He was striding across the lawn at 2a.m., his long coat billowing behind him, wearing only boots and… his boxers?
She had woken her new neighbor, and this was going to be no Pride & Prejudice encounter. Carlisle Mayfair was mortified.
Seemingly undisturbed by her nightmares, Simon is also a mass of contradictions. Deeply dedicated to his mother and sister, he won’t even talk about why. He owns a run-down fixer-upper of a house, and doesn’t have the money to even decorate, but drives a fancy sports car. He invites her over but won’t let her get close.
When he literally falls for her, she takes him to the ER for stitches and learns that Simon has a secret. Or maybe more than one…
Red hot passion isn’t enough when she herself wakes up each night from petrifying dreams. When her car went into the lake everything could have gone differently, but she was saved. Maybe Simon needs to be saved, too. But Carlisle is growing more confident that maybe neither of them is up to the task.
Come fall in love with this swoonworthy story of love and redemption and found family. Find the power of letting go and the embrace of holding on with everything you have. Real love is just around the corner—if they are willing to risk everything.
Dreamer is the seventh book in the Breathless series by award winning author Savannah Kade. It can be read as a standalone and is perfect for any steamy romance reader who wants to fall hard for a wounded hero and a love that may just take the fight of your life.

The Healing Powers of Love - This was a deeply moving and reflective story, about how Simon dealt with the pain from his childhood trauma and his sister’s mental health issues, as well as the impact his behaviour had on the people around him. The story also shows how Simon reacted to the understanding, love and support from Carlisle, whilst they tried to embark on a relationship. Even though Simon’s stubbornness nearly cost him forever happiness, finally acknowledging his love for Carlisle made him realise that she brought healing and happiness to his life. This was a truly incredible story, that deserves to be read by everyone. Grab a copy of this book and you won’t be disappointed.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be returning to the world of Breathless! Saved is the first of three books that will wrap up the series. 🫂🫂🫂
Do you remember toward the end of Lucky when Carlisle's car ran off the road and she almost died? Saved is her story. She's Christian's younger sister, so she's had a bit of a heads-up not to fully buy into all the etiquette and sometimes-sugar-glossed niceties. But she has more on her hands than she can deal with. It is absolutely not the time to fall for her hot new neighbor. Though Simon falls hard and fast for Carlisle, he's anything but the boy next door. He has a past he's ashamed of and a family to support. There's no room in his life for the woman he's coming to realize he needs. Too many other people already need him. He can see a future with Carlisle, he just can't see his way to it...
I hope you're just as excite to return to the sultry southern nights, the charm, the buried secrets and the red hot romance as I am. (If you're not reading this series yet, start with GIFTED! It's FREE right now. 💘💘💘)
Both Carlisle and Simon had severe traumas to deal with - Carlisle’s near drowning and Simon’s family issues. Simon was almost too good in some ways - always sacrificing for his mother and sister - and because he was worn to his last nerve from feeling like he had to fix every family emergency above any other concern, he would lash out at Carlisle who certainly didn’t warrant it, especially when she was just offering creative advice. Carlisle was trying to recover from a near-death experience and start a business that could prevent others from having to go through her trauma and also didn’t have the emotional band width to deal with Simon’s on and off neediness. As a former ER nurse, she did have objective experience with many emotionally taxed families and offered concrete plans. He sure didn’t value her help. Not a fun story to read.

Simon has a complicated relationship when it comes to his family as he puts everyone else’s needs before his own. He doesn’t believe he has room in his life for anyone else but rather than his neighbor being a distraction she might just be what was missing in his life.
Carlisle is trying to help from her past by helping other but as she gets to know Simon, she realizes that he also needs support and understanding. She wants to be there for him but first she needs to convince him that he doesn’t have to face everything alone.
Although the reasons are different both Simon and Carlisle have some challenges to overcome both as individuals and as a couple, but I enjoyed seeing them realize what truly mattered and that was each other.
After a traumatic event, Carlisle starts a business with her best friend, while also getting involved with her next door neighbor, Simon who also had his own dramas to deal with.
The connection between Carlisle and Simon was definitely strong but united in their own drama as well. His with family, hers with her trauma and her brother. But they come together on common ground.
Very well done, I enjoyed the supporting cast of characters like Darcy, his sister and Jane her best friend. They and others added layers of story which made for a full plot.
So well written, I can honestly recommend this book. So good!!
Carlisle and Simon have both been through some major trauma in their lives. They’re both dealing with it in their own ways, but also holding each other off because of it. Being neighbors makes it difficult to avoid the attraction between them and they slowly become friends, then more.
It’s so wonderful to be back in the beautiful town of Breathless, Georgia and finding out what is going on with characters I’ve already fallen in love with and get to know others better. I can’t recommend this series enough and Saved is just another wonderful addition.
Both Carlisle and her new neighbor, northerner Simon, have faced extreme trauma in their lives and survived. But, surviving and thriving are two very different ways of life. Becoming friends and subsequently more has been wonderful for these two, but is it enough fir them to leave their traumatic pasts behind? Beautifully written by Savannah Kade, Saved is a book that will endear you and go a long way to prove to you that there are still good people in the world willing to put in the time to help others. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Savannah Kade and Saved.
This is such a good book about Carlisle and Simon. They have a very complicated relationship because of the problems with Simon’s mom and sister and because of Carlisle’s scary accident. Savanah has done an excellent job weaving the story around their time together, adding a little of everything to keep it interesting, including some hot sex and a sweet little kitten. Read and enjoy!
