I thought nothing could be better than the utter queer joy we got from Gavin and Dash. But K. Sterling outdid herself with this ode to queer found family.

Reid has a very organised life and he likes it that way. He loves his family, he lives with his queerplatonic soulmate Gavin and his husband Dash, and he has a successful nanny business. But he needs a little outlet... Because, ya know, the man wants a bit of kinky fuckery from time to time, with hot older dudes. But it's one and done, no married men and no Republicans (same, Reid, same, my dude your taste is impeccable).

Enter Max. Max is an Austrian aristocrat and silver fox hunky goodness. They have a very very VERY hot encounter and Reid does his thing of 'yeah, but no, bye'. Sweet sweet Max, who had to marry a woman because 'European Prince', has been divorced for years and has two grown up daughters (yes, I know, us Euros are weird with our titles and nobility obligations, Old World shit). And at last he has decided to find his someone special. Namely Reid - aka Wes for hook up purposes. But he has bailed and there's no way to find him.

Buuuut, fate has other plans. While trying to find a way to reconnect with his estranged daughters, he ends up at Reid's house and is surprised to find hot and elusive Wes there, all the while discovering kinky hookup Wes and professional Nanny Boss Reid are one and the same. The DELIGHT Max feels at this discovery is uncontrollable and he decides then and there he won't stop until Reid agrees to be with him.

Lots of family dinners, basketball games, outings, dinners and dates ensue. But Reid will deny any of this amounts to feelings -or love, my goodness, no-, because, ya know, he doesn't do that. And he isn't going to give up his life and big queer found family, especially Gavin, for any hot and patient silver fox, no matter how much of a 'good boy' (*proceeds to melt*) he is.

But Max won't be deterred. And it was so so so wholesome and beautiful and Iovely and I want them all -the nannies, their partners and their kids, Max's daughters, and Max and Reid- to be my family forever. And go to brunch with them while we tease Reid mercilessly for his constant denial of his feelings.

Thanks K. Sterling for writing happy queer people living their happy lives and finding love along the way. Also for writing THE hottest smut to ever smut.

Honestly it was too short! I’d be on my knees asking the Author for a Novella or some shit because I won’t get over it. I won’t.

As a psychology major myself I also really appreciate the premise of this book because even tho I’m having fun, I’m learning too and I may have just discovered my love for child psychology??? HELLO. I’m also obsessed with the beautiful messages this author puts in her love stories, for this one legacy being what you define it to be. What really fucking matters!
Ughhh
Have I said I’m Obsessed already??!

My excitement for One night with the nanny was already way beyond the legal limit ever since I got to witness the cover reveal and I must say that the second I started it I knew it was going to be impossible to put it down.
This latest entry in the Nannies of New York Series is the perfect blend of kink and glitz but also a very thought-provoking conversation about expectations and not just the ones inflicted on us by others (society, the “establishment” or family) but also the ones that we set for ourselves and how the latter can sometimes be the greatest obstacle standing in the way of our own happiness.
The sexual tension that K. Sterling once again portrays so masterfully between Reid and Max is overshadowed only by how smitten they are with each other, even if at times only one of them is brave enough to admit it.
My love for this series is growing with each new book and I can only hope it will continue forever especially with some of the new (and old) characters appearing in this book…

One Night With The Nanny
by K. Sterling is one-night stand to lovers goodness with delicious steam, a dash of kink, found family, single parenting, meddling from loved ones, and a Prince who won't give up.

This series is one of my favorite examples of found family. Reid and all the members of the Marshall agency plus their significant others are simply family. They are there for each other for all the ups and the downs, and meet up weakly for brunch. On top of their self-made family unit , this book adds in Max and his two daughters who blend with the others perfectly. They all just want to see each other happy and with their special someone.

Max had never wanted anyone the way he wanted Mr. Reid Marshall. He had never allowed himself to feel anything remotely close to the same desire before, but now there was no way Max was settling for less than everything. He would have Reid’s body and his heart because he’d just stolen Max’s.

