“I’m not leaving any room” A Love Language 🥰🥰

Y’all K.C. has been in her writing baaagggggg!!! Like back to back hits and I’m not the least bit disappointed!! I enjoyed this book soooooo much! Keep ‘em coming!!!

After a near death experience almost rocked their worlds, brothers Krew and Navy’s bond only grew deeper. Feeling like he failed his brother, Krew created an entirely new meaning to the phrase “my brothers keeper”. He was so fearful of something happening to Navy that he obsessed over his wellbeing and was paranoid beyond reason.

4 years have passed and Krew desperately wants to see the good in his brother so he gradually begins to loosen the reins so that Navy can flourish! During this time two women enter these brothers lives and bring a whole new meaning to the word family and what matters most!

The ride these two couples took me on was a joy and I absolutely loved every second! It was just enough drama and angst that made for a memorable story! Tessa and Mona were some miserable broads and I really wanted them written out if the storyline but that was wishful thinking! O’ni and Jy’ah were the definitions of when they go low you go high and I loved the peace they brought to these brothers that already had so much stacked against them mentally and emotionally.

5 out of 5 WOULD recommend!!!

After his baby brother nearly dies from a drug overdose, Krew finally leaves the streets for good and goes on the straight and narrow to become a legitimate businessman. Four years later, he’s the owner of the popular cigar lounge Flavor and Navy is clean and sober and graduating from college in a just a few months. All is right in the lives of the Troy brothers but, Krew constantly worries Navy will fall prey to that China White again so, he keeps the reins tight and a very close eye on the younger Troy at all times. While the brothers are building their careers and getting their lives in order, in walks O’ni Evans and Jy’ah Moore. These women are everything the Troy brothers needed. They gave them peace, helped them navigate their healing era, and gave them the love they both craved. I loved watching these two couples fall for one another so organically. I really enjoyed this book. I adored the relationship between Krew and Navy. Their bond was unbreakable and the love they had for each other was heartwarming. If am I my brother’s keeper was a book, Sinful Disruption would be it. 🫶🏾🫶🏾

The Troys

Absolutely amazing. These brothers were absolutely amazing. The love they had for one another was fierce. After a previous scare, Navy was on the path of healing. He's sober, he's in school, and has a great relationship with his keeper, his brother. Then he meets Jy’ah. She brought peace in his life and became a major part of him. The immediate attraction would not let them stay away from each other. Krew, the older brother, loved his little brother. He looked after his brother, he protected him at all cost. He subsequently even changed his life for the sake of his brother. I loved watching him organically fall for O’ni. They were unproblematic and their love for one another was healing. These women came into these brothers' lives and helped them both with their healing process and brought something special to their lives.
I super enjoyed this book. These characters left a lasting impression.
Loved This!!

Ready for Love

This was a story of growth, love, and redemption. Krew is the big brother of Navy and he takes that role in his life seriously. He is a true protector and after a life changing experience, Krew keeps a tight leash on his brother.

Four years later Navy is making great strides in his life and things seem to be trending upward...he is graduating college, has found a special woman, and most importantly he hasn't fallen back to his old actions. However, his past relationship is lurking, threatening to cause him to slip. Tessa was a piece of work and I didn't like nor understand her at all. She stayed on my last nerve, that said I appreciated how he handled her and maintained his priorities. He was finally able to redeem himself. SN...This Ninja neva went to work, sign me up for the investment life.

It was nice to see Krew step aside from his protector life and find love for himself. I loved that he found ambitious azz O'ni randomly and the energy he gave from day 1 was everything. I loved everything about him and enjoyed them together as a power couple. I didn't understand the need for his whack azz ex either, but it did help us understand Krew's plight as a man. I enjoyed their evolution.

A lot of story

The story was a lot to tell. The brothers were one another's keeper, and it was a very good thing. I don't really have anything to complain about in this one. I liked the leading characters and the outcome in each relationship. I'm good.

