New York Timesand internationally bestselling author Alex Kava’s thrilling new series introducing Ryder Creed, ex-marine turned K9 search-and-rescue dog trainer as he teams up with fan-favorite FBI profiler Maggie O’Dell.

Ryder Creed and his dogs have been making national headlines. They’ve intercepted several major drug stashes being smuggled through Atlanta’s airport. But their newfound celebrity has also garnered some unwanted attention.

When Creed and one of his dogs are called in to search a commercial fishing vessel, they discover a secret compartment. But the Colombian cartels’ latest shipment isn’t drugs. This time, its cargo is human. To make matters worse, Creed helps one of the cartel’s drug mules escape—a fourteen-year-old girl who reminds him of his younger sister who disappeared fifteen years ago.

Meanwhile, FBI agent Maggie O’Dell is investigating a series of murders — the victims tortured, killed, and dumped in the Potomac River. She suspects it’s the work of a cunning and brutal assassin, but her politically motivated boss has been putting up roadblocks.

By the time she uncovers a hit list with Creed’s name on it, it might be too late. The cartel has already sent someone to destroy Creed and everyone close to him.

But Creed and his dogs have a few surprises in store on their compound in Florida. Will it be enough to stop a ruthless cartel determined to remove the thorn in its side once and for all?

I keep reading this author's books because I cannot understand why everyone else likes them so much. I want to know what I am missing! It's one of my favourite genres so why do I find them just okay when so many people rave about them?
This one actually started well. I like Ryder and Grace but then Maggie appeared and started worrying about everything and I started skimming. Then the last quarter became really exciting and I got involved again and read straight through to the end.
And then I thought what did I actually just read? The scene with all the dogs versus the bad guys - truthfully it was like that Home Alone movie. Remember that? With all the booby traps and horrible things happening to the baddies that they weren't expecting? Well it was just like that. And then the identity of the Iceman. Really???
Sorry to be so critical. It wasn't actually a bad book and I am giving it three stars.

Breaking Creed, about a former marine who trains K-9 dogs in search and rescue operations, who was first introduced in Stranded (Maggie O’Dell Series) is the 1st book in Alex Kava’s new series, Ryder Creed.

The story begins with Creed and his dogs working on a drugs case off the coast of Florida which turns into a children trafficking case when 5 children are discovered hidden in the boat that he was doing the drug search.

Maggie O’Dell is on a case of a body found floating in the Potomac River. She and Creed are reunited when they work together looking for a missing person, who could be linked to both their cases.

I found Ryder Creed to be such a likeable character. He’s pretty damaged after his stint in Afghanistan and is now getting his life together with the help of his good friend, Hannah, and the abandoned dogs that they train to do search and rescue for law enforcements. The interaction between Creed and the dogs is so amazing….I fell in love with Grace…what an amazing and incredible character.

Fast paced plot with many twists and turns, suspense, mystery and some really interesting secondary characters.

I am hoping that something comes of the sexual tension between Creed and Maggie O”Dell in the next book…I really like these two together!!

A great start to a new series.

I just need to say upfront that I have been a fan of Alex Kava for quite some time. I don't even remember how many years it has been since I first pick up a Maggie O'Dell book but it was very early on. Every time a new book is released in the series I have been eager to get my hands on it. I have enjoyed some books better than others. When I saw that there was going to be a new series from this author, I knew that I would be reading just as soon as I could.

This book is the first in the new Ryder Creed series according to everything that I have seen. Readers of the Maggie O'Dell series should remember Ryder Creed from the most recent book in that series, Stranded. I would say that this could also easily be labeled as part of the Maggie O'Dell series since Maggie is featured throughout the book. I am not sure if the plan is to phase Maggie out of this series but I do like how this book featured both Maggie and Ryder.

Ryder Creed is a dog trainer. His dogs have become famous for their search and rescue skill. Ryder uses different dogs for different situations but we see a lot of Grace, a Jack Russell Terrier, in this book. Depending on the commands given, his dogs can find human remains, drugs, or just track a scent. While looking for drugs on a cargo ship, Grace discovers children that have been hidden.

Maggie is an FBI profiler that gets put on the case of a body found in the Potomac River. After forensic testing, it appears the body was dumped there so Maggie goes to check out the victim's home and asks for dogs to search the grounds. Ryder and Grace end up discovering much more than they were looking for on victim's property.

