Enrolling at Kingston University and joining my mother’s sorority was the worst idea ever. Someone’s been in my room. They’re taunting me, leaving horrific photographs and chilling notes on my mirror.
My past has caught up to me, and it’s tangled in my present.
These brutal boys of SIN have me twisted up. I didn’t catch on to their cruel tactics until it was too late. Now I’m being threatened and haven’t a clue if I can trust any of them.
One deranged watcher. One protective brawler. One determined pursuer.
Beckham. Wilder. Royal.
I want to hate them for the games they’ve played, but I can’t. I’ll need their help if we’re going to unmask the true villain—the one coming after all of us.
Sigma Iota Nu. Where, one by one, our secrets will be unearthed.
Beckham is a 100,000+ word novel, the second book in the Brutal Boys of SIN trilogy, centering around three men and one woman. MMMF. This should be read AFTER the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall trilogy and Bastards of Bainbridge Hall trilogy, as they are connected.
The publishing date will be moved forward when the book is ready for release.
WARNING: This trilogy contains dark elements, graphic content, and situations that some readers may be particularly sensitive to. If you have triggers or are remotely unsure, please contact me. Also, be warned that I don't always know how a series will end or all the underlying secrets until they reveal themselves in the writing process.
This was so good, I couldn’t put it down. I have been waiting for this book ever since that crazy cliffhanger from book one. So many twists and turns, the suspense is killing me! I have so many questions, I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
Beckham is the second book in the Brutal Boys of SIN series. If you haven't read Royal yet - I suggest you stop what you're doing and read it first. The whole series needs to be read in order and preferably you need to start with the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall then move to the Bastards of Bainbridge Hall before you read Brutal Boys of SIN.
Leila James writes pure magic... this one here was so fucking intense!! The plot just keeps getting grittier and so much is happening I feel like I am reeling from it all. AND that fucking ending!!! As I have said before - her cliffhanger endings are almost the death of me. I can't start any of her series without knowing that all has been said and done.
I loved the character development in Beckham. All the MC's came right to forefront and their POV's were perfect. AND - dont even let me get started on their chemistry together. Leila is the queen at writing chemistry to perfection.
Now to dive into Wilder .... not sure how my heart is going to feel when I am done with this series.
This series is SO GOOD. like omg good. I was glued to my phone during the entire thing, and I will have to say that this is one of the most romantic books LJ has written, even with all the craziness going on! Usually on book two in her series at least one of the men are holding out with their feelings, but that's not the case here! And honestly, that was so refreshing. Royal is an absolute sweetheart, and I loved seeing him go from an untrusting, wary heartbroken guy to the man Echo knew before her life flipped upside down. I love their relationship!
And then we have Becham and Wilder! Man, these two together are just 🥵😍🥺🥰🍆🍑😍😍. There's no other way to describe them, lol! I love the push and pull between them, and that no matter what, they still have their friendship that's grounding them. Both of them have so many secrets with their past (well all of them do, really) and this deranged Sin Keeper is hellbent on exposing them all, but the way these two are there for each other, Royal and Echo is really just beautiful. I love how close this group is!
There's definitely some things that I did NOT expect to happen regarding a certain member of the Harem, but I am all here for it! Trust me, you will be too! *winks*
I have a theory regarding the Sin Keeper, especially after that crazy cliffy -- I think SK is a woman! I'm not voicing just who I think it is yet, but i have a gut feeling!
Go read this series now! I cannot wait for the final book to be in my needy hands!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **
I’m truly speechless by what I read. I knew that this book was going to push boundaries a bit but I wasn’t expecting this at all. I loved how Leila picked up right where Royal ended and how the relationships grew here between everyone.
I loved the way Echo stood up for herself but reached out to the one person she knew she could count on to be there for when she was scared. All the characters in this trilogy stand out in their own ways. But Leila has this way of writing where you can’t tell if something is supposed to be a part of the main storyline or is this a side plot happening. You can’t help but question everything and be on the edge as the book progresses.
And omf - full steam ahead. Leila did not disappoint with the spice in this book either and watching Royal open himself up to new experiences. Woo this was perfect!
