The Children of the Gods #78

Dark Voyage Matters of the Mind

Rate this book
As conflicting expectations strain Dagor and Frankie’s budding relationship, they join a shore excursion to the ruins of Tehuacalo, where an ancient map of dubious origins claims a powerful amulet is buried. Despite Kian’s reservations about the danger of entering cartel territory, Kalugal is set on leading the group of immortals, gods, and one human on an adventure and promises they will be back in time for Amanda and Dalhu’s wedding.

When the leisurely archeological quest turns into a deadly conflict, the group stumbles upon a much more precious treasure than the amulet they have set out to uncover.

4.5 stars!!
While Amanda and Dahlu prepare for their wedding ceremony, Kalugal takes a group on a hunt for amulet in an old temple, leading to a new problem which forces Dagor and Frankie to face their fears about love. Meanwhile back on Anumati....Oh just read it-you've come this far and you're not going to stop now. This series is like a fine wine that just keeps on giving. As long as it's written, I'll keep reading! There are just too many stories about all of these immortals, and I want to hear them all!

Still Great Series!

Children of the Gods has held my attention throughout with fascinating and intriguing plots and romantic relationships. This one was not a failure as Dagor and Frankie's story continued. Not to mention the beautiful wedding of Amanda and Dalhu that was long awaited. Isabel Lucas has the ability to pull you into this fantasy world and keep you begging for more. I am really hoping to see a future book with KIahnn being retrieved somewhere from the original earthquake. Annani needs to find her true love mate once again to complete her circle of life!

Keep em coming 😉

And the plot thickens. While it was a bit sad to have those rescued women repeated throughout the book.... the lead up tho!

I always love when a lil action 🎬 is thrown in the mix. So the little treasure hunt with some old favs was appreciated.

No idea what the Fated have planned for Frankie and her mate but I can't wait to see what develops.

What does the queen have in store for Annani. How will the other 2 gods react to even more secrets between them and their leader?

Will Dagger piss or get off the pot?

... and let's not forget that lil bomb Gabby is still stewing on 😮‍💨. She already had trust issues these gods come with their own brand of drama and hang ups.

Awww!! The reoccurring characters! I missed Carol, Brunder, Shy, Edna (fighting?? 🤯) everyone else and their mates as the cast and clan grows.

Dark Voyage Matters of the Heart, Book 78 of the Children of the Gods series by Isabell Lucas @itlucas_author - You must read this series in order from book 1.

This book ends on a cliffhanger! So freaking good!

I received this #ARCBook early and for my honest review. First off, I am a huge fan of Isabell’s & this book was no different!

I have been waiting for this trilogy since Mia & Tovan, & I am SO excited about it!

Frankie & Dagor fall in love, but, he wonders, can she be his mate if she isn't immortal?

To be continued!

Dark Voyage Matters of that he Mind(The Children of the Gods Paranormal Romance Book 78)

Wow! How amazing to find out more about Annani's history and their home world! That her Grandparents are alive and the reigning rulers of her home world! The story becomes more intense and interesting to learn that her Grandfather is a little narssasistic, and Megalomaniac looking to see if any of his children or grandchildren survived on the outpost Earth. This creates a problem for Annani and all her children and the offspring of her stepsister. I can hardly read and learn how it all develops and how the intrigue develops into an ending and it all ends for the Gods, Goddesses, Immortals, and Kraell! And how the new Resistance intertwined with them all! Still fascinated with this series!

Thank you, I T. LUCAS for the early release. It is like an early Christmas present for all your fans. You are an amazing author! The joy you gave to me by being able to return for anothrt adventure with friends that many feel like family.
This is an exciting story about love, trust, doing the right thing at the right time. It also brings in new characters that are now tied to the storyline that to me is exciting and the secret is revealed to Clan Mother! READ THE BOOK💞

Waiting for….

I’m waiting for something new to happen. We are still getting recycled romance stories from earlier in the series and every romance mating lasts three books… although I can’t remember if this is book three this time since it took so long for me to read this as it was more of the same.

The gods’ arrival did add a bit of excitement and intrigue in the beginning but now it’s only vaguely exciting. It looks like this amulet is going to be the center of attention for a few books ahead.