While all books in the series are steamy and have kinky aspects to them, this one took it up a notch. A hot as hell one-night stand that doesn't diminish as one night turns into two, which turns into three. I also loved the fact that our older, distinguished prince Max was the submission of the duo.

Sensible nanny by day, sexual virtuoso by night. There was no telling how many hearts Reid had broken, but Max wasn’t letting him slip through his fingers.

We’re six books into the Nannies of New York series, and it’s time for “the boss” to find his match. Whether he wants to or not.

You know all that meddling that Reid has done over the years to help those he loves?
Well, it’s coming back his way with a vengeance!
If vengeance was wonderfully lovely (exactly what he deserves)

Reid’s one night only ever rule is smashed to bits when the previous night’s conquest shows up at his door looking for help. Before long he’s helping basically-a-Prince Max bond with his younger daughter Mia. In more ways than he realizes, as those two make it a personal project to keep relationship averse Reid.

“You’re usually the one operating the switchboard. Not as much fun when the network’s buzzing about you, is it?” - Gavin in one of the best lines about the whole situation

I loved this entire book. The humor is spot on, the spice fire, and it’s heartwarming through to the end. Jonathan even managed to be more interesting than irritating! I think this one also nails home how important and strong the love between Reid and Gavin is too. It’s always been there in the background, but it shines here.

I can’t decide if my favorite parts were the email and text exchanges or Reid’s continued insistence that he and Max weren’t together as he continued to do … togethery (hush, that’s totally a word) things with him. From family dinners to *cough* private fun times.

I think most of all I liked how it wrapped up with such a satisfying conclusion
(because Reid and Gavin must not be separated. They are a set.)

Thanks to the author for the ARC, always a joy!

Reid and Max were amazing the development of both characters were simply breathtaking and everything the reader wish for there beloved characters 🤩.
-One of my favorite part of Reid's character is his undying love😍 for his family ,and his care for them above any selfish needs😆 they always come first to him 💘. like how he never missed a single one of June performance that warmed my heart 💗. And how he organize brunch to keep an eye on them and help them with there problems 🤩 , it's like his whole universe is his family 🌌.

-Max and Reid's first meeting is super hot 🥵 I bet the whole hotel was burning🥵.
and omg fate has twisted ways to bring those two together 😂, have I said how much I love you Agnes 💓 omg the meeting is hilarious I couldn't stop laughing 🤣.

-Reid brings different characters from Max, Max is very different when with Reid like more free😊 , in his element, normal even I love how Reid gets to be the one to give him this comfort to be himself 😍🥰.
-Mia is like a mini Agnes , so mischief 🤣 and wild 😜

- The date was soooo romantic that I wished to be in Reid's place so much 💜max is ready to give him the moon and he only needed to ask for it 🌕.

-Another of my favorite moments in the book is how Max started to open himself to his girls and the relationship between them started to bloom again it brought tears to my eyes 😭 it was beautify and when he was sad they stood by him and when they comforted him I was like awhhh that was cutie 🥰well done girls comfort your daddy he needs you now💜.

-Finn the best brother ever ❤️
-Gavin is the best best friend for Reid, he pushed him till he faced his feelings, truly greatest friendship ever🥰.

-Reid always thought that he was closed book to his family, oh Reid I have news for you, dear your a very open book to the world😂🤣.

-I think Gus was waiting for Reid to have someone so he won't be alone when Gus leaves, to have someone to cry on there shoulder to hold him up when everything goes down🥰.
- there was a scene between Leo and Johan and that kept me hoping for something, I can't wait to know where our next journey is and who well be our new lovely couples🔥💕.

Again thank you so soooo much K. Sterling for this beautify masterpiece and can't wait for the next book 😘😍🥰💖💖.