Was I surprised that I sat and opened this book and got up a7 hours later? Nope! This book totally absorbed me as all of Leila’s stories. However, even tho I enjoyed Leila’s other series this one definitely tops it. It’s by far my favourite so far. Royal left us with a big cliffy and Beckham’s book continued where that left off. I love the guys. I think it’s the first time that I can’t choose a favourite and why should I? Echo doesn’t!!! The spice… oh my the spice!! The delicious ⚔️ is just chefs kiss and I think this one has more mm scenes than her other books and I’m loving it… Leila I’m here for it and I’m here for anything you write… Can’t wait to see how this all wraps up. Wilder come onnnnnn down 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You may not be ready for this but it's here and what a beautiful but broken ride we've just been on for Book 2 in this unforgettable series by Lelia James. Royal messed with our minds and our hearts but Wilder & Beckham have annihilated both and the sense of loss/need is undeniably evident through their actions and reactions. Beckham is the best stalker and his ability to do it with such expertise is some of the sexiest scenes that you will devour you throughout this book. Wilder is a bit of a wild card here and I'm beyond ready to see where Lelia takes us in the final book that won't be out till April. (internal scream...now breathe) You know this middle book of all her trilogies is the hardest to get through because there will be no resolution so prepare yourself but damn what is here is sexy, spicy, vulnerability, love, need, desire and so much more! I know you will devour this and fall even harder for our boys of Sin as we wait to see what happens with our favorite girl Echo and the men who refuse to let her go. Happy Reading!!
Beckham is the second book in the Brutal Boys of SIN series by Leila James. You can not read this as standalone so if you haven’t read Royal yet, this go one-click that now. I don’t want to spoil anything so I will make this quick.
Echo and the men next door are discovering more and more everyday. About each other. About who from the past is trying to ruin them. Echo is learning who she can trust. The four of them are full of complications, obstacles, secrets, and heat. It’s a roller coaster and I am here for it! I am loving the suspense, passion, and twists. I can’t wait for Wilder!
I truly could not put this book down! so much was happening through each chapter. I'm absolutely in love with Royal, he is definitely my favorite so far. Part of Royals storyline has been tearing at my heart and I can not wait to see that progress and what happens next. As for Beckham and Wilder OMG! Those two are amazing! There is lots of suspense and mystery throughout this entire book.
Book 2 in the Brutal Boys of SIN — Oh my goodness!!! I’m just gonna say, Leila sure knows how to do a cliffhanger because I was NOT expecting that at all. This book took me on such a wild ride. Twist and turns every which way that I was on the edge of my seat biting my nails. So much was revealed, yet we still have more we need to find out. I’m so ready to dive into Wilder’s book to find out the answers to the gazillion questions I have!! (Not rushing you at all Leila 😉… well maybe just a little but only because I love this trilogy soooo much!!!!)
This review is for the entirety of the series. This also was marked for spoilers.
To sum up the trilogy: the author was doing too much.

Summary of Events
Book 1. Echo attends university as a freshman as a legacy to TZE while her brother is a frat brother at SIN. Echo learns her ex Royal is at SIN as well, and they have a run in that, of course, makes her wet with need and a bit frightened. A “gay couple” (Wilder and Beckham) take her back to her sorority, and Royal has best mates Beckham and Wilder come into his plan to make Echo be repaid for his wrong imprisonment. Both men agree with Beckham sneaking into her room and leaving notes and Wilder playing nice guy. Something something feelings that never left burn brighter something something sex something something the real bad guy appears, and Royal finds out he has a son.
Book 2.. With Echo terrified about a man coming into her room and leaving notes, she and her elder sister and brother involve the police. Royal reconciles he has a son, and that he was in the wrong for thinking Echo is at fault for what happened to him. Echo cries and cries about not trusting the trio after learning and dealing with their assholery, but, as we all know, sex is always on the table. They need to remain on campus as to not involve Echo and Royal’s son into this, per the bad guy. And…
Hmm…
Ah! Freya (Echo’s sorority big sister who is hardly there) and her boyfriend Zane die!
Book 3. Murder mystery! Who dunnit? Well, this is where the book is basically Royal understanding his dynamic with Wilder and Beckham, how SIN is some secret “justice league” underground society with connections everywhere, and…yeah?
Huh.
Take my advice: go watch CW’s Riverdale.
This was a trilogy that was very CW and that is not a compliment. Everything felt so contrived and last minute in all these reveals on top of reveals on top of reveals. They remind me of CW shows that really wanted to look smart and mysterious, but the creators had no idea how to do it, so they pulled connections out of their ass and hoped we would all gasp.
