Dark secrets. Missing girls. Buried Bones.

Forsyth’s Purple Palace is more than the home of the King and Princes of East End. It’s a place known for elegant parties, deep tradition, loyalty, and family.

But most of all, creation.

Rub away the gold and it’s nothing but a tarnished house of horrors built on the souls of its victims-and I refuse to allow my son to be next.

My Princes, Whitaker, Pace, and Lex, are good at many things, but knowing how to be a parent isn’t one of them. What they do know is how to create, how to protect, and how to draw secrets out of terrible men.

Right now, the man locked in the dungeon beneath the Palace’s floors is the most dangerous it's ever seen: Our father, Rufus Ashby.

He succeeded in having me bred and impregnated.

He successfully broke his sons down, one manipulation after the other.

But what he can’t have is our baby, the future heir of East End. Our legacy.

Princes of Legacy is a contemporary, dark, reverse harem, traumatic romance.

Re-read 17/07/24: 5⭐️
I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. Truly. Reading about the Princes makes me feel like I'm coming back home - as it odd as it sounds. But these guys and Verity are like home to me. All the domestic and soft moments in Legacy got me all in my feels. Not to mention the fact that this is the first book in the entire series where all of them confess their love for each other! LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE🥹 They could never make me hate you, my loves. NEVER. You'll always be my OTL😭 I just know that I'm gonna go back and re-read this trilogy lol - at least until we get the first Barons book🤭 Also, I totally went crazy with the highlights in this one hahah. To my Queen, Verity mf Sinclaire - MAY SHE REIGN👑 TO CREATE IS TO REIGN BITCHES. Amen.

***

Christ. Where do I even start? Phenomenal isn't enough of a word to describe how much I loved this book. In fact, I don't think there's a single word in the dictionary that could ever encompass my love for this trilogy🥺 I mean, me pulling an all nighter and staying up till almost 4am should speak volumes about how far gone I am for Samgel's writing. It's viper scratch...PURE SCRATCH. My heart's about to burst with joy after reading about these three beautifully broken men open themselves up to love and embrace fatherhood. I obv loved seeing my badass girl Ver and ofc, cameos from our absolute faves! The spice in this was WHEW *starts fanning herself* As a certified lactation kink hoe, this book was EVERYTHING. A part of me is sad to acknowledge that the Princes trilogy is over because if you know me, then you know that I've been yapping about this for the past year or so and that it's provided me comfort in some of my hardest times. I laughed, cried, swooned and melted into a puddle of mush while reading this baby you guys😭 There are tons of twists and turns that had me questioning everything and some theories that I had that turned out to be right😏 With that being said, I'm SUPER stoked for the Barons trilogy to come out next year because I have SO. MANY. QUESTIONS. 10/10 would recommend this entire series and trilogy and will yap about it even on my deathbed🫡

*Thank you to Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue for providing me with an ARC!

This is the last book in the Princes trilogy, which is part of the larger Royals of Forsyth series (which is made up of connected dark RH trilogies about different main characters).

Princes has been the worst trilogy in this world– I went into depth about why, in my reviews of Princes of Chaos and Princes of Ash, so I won’t repeat myself. (I’ll just say, another example of why: the Princes are hockey players. And I kept laughing every time that got mentioned in this book, because it’s so irrelevant to the plot, and doesn’t fit this world. It felt like the story itself kept forgetting, and then randomly remembered and awkwardly brought it up. That’s SO different from how, in the Lords trilogy, turning down a pro football career to become a King was crucial to Killian’s character. And in the Dukes trilogy, the fighting was so interwoven into the plot, the characters’ relationships with each other, and how they navigated their world. Sports are woven into the story so thoughtfully in Lords and Dukes! Whereas, in Princes, it’s so sloppy and pointless. That may seem like a random detail to single out, but it’s a symptom of the bigger issue. It’s one of many examples of how the decline in quality shows on every level of the Princes trilogy).

This final book doesn’t fix that, but this was a bit more readable than the first 2 books. I was less bored (but still bored, except for scenes with the Lords and Dukes). I found myself laughing, because a lot of this book was plot stuff that I had seen suggested as “fan theories” of what might happen, where I had been like, “That fan theory is stupid and bad, surely it won’t be true!” And then…it ended up being true. Like for example,

This book also had Verity act weirdly “motherly” towards the Princes frat guys, which didn’t work at all. That came out of nowhere. These guys sexually assaulted her (in the Cleansing at the end of the first Princes book). In the past, this series has been good at doing that slow progression from “heroes assaulted the heroine” to, “somehow, they have a believable loving relationship.” But, that doesn’t work with these random frat guy side characters who AREN’T the heroes and have gotten 0 development. The whole thing came off as gross and dismissive of SA, in a way that this series isn’t, usually.

