I was here for the mess they had going on in this book. Emercí was doing her best to keep pushing forward with her children after the death of husband and when her baby dad of her youngest went to prison. She was at financially from them both but emotionally she doing her best to keep it together while still grieving. Her and Harlo had built a bond around the kids and feelings developed and having your huaband’s enemy pop up on your bumper wasn’t a good look at all. Although the circumstances weren’t ideal, Saw was on her and was going to turn her every way but loose lol. Harris was a POS and it’s messed up how he did them kids and Alexis. Pre and Vamika I loved the bond the sisters had we each other. Shane and Fredi was just a crazy as they brother lol. Bang and Alexis was adorable and she was finally living her life!!! Amazing job ❤️
This book was ALL over the place. It had great potential but I don’t believe the author built up enough storyline from each character. I struggled to read it. And Emerci storyline wasn’t appealing AT ALL first she is a mourning widow, then has an extra kid that her brother in law accepted and raised as his own. He was not so secretly in love with her and they had several romantic encounters. Only for the said enemy to use her but be madly in love with her as well????? Then Harris faked his death only to die foreal?? I don’t know if this is the authors first novel but it will definitely be my last. WTH
I love the Mackenzie brothers. They are persistent, loyal and protective. Saw wanted Emerci as his woman and as a pawn. Emerci didn't want anything to do with her husband Harris' killer. Or so she thought. Harris was a piece of 💩 plain and simple who didn't care about anyone but himself. I liked Harlow even tho him and Emerci was stretching boundaries that should have never been crossed being he is Harris' brother. Fredo and Shane are just as crazy ad their brother Saw. Emerci, Preya or Vamika stood a chance when it came to the Mackenzie men. 💟💟
The storyline although it has been written before, I really enjoyed it. The progression of the story kept me interested all throughout the book. My two favorite characters were Emerci and the sexy, hood dude, Saw; their particular story was intriguing, as well as, comical. Their pinned up aggression literally jumped from the beginning pages and blossomed into that mature and never ending love by the close of this story. … I loved it!!! As for Harris, he is a whole ass (that’s it- that’s all)!!!
For Emercí, her life as she knew was completely different. After six years being a widow, she has two different men vying for her attention and time. However, Emercí uncovers some painful truths that leaves her world twisted and flipped. She learns that some lines can't be uncrossed. And her heart takes the brunt of the truth. This story is wickedly good with a good plot twist.
I loved the whole book from beginning to end. Saul was rescuing Emerci from things she had no clue about. Harris was a piece of ish. Harlo and Emerci knew they were playing danger a dangerous game with emotions. Saw played fire with fire and he was the extinguisher. He was in love and there was no holding back. I’m so glad everyone got their happiness and came together as one big happy family
The title of the book should be rearranged. I done read some good books by this author but this book was a missed. Emercí was confused asf & a gardening tool, she didn't know if she wanted her deceased husband brother or the man that rumored murder him. It dragged through some of the book. Harris certainly deserved everything he got because he was wrong. I'm glad she choose Saw in the end.
I loved everything about this standalone. A lot of drama but mature actions got everyone through the challenges. I loved how no matter what everyone went through, the kids were always number one priority. Only if coparenting for others could be so simple lol Saw was my favorite from the beginning ❤️ Not your typical story. Will keep you on your toes. One of the best I read this year
I would give this 3/and a half stars. Loved Emerci's sisters and the Mackenzie brothers. Harris got what he deserved. Loved how Harlo looked out for his nieces and nephews. Sex scenes were hot but repetitive for each sister, the designer labels and the brand of cars I felt could have been left out. But hey I'm not an author. 😜😜😜
You never know if you’ll find love with the person you least expected. Especially someone who was supposedly an enemy. Harris was dirty as heck for how he did Emerci. He got his though. The best man came out on top. Loved the way the brothers loved the sisters. Good read.
Glitz, oh my lord, watching Emerci go through all that unnecessary mess because of a person that was supposed to care for her just had me all in my feelings. The MacKenzie men were no joke. When I tell you Saw came concord and made her life better although she didn't see it until she could. The betrayal was the worst for Emerci. In all, this is a good read. Some twists and turns I didn't see coming but were right in where they needed to be. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️definitely 1 of my top 5 this year! The storyline the characters and the length of the book was perfect. The McKenzie brothers were exactly what each sister needed💜
I truly enjoyed this book however the romance was lacking for me. The characters did a lot of saying they were in love but not a lot of action PR backstory to how they feel in love. Emerci was going through it shawty had no shame in my opinion.
I enjoyed the book even though I thought it dragged from time to time with all the embellishment. At first I thought Harlo killed Harris and Saw knew it. The couple's had to many kids for me to keep up with in the end.
This is a very good read, excellent. It's romantic, funny, sexy, and awesome. Recognizing when it's time for a change even when your heart doesn't want you to let go. I wish you do some of the kids. On to the next one.
Harris Sr surprised me. I'm shocked at what he did and then his answer was so messed up. Those McKenzie men were something else. This is my first read by this author. I will be reading more.
First of all something was wrong with Harris how he fake his death on his family and I love her and Saw together I will definitely read more from these couples
This book was off the chain I loved it at times I was nervous like what’s go8ng to happen. But through all the drama and surprises I enjoyed this read.
