Updated Review 11/10/25: I totally forgot how much I enjoyed reading this series so long ago!
I also still firmly feel that there is no one cuter than Blanche!
She is way too precious and definitely almost cried at the end because of how deeply moving Abigail's words were to her! There is such a special beauty in this story of seeing Abigail do anything and everything she can to make Blanche happy, and as a reader, I can't help but cheer for her in accomplishing that and more!
I liked the touch of foreshadowing with Sabrian's character because while I do not like him right now, I know I will in future volumes. However, I forgot how there was one scene specifically that points to the horror that took place at one point in time…
Funny enough, I will mention that the mirror is my favorite character, as I forgot how blunt he is! LOL!
Overall, such an amazing read once again!!
Original Review 8/22/23: This manhwa was everything I was hoping it would be! *happy cries*
A few years ago I read the light novel and DEEPLY loved it! When I found out there was a manhwa adaptation AND that IZE Press licensed it physically in English no less, this series quickly jumped to one of my most anticipated releases of this year!
There is something so very special about this story of this woman who is now in the "evil" stepmother's body that ADORES her stepdaughter so so so much. Seeing the hurtles that Abigail needed to overcome (since the original Abigail did NOT adore her stepdaughter) to get Princess Blanche to not fear her was SO heart moving and warming because you can see and feel Abigail's desperation to be close to Blanche. It is her main motivation behind every choice and action she makes, which leads to some really humorous expressions, an awful moment with her husband that left me in a fit of rage, and to beautiful moments such as the end.
And speaking of her husband…I'm unsure of what to say. I still vividly remember his backstory and know he is not the guy I absolutely hate right now (because goodness if I didn't agree with many of Abigail's comments of him being a straight-up jerk!), but it is HARD to even remotely like him. Granted, he did have a few redeemable moments when he actually apologized and how faithful he is to Abigail even if he doesn't love her. So he is not completely horrible, but I definitely want to see him level up as his father, which makes Abigail all the more amazing. Why? Because right from the opening chapter, she is saying she wants him to "fulfill" his role as a father and forget about fulfilling his duties/role as a husband. She probably needs to say it a little louder for him but also for all the other male characters in fiction who aren't good dads…
I really really enjoyed the art! So many times I would burst out laughing at Abigail's expressions and people thinking she was scheming some evil plan, when in actuality she is planning something to make Blanche, and her face just looks like that. LOL!! Plus she has some really moving moments that I think were captured beautifully such as her apologizing to her maids and seeing her face light up when Blanche is happy because of one of the gifts she gave her.
Very much looking forward to reading more of this series! It is such a delightful read with super engaging characters and a premise I haven't read before! Can't wait to see what gift Abigail will give Blanche next, how her husband will be less of a jerk, and more shenanigans with a certain magical item!
I’m so happy that my favorite web-Manhwas are getting physical copies 😍
A fashion designer for children fashion was reincarnated as the evil stepmother of Blanche (aka Snow White), but she just can’t fulfill her role. Blanche is way too cute, the mirror is kinda disrespectful but honest and blanches father… is a major a**.
I love this Manhwa so much! It’s soooo funny me the art is really good!
I need the next one NOW please. Or the next light novel or SOMEthing. I NEED to know how this is going to end. The manga is great, but the light novel is SO much better. But I don’t think that’s available, so the manga will have to do.
5, I wish the entire series was already completed, stars.

3.5 stars. So cute, and I quite like the art style. There's so much pretty clothing in particular, and I'm a sucker for that! I find it refreshing that, despite this also being about a character who ends up in the body of the villainess of the world she reincarnates in, her focus is really on adoring her stepdaughter and doing what she can to really make her happy and see her smile (even if the intensity of that adoration can be a little too much for me at times). It's a really simple story so far, but I have no doubt that the 'new' personality she's displaying will throw things into an uproar... much the way it's started to do for the king. (I'm very curious to see that relationship develop too!)
This was a cute start to a gorgeously drawn story about a woman who is reincarnated as the "wicked stepmom". But in her new life, she has no intention of maintaining that reputation and instead takes steps both to make amends, but mostly to be a good mother and spoil her stepdaughter, Blanche.
