It’s a call to all who want to reignite hope, confidence, and their own power in a world full of challenges.
Lucy Chen's book was a read I had to reflect on for hours in between my reading sessions. As a son of South Asian immigrant parents, I can relate to the stories Lucy shares in her story.
Her vulnerable stories strengthened my faith to believe in God and myself, regardless of any negative energy from a bad circumstance or negative comments from other people. I love how Lucy shares her faith in God and expresses how humility and experiencing life in its raw and primitive form is what will grant us happiness.
Lucy's reference to technology is something I had to reflect on a lot as I have had personal negative experiences from technology use which has hindered my primitive senses as a human being. I learned from the book the importance of achieving any goal through a steady and slow process rather than trying ways to hack into the finish line (which would produce poor results).
Lucy's personal stories gave me a whole range of emotions: empathy, tears, joy, and inspiration.
If you are looking for a genuine book to read about personal stories and examples, as reference to change your life for the better, this is your book!
