A Cozy Mystery by New York Times, USA TODAY, and Wall Street Journal bestseller Addison Moore —Humor with a side of homicide. RECIPE INCLUDED!
It's the festive season in Brambleberry Bay, and the town’s elite have decked their halls in anticipation of the grand Christmas party at secretive Willoughby Hall. However, amidst twinkling lights and carolers, the yuletide cheer gets frosted over by a chilling crime. For one well-heeled guest, their sip of mulled wine will be their last.
I’m Hattie Holiday, and while most are hanging stockings, I’m diving into the minds of Brambleberry's high society. Sure, hearing the occasional stray thought can be a gift or a curse, but it’s always fun to chat with my cute little cat, Cricket, and Rookie, our Golden Retriever buddy who happens to have a penchant for mystery. And, incidentally, he happens to belong to the ever-so-dashing detective, Killion Maddox—my shiny new boyfriend.
My invitation to Willoughby Hall is more than just a chance to don a festive frock—it's a chance to see the magic rumored to exist behind its walls. But it turns out this highbrow holiday bash has more under wraps than just a few presents. And with my quirky little talent, I might just land myself on the naughty list.

This was such a cute holiday book! I’m a sucker for a cozy mystery, but make it Christmas themed and I’m even more in. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters more and seeing their development from the previous book. It put me right in the Christmas spirit!
The best part of this book and what truly sets it apart are the descriptions of the Willoughby Hall and the "ghostly" holograms. When Fitz describes all the crazy rooms in the house, I was torn being feeling like I was actually there and wishing I could be. The descriptions of the mansions and all the spectral visitors captured the reader. Actually that line is not true, what captured this reader was the funny scene that opened the book with Christmas lights being strung. After giggling through that scene, how could you not keep reading.
This book also brought as whole slew of challenges to Hattie and Killion. Both sets of parents were not what they seemed with one keeping secrets and the other holding all the promise of someday being a miserable mother in law. Winnie, Hattie's sister, played a larger role in this story and I must admit I like her better than the other sister so she deserved the happiness she got. Although, true to form in this book, that happiness was fraught as well.
I absolutely hated Venetta but I guess that was the point. She was in the book to hate and the author made her worthy of those feelings. In much the same way Cricket and Rookie and the elderly flirts were there to adore and giggle along with. The mystery was pretty interesting. The murder of a wealthy woman in a room full of guests with motives abounding was fun for a murder. I was a bit surprised by the killer but in a good way. The character was not one we had built an emotional attachment to so good riddance.
Finally, the holiday sounds like a lot of fun in Brambleberry Bay. Thank you Addison for inviting us along on the holiday adventure in this book. I hope we get a chance to come back for more.

Christmas in Brambleberry Bay offers a special treat for Hattie Holiday when she is invited to the party held at Willoughby Hall. Are the rumors true that it may be haunted? Her boyfriend, Detective Killion Maddox, is admiring an unusual neckless worn by the wealthy Estonia Willoughby. She tells him it is priceless and is known as the “Christmas Star”, rumored to be a piece of the Star of Bethlehem that fell to Earth and was encased in a protective crystal. The necklace is also said to be enchanted.
But when the lights go out, discovering the shocking murder of Estonia Willoughby, whose body is lying on the ballroom floor, will have Hattie veer off into another investigation to find the murderer. And what’s worse is that the priceless Christmas Star is no longer around her neck! Will Hattie find enough clues to track down the murderer? Was it the killer who stole the necklace, or someone else?
One of Hattie’s skills is the ability to read minds so she can talk with Cricket, her cat, and with Rookie, the Golden Retriever whose human owner is Hattie’s boyfriend, Detective Killion. So the reader gets some “inside information” with all the thinking that goes on! You won’t want to miss the excitement as Hattie and the gang start searching for a murderer and share their thoughts with the reader!
Hattie has her hands full with her boss, Peyton’s, ludicrous demands at the country club. Attending a party at famed Willoughby Hall is a welcome distraction, until the host drops dead. Hattie says she’s too busy to investigate, but soon she’s chasing clues and interviewing suspects, especially since sister Winnie has fallen for one.
Hattie & Killion have also taken their relationship to the next level, but trouble is brewing in the form of a vixen with intentions on coming between them. Killion’s mother supports this upstart and has disdainful thoughts about Hattie. Can our intrepid heroine eventually win her over?
Full of laugh out loud shenanigans and feel like you’re there descriptions, book 4 in the Brambleberry Bay series delights. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to visit the magical Willoughby Hall. Cricket & Rookie may actually be bonding over their shared love of Santa’s gift, Jolly Bear. Hattie’s & Killion’s unbeknownst bidding war for the same gift, Winnie’s sweet romance, Neelie’s new career, & the ambush vow renewal were all treats as well. Now if Peyton could just lighten up.