Reid, the owner of a queer nanny agency has regular anonymous ONS at a hotel and one night meets an older Austrian prince who falls in love with him. Reid, however, is reluctant and tries to stay away but meddling friends and some ploys plus the prince's need for help with reconnecting with his daughters get in his way.
This book is perfect for people who like insta-love, persistence in the face of a reluctant love interest and have read all of the previous books.
I missed a couple so some of the relationships, like the thing with Gavin and the place they lived (i mean, windowless room for the rest of your life?) made no sense to me so Reid appeared strange. And the emotional bit at the end had no impact because i had no idea who that was. So definitely read the other books first! Almost all characters seem to be recurring ones.

This book was not for me, though. The instalove thing made it difficult for me to take Max serious and we had no proper getting to know each other phase. Therefore some of the scenes that were probably supposed to be charming felt off and close to manipulation. And when they wanted a date where he wanted to show another side of himself, not only the prince, eating caviar at an exclusive restaurant followed by a 50.000 dollar hotel room did not scream regular guy to me. The fixing of the relationship with the girls also felt quite sudden.

If you are someone who believes in love at first sight, maybe the story will feel different to you and Max will charm your pants off. Give it a go!
Especially if you know all the other books and are familiar with all the different characters and especially Gavin.

What a wild ride this was! So much spice, kink exploration, romance and fun!

I was so looking forward to the story of Reid. Always looking after the ones he loves, but who is taking care of him?

After a really really hot and steamy night in a fancy hotel Reid is ready to slay another day, but then the hot man in question is at his front door asking him for help.
Thanks Agnes for meddling 😈

What follows is a story full of a really persistent Max (thank you Max) and a stubborn Reid.

I really loved the way Mia, Max’s daughter, is heavily invested in getting her father and Reid together. The banter, the meddling, everything is chef’s kiss.

Will Reid finally get his happily ever after with the man of his dreams and of course Gavin? You have to see for yourself 🥵🍆♥️🍑🙌🏻♥️😈🤨🥰

Thank you for providing me with this ARC. This is my honest review.

Gotta say I wasn't sure we could top Gavin and Dash but Reid and Max just swept in and unapologetically gave Reid an HEA to rival his platonic husband's. The relationship between Reid and Gavin is so so well done, close bonds like that are some of my favorite things in books, it's not always about the romance, sometimes it's just about how beautiful all forms of deep love are, and Reid and Gavin's love for each other is the heart and soul of this book.

I seriously loved so many things about this one and the dynamic between Max and Reid. Max worshiping Reid is pretty perfect, as is his adorable way of declaring intention to marry after only a few weeks contrasted with Reid's severe feelings allergy. Thank God for Gavin running in to smack some sense into Reid and save the day.

I like books where it's so obvious how deeply the characters love each other, to the point where they mention it before they're together and it isn't even a big moment because it's just a fact for them. Max is definitely like that, Reid does his best to beat the emotions back with a stick but we all know he's full of affection for Max inside 😂 Even though Reid resists falling for Max with every cell in his stubborn body, it never felt annoying or repetitive, the book does a great job of keeping you entertained as well as rooting for the two of them to straighten themselves out (metaphorically, ofc 🌈)

This was an amazing book and love story to have as a conclusion to the main nanny core. Everyone is in love and happy and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy 😭 The little found family that has been cultivated in this series is so full of heart, consider me absolutely charmed.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As an established K. Sterling fan, I LOVED seeing Reid find his happily ever after. Like the rest of the Nanny series, this installment is equal parts sweet and steamy, with a great big, meddlesome found family we all know and love.

I was giggling and kicking my feet over these two more than once.

Throughout the whole series, we’ve been getting glimpses of Reid and his story. He was the character I was most excited to read about because of his relationship with his family, and especially his relationship with Gavin. They give off strong queer platonic couple vibes, and I’m completely in love with that.

I was kind of scared to read his story; I didn’t want to see Reid change his mind for someone or discover that the most important thing he needed was romantic love. But I was so happy to find out that didn’t happen. Everyone has so much love and respect for Reid, and they all wanted the best for him, especially Max.

