Larissa C. Moyer spent her early adult life bouncing around different cities as a musical theater actor and making lattes behind too many espresso bars to count. When she isn't snuggling with her dog or driving her sweet husband completely bananas, she can usually be found reading a romance novel with some sort of beverage or snack close by. Amazingly, though, sometimes she can do all of those things at the same time! Her plan is write epic love stories in each of the cities she lived and loved. I believe this is the book that follows Larissa C. Moyer’s, In Our Hands, but it can also be read as a standalone. I did not read the first book. I’m not sure if that lessens my experience with reading Finding More or not. It’s hard to imagine that it would as I had a beautiful experience with this book.
I feel like this book got off to a pretty slow start. It took me longer than it typically does to read a book of this size. I’ll be honest, I thought about not finishing it but, I’m glad I stuck with it because this story is breathtaking. Things started to click for me about halfway through and by 70% the tears started eking their way out.
Amelia had a horrific start to life, surviving ten years with a horrible mother and being passed around foster care for years before finding a couple that made her feel safe, feel seen, feel worthy and loved. She doesn’t get attached to people and never gives her real name to the men she meets. Dean is a recovering alcoholic and newly single dad who just barely gets through the week, so that he can get to the weekends that he spends with his daughter. A chance encounter between Amelia and Dean finds them instantly attracted to each other…
Dean is one of the most developed characters I’ve ever read. His evolution through this story was devastatingly beautiful, as was his relationship with Amelia. Two broken people found each other and created a wonderful life, together. They didn’t ignore or shy away from the darkest parts or the pain that each had, they embraced it and stayed through the storm. There is plenty of spice in this book, only I wouldn’t really call it spice, it was pure, raw need and passion. There is addiction and mental health representation and it was done with such tact and grace. There is also ASL and deaf representation which was done tastefully and respectfully. Every character in this story played a vital role.
The ending was perfect.
I’ve never read a novel where ASL was the primary language. It was done flawlessly, I think. My brain easily recognized and pictured these conversations happening. The story broke my heart and handed it back, healed. It was a slow start but well worth the read. It is beautiful. It is heartbreaking. It is deep. There are so many layers to this novel. This is something I’ll be thinking about for a long time.
I received an advance reader copy and am leaving my review voluntarily. Thank you Larissa C. Moyer and Sunny Babe PR for the honor of receiving this book.
I'll be honest. You weren't my favorite person in the first book. Truthfully, I had no idea how you would come around and redeem yourself. But redeem yourself you did. Tenfold! Your redemption story is THE redemption story of all time.
“We can be bigger than our mistakes.”
You found love not only in Amelia, but in yourself and THAT is the true love story.
“Love is a force to be f*cking reckoned with. It demands all of you, and I think that’s why we miss the mark sometimes. Sometimes we’re not in a position to give all of ourselves, but we try anyway.”
I had no idea that I would care so much for Dean's character. Between reading Otis and Evelyn's story and now Dean and Amelia's, those Roberts boys really know how to tug on a girl's heart.
Larissa Moyer has struck again (pun intended). How the hell did she work such incredible magic to make Dean—the character we all were against in in our hands— a likable, hot, daddy hero I couldn't get enough of? I have no idea. But damn, did I love this book. There were just so many aspects of this book that really did it for me. I feel like Moyer has just grown so much as an author, and it shows through the pages of finding more as she traverses some new shades of trauma through Dean and Amelia. Her characters are just so well-tuned and always feel relatable without feeling like they're trying to pander to readers. I am forever impressed and sucked in by Moyer's writing style, her words encapsulate my heart and make me feel everything and I absolutely love it. The romance element of this book took my breath away, and I found myself yearning to read more and more about Dean and Amelia and their joining. This strangers-to-lovers felt so realistic and romantic, I just couldn't get enough of it. And the smut—holy hell, the SMUT! It was fantastic, truly. I already can't wait to reread this one once I get my physical copy. There were definitely darker elements to this than in in our hands and while I adore both, I feel like they will sit beautifully on any shelf, together or apart. I can't wait for the masses to read this book and fall in love with Dean and Amelia (and Reggie and Otis and Evelyn and Ava) as much as I did. I cannot recommend it enough and I will probably not shut up about it for the next century. Also, have you seen this cover?! It's absolutely stunning!!! I cannot wait to own this book and parade it around like the beauty that she is.