This series is usually good at working through the heroes non conning their heroine, grappling with those messy emotions, and evolving the relationships into something that feels loving and genuine. This book focused on the mundane daily details of Verity’s pregnancy, at the expense of that kind of emotional complexity that I’ve grown to expect from this series. The emotions between Verity and her guys felt more muted than Lords and Dukes. A pale imitation. More meh.

Aside from “Verity being pregnant,” this trilogy’s only plot has been “Girls in Forsyth are going missing.” Somehow, Princes had less plot than Lords and Dukes, but it wasn’t more character-driven in exchange, it ALSO had less developed characters. What does that leave it with? Literally just Vibes. Now, after more than 800 pages of just Vibes across this trilogy, this plot isn’t even resolved!! Are you kidding?! Yes, this is an ongoing series, so some loose ends are expected, and that's fine. But the Dukes trilogy resolved its primary plot (the mystery of what happened to Lavinia’s sister, and the guys’ friend Tate). The only loose ends were minor things. The Princes trilogy only ever had a vague semblance of a plot, and it couldn’t even be bothered to resolve it!

The first 2 Princes books also seemingly set up Stella, the side character, to be the Baroness. And it turns out

It's very annoying that this book gave the Princes a soft epilogue that's about them, not just about the set-up for the Barons trilogy - because the Dukes are now the only house who got shafted in this area. They never got a real epilogue, their epilogue was about setting up the Princes trilogy. They deserved a soft epilogue so much more than these boring Princes characters.

This sounds like lower than a 3 star rating. There were things I liked about this book. The birth scene was actually good, I don’t like birth scenes and I was dreading it. But the way it happened Wicker’s brother reveal was stupid, but I did like how Pace’s dad reveal went. The nursery scene was great, seeing a bunch of past heroes shooting the shit together. It’s always fun to visit this world. Any time the Dukes or Lavinia appear even briefly in a scene, it makes me smile. (Nick has such a way with words, he asks Verity about her pregnancy by saying, “How much longer until that thing falls out of there?” This book was worth reading for that alone.) Although this book did Nick dirty by and there were a few good Nick and Lavinia moments.

I like that this world has such a history and a deep bench of characters, it feels lived in – like when Killian and Tristain mention knowing where the nursery is in the Prince’s house, and the Princes are like, “How did you know?” I like that this story doesn’t spell it out to us. It trusts us to remember them vandalizing it in Lords. Moments like that make this world come alive. And they’re what got me through this flop trilogy.

I’m still hopeful that this series hasn’t completely derailed – I hope Princes is a blip on the radar, and that the Barons and Counts trilogies are better. I don’t LIKE writing reviews ripping apart books in this series. I want to love this series again! The best thing about this book is that this trilogy is now over. The Barons trilogy comes out in a year. Normally, I’d be bummed about a long wait. But I think that’s good, if these authors can use that time to get their mojo back, and rediscover what made the first 2 trilogies in this series work.

Also, because I’m never going to re-read this trilogy, to remind myself, here is the set up for Barons and a summary of dangling plot threads:

There's also an ongoing plot with Ballsy that I guess will be addressed in later trilogies:

I've sat down to write this review no more than several dozen times since the release, and with every single effort, I have felt like I'll fail the authors, this book, these characters, this series, and the absolute masterful journey of development and emotion this Princes trilogy has taken us on and how perfectly Legacy wrapped it up for me.

It's been no small secret that I absolutely love Love LOVE!!! this series. I've been all in on this world and these Royal characters since the prologue of Lords of Pain and only fallen harder for each new frat that's been introduced, but there was something uniquely special about the bond that was shared between the Princes and their Princess, and watching their love grow through this trilogy and flourish in this final installment through the birth of their son absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way. I loved how much love and adoration and fucking respect that these guys showed Verity. The way the started to trust her and honor and cherish her like they should've all along was just chef's kiss. Samgel have such an exceptional capacity in their writing to have all their characters undergo such a monumental character development that feels like it belongs entirely to their individual character and it just continuously sucks me in, and the trend continued. I loved how much the guys and Verity grew not only in their trilogy but in this last book, especially. Watching their roles change within the frat but also into parenthood and in their relationship was refreshingly wholesome, sweet, and sexy as hell. More so, I loved how there even still managed to be a few twists and turns that many wouldn't have suspected, proving that even if this writing duo has a pattern, they can still manage to keep us on our toes and guessing the whole way through, and we always have to keep our eyes out for those Easter eggs.