Wow! There are so many interesting developments in this new book. The goddess on Anumati discovers that she has an heir from her son, and she wants to communicate with her. While the excursion was so exciting with the puzzles that needed to be solved to get to the amulet and the vision that it caused. And Amanda and Dalhu’s wedding with their vows that made me cry. Finally, Dagor discovers the depths of his feelings for Frankie. The next book can’t come out fast enough.

great read

As in all of this series it’s a great read. Ms Lucas continues to keep us guessing what new direction the Clan’s story will take. She’s also really got an amazing heart, reminding us to be mindful of what’s happening in our world and that we need to do whatever we can to help others and keep our hearts focused on love. To not lose hope but to reach for love and keep it strong in our hearts to combat the bad things we will face. Love Conquers All.

It just keeps getting better and better!

As always in my reviews for this series let me first say if you haven’t read this series start with book one (Dark stranger the dream) immediately and enjoy! I’m jealous of the adventure you’re about to go on.

This series is my all time favorite out of the massive about of kindle unlimited books I’ve read and it’s definitely in my top 5 over all series.

Thank you I.T.Lucas for the early release, it. Forced me to slow down and take a much needed break from Christmas preparation. As always, I wish you were immortal so you could write around the clock. I grow so impatient for the next release, devouring it so fast that my fix doesn’t last long enough. I like to let the volumes build for three months or so then I have a longer read. Can’t wait to meet the new members of the clan.

Frankie & Dragor, part2, BK78

After the excursion goes a little wrong in the end it might be the start of a whole new beginning for Frankie & Dragor as it makes him think about what he has right there in front for him.

Even at some really dark moments there's still the continued humour by the author.
The characters are still so full of life and love. 2weddings down 7 more to go what more can go wrong it that short amount of time 🤔🤔😁

Just WOW!

This installment for Frankie and Dagor starts right off with the action and excitement. This book is full of intrigue, love and danger. There is a lot going on in it and promises more some new avenues for future books. I thought it was a great read and can't wait for the next book.

She can never stop writing

I love this series so much. Every time she puts out a new book I snap it right up. Normally, I don't like to start a series until it's finished, but this series has enough sub storylines that you get closures as you go, even though the overarching story continues on. Love love love it!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Each and every book is as thrilling, riveting, and compelling as the one before. Every three book arc is amazing on its own, tied together as the stories do and we readers are treated to the most ABSOLUTELY AMAZING written serial in the history of the written word.

Loved the adventure in Acapulco. Frankie and Dagon are great. I can't believe this series is still going strong after 78 books. Isabell keeps adding interesting characters and new challenges for Kiann to manage as the clan grows. Adding different cultures also keeps things exciting. I also like that she will insert characters from previous books. Keep up the great writing Isabell.

Still Interesting

You would think after 78 books that the amount of characters and storylines would be overwhelming but it's not. I.T. Lucas has a great style of writing. I feel like I live these characters lives with them. This is the longest series I have ever read and I really hope it never ends!

Great read....

I can't wait to see if Frankie transitions. And I wonder if Margo is going to be a fatemate for the 3rd god? That would be interesting. I can't wait to see how the rest of the voyage goes. I'm interested to see how this back and forth with the Queen the princess is gonna go.

best series!

I’ve been enjoying the whole series for several years now and I’m never disappointed. You would think you’d get tired of reading such a long story line, but I don’t. I enjoy knowing all of he characters and the newly added ones. Frankie and her man have a great story line you will love.

Good series

This was a good adventure plot . Although Dagor and Frankie don’t have much of my attention I don’t dislike them . They are more like side characters they don’t have that main character energy 🤷
Very interested to know what the amulet has in stores for the immortals and looking forward to conversation between the Queen and Clan Mother as well

I have sped through the first 78 books and while I love the writing I wish there was an end in sight. I’m not sure yet if I will read book 79. It feels like one of those tv shows that doesn’t actually have a plot throughout the whole thing. They just add new characters and new enemies and more drama to keep it going.

But I did enjoy the book 🤷🏼‍♀️

Best Series Ever!

The tale of Frankie and Dragor continues and does not disappoint. A fine web of love, danger, mystery, intrigue and discovery is found between these pages. Disaster befalls the couple who is already on thin ice with the end of the cruise looming in their future. Definitely worth the read ...and you will never guess what happens next.

just finished book 78 and still Love this series!

It seems so improbable that a series this long can still captivate my attention and be so exciting and entertaining but it is. The character development, creative storylines blended with perfect amount of romance, makes this series and writer truly amazing. Thank you I.T. Lucas!

Obsession

I started this series this year, became a fan, can’t get enough. I know it’s a long series and a person needs to be an obsessed reader to get this far in the series.
It’s worth every sleep deprived moment. I love Lucas’s style.
I’m never disappointed.
