Twisty and full of surprises!

This series just keeps getting better with each new book. The author is a masterful storyteller who consistently delivers vibrant descriptions, spellbinding suspense and dizzying plot twists that keep me glued to the pages despite whatever else I should be doing. Tanya Stone is an interesting and engaging character that is easy to become invested in and then there is her canine partner, Max. He is an absolute scene stealer and in this installment, he has some hair-raising experiences that kept me on the edge of my seat. If you enjoy a story with loads of suspense, surprising twists, danger and creepy cults, you just found your literary nirvana. Enjoy the ride!

I was provided with an advance copy of this book, for which I thank the author, but I am sharing my honest and unbiased review on a completely voluntary basis.

You can guarantee if Tikiri Herath wrote it, it is going to be a breath taking, heart stopping story. Her Last Lie does not disappoint. This time she is helping a fellow officer with a personal request to find his missing sister. However, when they get into town, the first thing they see is a naked corpse in the ocean. The story explodes from there. Another great story with Tanya and Max.

Outstanding opening - Stomach churning sequence from prologue on. Page after page we are thrown into a dark and ugly world. Where will it stop? Who is to blame? A puzzle inside a mystery wrapped in an enigma. I devoured every word. When a Tikiri book pops up I want to drop everything and start turning those pages. Stop the world, I want to read on. Highly Recommended

Another outstanding read in a great series with well developed characters. The unique ability that Tikiri has to draw you into a puzzle surrounded by a mystery is beyond words.
From the first page to the unexpected ending, this is the edge of your seat-up all night read that you can't afford to miss.

Family, not always what you think

Tanya is still undercover, but also bonding with the local officers so she finds herself on a trip with Fox trying out find his missing sister. This also is in a small town where things quickly are clearly not what they seem. Max helps find some deceased or injured parties and also is dog napped, the chief and department are somewhat shady with secrets and reticence to believe these crimes. Fox and Tanya deal with several major injuries and danger. The FBI angle is brought up with her supervisor not being very open to what she is doing since she left her assigned town. The ending is surprising and sad, but well developed and executed. I hope we see more of the Adams and that things improve for Fox and his wife Zoe!

What a great read, kept my attention until the end! Imaginative, suspenseful, twisted, with a credible storyline.
The best Tanya Stone book I’ve read yet!
The more I read of this author’s books, the better they seem to get.
I received this book gratis from the author as an ARC, but my review is voluntary.

I was surprised by this book. It had me hooked from the beginning. I like all the characters. I just wish that fox had not cried so much. That was a mess I think I would like to read another of this series

Heart-pounding toward the end!
Do not be a bystander or enabler. When criminals and/or toxic people see that they can get away with their dastardly deeds, they get worse. Remaining silent or not enforcing boundaries might as well be screaming permission. No turning a blind eye…you may be next.

Some sage sleuthing advice from the author:
‘Always be ready for a speedy departure.’
‘Trust you instincts, but rely on evidence.’

Next in series are ‘Her Secret Crime’, ‘Her Perfect Murder’, and ‘Her Grisly Grave’

*** Personal note: This book mentions the past and currently ongoing Russian invasion into Ukraine. Please keep Ukraine in your prayers & thoughts and anything else that would be of assistance (especially with the winter weather upon those suffering in wartime).

Fox's sister is missing and a picture of her in front of a building. Tanya steps in to help getting permission from her boss to be back at her assignment Monday. They see a body in the water and Tanya dives in to discover a missing head. A number of murders and a mysterious town and it people. Who can Tanya trust? Another page turning thriller from Tikiri Herath.

Tanya Stone and her loyal K9 dog, Max, end up in another dilemma. The characters and the scenes are well-described. One is engrossed in the story right from the first page. You keep trying to guess what will happen next. I thoroughly love the novel and I didn’t want it to end. It’s a riveting book. I would recommend this exciting story to anyone who enjoys a good thriller.

Odd characters

Hard to relate to characters. They were difficult to like or care about. Ending was not expected but did not provide much satisfaction including the secret addition. Probably will not read any more of the series as don’t want to invest more time.