The Holidays Can Be Murder is the forth book in the Brambleberry Bay Murder Club series. Even though this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone without feeling lost. But when read in order the stories build on the storyline and character development. This series focuses on Hattie Holiday. Hattie just recently started working at the country club and has made a habit of finding bodies since she started. But that isn’t her only quark, she can read minds. Not all minds and not all the time. But this quark has come in handy to help her find a killer or two, although the very good looking detective isn’t too happy about her involvement. It is almost Christmas time and Hattie is looking forward to all the festivities, until her list keeps getting larger and larger. When she finally feels her list can get no larger she find out the details to the list have tripled. But with all of the love for the holiday and the newest body that fell at her feet she feels like the days are flying by. Hoping she can solve the mystery and complete all the items added to her list with time to spare.
It's the Christmas Season in Brambleberry Bay! Hattie Holiday is excited to be going to Willoughby Hall for a very elite holiday party. The Hall is amazing and set up with holograms that look like the real thing: Carolers, Waiters, Ornaments, etc. Hattie is telesensual and has the ability to hear people's thoughts, As good as that sounds, it isn't a tell all, end all. If she's in a group, it's hard to tell who is thinking the thought and even if it's a male or a female. Unfortunately, there's an unexpected death. Her boyfriend, Killion, is a homicide detective and wants Hattie to stay far away from this mystery. Hattie, along with a couple of friends, are determined to solve the murder. This book can be read as a standalone but I think you'd really enjoy the entire series of four books. There's also a great recipe at the end of the book!.

It's Christmas in Brambleberry Bay and Hattie is excited to go to a party at Willoughby Hall. It's rumored to be haunted and the party setup makes it seem so with the holograms and tricks. When Estonia Willoughby, the owner of the home is murdered, it's up to Hattie and crew to find the killer and keep another woman from Killion. I absolutely love this series! The characters are wonderful. It's always so funny when Hattie reacts to something she hears. There wasn't too much of the whole book club in this book but we do get a lot of the always hilarious Clarabelle and Peggy. And thankfully, there is a ton of Rookie and Cricket. This series is a fun to read, not to easy to solve cozy mystery. It has characters that you will love and a storyline that flows. It's perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Or anytime you want to read a lovely cozy mystery. I can't wait for the next book.

Hattie has a unique ability—she can hear other people’s thoughts! That can be a good thing or it could be bad! She can also hear the thoughts of her cat and her boyfriend’s dog! Hattie is the events planner for the Brambleberry Bay country club and Killion, her boyfriend, is a homicide detective. It’s Christmastime and there is so much going on. One of the most anticipated is a grand party at Willoughby Hall for the upper crust of the community. Everybody who is anybody is there to see and be seen. Halfway through the party, the hostess, Estonia Willoughby, drops dead! Killion is on site and the investigation begins. Of course, Hattie is right in the middle of things too! Will they find the killer before Christmas? I love this hilarious group of quirky characters and the antics of the cat and dog! There’s definitely never a dull moment! Absolutely wonderful read for the Christmas season!
Good thing Killion is smitten with Hattie, and loyal. his mom might not be such a far when the two finally meet
Neelie might be a wiz at gift sourcing, yet her man troubles, especially with a certain Troublefield, do not seem to have found an end
family treasures, legacies, losses and prejudices make things lively and more than a little funny
yes, the descriptions of the magical holidays holograms are truly amazing- but the connections and disconnects between the people, and of course those charming pets, are what makes this an Addison Moore book - charming, crazy, tragic, and ironically hilarious!
humor and heartbreak mingle for a bittersweet bunch of holiday celebrations- and a sudden wedding
surprises and some fraught and some funny interactions- along with a cute bear, and adorable pet companions - a great read waiting for you to start it !

