Oh wow ! I need a few minutes because all of the drama going on in this book was just too much to handle! I mean Niki didn’t hold nothing back at all.
Two sisters with a very rocky relationship are at odds with one another. Sadly these two have never gotten along. Kalice, a 25 year old woman with the world before her and having paved a way for herself, is forced to give all of that up to love back home to take care of her sick mother. It doesn’t help her mom doesn’t care for her and is always comparing her to her old sister, Malika. She has everything anyone would want a husband , kids , and being wealthy. Sometimes things are always as they seem. This book was a rollercoaster ride ! I cannot wait to listen to book 2. Where is it !?

My Sentiments:
I was hoping that the two sisters Kalice and Milika would be able to get together before their mother died, but that didn't happen in all the chaos surrounding both of them. This story was a real tearjerker in what went on between these two sisters. As the story ends on a cliffhanger, we find out that there was more to this story as karma shows its head through someone who was supposed to be Kalice's best friend. The author did an excellent job of giving the story some characters off the chart that would keep the reader turning the pages to see what was coming next. The ending will definitely leave you wanting more of this story.
In the next series, we want to discover what it was all about that motivated this best friend to turn as she had done.

I skimmed it mostly. It was a short read but almost got a did-not-finish rating. The constant giggling, laughing and immaturity was a turn off.