The gasp that I did not, in fact, guspt.
WHAT WOULD HAVE IMPROVED MY RATING.
✨ A bit more from Echo, honestly. I understand she never stopped loving Royal, but she does have a son now. That doesn’t mean she needs to be perfect. She should make mistakes. But her flaws should be recognized as flaws. Having her make these mistakes and then snap-to. I want more indicators that she was hiding something. We have her POV for the love of Christ, be useful with it! I wanted more raw mother bear anger from her regarding what all three men did. I wanted to see when she went cold, and how she decides her son’s safety takes priority, meaning she’s staying away from the three men who, by correlation, caused this shit into her home after her parents died.
✨ A little less from Echo’s brother. He’s a bit too over the top. And that’s a flaw of his, understandably. But as the trilogy progressed…why didn’t he receive any sort if character arc in simmering down? He feels like the Walmart version of Killian. Speaking of the Lords…
✨ Why is Beckham a voyeur? Tristian in Royals of Forsyth is an artistic voyeur and I love him for it. He’s a control freak. Naturally, voyeurism is there too. And this is nonsexual surveillance for him too. This extends to his mates and his little sisters. You could say this stems from his ex cheating on him. So why is Beckham a voyeur? You don’t need to psychoanalyze him but give some sort of basis. Let alone, when he revealed he was a voyeur to a rightfully upset Echo, the fuck was he whispering sensually about explaining himself. That entire scene tanked my like of Echo and Beckham’s dynamic.
✨ Romantic nonsexual bonding needed a priority. It just felt like the author thought “If they have enough sex, it’ll be a relationship!” No! Echo and Wilder honestly had the most romantic chemistry while Royal and Echo had the most sexual chemistry. I wanted to see nonsexual intimate bonding with all the relationships involved. Instead, sex = romance. Sex can contribute to romance but romance is a collective effort of various intimacies. But all right 😒
Only reason this series gets 2⭐️ is that this had good bones. It just needed some more developmental editing, IMO.

⭐ - 5/5 🔥 - 3 🧮 - Highly recommend 💜 - Tropes: dark college bully romance, RH/Why Choose romance, MMMF 📚 - Standalone or series: This series should be read in order, starting with Royal. I was not prepared.
I was not prepared.
I was unprepared for the myriad emotions I felt while reading this book. One minute I was side-eyeing everyone, the next I was swooning over the guys, then in another I was ready to throw down! Not to mention the gazillion other emotions I felt.
Echo - I feel like we got a more in-depth view of her in this book. There are extra layers we didn't see in the first book. She's more than just the girl who came to school and joined a sisterhood. When you pull back the proverbial screen and start looking at her you see so much more. She's got a history that that makes you question so much. Why is she there, what is she hiding? OMG, she's hiding THAT? What else is there? oh, there's THAT too? I was so not expecting the things that were revealed slowly. As each thing came forward about her there was a resilience about her that is just so beautiful to see. Her determination was strong. The vulnerability she showed was raw and beautiful.
Beckham - I'd let him peep in my windows. That's it. Just kidding! He's a very interesting character. When people look at him, they see his base layer. Their interactions with him on the surface are not who he is deeper. When his; layers start getting pulled back it makes you take a second look. I was really curious as to why he's protective and secretive, but at the same time so charismatic. The little truths that get pulled out into bigger ones make my heart and mind messy. I was at war with my feelings and I just wanted to create chaos. Or join in the one in there. I fell in love with him in this book. His complexity drew me in big time.
The continuing story of all of them in this book had my mind racing. There were moments I stopped, went back, and re-read snippets just to make sure I read it right. Because I was already trying to piece together little clues for my theories. Could this person be doing this, or that or how does this fit together? The ups and downs got me. The spice level, the love between the characters, the history, complexity, creativity, all of it was spot on.
That ending though? Excuse me, please. Excuse me. Say what? What a crazy ride this book took me on! We still have one more to go! I need all the answers now! Incredible book, loved it!
This book was great I loved the interaction between them all an Echo. Beckham is one of my favorites then it’s Wilder then Royal
I really hate the Sin Keeper the guy is creepy especially since he just pops up on the screen an can hear you there have to be cameras I swear.
Davis is such an A to his own sister most times. Fraya is never around Cassie should’ve been Echos big sister for the sorority.
Kara what we’ve seen of her seems to be the one that just wants everyone to get along.