Max, this Austrian prince, whom Reid (and everyone else) thinks is perfect. Reid is terrified that Max might make him choose between their relationship and his family—especially between Max and Gavin. But wow, the topic was handled with so much love and respect. I loved the ending, the conversations between everyone, and the found family the author has been building since book 1.

It was also really funny! I related to Reid so much. He’s kind of controlling and a bit of a freak with lists, but I totally understand it. And I loved how Max matched his quirks perfectly.

I think all that’s left to say is that I truly loved every moment. Also, the spicy scenes in the book were pretty good. As I mentioned in my other reviews, they matched the characters’ personalities perfectly. I wasn’t expecting all the kink from Max, but it totally makes sense.

Also!!! A big thank you to the author and her team, I recived this book as an arc when I was reading book 1, really sorry for the delay, I was planning to read them as standalone, but I couldn't!! I was so inmerse in everyone story

The Nannies of New York series started off so fun and entertaining, but I haven’t enjoyed them as much as the books have gone on. I’ve been really looking forward to Reid’s story from the beginning but didn’t really feel the love so much on this one.

Reid Marshall runs The Marshall Agency, a nanny agency for queer nannies and families and has very strict rules and expectations for himself, only allowing himself one night out a week to take risks. While taking those risks, he spends an amazing night with Max von Hessen and things start to change from there. Max is a real life prince but he’s basically retired and living in NYC with his daughters who both have been putting distance between them since he divorced their mother. Reid’s expertise in children and families is exactly what Max needs to bring his family back together and both he and Reid find themselves falling for each other along the way.

I thought this story was a little too insta love focused for me with both Reid and Max falling hard and fast after even their first meeting, despite Reid putting up walls between them to keep things professional. I felt like Max used his money and position to convince Reid that they’d be good together even though he really didn’t need to do any of that. And the fixes that Reid suggests to help Max and his girls reconnect felt way too easy in the end. I had such high hopes for Reid’s story after he played such a big part in setting up all of the other nannies with their HEAs, but this story made him seem strange and inflexible, which then made Max’s unwavering pursuit of him feel a little over the top.

The found family that all of the nannies have created for themselves is super sweet and something I’d definitely want to be a part of, but the last part of the story felt a bit forced to me to bring them all together to wrap things up. I was hoping for a sweet, funny, entertaining end to this series, but this was just okay in the end for me.

This series just does not MISS!! Full disclaimer, I read this one without having read 3-5 and did just fine, though I will say I think there would be a greater appreciation for this moment within our favorite nanny squad having read the others first. That said, this book can absolutely stand on its own and is so fun and cute! Max should be protected at all costs and Reid finally getting his moment and learning to make space for himself beyond caring for his family was so beautiful. There is a lot of great healing and I just love this gang!! Also, the k!nk is really 🥵👏🏻

If you love spicy romances, read this book!!

The Reid of it all

We’ve been waiting for Reid’s story for five books now and it did not disappoint. May I dare to say this one is my favorite of the series? it might be.

Reid and Max have amazing chemistry from the get go. I was expecting Max to be equally as closed off as Reid but I almost jumped on the couch when I discovered he wasn’t. He was all in from the get go and it was beautiful to see.

Max know Reid was it for him and didn’t rest until he got his man.

I loved that all the characters we’ve grown to love were there to give Reid the push he needed to embrace his happily ever after.

I loved this book so much and even though the series is over I’m so happy I got to read it from the very beginning.

Can’t wait to see what K.Sterling cooks up next

Fantastic work, one narrative highlight after another

Rating: 5🌈

Nannies of New York is one of my favorite contemporary series. It’s been a memorable journey for a found family of Manhattan nannies who find themselves first in a position to help a family heal and thrive, then love finds them, placing them directly within the heart of the family they have come to love.

Each story has been framed out by elements of psychological drama, historical stories of love and tragedy, trauma and losses. And each new emotional venture turns into something marvelous, full of joy, laughter, often moving scenes as well as hot, sexual moments. All guaranteed to make these characters feel vivid, deeply realized and loved by the reader.