I feel like I'm talking in circles and regurgitating the same thing I've said in previous reviews about this series, but they just keep proving the same thing over and over. They write phenomenal characters that have range and depth, and you can't help but want to know them, love them, want to be them, or want to fuck them (or if you're greedy like me, you probably can see yourself in either role), haha. They write intriguing plots that keep you engaged and surprised when you stumble back across old breadcrumbs to find out you've been traveling this path a lot longer than you realized. Lastly, the love and spice they fill their pages with make your pulse pound, pure and simple. I always want more, even when they give us more than enough. The ILYs in this book slaaaaaayed me in the best of ways. I'm such a sucker for those tender moments and boy did they deliver here when I think Verity deserved those words and apology more than any Queen before her.

Lastly, Legacy set us up with a nice little sneaky peek at what could await us in Barons, but it left us with just enough mystery that builds into the mystique lore that is the Shadows of Forsyth that I simply cannot wait to have them sink their teeth into me... errr, I can't wait to see what happens in that book. Barons of Decay can't get here soon enough. I have my eye on a few guys and a certain dark Queen. *shivers* They're gonna be a blast. I just know it.

FULL RTC!

Pre-reading wish-upon-a-star dream review: Our Trauma Cereberus Princes and their Fierce AF Princess have come so damn far, but there are miles to go before we're done. I anticipate some really low lows and some really high highs in this next installment because Samgel always guarantee one hell of a rollercoaster with each new book, but especially in the last book of their trilogy sets within the entire Royal FU series.

My body is ready! And hey! If they want to throw in a bit more MM for my reading pleasure I YAM HERE FOR IT, PRETTY PLEASE AND THANK YOU WITH RAINBOW SPRINKLES AND UNICORN SPARKLES!

In this highly-anticipated trilogy ending, Samgel said: let’s serve up some feminism, shall we?

It’s always such a treat when dark romance also manages to be giving fuck the patriarchy, and I have to say I was really pleased with the way our gals ended this series. Just when I think I’m onto all their tricks, they keep me guessing again. I don’t think I could ever get tired of the formula they establish in the Lords trilogy, but with the way they’re constantly expanding this world, we will never find out. In the best way.

Helllllooooo lactation kink. This has long been a beloved kink of mine and Samgel did NOT disappoint me. Just… delicious. No notes. They also really went in on the breeding kink in this one too. I did feel like I didn’t get as much spice as I wanted but it’s only because I’m a greedy bitch.

One of the best things in all this series’ third books is a look at our next royals and this book did not disappoint. Was I feral for the Barons before? Yes. But I’m whatever is beyond feral now. All the setup for the next book was absolutely unhinged and I’m primed for this next chapter to be the most stunning yet.

Fast burn with breeding kink, lactation kink, cockwarming, dp.

Well, this was a disappointment. The Princes and Verity have been my least favorite since the beginning, and that didn't change with this final installment. I never felt any real connection between any of them. The guys never gave Verity a real, groveling apology for the throning or cleansing, and their whole relationship went from hate to love for no real reason. The spice varied between boring and just gross. I'm sorry, I'll never be about two brothers, who grew up together, being intimate; I don't care if they're adopted🤷🏻‍♀️ I thought the mystery was lackluster and that the story overall was just dull.

I was OBSESSED with the Lords and really loved the Dukes so it makes me sad that this trilogy didn't work for me. I have high hopes for the Barons but I hope the authors take a lengthy break to really work on the story.

2.5...I love this series as a whole so no hate with this review....spoilers.