The brothers Troy's life was profoundly altered by a brush with death. As both Krew and Navy settled into their own occupations and adult lives, they became closer to one another. I appreciated the stability and order that O'ni and Jy'ai provided for the brothers. Both romances seemed genuine to me. Navy's struggle with addiction to substances was believable and developed his character, in my opinion. I also found it intriguing to learn about Krew's feelings of guilt over his past romantic relationship and the past actions that his brother made. I didn't like neither of the exes and didn't care for their change ways

PERFECTION

Ooooooh this book was so darn good!!!!
I loved every single word of it.
I loved the connection and chemistry between both couples. Especially Krew. He has climbed to the top of my book bae list. He is such a MAN. I loved everything about him. Whew
I think I want him for myself. He was so authentic, charming, kind, and so much more. O'ni and Jy'ah were both really good women. They made me so proud with how they handled everything going on with their lives. At times where I though things would go left, everyone was so mature and responsible with how they dealt with the hand they were given. Krew did such an amazing job raising Navy. I honestly felt so drawn to them all and hope they co tinue living happily ever after but I'm so very grateful they got a full complete story with no stones left unturned. Beautiful story and I highly recommend reading it.

Tessa, you powda head ho.

She worked my nerves this entire book. The. Whole. Time.

Anywho. Is it me or did the title of the book not match??! The title felt ominous. I was fully expecting something scandalous.
Nevertheless, this was a good read.
We follow two brothers post a near death experience that changed the trajectory of both of their lives.

Krew was the epitome of ‘I am my brother’s keeper’. He embodied the big brother role and took it serious. He was used to carrying everything on his back and providing for his brother. It was clear that something was missing in his life after a tragic event almost cost him his freedom.

Navy, a recovering addict fighting his way back into his brother’s good graces when he runs into his estranged ex who’s harboring a secret.

3.5 stars.

This was a great book eventhough I don't understand how the title relates to the book. This book was about two men, Navy and Krew, and the women they fell on love with. Not a lot of drama. Some steam. Great communication and backstories. Highly recommend.

The Troy brothers were the epitome of I am my brother's keeper! Krew showed tough love to Navy, after almost losing him, but the love he displayed for his brother was always present. Navy didn't always understand Krew's motives but knew that his brother loved him unconditionally.

While the brothers were building their careers and getting their lives in order; two women barrel into their lives, changing them forever. O'ni and Jy'ai were just the missing pieces that Krew and Navy needed. These women were able to help balance them out, as well as show them loves they had never experienced before. Now these damn exes need to stay in the rearview, cause they were trash! 🤬 Just mean and spiteful for no reason at all! Ughhh... 😡 But the brothers didn't play about people they loved, especially the women! Anybody could get it. A beautiful story of love, forgiveness, and redemption.

Just Eh

This was definitely not my favorite K.C. Mills read and I’m usually hooked on her writing real bad.

I’m not sure if it’s the point of view that the story was written from, I like when she does first person. The way this was written, it took me a while to actually get into it and finish.

The story also felt like something was missing, I’m guessing because of the point of view it was written from and having to mesh 4 stories essentially into one book.

But Mills is my girl. Onto my next read of hers.

The Troy Brothers

Tessa was so wrong for what she was and had did to Navy. He owned up to his mistake but all the blame she was putting on him wasn't right. I believe that is why James relapsed cause he knew Tessa wasn't over Navy. Jy was the right lady for him. I was hoping Emma would move in with them. Krew he had his flaws but he loved hard. Now his ex was crazy she needed to get help for her demons. O'ni stood 10 toes down for her man. I need more on Phoebe?

It was okay

The story was okay…… Navy and Tessa situation was annoying.. a woman would never allow this man to continue to spoil his ex just because she’s his baby momma.. The story was boring.. I skipped through it. I’m not sure what it was, but something was missing. Tessa was annoying and Michelle was annoying..

Great book with minimal toxic drama. Only complaint is I felt the book could’ve been finished in about 50 less pages.

The title says it all this book is truly a sinful disruption. Now this review probably won’t make sense because there’s no spoiler alert, but once you’ve read it, you’ll understand. It’s a story of second chances, accountability, forgiveness and breaking free from toxic people and environments. The struggles, the fight for family, and the reminder that jealousy never brings peace made this good read.

I will say this: I absolutely despise a bitter baby mama or daddy. Children are innocent, and your priority should always be their well-being. Before you act, ask yourself: Is this helping my child or hurting them? Remove your personal feelings from the situation. And on the flip side, be mindful of who you choose to make that lifetime commitment with in the first place.