“This man has given me everything and more. He’s taken every broken piece of me and stitched an existence I never could have imagined for myself. When we met five years ago, I wanted so badly to not be that sad, scared little girl anymore.”

Finding More has taken me on an emotional rollercoaster I did NOT want to get off of 🥹 this story explores some heavy topics such as mental health, addiction, and trauma but the journey Dean and Amelia take throughout this story is just so beautiful!
Dean and Amelia are two broken people who despite their faults accept each other for who they are. Although this story was a fast burn in the spice department I throughly enjoyed the emotional journey this couple took in developing and accepting their feelings 🤍
I loved some of the setbacks and mistakes taken by Amelia and Dean. This made the story even more realistic and I think showed their commitment to self-improvement. The characters were perfectly imperfect.
And the spice? 🫣 that mirror scene lives in my head RENT FREE! 🥵
I won’t lie this story did take me longer than usual for me to read. I found that personally I had to take some breaks because of some of the themes in this story. Larissa did a beautiful job depicting their struggles and I feel represented them respectfully. It didn’t feel as though these characters were tortured for no reason!
Finding More is real, messy and beautiful. I think it shows the ugly and the good of those around us. I really cannot recommend this story more. It is the companion novel to In Our Hands, however can be read as a standalone!
Now excuse me as I not only sign up to learn ASL but also read In Our Hands 😎
Thank you , Larissa Moyer and Sunny Babe PR, for the opportunity to read this arc; all opinions are my own.
Finding More is the companion novel to In Our Hands. It starts about a year after In Our Hands ends. I personally felt like Dean deserved more at the end and I am so glad we were able to get Dean's story and his side of the past. I wouldn’t recommend reading this as a stand alone because I think you need the full experience of both books. It was so satisfying to see his story and find out how life turned out. It wasn't your perfect, Hallmark romance. It was real, and messy, and beautiful. Moyer did an excellent job of covering some of the worst parts of life. Addiction, alcoholism, foster care, abuse, etc. The ASL/ deaf rep is also in this one as well as anxiety/ trauma. Even though heavier topics are covered its not a depressing read. It is full of happy moments and positive emotion. I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend both books. After reading both, I will happily devour anything Larissa C. Moyer publishes.
While reading In Our Hands, I was probably among the few people who was rooting for a Dean book, and loved him despite his many mistakes. I was really hoping that the author would give him a chance to redeem himself and do justice to that charming young man who caught Evelyn's eye and who loved his brother so fiercely. Needless to say, I was over the moon to know FINDING MORE was going to be published, and this novel did not disappoint! So while this book can be read as a standalone, I firmly believe only by reading both will you have the full picture.
The author took Dean through such a deep, soulful journey in this one. He's not quite healed yet at the beginning of this book, in fact we see him struggling often with the temptation to relapse into his drinking and smoking habits, but his strength comes from two incredile people: his baby daughter, Ava, and the unexpected encounter with Amelia.
I absolutely loved watching Dean interacting with these two girlies. His dynamic with Ava melted my heart every time, and I was so proud of Dean for wanting to be the best version of himself for his baby time and time again. And as for Amelia, she was the perfect partner for him in every way. These two were like mirrors, both hanging by a thread with the risk of snapping beneath the weight of their traumas, but both of them carrying such light within them. I fell in love with Amelia's spunky personality and her confidence as a woman, and paired with Dean's alpha man personality, they were electric! I also really liked the hard of hearing rep through her character.
The romance was a fast burn where spice is concerned--which I found perfect both for my tastes and for the characters, and the mirror scene will forever live rent free in my mind--but the development of their feelings is definitely a slow and steady burn that gets deeper the more the two open up to each other and learn to lean on one another for support.