To start......I was bored. I wanted to skim so much of this book. At times I just asked myself why the scene existed? Yes stuff happened, we pushed the plot down the line so we can get to the barons but the passion and connection I felt with the dukes and the Lord's was missing. There were large areas of filler and for a book I've waited this long for I couldn't help but feel let down.
I get obsession, passion etc and loved it in the previous two book series but I often wondered if the princes and verity would be together if not for "to create is to reign" I didn't really feel the same connection. We see again more connection between the brothers than with verity and now we have the added aspect of Wicker and Pace being sexual partners? Was this mentioned in the previous books or was this authors pandering to the audience after the speculation that they were sexually involved after the lack luster connection with verity in the previous books. I honestly don't remember or care to look back to check.

I want to note my dislike of the book is not because of the pregnancy trope. I liked that they were on this path, it was just everything else with them. We never get the groveling barely even get sorry from them and magically everything is fine? We get a small freak out one time about the royal cleansing that lasts all of 5 seconds then she's back to being in love. I usually don't want pages of professions but they sucked and needed to do some penance. She didn't put them through enough. She never in my opinion really gained all this respect she gets by the end. The story made sense for story and lav but verity becomes queen of the entire group and not because she got married, but be ausr somehow they all voted for her after 9 books shoving the women will never get ahead narrative? Does this again come to their motto of creating? I can see the leap in logic but I dont believe it.

I should say also that the whole milking thing was really not my cup of tea, and it being such a large part of the sexual connection in this one they have may have played a role in my not liking the group as a whole. I dont mind the rest of the pregnancy trope but that really was weird to read, I was warned in the beginning but didn't think it'd be as weird as it was.
Maybe the princes just weren't for me....maybe the barons will turn the series back around.

First off, no words I can say will express how amazing this book is. Is that cheesy to say? Yes. But is it true? Absolutely.

The first time I read Chaos I went from being unsure about the guys and unable to connect with one of them to absolutely loving them as I kept reading the trilogy. Upon reading Legacy I am willing to go to battle for them. I can not fathom how I didn’t connect with them in the first book! 😅 I felt like I was on the same journey as our heroine Verity was as far as her feelings toward the guys and the situation that she was in. The character development in Legacy and this entire series as a whole is unmatched and the character arcs are truly the best out there (I am not kidding!) the arcs and development were a slow change that gradually built as the trilogy went on and culminated in the conclusion that is Legacy and man was the heartache and pain it took for them to get there worth it! (Side note: Effie is one of the greatest side characters ever created and you can never change my mind.)

The kinks in this book (while not usually my jam) were HOT 🔥 and this reenforces that I will read whatever these two write.

The grovels were truly PERFECT and so true to the characters. I know what I was needing to see, as a reader, for the Princes and our Princess to be on the same page and it truly could not have gone any better.

Samgel are phenomenal authors, there’s no doubt about that. They know how to build an intricate plot, they know how to create characters that have such depth and complexities that you feel as if you know them in real life. The words they write capture you immediately as you start to read them until the very last page. They are truly masters of their craft.

This book had me feeling every emotion imaginable and in the end left me feeling at peace and content. There were times I was nervous and times I was TERRIFIED. I laughed, I cried (and sobbed lol), I swooned and I melted. Legacy is absolutely everything I could have wanted and even better than I imagined it would be. While I’m sad it’s over (because I want each book to be 378,237 pages long) I am SO excited to see what is in store for us in what will be the next book, Barons of Decay.

ALL of the stars! ⭐️

👑 - Important Notes:
I was given an ARC from THE AUTHORS in exchange for an honest review. So, I will do just that. Additionally, this review does have spoilers!

🪴 - Short Review:
I literally can't wait for Barons of Decay! I will literally be running to read it once it drops in my kindle! I've been so ready for the Barons since the Lords trilogy and i can't believe we're officially so close!

Angel and Samantha are the literal best writers (in my opinion) and they never fail to deliver. I'm eagerly waiting for the Barons and then the Counts series! I can’t wait to watch all the spooky and halloween filled things that the Barons bring. I also can’t wait to watch how the counts rebuild themselves up from the destroyed bottom.

🩺 - Long Review:
This book was 100% worth the wait! Since Princes of Chaos i heavily became attached to the princes. Even with the horrible atrocities that happened throughout that book and Princes of Ash, i knew the princes were going to be my favorite. After finishing this series I can full heartedly say that I love the princes so so much. They came with their horrible baggage due to horrible King Ashby but Verity really helped them go through it all. Verity ended up being the glue that they needed to become a big family. Reading how Verity and Justice changed all three of them at the end was really amazing.