This was a mystery that kept me guessing the whole time. There were so many different things going on that I did wonder how everything would end up fitting together. The supporting characters in the book were wonderful and I hope to see more of them in future Ryder Creed books. I loved Jason and his veteran friends and Hannah was wonderful. The story came together so well with so much suspense that I simply could not put the book down. Towards the very end, I did figure out who the villain of the story was but I never expected the excitement of the final few chapters.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good twist and turn mystery and it will also appeal to animal lovers. I know that fans of the Maggie O'Dell series will want to be sure to pick this one up.

I received a advance reader copy of this book from Putnam Adult via Edelweiss for the purpose of providing an honest review.

Although Breaking Creed is the start of a new series you can tell Ryder Creed has featured in this authors books before, he was recapped really well though so it was easy to feel connected to him. I do think Alex Kava relies heavily on the reader loving dogs, because the plot aspect of the book was a little messy and forgettable.

The plot was just enough to keep me reading on but it didn't wow me. The relationship between characters wasn't very believable but the relationship between Ryder and his dogs was beautiful. Jason was a very good character thought and I did feel connected to him and his story, there was a moment need the end of the book that nearly made me fill up, however it did rely on a dog again (a puppy).

The mixture of really dark moments and heart-felt moments was done really well, but the ending wasn't great I didn't feel like everything was wrapped up that well, I was left wondering whether I had missed something. This was a two star read for me, but the dogs bumped it up a star.

This thriller is a real page-turner. I found I read it quickly, as it was hard to put down.

This book is marketed as the first volume in a new series by Alex Kava featuring canine expert Ryder Creed. At a fairly early stage I realised that Creed is not a new character, but one who must have appeared in earlier books featuring Kava’s key personality, the redoubtable Maggie O’Dell. He’s somewhat of a romantic interest from her past, and this new series is obviously a spin-off. Although this book is ostensibly all about Creed, O’Dell still has a prominent role, and her input is critical to the solving of the crimes. (Perhaps Kava intends to ease Creed into a more dominant position in later volumes…?)

What makes this book distinctive is the elaborate detailing of Creed’s business and home set-ups, which are dominated by his love of, and work with various canines. In Breaking Creed it is the adorable, obedient, feisty Jack Russell, Grace, whose remarkable sense of smell plays a key role in his efforts to assist Federal and State agencies to uncover evidence. She can sniff out anything from illegal drugs to blood-soaked human remains. His business partner Hannah is the other key person in his rather lonely life, which largely consists of training and deploying a variety of dogs in operations to uncover illegal activities. The dog psychology is a highlight of the book for me, dedicated dog-lover and Labrador owner that I am.

Creed’s certainly a busy boy in this fast-paced thriller. The body count continues to rise throughout the book, along with several nasty challenges to be faced by Creed and/or O’Dell. If huge cockroaches, stinging scorpions, venomous spiders and deadly snakes (eewwww!) were not enough, the intrepid duo must face murderous flunkies of the Colombian drug cartels and outwit conniving Washington bureaucrats. In the end, it all got a bit too much for me…how much doom and disaster can you pack into 300 pages?

What suffers with all this mayhem is the main narrative - there have been some nasty murders and the goal of the law enforcement officials is to find out who is responsible and bring them to book. For me personally, the focus on building more and more tension courtesy of more evil episodes diminished the detection elements of the plot. The story touches lightly on some serious issues too, such as human trafficking and child exploitation, but it does not do these topics justice IMHO.

Nevertheless, Breaking Creed is an enjoyable crime novel. Kava’s prose is fluent and easily accessible, and this helps the reader to stay riveted to the pages. It is fun, a bit scary in places, a bit grim in others, and charmingly superficial overall. An easy, pleasing read, especially appealing for dog-lovers.

SO... what makes your skin crawl? Being tied up and staked to the ground over a fire ant hill? Being dropped into an underground room filled with poisonous scorpions? How about trapped in a car with the most venomous snakes known to mankind? And spiders ... big, hairy spiders?

That's what you get in this book and a whole lot more. For those who have followed Alex Kava's Maggie O'Dell series, you will not be disappointed in this book. Although a start to a new series, Maggie plays a very important part in introducing you to Ryder Creed ... an ex-military man who now trains and handles dogs.