Never more so than in the story of Reid Marshall, co-founder, along with Gavin, his non sexual soulmate, of The Marshall Agency, the exclusive LGBTQIA nanny company at the heart of the series.

In the last book, we saw a hidden side of Reid’s life where his need to keep his sexual lifestyle secret, which he’s tuned into a one night a week affair. It’s complete with its own clothes and accessories, and limited to certain bars. But things immediately go awry when a distraught older royal with family problems gets added into the mix.

Maximilian, Margrave of Hessen, who has two daughters he is desperate to connect with. Max is so unique in the cast of characters we have come to know but it turns out he’s perfect. Watching him yearn for his daughter’s understanding and love is painful and heartbreaking. Getting it is heartfelt and so amazing.

And the relationship between Max and Reid that slowly and with great emotional work is truly everything. It’s funny, wrenching, incredibly sexy, and thought provoking.

A sticking point for Reid is his deep love and commitment to Gavin, his platonic soulmate, and their family that’s gathered around them. He finds it difficult to believe that anyone would want to be an equal partner with him in this situation. It’s never given a name. Gavin has a sexual relationship and loving partner in Dash who accepts that Reid will always be a part of their relationship. Polyamory? What’s in a name. It’s not given one here, just that they are all a unit. Such a great well written aspect of this book and series.

Also their sexual relationship and preferences which are very D/s and beautifully layered into their own stories and personalities but into their romance as it develops.

Sterling hits one high narrative note after another. I laughed, shook my head at the antics and confusion displayed by the characters, maybe cried at certain moments, and fanned myself at certain scenes. But always I was deeply engaged and emotional involved with everyone here. Each and everyone.

I was wondering if this was the end of the nannies. But another interesting development showed up, a character who has been popping up here and there. Apparently he’s next!

This is a series I’m thrilled to recommend. But do read them in order. It’s a fabulous journey and watching them find love, learning about the Marshall family, and all the wonderful people and dynamics is a joy to revisit.

Especially the romance of The King of Nannies and the Prince! So fantastic!

Having the read then entire series, I can honestly say this was my personal favorite installment. The series overall is my favorite I’ve ever read.

For me, this hit on such a deeper level. In all of the books, I have felt represented through the MC’s. However, I did not realize how much alike to Reid that I am until his story unfolded. The need for control, rules, order, and resistance to long term were like staring in a mirror. My husband and I are 14 years apart (he being the elder), and I resisted to the notion of settling down until his love and persistence finally won out just like Max’s love for Reid did.

What I loved the most about this story is that Max truly met Reid where he was and respected his needs for the future but in a different lens than Reid had originally thought. I loved this, because coming from a marriage with an age gap, one has to consider a different approach to your original life plan (usually the younger party), but the approach can still meet your needs. I’m still thankful my husband consistently pursued me and I came to my senses…even if I was just 19 at the time but 17 years later I’m still thankful!

In the end, Reid and Max’s story is a signature blend of humor, drama, spice, and heartfelt moments. K. Sterling delivered another engaging narrative that explores the bonds between nannies, children, and families (biological and chosen), while also shedding light on issues of class, expectations, and identity. Nannies of New York #6 is a delightful continuation of the series that will leave you eagerly awaiting what is next from K. Sterling!

Finally Reid's story, he's spent every other book helping everyone else he really deserved his own happy ending. I really wasn't expecting his and Max's dynamic, especially physically but damn it did make sense from what we know about both of them.

I enjoyed seeing Max learn how to open himself up and fix his relationship with his daughters. He was kind and thoughtful, he wanted to please everyone but was also persistent and determined when he knew what he wanted. He definitely lived a privileged life and was aware of it but he was humble and reflective on what had shaped him. I liked how besotted he was with Reid and how he found a place where he could belong.

