About the author

Georgie Adams is a British children's author and editor. She was born in Tunbridge Wells, and grew up in Kent and Sussex. She was an editor for many years in the UK and Australia, was co-director of a small publishing company in London, before becoming a successful writer of children's books. She has written over 70 books, mostly for young children. Georgie is married to artist and printmaker, Tom Adams, has two daughters and three stepchildren, and lives in a rural part of North Cornwall, overlooking the Kensey Valley.

Masih dalam rangka menyambut Natal, kali ini aku dan bocah-bocah memutuskan untuk membaca buku yang dipinjam dari perpustakaan sekolah.

Sesuai judulnya, buku ini sudah tentu berisi kisah kelahiran sang bayi Natal, Yesus itu sendiri. Kalau di bagian belakang cover disebutkan bahwa buku ini cocok untuk anak usia 3-5 tahun, aku justru lebih setuju dengan rekomendasi yang tertulis di goodreads: 4-8 tahun. Kenapa? Karena kalimat-kalimatnya sudah mulai kompleks dan bukan kalimat sederhana.

Ilustrasinya sih sangatlah bagus! Buku ini pas untuk memperkenalkan kisah kelahiran bayi Yesus kepada anak-anak yang masih kecil. Cocok sekali untuk dibaca bersama menjelang hari Natal.