Now the plot twist of Verity being the Queen instead of any of the Princes being the King was the best plot twist ever. While reading the first two series, I fully saw how Killian and Sy were going to be the kings, however I didn’t feel that about this series. Therefore, reading Verity being elected to be the queen and by all three princes and the entire frat was the best thing ever. The way I literally screamed “girl power” then got all happy when Verity explained how in shock Story and Lavinia were was the best!

Angel and Sam closed this trilogy perfectly and I loved every second of it!

Cheating: No.
OM/OW Drama: No.
Virgin Hero/Heroine: No (Not anymore, lmfao)
Book Tropes: Reverse Harem, Dark College Romance, Stalking, Traumance, Med Kink, Breeding, Hockey MMC's, Forced Proximity,

Wicker, Pace, and Lex have my heart. I enjoyed the Princes conclusion, and no shockers or spoilers here, but these boys are absolute freaks in bed. I’ve read a lot of smut, and some of these scenes had me blushing HARD. The most broken of boys make the biggest sluts. And the biggest mushies.

Forsyth Uni is the pinnacle of bully, dark romance. Samgel keep upping the bar with every one of these series, and I already know I’m going to be a Baroness.

But… like… what about ballsy? 🥺

Immaculate. I knew I was gonna love it but I didn’t expect to love it that much.

My heart is so full and happy for Verity and the Princes but WOWWW was it a ride to get there omfg. What an incredible book 😩 these three men had me crying, groaning, blushing, screaming and everything in between. Watching them grow over the course of this trilogy into the men they are in this book? A testament to the power of love and trust and support. A testament to family. Because that’s what they’ve become. Lex, Wick, Pace, Verity and their baby are a family who rely on one another and care so deeply for each other. It’s pure and simple and god I’m gonna cry AGAIN thinking about how hot fatherhood looked on them !!!

Every single one of them melted my heart, but I have to say Wick surprised me the most by absolutely stealing my heart 🫶🏼 his growth was perfect, both realistic to the character and exactly what we needed to bring things full circle.

And Verity. To create is to reign. And she not only created a life—a living, breathing human being—but a family, a home. She entered the Purple Palace as a voiceless woman at the mercy of three hurt and angry men, and not only did she tear it down brick by brick, dismantling the “legacy” that she inherited from Rufus Ashby. But she rebuilt. She brought fire and light to their life and forced them to reevaluate their priorities. A true Queen.

Long may she reign 👑💞

But also what is going down in Forsyth right now?! there are still so many questions unanswered and characters I need more info about. The Barons, the Baroness, Ballsy, Stella, the Monarchs in general? Samgel always plants just enough seeds of doubt and possibility in my mind that I’m itching for more of this world and characters. And as things are changing, borders blurring, families blending and friendships emerging … I just know this story is only going to get better as we step into this new House of Night with the Baron’s. All of the info we learn about BRN leaves us with just enough insight to expect a new kind of darkness and depravity 🥵

Oh & you thought I would read a Forsyth book and not also obsess over my man Nicky? You obviously don’t know me! I’m literally so deeply in love with this man. Every crumb we get of him is a blessing 😩🫶🏼 him and Lav are still the cutest. But sorry Vinny, Nick Bruin is MINE. oh and DKS UNTIL I D*E BABY!!!

Everything about this is a Yes from me y’all.

Ahhhh I need 2025 immediately, but in the meantime a reread of the entire series so far will do 🫡 lol

Thank you to Angel Lawson and Sam Rue for providing an eARC to give my honest review.

WOW. First of all, this series is my unicorn. Since finding it last year not a single day has gone by that i haven’t thought or talked about it in some way shape or form. It’s hard to articulate the right words on how i feel about this book. It was most certainly all i hoped for and more. Be prepared to consume this in one sitting, and grab the tissues cause you’ll need them.

Where do i even begin with our Princess and her Princes? Their development throughout the trilogy came to fruition in Legacy before my eyes. The Princes bond was truly impenetrable despite being so broken, and to see them each accept Verity and baby as theirs was everything. The Ashby scars run deep and watching the Princes embrace their journey to fatherhood along with their relationship to Verity was amazing. As for Verity, to see her break through her own struggles and insecurities and grow from it was so relatable. She was a faithful Monarch to her very core. If nothing else this girl is West End and Mama Bs daughter, i knew i was going to love her story.

