Revenge

Rate this book
MeriAfter serving two years in jail, I used my grandmother’s money to start college and begin a new life. As an older freshman, I was thrown into classes with much younger students. Unable to relate to them and not wanting to draw attention to my shady past, I veiled myself as a bookworm nerd. When I noticed that Carla, an autistic young girl, was being bullied, I stepped in to protect her. She kept me close as a guardian, but it didn't go over well with her billionaire sister Anna, who had taken a disliking of me. As my dark past started catching up with me, I knew someone wanted revenge and wouldn't hesitate in hurting Carla to get to me. Anna There's something peculiar about Meri, the friend my sister Carla has taken in. Carla’s best friend at our affluent university is exquisite, making her stand out from the mean girls who bully Carla for her autism. I cannot interfere with Carla’s decisions, but I can keep a close eye on Meri—until I inevitably become wildly enamored with her. But someone's seeking revenge against her for something she’s done in the past, and they're willing to harm my sister to reach her. However, what they don't realize is that I'll go to any lengths to protect my family, even if it means putting my life on the line, and that includes Meri, the love of my life.

❤️❤️

Meri was a bully in high school with her friends and her actions cause another to student to try and commit suicide. At first I was on the fence with reading this due to the topic but these are real life issues that should be discussed more and not ignored. Meri gets out of jail after two years and befriends Carla who is autistic and is also bullied. Anna is Carla’s older sister that protects her from people like who Meri used to be. Meri and Anna start to fall for each other but Meri hasn’t told Anna or Carla about her secret. I know Meri was once a bully but she was truly remorseful for her actions and paid her dues. I loved the relationship between all three of them and how they became a family. I recommend this but please read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book just in case this isn’t a book for you.

Oh and the spice was 🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️ 👌🏽 I can’t wait for book two!

A good one but sad 😢

😢 This one hurt a little. I should’ve listened to the trigger warnings. But it was a good story, really showcasing the problems with online bullying. I did enjoy the love story between Anna and Meri, but it also bothered me how quick Anna was to dismiss Meri for Carla. On the other hand I kind of understand he reasoning. Meri was a mean girl. Good story but some of the scenes made me cry.

Even a bully needs Revenge

Another great story by Jenna Kent. A bully learns the hard way the damage she could do and pays the price. After getting out of prison she tries to rebuild her life and live it as a new better person. She gets revenge on the bullies of her new found friends and almost loses them to her own past. Great story telling with, friendship, love, family and spice.

Omg

I devoured this book. The characters and storyline was just exquisite keeping me engaged from the first page. I just couldn't leave this book, even when I wasn't reading I couldn't stop thinking about it till I was done. Full of emotion and very steamy in places. I would definitely recommend this book.

3 stars. I keep trying with this author but she's just not for me. I never connect with her stories or characters. This wasn't bad actually as I found the plot kind of intriguing but I hated Anna and I'm not interested in picking up book two. Meri and Carla were great characters though. I was just bored really and I think I'm done with this author.

Great book

I enjoy a book where the 2 lead characters have instant connections. I thought Meri was amazing, admitting what she did wrong and dealing with the consequences. Anna and Carla had a sad story but loved each other as family could only do. This story hit all my emotions, but I made it through. Happy sad and sexy; you can't beat that.

Although writing could've been better but it made up for it with the chemistry btw our heroines and the emotional story that tackled many mental health issues.

Romance was beautiful and hae so of course loved it.
Also wanted more details, a more lengthy book.

Beautiful

The mistakes we make ultimately gives us the truth we need to become better humans. They are not a reflection of our true self in the end, we are better and stronger in finding and living a life of HEA.