Overall, this book took me on a journey, and I enjoyed the highs and lows in equal measure. It didn't shy away from tough topics such as alcoholism, anger issues, trauma responses, mental health and stalking, but it was in perfect balance with the romance and the spice. This series and this author have entered my Olympus of favorites, and I would definitely recommed Finding More to fans of single dads and reformed bad boys.
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.
finding more by sincerely_lovelarissa is so electrifying in the best way!!! ⚡️
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
finding more is one of the best books I read this year, HANDS DOWN!!! Since reading In Our Hands earlier this year (another one of my faves this year), I was so invested in Dean’s story and if he would get his happy ending. I was pleased to see he does!!! His backstory is so devastating to me, and his journey towards self-forgiveness is so rewarding.
Amelia is such a beautifully tragic FMC, who also receives her much-deserved happy ending. She is so courageous and strong-willed, even with all the traumatic things that have occurred in her life.
Amelia and Dean complement each other in the best ways, and their sexy scenes together are blazing hot (I had to fan myself several times)!!!
The emotions I felt while reading were nothing short of heartfelt, despair, and compassion. Their story is so real and magical, I yearn to have a love just like Dean and Amelia’s. One that embraces all the flaws and heals the soul one day at a time. Larissa’s phenomenal writing captures this in a poetic and emotional way.
All in all, finding more is a lyrical masterpiece that explores the power of deep adoration and how it can heal the brokenness inside all of us.💚✨

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions and at times it was pretty tough to read 😭 Finding More explores some heavy topics such as addiction, Mental Health and trauma the journey that both Dean and Amelia go through in this book is sometimes heartbreaking but in the end so beautiful. This is a realistic story of two broken people each with their own struggles learning to accept themselves and each other. They are perfectly imperfect.
I wasn’t sure how Dean would be redeemed in this book but Larissa worked her magic and somehow I absolutely loved him, being shown his perspective and his reasons and how he learns to navigate sobriety, post-divorce life, while being a good father to his daughter who he has shared custody of. Amelia’s story is utterly heartbreaking, finding her own path of healing and self-discovery, overcoming childhood trauma.
Larissa is a beautiful writer and the way she writes about such heavy topics is done with so much care and respect.
Finding More is the companion novel to In Our Hands and can be read as a standalone. Though I do highly recommend reading In Our Hands it’s such a beautiful story of its own.
I have been looking forward to Deans story since I read in our hands, and Larissa did not disappoint. Her books are absolutely incredible, and yet again she spoke straight to my soul. I laughed, I cried and when I finished it I wanted to start it all over again. Dean and Amelia have the most incredible and beautiful connection, I will read and hype anything Larissa writes, she is raw and real and I am here for it!
This book was very different than In Our Hands, but in positive ways. Dean is a somewhat-reformed bad boy who we met in Otis & Evelyn’s story. He is a single dad, navigating sobriety and post-divorce life while sharing custody of his daughter with his ex. Amelia is on her own path of healing and self-discovery, overcoming childhood trauma and being raised in the foster care system.
Honestly, this boils down to two *very* damaged and traumatized people, falling in love and stumbling their way to happiness. They are perfectly imperfect. Their journeys to healing are written very realistically and and the difficult parts are not skated over, which I appreciated. Larissa has a way of gut-punching you with feelings in the best way.
