Mills & Boon Blush series brings you moving, true-to-life romancesGetting shot in a robbery shattered more than Katarina Zemanova's knee. Teaching night school in the sleepy town where she grew up with her grandmother seems like a good first step.
But when Ben Brown bursts into class, that step becomes a giant leap. George Benjamin Brown is no star student. He's a recovering cynic with a newfound teenage son, Matt, and trust issues of his own. Matt sneaks off to enrol in Katarina's class, and Ben storms in to teach him a lesson, but is instead captured by Katarina. And it's the start of a learning experience none of them ever saw coming.
After graduating from Yale University, Tracy Kelleher spent the next few years working in Italy. She returned to the United States to study medieval history in graduate school at Cornell University, but decided that academic life was not for her. She migrated to the Big Apple, where she worked at an advertising agency. Fast-forward through marriage, two children, one dog, and freelance writing for newspapers and magazines. After her children entered school, she became a staff newspaper reporter and later the communications director for a non-profit organization that mediated disputes in Central and Eastern Europe. Eventually she returned to publishing as a magazine editor. Tracy sold her first romance to Kensington while she was a reporter and finally quit her day job after she found a home writing at Harlequin. Tracy values the flexible lifestyle that writing affords her. She has carried her laptop across three continents and swears that having to write in places such as Australia and Southern France has not hindered her ability to focus on her work. She currently lives in New Jersey and is hard at work on her next novel.
Cute. I liked the heroine's spunky Czech grandmother more then the main characters half the time. I also liked that it took place in New Jersey though I'm betting that the fictitious town was located in North Jersey rather then central or Southern Jersey. The storyline was rushed in places and the relationship moved too quickly as well. One minute she doesn't like him and then next they are almost in love.
Seemed like a condensed version - parts of the story were just gone. It was copyright @ 2010 by Louise Handelman. Will try one more of her books and I hope it is better.