I for one love the tension within the group of guys an Echo especially when well you will find out when you read it 😏
The crazy creepy things that happen to Beckham,Royal,Wilder an Echo are just to coincidental imo this person seems to be fixated on Echo more but wants to ruin the guys at no cost.
We get more insight into the guys pasts Echo is there for each of them no matter what.
Royal and Echo finally realize that someone has been messing with them since they’ve been kids I think it’s the stalker creep.
The guys in SIN an the Sorority snots need a good wake up call I don’t like any of them but Cassie seems nice but it’s always the quiet ones right haha.
I’m dying for the final book in this trilogy but I suggest you start at Kingston an go from there they’re interconnected trilogy’s but in order you get more information an won’t second guess things or characters. There are character crossovers though.
This is a dark reverse harem with MM throughout each trilogy. Please check all the TW in each one there are a few different ones for each set of books.
Well I myself can’t wait to see who the sin master is how about you?
Oh. My. God. I seriously was not expecting that. This entire book has kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm trying to figure it out, and I've got nothing. I thought maybe I knew, and I've got 1 theory, but it's probably not right.
Echo has been betrayed. Beckham and Wilder messed up they were trying to be good friends and ended up hurting the girl they both fell for. Royal has been steadfast in his belief that Echo betrayed and abandoned him. When everything he thought he knew turns out to be wrong, how can he make it up to her? How can any of them prove that they'll be there for her when she's done with them?
Echo might not have a choice in letting them back into her life. She's being watched, stalked, threatened. The danger to herself and those around her is escalating. Who can she turn to? Them.
Wow. Just wow. I got to the halfway point of this book in 1 sitting. Had to try and pace myself so I wouldn't miss anything. There's plenty of twists. We learn a bit more about Wilder and Beckham. We get to find out how things went so wrong between Royal and Echo. Beckham is still a bit unhinged, and I kept waiting to see his own stalker tendencies come back to bite him. Wilder has been really steady and reliable when it comes to everything going on. Royal is trying to find his footing with not only Echo but the new dynamic going on between all of them.
I can't wait for the next one! Seriously, who is the Sin Keeper!? I've got a theory, and I'm really curious to know if I'm on the right track. Probably not, though, since I was seriously shocked at that ending.
P.S. If you made it this far into my review and are wondering about the 🌶 it's there! Oh my 🥵 is it there.
LEILA!!! WHAT?!? What did you just do?! Get back here and fix this. Once again Leila has decided to leave us on the cliffiest of cliff hangers after one heck of a page turner. Just when I think I may have an idea of what is going on and what is going to happen next, nope Leila changes the direction again and throws another twist into the story. She leaves us with question after question in a fashion that only she can do and I love her for it. Our brutal boys of SIN are as just delicious as you remember from Royal and we start to see into their past more, although there are still tons of unanswered questions with them. And I love the way they come together for Echo. Not to mention their spicy connection.. no one writes RH spice like Leila. Each one gets to prove his protectiveness and adoration for Echo individually and as a unit. And I love seeing how each of their connections grown with her and each other (yes, there is a surprise in there!). But I am still trying to wrap my head around what the SIN Keeper has in store for them all. Now Leila, please stop with your evil laughter and please go finish Wilder so we can all regain our sanity here….
The hold this series has on me is unbelievable. I am completely in love with these characters. The suspense throughout the book has created a new indent on my backside from sitting on the edge of my seat. So many questions are answered and so many more abound through this story. Echo is a tough FMC, with an amazing sense of boundaries and an instinctive knowledge of who she can rely on. I’m in awe of her character. So many aspects of each individual’s thought processes and pasts for Echo, Royal, Wilder, and Beckham are revealed that I won’t talk about here, but make each of these characters stand out so much for me. I adore the level of over the top protectiveness that Echo draws from each of these men. I could feel the connection between them all in every interaction. And the spice levels between this group will scorch your fingertips as you hold your kindle hot. There was not enough ice in my house to cool me down while reading their scenes. I should be ready now for the cliff that I knew was coming, but this one left my mouth on the floor and my brain screaming ‘What just happened’! I cannot wait to have the next part of their story in my hands!
