I read this story last year (2023) but have no idea why I didn’t review because I really liked it. It’s got your regular pacing for a novella with the insta factor notched up to fire *fans self* lol
I enjoyed Matteo & Sarah quite a bit and I was honestly sad to see the story end. I’m going to be on the lookout for future Darcy stories for sure!

I was all in on this one from the jump. I really liked Sarah and Matteo. The pacing here is super-fast and honestly, I would have loved to spend more time with and get much deeper with this couple.

But Matteo was very impressed with Natalie's answers during the interview out of all the the other candidates. She got she was still a child at five years old and Natalie was the one who Ophilia instantly connected to so he gave her the job. Even though he knew that something was up with her and that they were holes in her story. She prays that one day he doesn't find out that she lied on her application.
Natalie was the first person who Matteo had been attracted to since the death of his wife. She awaken things he thought was death and buried. From the first he saw her he was instantly drawn to her and that first he kissed her and she didn't resist and from that moment he couldn't get any sleep. She was under his skin and he knew he had to have her and when he taste her, he knew that wasn't going to be enough for him he had to have all of her. So when she went to talk to him about her feelings she overheard the planning of murder with his business partner, and when he threatened her Matteo became unrage giving the man a beating. He realized that he was in love with her and didn't want her to leave, plus Ophilia was attached to her. But she was only worried about his feelings for her because of what his nosy housekeeper told her. Fast forward two years later they're married with a fifteen month old son Christopher, Ophilia is now seven years old and another baby on the way. A sweet swoon-worthy story.

A well written, steamy romantic happily ever after with wonderful characters that are easy to read as well as a great page turner.
A homeless young woman gets a job for a single mafia boss and it’s no time before they fall in love. The young woman lies about her background to get the nanny position that she’s trying to get hired for. Even though the mafia boss knew that she was not telling the truth he still hires her to be the nanny especially after his daughter takes a liking to the young woman. That same night that she’s hired the mafia boss kisses her. They both start having feelings for each other.
Everything is going well but the mafia boss wants to know more about the young woman since his people can’t find anything on her so he goes looking in her room through her things but she doesn’t have much. Her scent is intoxicating to him. Soon she comes in and by the end he gives her oral sex. Not long after they all go for ice cream together and have dinner together as well.
While going to her room after putting the daughter down to sleep the housekeeper stops the young woman to warn her about the mafia boss. Soon after the discussion the young woman goes to the mafia boss’s office to have a talk with him but she overhears a conversation he was having with a guy that he does business with. The mafia boss has his second in command take the young woman to his room and lock her in. The mafia boss finishes his conversation with the guy after hitting the guy for calling the young woman a horrible name.
The mafia boss goes to his room where the young woman is scared. The two talk, she tells him about her life and they have sex. The young woman pulls away from him not long after and they talk about why she pulled away. The mafia boss goes to his safe and winds up asking her to marry him, giving her a diamond ring that used to be his mothers, and she agrees to marry him.
Two years later they are married, they wind up having a son together. She loves tending to their family. She’s putting away some of their son’s clothes when the mafia boss comes giving her a hug and a kiss on the forehead. They both get the kids down for a nap and once both kids are down the young woman takes the mafia boss to the bedroom next to their son’s room. The couple talk about decorating the room and when she tells him about making it into another nursery for their new baby coming soon the mafia boss is so happy. They tell one another how much they love one another before closing the door and having sex on the floor of the room.

Sarah’s start in life has been anything but easy losing her mother and being separated from her siblings she has just existed, moved around within the care system. The day she turned eighteen she lost even more, no longer a ward of the state she is truly alone. She’s spent the past year homeless and hopeless but things are looking up when she is granted a job interview for a nanny position, but that position is with none other than Matteo Bianchi a name that strikes fear in to anyone’s life is in need of a nanny for his young daughter Ophelia. Getting the position shocks her but this is her new start, she loves her charge as soon as she meets her but catching feelings for her boss was never meant to happen, a man with his power could have anyone he’d never want her, but after a steamy encounter she knows he is the only man she’ll ever want, could this be her future a family filled with love or will he use her and walk away once he’s had his fun?
Matteo knew he was in trouble when Sarah walked in for her interview, his feelings catch him off guard in a way he never knew was possible not even with his late wife. He knows that Sarah had secrets and she’s lying to him, and for a man in his position he should be wary of any strangers, but after watching the way his daughter responds to her he knows she’s the one for the job. This is an insta everything short read and super steamy. It’s an enjoyable read with so much packed into it considering the length of it you’d expect it to feel rushed with no real character development but nothing is further from the truth. Recommended 4.3* read.

This novella was definitely a quick love story with spice. Matteo and Sarah fell quick and hard for each other. I was like 😱😱😱😱😱 because of the quickness of everything. But at the end of the day it is a novella and it got straight to the point.
I gave this book a rating of ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 because I really wish there was atleast one more chapter before they got engaged where she got kidnapped by that guy he wanted to go into business with and then he saves her, profess his love to her and then it goes from there. But that didnt happen and even though it didnt, I think that Sarah deserves all the happiness because of all she went through. I also wish we would've seen Matteo helping her find her family again. It was a novella but it could've been worked into it.
I would've rated this less but the main reason it's at four is because those two deserve happiness and I just loved; even though I was like WTF?!?! constantly, I loved how they didnt hesitate. They went all the way in and took a leap of faith and it worked out. Plus the ending was beautiful. Two kids including his daughter and another on the way? Damn amazing. The spice wasnt all that but when it happened, it delivered. I rate that at 🌶🌶🌶/5.