There was so much hurt and trauma to work through in the beginning of this trilogy. Both between the characters as individuals and also as a unit. You will laugh, scream, sweat and cry both happy and sad tears throughout this book but it is worth every single emotion. The way that Samgel was able to transform this into the bittersweet ending they gave us is pure magic. BRAVO LADIES!

I’ll leave with you one of my favorite quotes—

”This is my son.
I brush my lips against hers.
This is my Princess.
I gasp for air, tasting the tang of blood and the edge of the cold, rusty death.
This is my legacy.”

2.5 really, I swear each trilogy is like a clone of the last one, a pale shadow of its predecessor, but with more flaws and deformities. All of the interesting character development and relationship complexities from the first trilogy were just completely flanderized by this point. The authors pretty much said "Let's see how much over the top shit we can have them throw at each other" There was so much potential there to do something unique and different from the other books! The princess were supposed to be the lovers of Forsyth, the ones who doted on their princess. That could have been leaned into on this one with external drama rather than extreme aggressive hostility between the Princes and the Princess. This didn't feel like a romance, it felt like an actual physical assault. The guys were practically cookie cutters of the previous royal men and then we had Verity. 🤦🏼‍♀️Oh Lord, Verity! She was such a whiny, boring, bitchy heroine. From her constant guilt trips, her hypocritically vindictive antics and her inability to let go of the Duke's and be a princess! This wasn't a book about the Princes, this was about the Duke's hostile take-over of the princes. Prime example, they made her King! They made a chick head of a FRATERNITY! It literally means brotherhood! What in the random rah rah girl power crap is that? Like when did this go from being a bully, enemies to lovers college romance with excellent non-cōn and dub-cøn to a feminist manifesto on fighting the patriarchy? It tries to make it real in a way that doesn't fit in with this world. Can we also talk about how "whoa is me" Verity is all the time when unlike the other 2, she just signed up for the role because she thought it would be exciting. Story was trying to protect her life, Lavina was forced into it, and Verity...just wanted to be one of the cool girls. 🙄🙄🙄 Yet for all of that, she whined more than all 3 of them! As for this final book, what even was this? Forsyth Slice of Life? There was no tension. The big bad guy was already captured in the last book. There was no climax, there was just Verity trying to flex and the Princes getting emasculated. They even took her last name! What??? It really felt like a bunch of little boys playing house with their mommy. I'm done with this series. I loved the Lord's, I liked the Duke's and now I'm done with the Princes.

5🌟 and 4🌶️

I have been staring at my “write your review” section for like 10 mins trying to figure out how to start and let you know all know how AMAZING this book, this trilogy and this series is. BUT it is like my brain is broken and stuttering out jumbled sentences. Did Angel and Sam put Viper Scratch in this book?

I think obsessed is likely the best answer for how I feel after reading this. These beautiful broken boys, I loved their journey through this series and Verity…. She is a full on BADASS! Just when I think I have things figured out Angel and Sam say not so fast and another twist is thrown our way. I would be lying if I didn’t say I love it! While I am pretty sad the Prince’s section of the series is over, I mean I know we will see more of them in the Barons, I thought this ending was perfection. It also did leave me a bit like Charlie in It’s Always Sunny deep in his conspiracy theory moment LOL.

I also cannot finish this review without touching on the spice and the kinks. The pregnancy sexand lactation kink, I have to say I was NOT PREPARED for it to hit me like it did. I say this because I am EW BABIES in romance books about 99.99% but this time I was like “oooh….. oooooooooh.” So that coupled with our Breeding, cockwarming, DP, MM, MMF, and more and 🥵🫠

This was the perfect ending for the princes and the PERFECT set up for the Barons. 👀 I am SO FKN intrigued about that hot mess, omg.

Our princes were so incredible in this one. This book was strangely wholesome for a Royals of Forsyth book, but it was exactly what we needed to end this trilogy!!

Can I just say holy glow-up Verity?! What a boss ass b!tch!!! 👑 I freaking LOVE her. Her growth through this series was phenomenal. She is the only woman who could wrangle those men and all of damn Forsyth.

I love these books so much. I love this series. I love love LOVE these characters. The crossovers and cameos were so beautiful, I got emotional over Remy every time.

237 ‼️🦋🦋🦋

The K!NKS in this book. I ain’t never in my life… 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Samgel y’all are constantly giving me sexual awakenings, I just want you to know that. WOW. This was so kinky. DAMN.