Reid took some time to come around to the idea of him having a romantic partner and opening himself up to believing he could have someone for himself who also respected his relationship with Gavin. He was stubborn and reluctant to let himself have any more than he already had and to lose any form of control of his life but he really deserved it. He supported Max even while fighting with himself. I generally really liked their dynamic and I'm glad that Reid came round on his own timetable as it represented their relationship.

It was lovely to continue to see more of the characters from the previous books and to see them continue to be such a strong support network for each other. The writing style was easy to read and immersed me quickly.

The Marshall Agency may have begun on a whim, but it’s no accident that it’s considered the best in Manhattan. Everything goes exactly as planned because Reid Marshall only does things one way: his way. Maximilian, Margrave of Hessen, knows a thing or two about living a lie. Desperate to mend his relationship with his daughters, Max turns to the Marshall Agency’s headstrong founder for help. Only to find they have already met. Max wants more than one night with the nanny and intends to win the fiercely independent younger man’s heart. Can Reid resist, or will he too succumb to love and live happily ever after?

And so the last one falls (albeit very reluctantly). I loved the way that Reid was determined to live his life his way through one-night stands at an exclusive hotel where most men thought he was an escort. I was thrilled for Max when the advice and hard work got his daughters back as well as a chance at the man of his dreams. I loved that between the wider family and friends they all worked to push Reid to see that his objections and so-called reasons were silly and that they two men could get past everything if they really wanted to. I loved the living situation solution. Easy to read, feel and understand there were some big emotions in this story as Reid tried hard to find reasons why they couldn't be together. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

4.5 ⭐ rounded up.

In this fairytale rom-com with a twist, K Sterling has taken the classic rom-com story of the European Prince courting the American commoner and made it into something new. A queer tale of found family and focusing on what is important in life and love, not the fairytale royal romance.

The American - nanny agency founder, Reid Marshall - does not want to be wooed by a Prince, thank you very much! And he most definitely, is not looking to leave the happy home he has made with his platonic life partner, Gavin.

But interfering found family, a match-making teen, and Reid's absolute weakness for a family in need, end up bringing Reid and Max together.

We have waited so long in this series to see what would pull Reid out of his convenient life, where family is everything and he considers himself married-without-getting-naked to Gavin. And he absolutely meets his match in Max, the DILF Prince.

This is very much a rom-com. Expect hilarious setups and over-the-top rich-people lifetyles. But also found family, child psychology, dealing with insecurities and past family pressures... and kink!

In this, you'll find:
✨Contemporary MM rom-com
✨Gay, older, single dad who happens to be a sort-of Prince
✨Nanny agency founder with a penchant for incognito one night stands
✨Found family
✨One-night to fake dating to more
✨Match-making family on all sides
✨Kink explorations
✨Past arranged marriage to a women (despite being gay)
✨Being closeted for years
✨Divorce
✨Wealthy Manhattan setting
✨A HEA

I received an ARC from the author & copy-edited it.

The first half of this book left me so hopeful that this series would end on a high, only to crash and burn on the second half. I was giggling and kicking my feet at Reid and Max and their flirting, and I was even enjoying Reid's attempts at self-denial... untill it stopped being cute and became quite annoying.

The crux of it is that I don't think being dragged kicked and screaming into a relationship is romantic, even if you begrudingly admit that you love that person. I refuse to believe Reid, a man who is supposed to be in this 40s, could act so childishly as to hold on to a childhood promise and pout over the idea of "loving someone more than his best friend". I'm a huge believer on placing platonic love at the same level as romantic love, but I think there is such thing as unhealthy codependency and that the idea of ranking who you love the most like a 5th grader is ridiculous.

The most frustrating aspect of it all is that, even throughout the rest of the series, the author tries so hard to build this Gavin and Reid bond and I simply do not see it. There's really not a lot of scenes between the two of them, and the ones that are feel at the same level of emotional connection as any other scene between two characters.

I read a lot of two stars this month, but this was the most annoying one. Left me thankful it's the last time I'll ever read this characters.