Also, can we get a standing ovation for the spice?! I mean, DAMN. This was a level (or 5) up from sweet Otis, and it was HOT. 🔥🔥🔥
Do you ever read a book and realize halfway through that your opinion of a character not only changed but it happened without you realizing it because it was done so organically? Because that is what happened for me in 'finding more' with Dean Roberts. I knew he had reasons for how he acted in 'in our hands' and I was fairly certain that HE believed those were good reasons. What I didn't expect was to agree. Dean is perfectly imperfect and he knows he made mistakes with Evelyn. He knows he needs to change but his perfectly imperfect woman is what truly pushed him to make those changes for good. Trauma and PTSD and honestly, any kind of mental illness is different for every single person. The way they handle it is different and the way it presents itself is different. It's hard to know what's going on in someone's head when they don't feel worthy enough to talk about it. These characters and this book were both so relatable in that aspect. I loved the way Larissa handled these tough topics and made us fall in love with a character that left a bad taste in our mouths in 'in our hands.' And then we have Amelia James, the self proclaimed hot mess. I love real characters and Amelia is as real as they come. She never tried to be anything she wasn't. She was unapologetically herself with Dean and had no idea that she was exactly what he needed. Their love story is so beautiful to me. And I appreciated the subtle bits that Larissa sprinkled in, mostly to do with Amelia's mother. Once I realized that the way she acted in the beginning was basically a coping mechanism for how her mother treated her and saw her, it made me see her trauma a little differently and understand her more as a character. Amazing read. Everyone should add it to their TBR. If Larissa writes it, I'm going to read it.
This was such a beautiful but painful love story, and I am so glad I had the chance to read this book.
Both Dean and Amelia had been through so much trauma and pain throughout their lives, and they managed to find one another when they were both at quite a low point in their lives.
I really do think that this pairing could not have been any more perfect. They stood by one another when barely anyone else would, and they actually took the time to have empathy for the other person.
Dean had been struggling with addiction for many years until his ex-wife was close to giving birth to his daughter Ava, who is 9 months old, when Dean meets Amelia. I loved seeing how much Dean cared for his daughter and that he always put her first and made her happy even if he was always second or last place to anyone else.
I also loved the interpretation of sign language within this book as Amelia was deaf and mostly used sign language to communicate rather than speaking and using her hearing aid. That was the initial moment that Amelia's interest in Dean piqued up as she saw him using sign language, which he knew as his brother is also deaf.
These two bonded pretty quickly once they let each other feel for one another. And damn I did not expect Dean to be that hot and extremely likeable. The way he was talking sometimes was absolutely insane I thought I would melt. The spice was so good between them, but that was not the point of the book.
I think this book is so beautiful, and so is the cover and also just how everything was so well written and flowed perfectly, which made the book better than I could have imagined.
- Thoughts on finding more - Holy geez, Larissa does it again. in our hands was such a good read that I was hardcore anticipating finding more. And boy, did it deliver. I would say I connected more to the characters from in our hands but I really, really connected with the theme in finding more. Dean’s character in in our hands was super complicated. It was deeper than just not liking him - I found myself wanting to know his story, how events effected him. So, when I realized he was getting his own book I was glad for him and excited to get into it. I wouldn’t even call this a redemption arc because mistakes and bad decisions do not make someone a bad person. This beautiful book is full of necessary healing and learning to navigate and reroute for both MCs. I have been on my own journey of unlearning and un-becoming over the last couple of years so I was here for that. Amelia is a beautifully, flawed and real character. She’s an independent, sex-positive woman who just needed to see that she is worthy, lovable, and enough. What she was confident and healed in is what Dean needed and where he was confident and healed in is what Amelia needed - “We match. Kind of.” ❤️🩹

i wasn’t sure if this would be for me honestly and i didn’t know what to expect and it really did surprise me at how much i loved this book! it was one of my favorite reads of 2023 so far!!
my review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌱 out of 5 📖📖📖📖📖 out of 5
you guys are going to LOVE this book!!! i can’t even begin to say enough good things 🫶🏻🫶🏻
my thoughts:
- characters are always characters and have defining traits but i felt like these characters had so much CHARACTER!!! having a deaf characters really gave this book…well the best word is character!! - this book showed some real tough shit that isn’t easy for anyone to deal with/write about and larissa did it amazingly. she got real about a lot of things other authors don’t. - a cat girly who isn’t a cat girly?! love it - single dads are HOT - i was never bored once with this book, it started off interesting and ended interesting and i loved every second of it - you are deserving of love no matter who you are, what you’ve done, or how others have made you feel - this was honestly just so sweet and cute while also being hot it was the prefect mix
Larissa!!!! Happy release day!!! This was SO beautiful!! We follow Dean, Otis’ older brother from in our hands as he navigates being a single dad, on the road to sobriety and Amelia, a former teacher with skeletons in the closet.