Read this next book from the Brambleberry Bay Murder Club, trust me, you'll be glad you did!
This is the first book I have read by this author. I did enjoy it. I thought the book was a cute light hearted cozy mystery.
I did like Killion and Hattie as a couple. Killion was not quite as clueless about Venetta as I thought. I was also surprised at how much I enjoyed Hattie's mind reading ability. I did wonder if anyone in her family was aware of her ability.
There were a fair amount of quirky characters in this book, including Rookie and Cricket. The murder was almost secondary to all the other things going on in this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via Booksprout.
A hint of Halloween meets Christmas as Hattie finds herself at a holiday party at allegedly haunted Willoughby Hall where holograms are on the menu.
When the host/mystery writer ends up dead, and everyone seems to have a secret to hide including her own mother, she finds she's got her hands full in trying to solve the mystery, fighting off a rival for her boyfriend's affection, and being torn over her best friend and sister's interest in the same guy, one of the suspects.
This holiday cozy will have you guessing all the way.

Brilliant cosy read ! It’s Christmas in Brambleberry Bay, the country club set have been invited to a secretive Willoughby Hall where the festivities take a sinister twist . Hattie Holiday and her ability to read thoughts is back along with her cat and the boyfriend’s dog. Her being the events planner and boyfriend Killion an homicide detective , you could say there’s handy skill set between them . Will they discover the culprit before it’s too late . With the shadow of the hostess death hanging over them they must find the killer and save Christmas.

This Christmas installment of Brambleberry Bay was just as good as the first three in the series. Hattie has been tasked with an unreasonable laundry list of demands from her boss for the Christmas Eve soirée, she’s been placed in charge of planning her parents surprise vow renewal ceremony, there’s a new homicide case to crack, Killion’s mom is proving to be a problem and there’s a new person after her man. I liked how in this book the storyline still was effective while also making the Christmas theme feel present. So disappointed that I have to wait until next November to read the next book in the series
As if Hattie Holiday’s Christmas To-Do list isn’t long enough! Now her boss wants their Christmas Ball to outdo the one at Willoughby Hall. She is demanding real snow and live reindeer! Hattie may be able to make it a memorable event but there is one thing she doesn’t want to duplicate – the dead person lying on the dance floor!
Hattie and Detective Killion Maddox are perfect for each other. It always adds humor when Hattie has conversations with Cricket and Rookie. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
Hattie and friends are back at it. The holidays are here and Hattie has to make some miracles happen for the big ball. On top of that, during the opening of Willoughby Hall, another death happens and it looks like a homicide! Hattie and Killion work together to figure out what happened... and Hattie uses her special transmudane ability to listen into thoughts. Loved that Hattie and Killion said their "i love you's" ... so sweet! Loved this book!

Love the characters, they have some great, sweetly romantic and clean, mature relationship aspects. They way the story line flows in a very engaging way, with a steady pace and is so very detailed that it feels like observing the scenery as you read along. Love the coziness, suspense and the interesting paranormal elements. Great Holiday romance story!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nice clean book with lots of great characters. Hattie stumbles into another homicide case. I laughed so hard a times! And wanted to wrap my hands around certain thick headed females. Killian is determined to keep Hattie safe. She receives some unexpected help getting to the bottom of this mystery. Love to read this book over and over.

That was so much fun. And it left me with the biggest, goofiest grin on my face in the end. I followed along avidly as Hattie unearthed clue after clue. I even found myself frequently distracted by the author’s bright shiny red herrings and was a bit blindsided when the villain was revealed. I enjoyed this seasonal interlude with the Holiday family, and I can’t wait until we get to come back and do it again. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved this cozy mystery! I was pulled in by the holiday party and humor and then instantly all in once it became a murder mystery. I love the colorful characters and bit of romance. This book was the perfect dose of entertainment for the holidays. You will love this one. This was an amazing book and the series is definitely worth the read!.

Hattie and Killion are among the country club elite who are invited to a swanky holiday party at Willoughby Hall when one of the guests is murdered and her beautiful one of a kind necklace is not on her body. Hattie finds herself investigating once again. A good holiday mystery. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hattie's at it again. This time, she's attending a Christmas event at the mysterious Willoughby Hall. Mystery abounds but the pet-talking Hattie and her detective boyfriend sift out the truth in the end. This is an interesting cozy mystery.
I'm a member of the ARC team and have left an honest review voluntarily.
Hattie is in the thick of yet another murder mystery but she also has her hands full with a scheming woman who wants to take Killion from her. Oh, and Hattie has Christmas events to organise as well.. Fun, enjoyable and the animals are so cute.