SIDENOTE (aka “Don’t come for my stars!”):
Just a quick heads-up my ratings are based on whether I’d reread the book or add it to my personal collection, not the quality of the story itself. So here’s how I roll:

5 🤩 = I’m obsessed with everything the storyline, the author, and the narrators! I read it yearly and own ALL the copies: physical, digital, and Audible. I can basically recite this book. It lives in my private library.
4 🌟 = Loved the story, the author, and the narrator (if it’s audio). I’d happily reread it when I need a solid comfort read.
3 ✨ = Enjoyed the story, the author, and definitely the narrators. A great addition to my yearly reading challenge likely to revisit if it’s part of a series I need to refresh.

I loved this so bad I didn’t want it end! I loved the connection, chemistry, and evolution each character had (except Tessa’s ass, but I guess).

Krew was that guy! The way he loved and protected his brother back to the man he knew he could be was beautiful to see. I love that he kept his foot on his neck, but when he was convinced that Navy was straight, he let him flourish and walk his own path as a man. Meeting O’ni was a game changer for him and I loved their balance.

Navy was my favorite. He fought to be respected and trusted and he earned it. Jy’ah was his perfect match, she settled something in his spirit and he freed her. The way she was so mature dealing with the Tessa situation made her even more lovable.

I’m glad Tessa found sobriety again and was able to stay clean, however, she can all kiss my ass with her lying self.

The level of maturity and character development in this book am was A1! This was a really good read!

Krew and Navy

This is what I mean when I say I want urban romance with minimal drama. Krew was a MAN..okay…He might even be my man. I love how he serious he was about ensuring that his loved ones were safe and happy. He was a brother and second father to Navy and it was obvious. O’ni was definitely lucky to stumble upon him because he was everything. Navy was a close second, but he stood on business as his brother taught him. Jy didn’t know what she was getting when she met him, but the covering his provided her was amazing. Even with meddling moms and trifling exes in the mix, the brothers and their women remained consistent.

"Sinful Disruption" (2023, 2024) is a novel about two brothers who have endured a difficult urban life. Older brother Krew is now a entrepreneur who owns four successful nightclubs. Krew looks after his younger brother, Navy, who’s finishing his last year in college after nearly dying from a drug overdose. Both encounter women who change their lives and bring out the best in them. The novel displays a great deal of heart but is marred by nonstop profanity and crude language. Also, the switching of character points-of-view during scenes made my head spin. Vance Goodwin’s narration is well done. Not recommended.

Loved It

K.C. has done it again. Beautiful love story!
The guys were truly alpha males but loved hard, especially when it came to the ones they love. The brother Navy and Krew were each others keeper for real!

Jy deserved all of her happiness, just as O'ni did.
Family was everything, though shown in a different light for Jy and O'ni.

For those who couldn't handle the relationship between Navy and Jy as well as Krew and O'ni, their issues were addressed.

Love is love, and whennit finds you,.there's nothing you can do about it

The Troy Brothers

Krew and Navy are brothers who were delt a bad hand in life but learned to work through it. Krew was the oldest and the protector of the family. One day, he mets O'ni, who was having car troubles and helps her. Both were instantly attracted to each other now they are trying to start a relationship but each have drama from the past in the way.Navy is a recovering drug addict who is trying to finish school and get his life back on track. When he mets Jy, things between these two go quickly from friends to lovers. Great story about the Troy brothers

Another one ‼️❤️🐐

I mean it’s not much to say but it’s a KC Mills read 🤷🏽‍♀️ literally everything I expected it to be alpha, love, great chemistry, great sex and very little drama but Tessa tried it.

Absolutely loved Krew and how protective he was of Navy. I know Navy hated that but he also appreciated it. I loved O’ni and Jy for them ❤️ My heart is happy everybody got their HEA ❤️

Trials And Tribulations Can End Up Being Great!

K. C. Mills. Good read. My first read by you, I really enjoyed it. You went into some real topics you showed men being vulnerable, you showed how some folk can't let go, you showed what true forgiveness of ones self looks like. How blended family's can work when all is out in the open. I'm getting into your catalog now. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Krew and Navy had been through a lot but a chance meeting with O'ni and Jy'ah changed their whole life! They both got the girl of their dreams and a family! Jy went through with her father, Tessa was a whole jealous heffa, Sway was a fool and the other women needed to get a clue! This was a very good read, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanks for another great read K.C. Mills!

Them Troy Boys

Sinful Disruption ...😍 so let me first say I love me some Krew. Him and Navy relationship was like brothers but father and son all in one. Both heroines in this book were strong feminine beings with a loving character. The beginning had me locked and loaded. KC Mills delivered again...