I love love love getting Dean’s story and seeing how his mind was working. No, I don’t approve of what he did to our sweet sweet Evelyn BUT I love getting the full picture.
I’m also IN LOVE with Amelia!! She’s so sweet, spunky, and just overall an amazing character despite the troubles in her past.
Although I realize there is probably more to her mindset of things, I am NOT a fan of the blame game Marnie essentially played with Dean whenever it came to their little girl. Like girl, come on, how are either of you going to move on if you keep whipping out the uno reverse card. Like girlie, you got some issues you need to work through.
Overall, I LOVE this book! It was spicier than the first one (as far as I can remember) but I love still getting Otis and Evelyn sprinkled throughout the story. I love how Otis and Evelyn’s issues don’t just disappear bc they found their gibbons! I LOVE the therapy and ASL representation! It was well written, wasn’t “in your face” type of deal to prove it was there. I’m very happy I got the chance to ARC read it, thank you Larissa and @sunnybabepr 🥰
🧡 ARC REVIEW 🧡 finding more - Larissa C. Moyer | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5| 🌶🌶
"I'm not worried about you surviving. I know you can do that. But being part of the world is harder."
- R E V I E W - I think Larissa Moyer wrote this book just for me. I really do. When I read "in our hands" I was a sobbing mess, and the same goes for "finding more". Also, the Fall Out Boy references! Yup. She wrote this for me.
What I love about Larissa's writing is that Dean was a completely broken and unlikable character in the first book, but some how I knew there had to be more to him. Dean's response to traumatic events are what leads him down the path he's taken in life. And there's a chance that his only source of happiness and reason to be a better man, Ava, his daughter, will be taken away from him. There are always two sides of the story, and acknowledging his past with Evelyn is what helps him to move forward.
Larissa has such a beautiful way with words. I truly fell in love with Dean and Amelia's unconventional love story. They fit together because they understand each other even without saying or signing a single word. Dean struggles with his past and his sobriety while Amelia has to deal with the ghosts of her own past.
Such beautiful writing from Larissa Moyer. In our hands was her debut novel, and finding more is the second book in the series. I can't wait to read more from her!!!
***Thank you to Larissa Moyer & @sunnybabepr for an eARC copy in exchange for my honest review***
"We don't get to pick and choose the pieces of ourselves. But if we're lucky -- like really, really, fucking lucky -- we can find someone that sees all of our broken pieces and loves us anyway."
finding more is a beautiful story of a bad boy reformed and a haunted woman struggling to escape the horrors of her past. To call it simply a romance novel would be an understatement. finding more is a love story between two people who have been broken down to their lowest low trying to move forward in a world that has been less than kind. But it is also a spicy romance, full of levity, between two people who understand each other at a soul level and like what they see, despite the sharp edges and broken pieces. It is quite dark at times, but Larissa has such an effortless way of weaving Amelia and Dean's past struggles with budding romance and hope for the future. This book is a breathtaking example of character development alongside a captivating story, and it makes the book truly unputdownable.
Amelia and Dean's story is so beautiful and one of my favorite Contemporary Romance books of all time! I can't recommend this breathtaking book enough!
I first read “In Our Hands” and kinda felt for Dean. Now reading his story felt like the redemption he needed.
He was such a misunderstood character.
What he went through in book one put book two into a whole new perspective.
I mean, your ex girlfriend is now engaged to your brother. How can that not hurt? But for him, he knew Evelyn and Otis belonged together.
As complex as his story was he was an amazing father. I LOVED how he was teaching his newborn daughter Ava sign language so she can communicate with her Uncle Otis😍
Amelia’s storyline was gut wrenching. I can’t tell you how many times I cried reading her childhood flashbacks. She deserved so much better!!