This is a short and steamy instalove with an alpha don who's also a single dad to a little girl. He's hiring a nanny, and he knows Sarah is lying in her interview, but his daughter takes to her in a way she's never taken to anyone else before, so he has to give her a chance. It doesn't take long before Matteo is captivated with her as his daughter is and he wants a lot more. He hasn't wanted anyone else since his wife died and he knows she's got secrets, but he can't stop himself. This is a sweet and steamy short mafia, age gap, single dad, nanny and it was so much fun to read.

A quick and spicy nanny/boss romance. Matteo and Sarah are great. They meet when she applies for a live in nanny job. She lies about her background and experience which makes him nervous in his line of work, but his daughter loves her. He finds himself quickly falling for her too. I enjoyed their romance. I took off one star because their first steamy scene together although fully consensual did feel a little bit like a boss demanding obedience from his employee. There could have been a little more romance to it for me, but I suppose it matches Matteo’s personality. I liked how vulnerable he was with his daughter and becomes with Sarah. That evolved his character for me as a reader. Overall an enjoyable and fast read with a good story and several spicy scenes.

Matteo is a very powerful and dangerous man. He has a five year old daughter and needs a nanny but is wary of possible traitors. Sarah is a 19 year old homeless teen looking for a job that can give her a place to live and food to eat. She proves her loyalty and they fall in love in like a second.
I love the dark themed romance so I was excited for this one but there’s really not much here. Not really even explanation for how they fell in love so quickly after having spent almost no time together. And all of a sudden they have three kids. It was just odd, even for a novella. Not my favorite and I don’t know what the title was indicating, there’s no real danger and no saving here. Kinda disappointing.

Sarah is desperate for a job. Any job that will keep her from living on the streets. Which is why she is nervously waiting for her interview to be a nanny. The only drawback is that the child's father is a mob boss and unlike she stated on her application she has no experience with children.

Desperate times see Sarah (h) taking a nanny position for Ophilia, the young daughter of mafia boss Matteo (H). He sees through her deception about her past almost immediately but keeps this knowledge and his attraction to her to himself. But as Matteo sees the bond forging Between Sarah and Ophilia, he realizes that he wants her to be much more than just the nanny and wants her for himself. I love that this author sticks to what she knows she writes best! Some authors will try and ride it out and write new to them tropes and genres, and it doesn’t always work out. With Darcy Rose, I know if I pick it up, I’ll enjoy it. This one was no different. These novellas are always a great quick way for me to get a read in on a busy day.
Instalove between the nanny and the mafia boss. The daughter takes right to her, which of course works great for Mr Mafia man. There’s an age gap, it’s not huge. She’s 19 and he’s 30(ish??).

Sarah needs a job stat due to unfortunate circumstances and fibs to land a nanny position with a mafia boss, Matteo. Matteo, a widower with a five-year-old daughter, is tough and rough with everyone on the outside and inside—and at first to Sarah. But it’s 59 pages, so things are a tad expedited. I like that.
She’s 19 and a virginia. He hasn’t been with anyone for a long time. The sch/ m3x scenes were smokin’. It was a great short read.

This a short, sweet story with steam. Sarah needs a job and working as Matteo’s nanny to his little girl is a small price to pay to be off the streets. He is the most feared man and she hopes that he doesn’t find out about her lies. The attraction and connection they have with each other is instantaneous. There is lust/love, steam, a little angst, secrets, revelations and the cutest little girl. This was a really good read and I loved Sarah, Matteo and Ophilia.

Sarah is in a rough spot and needs a job. She lies to get the job as a nanny for Matteo's 5-year-old daughter. She fell in love with Sarah and they hitted off really well. He sees that his daughter is smiling and laughing again, and he starts feeling for the nanny too. They fall in love but evil lurks in the shadows and he will do anything to keep his family together. A great story!.

Sarah has been homeless for the last year and getting a job as the nanny for a mafia boss seems like her last chance. Matteo isn't a fool and knows she is lying to him about her history but he accepts her because of his daughter's response to her. There is a lot of attraction between them so their relationship shifts from boss and employee to something more real quick.
If you are looking for a quick read that is entertaining then this is a good one.

Sarah needs a job and a place to stay what could be a better job than to be a nanny to a four year old. Matteo needs a nanny for his little girl after he lost his wife years before. As soon as he sees Sarah his whole life changes. He fell head over heels for the sweet woman. Instalove, age gap, mafia romance(tiny mentioning, no drama or action), romantic ,sweet, a bit steam and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍😍

A man feared by many but to Sarah she sees his softer side as a father, but that doesnt mean hell be soft with her, especially in his bed! Well written steamy fast paced age gap, insta love mafia romance.

Honestly, this was an ok book. If you are looking for a OTT romance with attraction and steam but no real connections or chemistry then this book is for you. Matteo and Sarah's book was short and spicy but I didn't feel a connection with either character but it made of a good escape.

A quick and steamy read. Homeless and down on her luck Sarah (FMC) has no choice in the book but to apply for a job with a known dangerous man - Matteo as a nanny to his daughter - Ophilia. Things become distinctly hotter between both of them the longer they work together. With some very steamy scenario's. This was a good read.