Some are cadaver dogs, some are drug sniffing dogs, and some are just dogs that his business partner rescues just to be dogs.

The case that Maggie is investigating bumps right into the young girl that Ryder rescued and is hiding and who is being used as a drug mule.

Engrossing book ... terrific author .... compelling characters.... riveting action

Ryder Creed is an ex-marine now running a K9 dog business where he trains mostly unwanted dogs as sniffer dogs for anything from drugs to cadavers. His most famous dog, Grace, is a little Jack Russell who has helped break many cases with him. In this case Creed and Grace get mixed up with some very nasty people indeed. Also some very nasty creatures - fire ants, poisonous spiders and snakes, scorpions and giant cockroaches. Ugh!

I really enjoyed the interaction of Ryder with his dogs and the detail about his compound and the care he lavishes on them. The writing was good but I found it hard to take the bad guys seriously as they seemed a bit amateurish and I felt that one of the topics (that of ) was not given the attention it deserved but was secondary to the rest of the narrative.

This is the first book I've read by Alex Kava so didn't realise that this series is a spin off from his popular Maggie O'Dell series, where Ryder Creed and his Jack Russell Grace have previously featured. When Maggie makes an appearance in this book it's apparent that Ryder and Maggie have worked together before and shared some past history but this book still worked fine as the first book in a new series with Maggie providing some useful investigative skills and I hope she continues to appear in the series.

Grace got me. 🐶 the relationship Creed has with his dogs is really the best part of this book.

I did enjoy this one, and the whole profiler aspect. I do however wish we got more of the actual profiling, but it wasn’t until half way through the book that I discovered she has an entire series with the profiler as the lead. I probably should give that one a to as well.

This was a quick, entertaining read. And I’ll pick up the next one soon.

Enjoyed the book. I thought it was a mystery, but I think just straight fiction. I guess I don't know enough about the different genres to classify it. It was more of an action book like a Clive Cussler book.
I am not one to give a summary of the book, there usually is a summary given to try to sell it. I also try to avoid spoilers. What I do is try to saw what I liked or didn't like.

The task of writing reviews lends itself to try to find flaws or things that could be better. The main flaw I thought was that the book is a quick read and you wish there was even more. The ending, as I worried when it hadn't happened and the remaining pages was dwindling, could have been longer, and even more dramatic. I wanted it longer because I enjoyed it and it was fun. A little over the top with creatures used as weapons, but that was part of the fun.

Others have pointed out the part where he takes a drug mule under his wing. I just went with it, but if you think about it, it was pretty stupid and there would have had to be a huge compelling reason to make it plausible.

My focus is on books with dogs and there were dogs in the book. The way used in searches, and in one part had a cool role when used with some hi-tech gear. They were not a huge focus of the book though. No anthropomorphism. No tissues needed for the dogs, although a few bugs do lose their lives. Good for action book, ok for a dog book.

As I said earlier, it was an action book, not a mystery type book. I haven't read any action books except some in high school which I have completely forgotten, and a few Clive Cussler books. I would say Clive Cussler book are much more weighty. But I enjoyed the book and would be interested in reading more of Alex Kava's books.

A new entry in Kava's universe, this introduces Creed, former Marine who's turned dog trainer. He crosses paths with longtime staple Maggie O'dell, FBI profiler, who've met in an earlier installment of her series.

A psychopathic killer employed by a crime lord into drugs and human slave trades, leaves bodies that have been tortured using poisonous species of insects and arachnids - yuck!

“The runt of the litter, of course.” Jason’s eyes lit up as he pointed to the box at Creed’s feet “To Kill a Mockingbird’s one of my favourite books. Already pick out Scout for the name.”
“From what I remember, the runt of this litter is a boy.”
“I figure he doesn’t need to know he’s named after a girl.”

Grace

I’m so glad I’ve picked up a Kava book again. I’ve forgotten how much I enjoy O’Dell and now adding Creed and his dogs… This might be my knew favourite series.
The fast pace and new characters made want more as soon as I’ve closed this book. Lucky for me we live in an instant gratification era where I could just add them instantly via e-books.
On to the next one.