Dean and Amelia each had their own trauma and together, they supported each other through and through.
The last flashback will give you all the feels. My jaw dropped!! Absolute awe moment🥹
And it wouldn’t be a proper review without the star, Beatrice! She had main character energy and I’m here for it! Loved all the inner monologues Amelia did for her.
Firstly, I think my DM’s to Larissa as I read this should tell you everything, but I am never revealing those! Those are for her to laugh over.
I revisited my review of “in our hands” as I started to write this and realized that also needs a bump UP in ratings. I’ve reread it nearly a dozen times now. It has become a total comfort read, and I just want to live in the little Chicago bubble that these books create.
With the first book, I was prepared to fight in the streets for Dean - beautifully broken boy. When you’re dealing with someone who has an addiction, sometimes it’s hard to see the good that could be there. So I always knew his story wouldn’t disappoint…
And it did NOT. PHEW! Larissa sent me on a roller coaster of emotions with Dean and Amelia. I laughed…I cried…I got some top tier spice! Lightening is such a fitting word for them. That’s what they are.
Their happy ending is so deserved and so earned at the end of it all. Amelia is easily going to become one of my favorite FMCs of the year. Seeing her journey was just as important as Dean’s. I honestly wish I could spend more time with both of them.
Pick this up if you love something more emotional and deep with your spice because Larissa is top tier at that! As always, her disability rep is much needed in this bookish community. I can’t wait to see what she does next.
‘Life is unexplainable. This is fact. Good or bad, some things just happen..’ -Amelia (Pg. 420)
💚Looking for a book to give you all the feels? Look no further! Moyer gives it all to you as you read through her book! Incorporating a lot of new things that I have never seen in books that I’ve read before! Including her devotion to the ASL community (Very cool addition)! Also many tropes that I love and new ones that I now love! We have strangers to lovers, found family, single parent, ASL rep, and quite a few more!
When I first started this book, I was really worried that I wasn’t going to care for it after the FMC has a few interactions with a certain character in the first couple of chapters. But thanks to our dear MMC that didn’t last too long. Things didn’t start out so happy and cheery for our mains, but watching these characters grow throughout the story, out of their pasts, made my heart so happy. These characters had to fight many internal battles along the way, but showed with some help from unexpected sources, things could/would get better.
Don’t let your past hold you back from happiness that the future might hold. Don’t let it close you off to all of the possibilities and opportunities! After reading Finding More, I will definitely be looking into more books my Larissa! 💚

i absolutely loved this book. amelia and dean’s story is so beautiful written and i loved how they got their happy ending together. they both have been through a lot and are both still trying to cope with that, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do for one another.
amelia is such a strong, independent women and i really enjoyed reading her progress in letting another person in again. she is haunted by the trauma’s from her past but it makes her anything but a bitter person, everything she went through made her an even stronger person.
dean is a single dad and recovering addict, and i loved how we got to know him through this story and learned that he’s not only that. he’s such a caring person and an amazing dad and friend. he admits his mistakes, maybe even hate himself for it, but tries to do anything to prevent it from happening again.
this book contains quite a few heavy topics, so i would recommend going through the trigger warning before reading.
Their story was such an emotional one, they both experience so much in their life’s from foster care, addiction, and mental health issues.
When Amelia and Dean meet the are both not in the best places but they were brought together because i truly believe they are meant to be together, they help each other so much with all their struggles!!
Amelia is also perfect with Deans Daughter as well which is beautiful to see.
And let me just say the SPICE!! HOLY MOLY!
“You take it so good, baby.” Fucking hell. His praise talk is unraveling me. I start to bounce up and down on him.
This book was absolutely amazing!! Slow start but completely worth the wait for the build up.
Thank you so much Larissa and Sunny Babe PR for the ARC in exchange for my review!!
