They call me the Ice Queen. A title I've been happy to hold throughout my college career. Quick to turn down any guy who approaches me.

When I'm assigned to tutor Trent Brewer, I'm determined to keep things professional.

But the football star is as hot as he is arrogant, and I'm only human. So, when he's respectful and pays attention instead of cracking jokes and being the jerk everyone knows he is, during our first session, I fall a little too hard for him.

Now, I have to decide. Do I put my heart and grades on the line, or do I stick to the plan and turn down the tight end?

I don't know when to stop. I run my mouth as hard as I run the ball on the field.

When I express my interest in the Ice Queen, I go too far, making a bet with my teammates that I can thaw her cold heart and get a date with her by the end of the month.

I immediately regret letting my big mouth make that bet. If I call it off, the quarterback Meghan turned down will use it against me.

I'm fine with losing the bet, but I'll never survive losing the girl of my dreams.

Argumento:

Meghan

Me llaman la Reina de Hielo. Un título que he estado feliz de tener a lo largo de mi carrera universitaria. Rápido para rechazar a cualquier chico que se me acerque.

Cuando me asignan ser tutor de Trent Brewer, estoy decididaa mantener las cosas profesionales.

Pero la estrella del fútbol es tan atractiva como arrogante, y yo soy sólo un ser humano. Entonces, cuando es respetuoso y presta atención en lugar de hacer bromas y ser el idiota que todos saben que es, durante nuestra primera sesión, me enamoro demasiado de él.

Ahora tengo que decidir. ¿Pongo mi corazón y mis calificaciones en juego, o me atengo al plan y rechazo al ala cerrada?

No sé cuándo parar. Corro la boca con tanta fuerza como corro la pelota en el campo.

Cuando expreso mi interés en la Reina de Hielo, voy demasiado lejos y apuesto con mis compañeros de equipo a que puedo descongelar su frío corazón y conseguir una cita con ella antes de fin de mes.

Inmediatamente me arrepiento de haber dejado que mi bocaza hiciera esa apuesta. Si lo cancelo, el mariscal de campo que Meghan rechazó lo usará en mi contra.

Estoy bien con perder la apuesta, pero nunca sobreviviré perdiendo a la chica de mis sueños.



Mi humilde opinión:

Romance corto deportivo universitario, jugador+tutora, apuesta, de enemigos a amantes.

La historia empezó bien, llegué a sentir el amor -odio entre Meghan y Trent pero todo se apresura demasiado como para disfrutarlo

Esperaba algo de drama con la apuesta que hace Trent con sus compañeros de equipo pero este conflicto no tuvo relevancia. Me cuentan que fueron miserables separados una semana pero no me mostraron. Esperé más sesiones de estudio juntos para ver alguna quemadura lenta, más enfrentamientos, algo más pero lamentablemente solo hubo una. No hay al menos un poco de desarrollo de la relación, no hay un tiempo para verlos como pareja.

Dieron a entender que entre ellos ya había una historia previa desde que comenzaron la universidad pero como nunca me mostraron, me chocó cuando Trent de repente dice que no le importa nada, ni la beca o perder los partidos si no tiene a Meghan en su vida, dio a entender que siempre estuvo enamorado de ella. Meghan pasa de no querer perdonar a Trent a perdonarlo rápido, dio rienda a la lujuria en los vestuarios y le confesó que también estaba enamorada de él.

El epílogo a tres años después no me dijo nada sobre ellos salvo que siguen juntos, un momento dulce en el cumpleaños de Meghan y ya.

Me encantan las historias cortas y este tipo de romances pero me decepcionó lo rápido que fue todo.

This was a quick and easy read that had packed so much into it that it catches you off guard with how the storyline unfolds. Meghan is a college student with a plan in place of where she wants to be after college and hasn’t dated anyone in yrs but the guys have tried and now they call her the Ice Queen and on the side she is a tutor and has just been giving a new assignment and it’s Trent Brewer the tight end football star and he is sexy but she must remain focused. Trent Brewer is the football teams tight end player and when his team mates find out he will be getting tutored by the Ice Queen and they give him heaps and he makes a bet with them that he can melt her heart and get a date with her. Now after seeing her and getting to know her he wishes he hadn’t made the stupid bet but if he back out the Quarterback will tell her everything but what they dont know he doesn’t care about the bet now he doesn’t want to lose his dream girl, but how will she take the betrayal she will feel.

