlife ranger, the other a school principal, plus a dead eagle. In the eagle's case it was killed for its feathers which are used in Cherokee dance rituals. The two humans? One in the wrong place at the wrong time and the other, a case of retribution for an old crime. Throw in a fanatical old white supremacist and the fact Mitch has a new lady friend who is Cherokee. Good story only marred by atrocious typo mistakes, so numerous I stopped noticing them. Whoever typed it up for an e-book did a poor job of it. However I enjoyed the story. Recommended.

I really enjoyed this series. Each nook builds on the characters. Mitch Bushyhead is a fun character. He wasn’t perfect so it was good to see the puzzle pieces fall into place together. I’m bummed that she only wrote limited books in this series and The Molly Besrpaw series as well. Lots of Cherokee history and facts included throughout the book.

A "good read." Not a gripping, can't-put-it-down kind of read but definitely held my interest. Will read more of Hager's Mitch Bushyhead books.

Good read

Enjoyed the story, Jean makes her stories flow so that makes it easy to read her mysteries and being part Cherokee I like that she includes some history as well

I like reading mysteries and about Native American culture. This mystery was good, but I find all the editing mistakes to be distracting. Ms Hager needs to get a better editor.
