I'm a self proclaimed Horror Aficionado, Self Published Horror Author who loves any and all things Macabre. If I'm not writing, I'm geeking out on space stuff or watching Horror Movies. I can spend hours talking about the universe, or how horror has shaped the entertainment industry as we know it. I have a deep rooted love of anything zombies thanks to the king Mr. George Romero.
Outside of the fascinating deplorable world that is my imagination, I......well.......I don't really know cause my imagination is my world. If it involves go fast automobiles, gearhead/petrolhead, dark disturbing horror, or space, we will probably get a long just great.
As always, thanks for your support. Without you, I would be another blade of grass in a boring world.
All the Rage sucked me in & left me with a need to know wtf happens next. Then Dave Hardy announced Consumed by Rage so we could finally get some answers! We left off with a cliffhanger not sure how Nate or Ashlee would end up in this 28 Days Later-esque, dystopian hellscape. They both survived, but Nate is a crispy shell of his former self & Ashlee is trying to escape the grips of the cult who won’t let her out of its clutches. The second look at this bleak, apocalyptic world brings even more gore and depravity that Hardy expertly weaves into a compelling story. We are still rooting for our main characters, along with some new survivors they meet along the way, even knowing that they are fighting a daunting battle. It’s nonstop action from cover to cover, even the few seconds of rest between attacks feels like a mounting panic attack waiting to happen. It’s the most entertaining panic attack you’ll ever have tho, with blood and gore and references that will make you laugh at the WORST possible times. Just when everything things looks like they can’t get worse, a biker gang unlike any you’ve run into before shows up and leads us into a truly insane ending. No spoilers but WOW, Dave, WOW. P.s. I’ll never look at beef jerky the same again & that nail in the wall scene will probably never leave my mind. 😩 Highly recommend, after you gird your triggers.
WOWZA!!!! I love a good second book and David fucking nailed it!
This continues from book 1 so I would suggest to read All The Rage first (duh 🤣) just so you get to know the main characters. We get different ruthless characters and we continue to follow Nathan and Ashlee. I loved watching their love story unfold dispite everything! The ragers are as vile as ever and the violence is top notch 👌
Just like book 1, this is fucking gross...I loved it!!! The deaths were extremely satisfying! David also provided a song for each chapter which made it that much better! Go read this book, you won't regret it!
David you did it again!!! This book is so full of twists and turns it’ll literally make your head spin. Nonstop action throughout completely sick and twisted but you literally can’t stop reading! Loved it and I highly recommend!
To say I’m sad it’s over would be an understatement. This follow up book to All the Rage delivered in more ways than I was expecting. I felt all the feels, from disgust to sadness, fear to anger and joy, I felt them all. The middle of the book took a slight turn that wasn’t completely necessary and felt a little random but all together as a whole the book was great and I am so glad I got to hear more of Ashlee and Nathan’s stories. I wish Jake had a better outcome but I can’t necessarily say I’m surprised. Thank you David Hardy for yet another incredible book!
David Hardy has done it again, with his continuation of this Rage series. The new characters we meet in this book 😳😬
There are some twists & turns and straight up gore, so he prepared.
David sent this to me to read early for my honest review.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat like a good action/road flick. It also pissed me off, and downright shocked me at times. This is a helluva ride.
Thank you for letting me read this early. This comes out on Halloween October 31st, this Tuesday.
Really good, out of my normal type of books but I devoured the first one and had to read the second one. Fast pace action packed with grossness and gore around every corner. Can’t believe that ending though but I loved the characters and the plot.
Consumed by Rage continues Nathan and Ashlee's journey in a zombie filled nightmare, where the actual people are worse than the infected. Reading the first book is necessary to understand the second one. David Hardy makes a refreshing, unique concept in his zombie series. Nathan and Ashlee are entirely different people who meet and fall in love. Under normal circumstances, they wouldn't have. But they do when the zombie apocalypse starts. Before the end of the world, Nathan was in prison for murder while Ashlee was in a mental hospital due to PTSD. Her past is very important to remember when reading the second book. Nathan starts out cold, hating everyone without hope for humanity until he meets her. He is a sociopath. They are both victims of their past and deal with it differently. The second book definitely expands on this, and the characters have so much depth, which affects how they deal with the difficult situations they encounter. The sequel is just as jam-packed with action as the first book. I will not reveal any spoilers, but there's a lot in this second book that I was not expecting, and it left me with my jaw dropping. Also, each chapter in Consumed by Rage lists the next character's POV, which is very helpful. Below it, there is a title of a song that foreshadows the mood and events in them. This was an interesting touch. I will create a playlist to listen to when I reread this again. It will add to this fantastic experience. This book is extremely entertaining, and I highly recommend it!
So David sent me this to Arc read but I already had it pre-ordered and purchased 😂 so thank you David! All my questions and confusion got answered with this second book. This was a wild ride I couldn’t put down! This was horror after horror and I loved the ending coming full circle if you will. All the horror! All the ragers! All the creepy weirdos.. David really nailed how our world would probably look and how people would act if everyone went crazy. Loved it! David’s writing is excellent because it’s easy to understand and I fly with it. Lots of so many good details and gore without being overly gross, perfect balance for an extreme horror.
This All The Rage novella sequel was the best conclusion I could have hoped for. This continuation had so many cool twists and turns I was absolutely not expecting. So many original ideas that made for a really kick-ass ride! Nothing worse than when an author leaves loose ends at the conclusion of a series, and fear not, David leaves no stones unturned. All The Rage was the incinerator and this was the CREMATION ! Impeccable ! 10/10
The sequel to All the rage is even better than the first book. I read it in one afternoon, and was very gripped by the events and enjoyed how the characters survived all the stuff thrown at them. I was baffled by the ending but in a way, I saw it coming too. Quick entertaing story.
The way this book finished the series left me shocked. I was invested in the characters and couldn’t wait for more brutality and survival they represented to us. But wow. I wish it was longer just to make it last lol dark, brutal, shocking, fast paced, and absolutely riveting from start to finish.
So …. To start I give this book a 4 ⭐️ . This book had some serious blood , gore , and violence ! As well as some very disturbing scenes of horror !!! It also had a story of reconnecting and survival . Assuming they took care of Father Perkins for good only to find out his seed was already planted . Ashlee realized she will be the one to carry his seed refuses to do so . This book is not for everyone ! Please read the warnings due to very extreme horror ! 😱😱😱
