I loved this book. It ended on a cliffhanger, and I couldn't believe they had cloud stables. It was good to see Oriel change because he was a big jerk to them in the beginning, but then he saved Willow after he pulled a joke on her. I really want to read the next book because it's going to be Sapphire's birthday and that seems really cool, but our library doesn't have it.

"I was going to come back. I would never going leave you here.'" (p.g 97, Oriel) Willow is a One Year class student and is trying to make friends. She meets a couple of beautiful unicorns named, Storm, Sapphire, and Troy. Together they think they can do anything but really they are they are no match for the big world. I would recommend this book to a friend and maybe some of my family, only because it is a short book for when you have nothing else to do and it is kind of an adventure for little readers. An example of a figurative language in this book was, "The wind HOWLED around her." (p.g 95) One of the major themes in this book was, You always have someone to count on even when you don't know it.

What did I just read?

This book was surprisingly decent for the first 100 or so pages. I mean, sure, the unicorns fly without wings and sleep on clouds? Cool. That's magic. Makes perfect sense to me. I can suspend disbelief as well as any first grader.

But then suddenly a tree falls across her path and she can't get over it. And NONE of her friends can figure out how to get her over. HELLO SMALL OVERSIGHT--THEY CAN ALL FLY!!!

Face, meet palm.

Disappointed that this fun little fluffy glitterball came up with such a ridiculous climax. The author could have just as well had her unicorn trapped under the tree, and all the stuff that comes after would be exactly the same. Except it would make sense.

This is the first book in a series about unicorns going to magic school to learn to use their magic. This is a heart warming series about friends and how they help each other. Very enjoyable.

Our youngest loves everything about horses, unicorns, Pegasus, etc. She discovered this book at a library book sale and was enchanted. It was the longest book she had read and really gave her confidence to read longer chapter books.

I discovered that it is the first book in the Unicorn School series by Linda Chapman, but unfortunately none of our local libraries have the other books in their catalog. I happened upon the second book in the series, The Surprise Party, at a half-price bookstore in Ohio, but I have a feeling it will be difficult to find all five of these stories. Still, she enjoyed this one and is eager to read the next.

I thought the story was a bit trite and somewhat of a Harry Potter knock-off (though less dark and featuring unicorns, of course.) Overall, our youngest loved it and I love that it fosters a love of reading within her.

Oh, this was so terrible! Harry Potter, except instead of wizards it’s unicorns. And also boring and very predictable.

Unicorns go to magic school, get sorted into one of four houses; have their bedroom, I mean stable, at the top of a tower, eat all together in a Great Hall-esque environment, and learn charms and flying. There’s even a Forest that’s Forbidden to enter without a teacher! There’s some plot, but it’s all predictable and everything works out in the end. Of course it does, it’s unicorn school.

The next step for Rainbow Magic aficionados.

Cute little chapter book about a group of unicorns going to unicorn school. My daughter loved this book! It's not what i call great literature but it is a fun story and for girls (like my daughter) who are unicorn crazy this series makes for an entertaining evening.

I read this to Katrina as she is only 6, but i can see her in a few years reading the series by herself.

This book deals with Willow, Storm and Sapphire and how they deal with a practical joker/ bully of an older unicorn.

Needed a quick, light read to get me out of a reading slump, so I took a trip to Nostalgia Land and found this! Maybe I’m being biased, but this was a really cute and fun read ☺️

My girls, ages 7 and 8, really liked this. It's basic but kind of cute...overall structure of the school reminded me of Harry Potter. Fast, easy read!