College football tight end Trent (H) needs a tutor to get him through his stats class and is assigned Meghan (h), a studious woman focused on doing well in college instead of dating (shock). Trent sees something in Meghan but still allows himself to be pulled into a bet with a teammate that he can get a date with her within the month. He soon realizes that he wants more than just his usual hook-ups and when things get rough, there is a bit of emotional angst for him to try and win her back. The torment level of the 'break-up' felt overly much - they really hadn't been that involved with one another. I read a lot of short fiction but this one felt really rushed without allowing the relationship to develop. And getting into a car with three college guys you don't know? Didn't anybody teach her about stranger danger? Sorry, just say no to sex in a dirty locker room. College romance with a side of heat, lots of angst.

Tutoring the Tight End is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, college sports, curvy girl gets her football player romance. Meghan is a smart, sassy, and curvy tutor. Trent is a charming, cocky, hunky football player in need of a tutor. Meghan has been deemed the ice queen as she is serious about her studies and turns down every guy who asks her out. She finds trent both infuriating and charming at the same time. Trent teases her to get a rise out of her but is determined to make her his. When he finds out she will be his tutor, it's on. But can Meghan trust that he is all in? I loved this couple. Their bantering was hysterical, and the chemistry hot 🔥🥵!! After a little drama, we get an amazing HEA. I loved it!!.

This book focuses on Trent and Meghan. Trent is a starting tight end for the university’s football team who falls for Meghan at first sight. Meghan has actively avoided all relationships during her time at school and had earned herself the nickname of the Ice Queen from all the guys she had turned down over the years. When Trent is assigned to be tutored by Meghan, he does what he has always done in the past and runs his mouth into making a bet that he could win her over. He regrets making the bet in the first place and has to work to get back into his girl's good graces. He knew that she was his future and didn’t want to live without her. This was a very enjoyable read.

This was a great story. I loved the premise and the characters were developing well. I was really into it. Between chapter 7 and 8, I felt like we were missing something big. Great kiss, here comes some honest apology and explanation, an overreaction by the FMC, then chapter 8 comes in with her not being able to out of bed for a week. The interactions up to that point do not in any way support that angst, so it felt very out of place. After that, the whole thing just felt rushed I did enjoy how it all wrapped up and there was a sweet epilogue.

Trent was a football player on the verge of losing his scholarship if he does not keep his grades up. Meghan is determined to focus on her course work and leave relationships till later.

When Meghan is hired to tutor Trent, the connection between them is strong, but is one Meghan wants to push away. Trent is a guy and can't help but make a bet with his friends, what he did not expect was his feeling to get into the way.

Good fast read with sweet moment that melt your heart, hot times that burns your fingers and love that last for times.

Meghan aka the Ice Queen gets stuck tutoring Trent the handful jock, that just so happens to be a handful so he can get her attention. She is less than thrilled to be his tutor, more because she doesn’t trust herself alone with him. Of course he is so excited to have her as a tutor to spend time with her, he’s completely smitten with her, has been since he first saw her.

Safe read, with a hot jock and the sexy smart object of his affection. Some sexy locker room shenanigans, three years into the future, and a sweet hea.

Meghan has been dubbed the Ice Queen, she hasn’t dated anyone in three years. Trent is smitten with Meghan and when his friends find out Meghan is his tutor they tease him. He stupidly makes a bet that he will go on a date with Meghan. Now Meghan is very attracted to Trent too. What will happen when she finds out about the bet? Will Trent win his bet? Short story with spice.

I thought this was a cute romance. Trent needs a tutor to help him pass his stats class otherwise he won't be able to play football. He feels a connection with Meghan who is assigned to tutor him. However, being they typical party boy jock, he makes a bad decision that could cost him this relationship. I had to say that I was a a bit disappointed by Trent but he did redeem himself. And Meghan is a total sweetheart. I found this book sweet, a little emotional and so entertaining to read.

Trent is a typical football player, does not know when not to open his mouth. When his teammates realizes he is interested in the Ice Queen, Meghan, they harass him until he makes a bet. He pulls a few strings to get her as his tutor. After spending on session with her, he knows she is the girl of his dreams and he has made a big mistake.

What can he do to make this right or will he lose his dream girl?.

Great read from a fun author!
Loved how they had chemistry among the drama they each brought to the table.
You could feel how much they wanted to like each other, but when secrets were unveiled, would these two actually work?
Can't wait for more!
This is part of another world of this author's, but is awesome as a standalone read.

I liked this college age romance of the jock falling for his tutor. Loved the characters as they were all very individual, and hope to see some of these characters get their own books. Especially liked the frat guys as they were completely unexpected surprise in helping the heroine of this book.

This was a good story but the writing was a little disjointed. I felt like words or sometimes thoughts were skipped. There were references that did not make sense. This story was really short and could definitely have benefitted from being a little more fleshed out. It is a cute story if you are looking for something short with some heat and insta-love.