I really didn’t think anything could beat the Dukes for me, but this was PERFECTION. The plot was excellent, the character growth was some of the best I’ve ever read, and I’ll just never get over Verity.

Thank you Samgel for this masterpiece!!! ❤️

This is a mixed review for me because as always Samgel delivered an amazing story and an amazing book. For me, personally, this is my least favorite book of all the current main novels published in the Forsyth series.
And it’s not anything BAD about the book, Princes of Legacy just had a lot of tropes that aren’t my personal favorite. And, a lot of this book felt more like a transition and set up book for the rest of the Forsyth books (Barons and Counts).
I almost started listing the tropes but I don’t want to have to censor everything. 😅

It’s going to be a dnf for me at 30%. The sex is gross and I’m not a fan of the FMC. Will read the Barons books though. I’ll probs skim the ending of this one in order to understand what’s going on in Forsyth. Tbh I actually hope the writers don’t include the Princes or their Princess in any future books. I’m also fine with them trying not to tie all of these books together as it’s become a mess with many plot holes.

Spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned. What an awful conclusion for the princes…

What I loved:
- Nick’s near death destroyed me, I sobbed but seeing him alive with Sy, Lav, and Remy by his side 🥺 the Duke’s remain my favorites
- Seeing Sy step into his role as King, I was skeptical about him before but I get it now
- Seeing the fraternity working together. A new Forsyth is on the horizon
- Ashby and Danner getting what they deserve
- Pace and Wick, those two held my heart in this book, and they didn’t shatter it once
- Seeing the women of Forsyth build their monarchy. You go ladies!
- Baron King, of all the old Kings I love to hate him most. I’m gonna devour the Baron books

What I hated:
- Verity, she fell flat for me. Her growth felt stunted. She doesn’t have what it takes to lead. Making her queen (🙄 so predictable) was an awful choice. I liked the idea behind them doing it as a team. I loved Story and Lav, Ver just lacked…something.
- Lex, I never really connected with him outside of my empathy towards him and the abuse he suffered. But he came off so robotic, and then all of a sudden it’s “baby” this and “baby” that. Cringe. There was no arc for him.
- Pace’s whole parent reveal. Why did we get Pace meeting his mom through verity’s pov?!? Pace was neglected, he deserved so much more.
- Justice. I audibly said “get the fuck outta here” when Verity said his name. Just, no.
- Verity becoming pregnant so soon after and it “definitely” being Lex’s. These two are selfish with each other in a way that seems exclusionary of Wick and Pace. And what I loved about the princes was their devotion to one another, that above all else should have remained

This trilogy as a whole I give 2.5 stars but this book was an utter disappointment.

It’s cringe to see authors resorting to paying for review bots. This series flopped, take the L with some dignity. Save your money to rebuild for the next book with a better beta team. Paying for an echo chamber won’t improve your writing.

***

Review for toxic fandom.

They were late on this book, and the last book, and the book before that, and we probably won’t see the next book for YEARS.

Sometimes “Indie Author” is just code for unprofessionalism.

Absolute, chefs kiss, perfection. 👩‍🍳💋🤌

Samgel have done it again! How am I supposed to choose a favorite series in the Forsyth world when they keep upping their "tangled webs we weave" game?! 😍 If you are a Dark Romance reader and you haven't started the Forsyth books yet, I highly recommend them! (Be sure to read ⚠️ trigger warnings first.)

📚Princes of Legacy was the perfect wrap-up for the 👑 Princes trilogy. I can usually anticipate what is going to happen in a story, but one of the things I love about Samgel's 🖋 writing is that there are always twists and surprises.

💬Favorite Non-Spoilery Quotes: (Which were very difficult to narrow down - I have over 500 highlights from this book, over 50 of which were my "potential review quote" highlights!)
🥰"...you make me feel safe in a way no one has before."
🤤“You’ve got a little something…” Pace says, thumbing at the corner of my mouth. “Oh, that’s just drool.”
👑I might wear the tiara. But I’m still the same fiery redhead from West End.

Thank you so much to Angel, Sam and Anna at Indie HQ for allowing me to read an ARC of Princes of Legacy! 🤗

The Wait for the Princes is Over

Angel and Sam have outdone themselves. Princes of Legacy picks up right where Princes of Ashes left off.

Verity is recovering. Rufus and Danner are being held. Stella is still missing.