REVIEW: When I first started reading “Breaking Creed”, I thought I was somewhat familiar with Alex Kava’s Maggie O’Dell series. This is important, because although this is Ryder’s first novel as a main character, Maggie shows up quite a bit. Upon looking through the books I’ve read in the past several years, no Alex Kava books popped up. Enjoying “Breaking Creed” meant that not only have I fallen in love with a new character, I get to start fresh with Alex Kava’s earlier books. For me, my friends, that is like opening up a Christmas present I didn’t even know I wanted but fell in love with instantly.

Kava had a lot of elements going on in this book, from mules smuggling drugs across the Columbian border, child kidnapping, Iraq war veterans and their struggle to re-assimilate, K-9 searches, bad drug dudes that want to take Ryder and his dogs out of commission, finally- and a dirty cop. She artfully crafted a budding relationship between Ryder and Maggie while making sure it added to rather than detracted from the main elements of the storyline. I absolutely LOVED Hannah and her tough as nails but soft hearted care for Ryder, Amanda, and her veterans. I don’t like to add spoilers to my reviews, but the ending was FANTASTIC. Just when I was completely pissed by the duplicity of some characters, they came through! Love it when that happens!!!

*Tremendous thanks to Edelweiss and Putnam Hardcover for an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A delightful easy style read. Baddies and beasties abound, a reluctant yet resourceful male lead (former marine now sniffer dog handler Ryder Creed) and the feisty FBI profiler Maggie O'Dell take on a Colombian drug cartel and their sinister assassin the Iceman, helped by military veterans. Creed is driven by the disappearance of his sister years before, at a truck stop.

The pace was gripping, with scenes intertwined, and helpful day/ date inserts to keep the reader on track.

Alex Kava is also known for her series "Maggie O'Dell" where she is a criminal profiles. I've only read 2 in that series- and I do enjoy it- ready to read more.

This is the first in this series where Ryder Creed is a spin off- normally I read books in order- but I just happen to love dogs , and this series is about an ex-marine , who is a dog trainer and helps law enforcement along the way-

I really enjoyed this book and series (I love dogs , our military and our law enforcement agencies so I knew I would love this book!)

Story line was good- fast and enjoyable read. Looking forward to reading more!

“Breaking Creed” is the first book in a new series about dog handler Ryder Creed by Alex Kava, best known for her series featuring FBI agent Maggie O’Dell. I haven’t read any of those books but I suspect those who have may recognize Creed as O’Dell appears in his book and they appear to have some history together.

Creed’s adventure is an entertaining thriller, especially for those with a soft spot for dogs. I was intrigued by her description of how search dogs work. It was apparent that Kava loved dogs even before her touching author’s note at the end. She dedicated the series to her dog ‘Scout’ who had kept her company while writing all of her previous books but passed away as she was finishing this one.

Unfortunately, while the story is interesting, it falls short in the plausibility department. Early on, he encounters a young drug mule who is afraid that one of the cocaine condoms inside her has burst. Does he inform the customs officials he is working for or take her to a hospital. No, he takes her to his home. Granted, this assures the story will be exciting by making himself a target for the cartel but it also destroys his reputation for making wise decisions. He makes a similar crazy decision when O’Dell goes into anaphylactic shock after suffering multiple scorpion stings.

I listened to and enjoyed the audio recording by Graham Winton. He did an excellent job and was a very good choice for the roll of Ryder Creed.

Bottom line: While this is an entertaining thriller, its implausible story keeps it from being exceptional.

* This review book was based on an advanced reading copy obtained at no cost from the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review. While this does take any ‘not worth what I paid for it’ statements out of my review, it otherwise has no impact on the content of my review.

Dumb! Dumb! Dumb! I was really looking forward to Breaking Creed. It does not start out too bad, but it goes stupidly south very quickly. Basic story: Marine Corps dog handler trains dogs to search for drugs and people after he leaves the Marines. In the process he becomes something of a minor celebrity for this work. He rescues a young teenage drug mule (who has swallowed 41 balloons of cocaine) from her handlers. It is worth noting that the young woman is in serious pain and experiencing severe weakness. Everything in the book is okay so far, but then instead of taking her to the police or a hospital, the dog trainer drives her for four hours to his dog training facility where he can presumably protect her from vengeful drug lords. Oh wait! He is a minor celebrity, and her handlers saw him take off with her. Is it possible he might be easy to find? AND he is driving four hours with a young teenager whose stomach is FULL of cocaine. I am sorry, but it just wasn't worth even reading farther.