AHHHH. I felt absolutely every emotion that exists during this book. I absolutely am so blown away by Larissa’s amazing talent In our Hands was one of my favorite reads of the year and Dean and Amelia’s story was just earth shattering, mind blowing, absolutely beautiful, swoon worthy, messy. Literally these two have been through so much in their lives. In my opinion it’s absolutely a slowwww burn but so worth it!! The representation of the trauma in the book alcoholism, anxiety, abuse is translated so related and so real that I felt every hardship. I also love that Larissa kept up with the ASL representation it’s a beautiful touch to this story. Seriously READ both of these stories. I will forever be added Larissa to my list of AUTO BUY Authors.
RATING - 5 STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (I think I found it more than a 5 star read, though)
SPICE - 4 SPICE 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Let me just start off by saying this book was amazing ! & it definitely took me on a journey! I enjoyed all the highs and lows , talking about a lot of mental health issues, etc 💕💖 it was definitely an emotional read at some parts but it also had the right amount of romance and spice in it as well ! So it was definitely a great combination of all ♡
I also loved the love for the characters and how they leaned on one another and supported each other ❤️
I loved the author's writing. This book was definitely worth more than 5 stars in my view ✨️
Thank you so much to Larissa for this ARC. The cover is absolutely stunning and matches the inside perfectly.
I feel like I don’t even have the words for this book. I had a love/hate relationship with Dean in book 1 but getting to see his redemption here was nothing short of amazing. Dean was clearly broken in many ways and watching him rebound, recover, and do it again was heart warming.
Sweet, sweet Amelia. What a wonderful counterpart to Dean. Probably the most relatable FMC I’ve read about in a long time.
This is my top 10 reads, easy, for the year. I couldn’t put it down. I am so excited for any and every book that Larissa delivers in the future.
I’ve thought long and hard about what to say in this review. This book was my first experience in beta-reading, and this story and it’s characters have been firmly imprinted on my brain and tattooed on my heart for quite some time now.
“Finding More” is the companion to the author’s debut novel “In Our Hands”, but you can definitely as a standalone (but don’t do that-seriously. Read “In Out Hands” first, you won’t regret it).
This novel is all about Dean, the asshole ex from “In Our Hands”, and I’m honestly in awe at the author’s ability to take a character who was introduced in such a unflattering light, and have the reader willing to throw hands for him halfway through the book. Dean’s story is an absolute comeback like no other, and by the end of the book, I completely forgot that I hated him in book one.
I’m not sure whether to be impressed by or concerned with Larissa Moyer’s insane ability to write about a character’s trauma. She writes such unique, interesting, and lifelike characters! Absolutely everything about this book felt so real. I could see, smell, touch, taste, and hear this book like I was in it! The number of times this story caused me to audibly and physical REACT (both positively and negatively) is seriously unparalleled. I absolutely DEVOURED this book, and feel extremely proud to have had a hand in helping this story get to publication!!
*I was given an ARC by the author. All opinions are my own*
Deans story was perfect. You wanted to hate him in in our hands, but this just shows the trouble he had and what he overcame. Larissa made this "villain" a likable, hot Daddy hero to the FMC.
Amelia enters with her troubled past and I love the connection these two made. Larissa really knows how to write a good romance that doesn't offer the miscommunication/second act breakup and keeps it so captivating.

Oh this was so fun. It’s lighter than my normal reads but I think that makes it stand out. The light is not meant to lead you to think there isn’t spice, because there is and d@mn if Daddy Dean isn’t 🔥
The writing was thoughtful and story was very interesting. I enjoyed getting to see a new POV from characters we met in the first book. It doesn’t need to be read in order but definitely does help!
If you need something to get you out of a slump, Larissa is the one to do it! 🖤
I should’ve gotten the tissues ready on page one, I had a feeling I was going to cry. This was such a beautiful story of finding love even when it doesn’t come easy to you.
Dean is a single dad, co-parenting with his ex-wife who talks at him instead of to him. I instantly loved how Dean is with Ava.
Amelia has had a rough childhood, but overcoming the past, makes her more of an amazing person.