Princes of Legacy will leave you reeling! There are things you won’t see coming. There are twists and turns. There are answered questions. There are new questions. There are crossovers (and I see what you did there in Chapter 7, SamGel)!

You will see Verity and her Princes strengthen what they have and it will end with a HFN/HEA.

Now that the Princes’ story is complete, you need to read this book. Haven’t started the Princes? Well, there is no better time to start.

Wow!🤩 where do I start!?!? What an amazing ending to the princes trilogy! Loved seeing how far Verity and her guys have come from. Was not expecting the twist and turns! So many questions answered and of course unanswered but overall I was left satisfied and excited for the barons!🖤

Thank you Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue for providing me with ARC copy!

i feel like the princes are more plot heavy, while the lords/dukes were more love/relationship focused and depending on what you prefer, this one was for better or worse. I enjoyed large chunks of it and I adored seeing the lords and dukes make an appearance but it just makes me miss them more than it does make me love the princes more.

4 out of 5 stars.

First and foremost, I think Princes of Legacy has my favorite cover in the whole series - the full wrap is absolutely stunning and though I am not good at visualizing characters as I read like lots of people are, there was no question in my mind when I saw Lex on the cover of this one.

I've made no secret this is one of my favorite reverse harem (RH) worlds ever. If you haven't started already, go back to Lords of Pain and start there - though every three books comprises a complete HEA story for one heroine and her three heroes, the world of the series expands and is built on the trilogies before it, so they should still be read in order.

Similar to how I am about picking a favorite hero in an RH series (whomever I am reading in the moment is generally my favorite) that is how I tend to be about the trilogies in this series. As this is the third and final Princes book, I am fully entrenched in my Princes era and I was enthralled by this last chapter for Verity Sinclaire and her three pained princes. Usually the end of a romance is my least favorite part, because I miss the push and pull of the fighting stages and get bored by the lovey-dovey endings, however, while I would still say the initial fighting stage is my favorite, the themes of this grouping in particular allowed for a more interesting finish than I am used to.

Each trilogy in this series has featured different relationship dynamics and kinks explored, and as br33ding was one of the Princes' overall themes (& kinks) this final book has the pregnancy, delivery and lactation bits we have all been waiting for, and they were fabulous. I found I really enjoyed the in-depth look at elements that are normally condensed into brief, HEA epilogues without any associated drama or descriptions of the reality. This struck a nice balance that was very entertaining.

The steamy bits are always delicious fun in this series and PoL was no exception to that (including a HOT MMF scene), but as this was the final book for this group we also got some questions answered and saw some trilogy-long plot threads come to very satisfying (and emotional) conclusions. Woven in were teases for the next trilogy, the Barons, and I truly cannot understate how excited I am for their gothic charisma.

Before:

This is our lot in life now...

The never ending wait to the Finnish we all know is coming with a plot twist?

I love this series to death but the last book felt like a placeholder and I'm beyond pissed ...

Legacy better not break my already kinnda dead heart coz I don't have a lot to live for lol

Review after reading:

So what? We just come to terms with the fact that we can't have nice things?

A series that started so strong and then went outer space with Lavinia and the Dukes just fizzles down to a bunch of whiny, incompetent, impotent (yeah I said it) cry baby wet rags and a girl whose just there coz her mama told her she's meant to a (duchess) princess.

Why why why?

I was SOOOO bored... like sooo bloody bored and considering that the writing is good and there are soo (too) many characters and soo much convulsion happening (that really doesn't further the romance(?) or relationships or anything that's saying something

And for an erotica this was just... I mean you know that's why where here right? And the whole dumb sex rituals were pretty annoying and pointless and stupid and counterintuitive from the start but I said OK.. but in this book... the no sex rule with actually no real sexing? The one sex per day rule? It makes no sense on a medical or emotional level and the fact that Pace, Wick and Verity would ADHERE to it makes no sense. In fact this whole thing kind of defeats the PURPOSE of a reverse heram I mean DID YOU HAVE TO SEBVERT THE GENRE WHEN THE GENRE IS WHY WE'RE HERE?

there is no much telling of emotion and no fucking showing.. like i think the most I felt in this book was when Wick was at the blood drive snd Verity fliched at him... her emotions and his reactions actually meant something but we get no pay off no resolution and no real build up of interpersonal relationships and GOD I hate this