Blanche is adorable, and it's pretty funny to see how much "cute aggression" Abigail gets around her. I also have so much respect for how insistent she is on making sure Blanche has a genuine childhood filled with laughter, color, and joy. This is especially evident towards the end where we see glimpses into the lead's own struggles in her former life, and how determined she is to keep Blanche from developing the same insecurities.
I have no opinion on the inevitable romance yet. The king is cold, though intentionally so, but I'm certain there more under the surface. I'm especially eager to see him become a good father to precious Blanche.
I read a ton of webtoons but never mark them—there are countless ones I start, forget about, they stop updating, I lose interest, blah. It's endless and hard to keep track of when so many are ongoing!
This is technically a reread for me because I'm trying to stay up to date with the translation. I really like this story, and I'm glad it's becoming a published book in America! The art is fun, the story is engaging, and I adore the characters!
Reading it again was sooo much fun, and I know my ass is gonna continue. Also, can we just talk about how CUTTTTEEEE Verite is? I forgot he was older with Bibi before!
The adorable is balanced out by a very nice theme of Abigail understanding that Blanche needs time to be an actual child and her horror that an eleven-year-old is being put on a diet.
Wow actually pretty good and really cute at points, with some very solid art.
Basically a woman dies from overworking and transported into a mean wicked step mother's body who happens to be a queen. But as she slowly has to change her ways, and make a better life for a little princess, her wicked ways follow her. Especially her creepy evil smile.
Overall nice dunk on evil stepmother stories, with great character moments. Pretty much any moment with the princess was adorable. Enjoyable and excited to read more.
I really enjoyed this one! The Art Style is lovely and just generally really gorgeous. The Plot was interesting to follow and I cannot wait to start the second one! I can recommend it for those of you who love fairy tales with a little twist.
This was so freaking cute. Abigail is so kind to Blanche, and she is able to put the king in his place. I hope he comes to realize that she is actually a good person, and worth so much more than he’s been giving her. Hopefully things will develop well for everyone.
I was interested in the original light novel a long time ago when my friend first read it, but when the English version went out of print and was never picked up again (to my knowledge anyway) I kind of forgot about it until that same friend read and reviewed this series, bringing it back on my radar. My library had it and it sounded like it could be a good, cute read so I decided why not? And I quite enjoyed this first volume!
Yes, Abigail is a typical (at least from what I’ve seen in reviews, haha) manhwa reincarnated heroine from the real world being plopped into a fantasy one—this one the fairy tale Snow White—but unlike most of these that I’ve heard of or read she isn’t oblivious to her past life/self nor is she trying to fix stuff to avoid a terrible fate, she just wants to live out her life quiet and doting on her stepdaughter, Blanche aka Snow White, which I found super sweet and fun to see her “geek out” over Blanche’s cuteness, lol. Blanche herself is really sweet and I hope she gains confidence in herself as the series goes on.
Sabrian, the king, is definitely jerkish right off the bat but from a few things I’ve heard through the grapevine there’s definitely a reason for this, which even if I hadn’t heard these vague things one part from his POV definitely tipped me off on something having gone seriously wrong in his past, so I ended up feeling more sorry for him then angry at him. Though the ripped doll scene did make me angry and upset as it was so heartbreaking yet sweet with how Blanche handled it in the end. And I can’t wait to see more of the Magic Mirror, Verite, he’s hilarious and my kind of exasperated snark, lol.
A different take on Snow White for sure, this is a sweet family oriented story with lots of growth ahead for this little broken family that I’m very interested in continuing!

This was very fun and sweet, with some really great tender moments in between. I ADORE Abigail's facial reactions - absolutely hilarious. The last scene of the season where the king asled her to hold his hand every night regardless of the fact the festivities are over? And her blushing sweetly bc of his "do you not like holding hands with me for no special reason other than just holding hands?" line?! SO SWEET 💖
A modern day designer gets reincarnated as the Evil Stepmother from Snow White — only she’s *not* wicked and loves children. Fluff ensures in a mother-daughter relationship, love in an arranged marriage that leads to a slowburn.
This is suuuper pretty. I really love the art. The heroine is a little too obsessed with her stepdaughter but the poor kid’s been ignored and neglected for so long that she could use the love.