One Night with the Nanny is hands down the most adorable spicy book I've ever read. ♡
It shows you how one night, one encounter, one moment can change your life. This book is very family oriented and shows the ups and downs of all types of relations in ones life. Watching Max learn about himself and work to patch his relationship with his daughters is truly heartwarming. And then there is Reid, who has wonderful and amazing relationships all around him, that he's responsible for creating and continues to feel responsible for the continued success of said relationshis. But can Reid learn to create a beautiful relationship for himself? Does Max have it in him to convince Reid he's deserving of the same love and care he gives everyone else? Will they only ever have space to have hot, sexy, steamy hook ups in ravishing hotels?

This series was so cute! I’m so excited for the spin off! It’s bitter sweet to say good bye to this wonderful found family, but I’m excited to see what’s in store for the supposed “villain” of the series in the spin off!! The bonds within this series are what make it! The connections and friendships and just beautiful and I had so much fun reading about every character and the struggles they have to face to get their happy ending!

This book was probably the best one in the series. The main character struggles with the need for control, and the need protect their family. All of these struggles seemed real and relatable, and I loved how he was able to work through them time find his prince (literally).

I also loved seeing everyone grow throughout the series, and how big their huge family is!

This book was a lot of fun. When Fin takes a job as the nanny for Walker Cameron III's triplets... he doesn't expect to like the man. Cameron is rich and seems terrified of his own children. The thing is... Walker Cameron also wants to become a better father - and that is something Fin definitely doesn't expect. The other thing Fin doesn't expect is the attraction between the two of them.

This book is really well-written. It's a fun, fast-paced story with some spice added. The triplets are lovely as is Fin's relationship with them. I thoroughly enjoyed the way that Fin was able to win them over.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

There was a lot of humour in this story - which was exactly what I needed :)

Reid & Max

Buttoned up Reid likes to get a little wild, but no commitments, no repeats and absolutely no getting attached. Reid has rules, they need to be followed to keep his perfectly planned life in order so he can keep up with his responsibilities. Max is entranced by Reid, their night together, Reid’s rules, but he sees more for them and that’s a problem. Mostly for Reid. Reid wants not part of Max’s life in the limelight even though Max will be out of it soon enough. Max needs to get devious, using his failing relationship with his daughters, he hits Reid where it hurts…helping families heal. Good story and nice wrap up to the series.

I loved that Max was not at all what I pictured for Reid and yet he really was! They have what I would call a spicy meet cute! and then another! Max is a princely silver fox single father. I adored that his daughter Mia was as persistent as he was when it came to getting his man. These guys were stubborn opposites who were meant to be together. Fabulous banter among Reid and the nanny clan. And I cannot leave without mentioning how hot and fun Reid and Max were. The chemistry was perfection. I was smiling for these two and all their family and friends.

DNF at the 75% mark.
God, so disappointing. The book is t00 long, and it felt like it was just going around in circles. I'm sad and irritated about how this made me sooo NOT like Reid. Sorry, I don't get it. He seems like the biggest red flag in this one, and I just didn't feel the love.
Reid's persistence at keeping things professional between him and Max, and Max's persistence at NOT keeping things professional actually made me slightly uncomfortable. Didn't seem to be a very healthy situation to be honest.

I was really looking forward to Reid's book. I had such high hopes for him. After all, he'd been instrumental in setting up most of his friends and family and I thought he deserved his happily ever after. Turns out Reid is an emotionally stunted jerk in my opinion. He's all about helping people through trauma, but in this case, he seems to be the cause of it. Max is equally emotionally stunted, but at least he's trying. I did not really enjoy the way Reid treated Max in this story or the way he sea-sawed back and forth.

This story is a continuation of the Nanny series and contains all the people we learned to love with the addition of Max and what an addition he is. Max meets Reid in a club and the fireworks begin. Reid is reluctant to change in his life but Max is determined and it is a delight to watch them circle and plot with each other. The one area there was no conflict with these two sexy men was the bedroom, so much heat going on!
