Jim Hansen is a former college football star who lost his wife two years ago and has fallen into a deep depression and lost a faith that once defined his life. Indy is a young dog who escapes abuse and through a set of circumstances is united with Jim. As they bond healing takes place for both, but Indy is no ordinary dog. When Jim takes him to the dog park, he discovers the beautiful mixed-breed dog is blessed with uncommon speed and Jim enters Indy in a national race called the Fast Cat. Speed is not the only thing Indy is blessed with as people he encounters seem to find blessings and healings. Jim finds love with a woman named Karen who also is recovering from a damaged life. When Indy’s original owner and abuser finds out Indy is still alive, he develops an intricate plan to kidnap the dog as he blames him for the problems in his life. When Indy is taken, he miraculously escapes and attempts to find his way back to Jim with the help of a man who has also experienced loss. Indy is an up story of faith and redemption and the people who are blessed by this remarkable dog.