I enjoyed this book, not sure why the series has a name change because both main characters share center stage throughout. Maggie Odell plays a major part in this book and so does Ryder Creed and who could forget the lovable Jack Russell named Gracie!

2 stories merging into one from human mules to human trafficking, a bit of angst tossed in, and a wrong cop all make for my kind of book.

4.5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

I have wanted to dive into this series for a while now, and finally landed a copy from my local library. I was intrigued by this book series for a couple reasons: one, I have dogs and love them to death, and two, I found the Search Dog aspect a new angle for a thriller series. I won't get bogged down on a lengthy book recap (I don't like reports), you can get that from the other reviews and the book jacket. I would rather look at aspects of the book instead.

Ryder Creed is a spin off character from the Maggie O'Dell books. I have not read that series, but like the Maggie O'Dell character, and will definitely check out that series. Ryder Creed is a former Marine who now runs a K9 search-and-rescue with his lead drug-sniffing dog Grace (a Jack Russell Terrier). Maggie O'Dell leads an investigation that takes her to Florida where she once again crosses paths with Ryder. I found that her character really took control of the story and could just easily make this another book in the Maggie O'Dell series. I would have rather had the majority of the story focus on Ryder Creed and the dogs. I get that when you intend to spin-off a new series that there will be some interplay between old and new characters. I just thought that Maggie dominated the majority of this story.

The story and the thriller aspect was excellent and had me wanting to keep reading and not put the book down. That's my kind of thriller! The assassin's use of poisonous bugs and critters to torture victims was a bit over the top, and flirted with realism at times, but I found it fun. The pit of scorpions though, that seemed a bit much.

I wish the author would have done more with the human-trafficking. She kind of just "glossed over" that without much detail, especially since it was American kids, as opposed to kids from Central America. I got the whole "Drug Conspiracy" thing, but would have been more interested in the human-trafficking aspect. And the assassin, while talked up throughout the book, sounded like a really "bad dude", actually lost some 'oomph' by the end, and I found him quite lame. THAT was a missed opportunity.

I was completely engrossed in the story up until the "High tech" dog kennels in Ryder's compound and the Camera Collars on the dogs. That was a bit much and I went from being a part of the action to scratching my head, saying "REALLY!?". I felt like all of a sudden a great story turned into a Hollywood Summer action flick with outrageous stunts for special effects, instead of keeping with a really good story. Ryder and his trained pooches could have still saved the day, just without the Batman toys.

Overall, I did find it an fun entertaining read (which is why we grab the thrillers in the first place). I enjoyed Alex Kava's writing style and most of the read. It was just 'eh' for me by the end. I will seek out the other books in this series. I'm sure this one is just laying the ground-work for the new series. Just my 2 cents!

It has been a long time since I have read a book by this author. I was lucky enough to score an early copy of this book. It was even better than I would have thought. I could not stop reading this book. I finished it over the weekend. Both Ryder and Maggie's storylines were equally strong. Sometimes when there are dueling storylines, one side is not as strong. The way that they both combined than was nice. It fit like a missing piece of a puzzle. Plus all of the other characters in the story helped add to the story. They did not feel like just secondary characters who were in the story just because there needed to be other people. All of Ryder's dogs were stars as well. I can not pick one as my favorite. I would have said Grace because she was more of the main dog but then other of Ryder's dogs made appearances as well and they each showed their own special talent. I look forward to reading more about Ryder and Maggie. They look to make a great team and I look forward to seeing what type of relationship they have together. Breaking Creed is a must read that will leave you wanting more.

4.5 stars for this one. It was sooo good. I've read and enjoyed all of Kava's Maggie O'Dell books but this was my first from the spin-off Ryder Creed series. If this first book is anything to go by, I'll be loving all of those books too.

Ryder Creed ex-marine and all round tough guy (of course) is a dog trainer and handler. They have been finding some major drug stashes but the search of a fishing vessel turns up something different - human cargo. Creed also helps one of the drug cartel's couriers to escape - a teenage girl trapped into the life. But this gets right up the nose of the drug boss.

Maggie O'Dell, while investigating a series of murders, learns that Creed is on the cartel's hit list. But she'll be right mate, Creed and his dogs are well prepared by the time the baddies turn up mob handed.