After reading ‘Royal’ I HAD to read this book, the twists and turns that Leila brings to her books, always has me on the edge of my seat and my heart pounding 👌🏻
And those men 🥵🥵 I thought Beckham was my guy but now I’m thinking I’m a Wilder girl 🥵
I love everything about Leila’s writing, how things are said, how she portrays her characters- absolutely everything! She is one of my fav indie authors 💚
You NEED to read this series! I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough 🔥
Another great read from this author! This one picks up right after the cliffhanger in book one, and does not stop... Until the crazy cliffhanger in this one!
This story is full of drama. Secrets are exposed, their relationships with each other evolve (hello, spice) and Echo is pulled into the guys' world even more.
I'm intrigued! I love the twists and turns, the suspense. These characters may even be my favourite from this author, which is crazy to me - I loved the last two series'!
I can't wait for the final book - Wilder - for everything to unfold. It'll surely be a crazy ride!
From the very get-go, Leila has you not wanting to put this book down. She writes these characters incredibly from start to finish. The tension building is next level, their thought processes, their individual mannerisms. I cannot wait for the next book. From the very get-go Leila has you not wanting to put this book down. If it’s one thing Leila James does well, it’s leaving us wanting more. After that epic cliffhanger in book one, I was really excited to read this one and it didn’t disappoint. We get some character and relationship development on many levels here which is the perfect way to set up what I expect will be an amazing conclusion in the final book. The mysterious aspect in the plot leads an air of intense energy throughout and that culminates in another explosion cliffy (maybe the most jaw dropping yet)!
Book 2 in the SIN series, and it didn't disappoint.
This one carries one with Royal, Beckham, Wilder, and Echo. A lot of truths are exposed, but a lot of unanswered clues still. I have a couple of people I think may be behind everything, but I won't say.
I love this about leila james books, she jam packs them with so many emotions, feelings, and clues, but you never know for sure until almost the end. I can't say too much on this because I don't want to ruin it for others, but read all the KU series because they're so good!!
Well, as usual, Leila has knocked it out of the park AGAIN and left us readers screaming for more of Echo and her men! Hot doesn't do this description any justice! It was FIRE!!! If you haven't started this series, RUN!! You won't be disappointed! Echo is our main girl who's fierce and strong! Royal, Beckham, and Wilder are her boys who would jump through fire rings for her. Whoever is coming for them is going to regret it and pay dearly when the time comes! Bring on Wilder Leila! We're here for it!!!!!!
So I feel by now it’s safe to say that no one does RH bully romances quite like Leila James. Beckham picks up from that INSANE cliffhanger from book 1. I knew I needed answers and I needed them asap. This book was full of suspense, twists, turns, answers and spice. (Lots of spice might I add). I love the character development we see in book two, I’m also struggling to find a fave (but I guess that’s the best part about RH - you don’t necessarily have to have a fave). Full of angst, humour, banter, plot twists and spice - this book did not disappoint!
Goodness gracious I think this much be my favorite of all of the KU boys books yet! I love Echo and the guys and every chapter just makes me fall deeper in love and obsession with their story. This book threw me for more loops than normal, usually I can see the twists and turns coming but this time I DID NOT!!! Even the cliffhanger threw me off guard completely! How am I supposed to handle the next few months without Wilder?!?! I’m stoked to see how this story ends.
This was a fabulous read! I couldn’t put it down. I needed answers after that cliff in book one. There are plenty of twists and turn which kept me reading into the early hours of the morning.i love Echo and the connection that she has with beckham, wilder and royal. They are all so different yet perfect as a team. Ends on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for more . Leila also write the best spice! Some of these scenes 🫣🥵🥵🥵
I spent every waking moment and them some reading this book. Even almost got in trouble at work but so worth it. The relationship between Beckham, wilder, royal, and echo continue to grow. There's plenty of suspense and angst throughout the book. Leila keeps you hanging on every word and turning the pages. Each and every book she writes gets better and better. I can't wait to see what happens next.
First, as the title of my review suggests, this is book 2 of the series so make sure you’ve read book 1 first! This picks up right where the book 1 cliffhanger left us and takes us on another roller coaster of feelings and surprises. Be prepared as the twists and turns continue in this amazing continuation of the series and be ready to anxiously await book 3!
I have read and enjoyed all the Kingston University books but this one is special. It is hands down my favorite. I love these four characters and their story that begun in Royal. But, in this book, relationships become more complex and the mystery is darker than ever. I had anxiety everytime I needed to put down the book and the only thing I wanted was go back to it and learn more. I want the next book so so bad now.