OK, you're right, it probably is a bit cheesy and full of stereotypes but those dogs where the stars of the book. Dogs can be so smart. Even my neurotic, strange but totally loving pooch surprises me at times with her smarts. Any anyway the action in the book was pretty full one and we all love a bit of action. So yes, I really enjoyed it.

Maggie thinks it's the work of a brutal assassin but her politically motivated boss has been putting up roadblocks. Then Maggie uncovers a hit list and Creeds name is on it. Though it may be to late because the Cartel has already sent someone to destroy Creed and everyone close to him. I'm giving this one star, but only because I love dogs. I swore I would not read another book from Kava, as I found the last O'Dell book that I read too stupid for publishing. But, when I read that this dealt with a dog handler, I thought I would give it a shot. What I did not factor in to my decision-making is that this book is written by the same author!!! And, she is still writing stupid plots. For example: The main character discovers a young girl in the airport who appears very sick. She tells him that she is a drug mule for a cartel and has cocaine balloons in her gut. The girl's handler tries to intervene, but Kava's dog handler decides to "rescue" the girl from her handler and instead take her on a FOUR HOUR road trip to his house. Now tell me how any rationale human being would be this stupid! You just find out a girl has cocaine balloons in her gut, she appears VERY SICK, and instead of taking her to the hospital, you take her home with you! And, instead of having the girl's handler arrested, he just lets her go! Now, how stupid is that!

**I received this book for free from (Putnam Adult) via (Edelweiss) in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.**

*Genre* Mystery
*Rating* 3.5-4

*My Thoughts*

Breaking Creed is the first book in the Ryder Creed series by Alex Kava. Kava is also the author of the Maggie O’Dell series in which ex-Marine turned K 9 search and rescue dog handler Ryder Creed previously appeared (Stranded) with his lovable Jack Russell Terrier Grace. Ryder, along with his partner Hannah, owns and operates a canine cadaver search team that has made a national name out of finding things nobody else can.

I was so excited when I discovered I had been accepted to read this book. I had read the first one, Stranded and loved the story about Ryder Creed and his dogs. And it did not disappoint!

I will say, the story started off a little slow and kind of jumped around, but then there were a bunch of characters that had to be introduced. So just keep that in mind because when the story starts unfolding you will definitely be on a ride! With Maggie in Virginia and Ryder in Florida, you wonder what in the heck these two subplots have to do with each other. No way will you be able to figure this one out.

A warning however, if you have issues with insects, scorpions and snakes, beware they play an integral part in the story. And it's not pretty.

Thank you Penguin/Putnam and Net Galley for providing me with an e-galley in exchange for my review.

An interesting mash up of multiple genres: mystery, serial killers, drug syndicates, rescue dogs, returning war vets and PTSD, turf wars between local and federal law enforcement and mild, very mild romance. The search dogs make the book seem more appealing than it might otherwise appear; many of those genres do not generally appeal to me at all.
There is a story or two within all of that and a pay-off at the end that is nicely surprising. There is more torture that seemed gratuitous and more soft romance than I expected for this book, so it was only average for me. I received this book from Penguin First to Read program.

I liked Ryder Creed and his little rescue dog Grace. I am familiar with an equally high energy jack russel terrier and can understand how great that breed could be as a cadaver or drug sniffing
pooch. Creed is macho but not an alpha a$$hat which is refreshing for me.

I'm getting a little tired of Maggie's FBI boss. Time for a change there.

I will be curious to see if this will be a Ryder Creed series with O'Dell making only brief appearances or if the two investigators will strike up the hinted at personal and professional relationship.

*Spoiler alert* If you don't like snakes, spiders or scorpions, this is one thriller to avoid. :)

Mystery, suspense, thriller, canine. Great 1st in a series.
If you love suspense, twists and turns and those of the canine persuasion, the “Ryder Creed” series by Alex Kava is a must! This is a five book (currently) series about ex-marine K-9 handler, Ryder Creed, who after leaving the military began training dogs for search and rescue. Every story brings a variety of search and rescue scenarios from looking for drugs to missing kids to tornado victims. Of course all of the characters are wonderful but most especially the furry, four-legged ones! -Chris

What a fast paced book! Absolutely love her writing. Some of the chapters will make your skin crawl but overall a fun read. It reminds me of Robert Crais' Suspect.
