Cameron White is the most famous student influencer on the Bellevue campus. Not only that, she is one hell of a gymnast, ready to stick every landing her senior year. It’s time to go out with a bang.
In order to think outside the box for her final marketing project, she has a proposition for the only other popular content creator on campus, a guy who just happens to be someone she trusts, Benson Jeannot—her lover from her freshman year.
Given everything that went down between them three years ago, surely, he won’t say yes to her fake-dating idea. Though what she doesn’t know is that Benson has been chomping at the bit for a second chance with the one who got away.
Benson Jeannot is on his way to the NHL draft, but first, he has to help his Bellevue Bullies win the cup. He is supposed to focus only on his grades and his ice time. But if he thought he couldn’t sign up for the draft quick enough, that has nothing on how quickly he agrees to “date” Cameron.
Problem is, she wants this to be an arrangement, while he wants to be her forever.
Freshman year, the choice was Cameron’s to make. Now, can Benson make it clear he’d do anything for her to choose him?
My name is Toni aleo and I'm a #PredHead, #sherrio, #potterhead, and part of the #familybusiness!
I am also a wife to my amazing husband, mother of a wrestler and a gymnast, and also a fur momma to Phoebe, Gaston el Papillon & Winston.
You can usually find me hollering for the whole Nashville Predators since I'll never give my heart to one player again. When I'm not in the gym getting swole, I'm usually writing, trying to make my dreams a reality or being a taxi for my kids. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Supernatural, Disney and anything that sparkles! I'm pretty sure I was Belle in a past life and if I could be on any show it would be supernatural so I can hunt with Sam and Dean.
Get your tissues ready because Chosen by Love will put your heart through a blender before it starts to piece it back together. Cameron and Benson will steal your heart. Cameron and Benson went through something when they were freshmen that created a bond between them, but caused them to not really be friends on involved with each other until senior year rolled around. Cameron is determined to pass her final and he decides her plan will include Benson. Benson agrees, but with the sole idea of winning her over again and having his second chance with Cameron. Cameron and Benson put on a front, but the more time they spend together the harder it is to ignore their insane chemistry and the past. These two take us on a beautiful second chance journey that will have your emotions all over the place and rooting for Benson to win Cameron over and give them a second shot. Then add in Bensons insanely confident and does what he wants attitude to make his dreams come true and Cameron’s strong willed and determined attitudes this two feed off of each other and give us all the feels! I couldn’t put this book down until I knew what would come of their relationship. Plus, add in the drama of Quinn and Emery, I am dying to know what will happen between those after what happened during this book. I’m addicted to these characters and cannot wait for more!
Before reading this one you should read Her Choice, what happens in this book is talked about a lot in this new book and it will help you understand why both Cameron and Benson are the way they are as they had a tough choice to make and now are living their lives with that choice lingering over them in different ways.
For Cameron it seems like there is a lot of guilt, for going through with her decision and then ghosting Benson afterwards. For Benson it's not being able to stay in contact/talk/see Cameron because she didn't want to.
It's interesting that the moment that each of them has a new choice (the marketing campaign) they jump at it for different reasons. For Benson, it's a second chance to have the girl he fell in love with but this time he needs to make her fall for him. For Cameron, it seems at first it's all about the grade, but you can tell she's lying to herself.
Benson plays the long game, but doing what he wants, showing Cameron how good of "boyfriend" he is, while not really coming out and saying that or putting pressure on her and Cameron is in the land of denial. I love how Callie calls her out about it from the start. You have to give it to Cameron, she tried hard to keep Benson at an arm's length, but it was hard because she really didn't want to. It took a bit, before they were talking about real things, not superficial ones, but they even managed to talk about the past, something they needed to and Benson was able to get Cameron to see how he really felt then and now. I think things might have been better had Cameron's mom not had the history she did and been such a bitch about things. The mom is so toxic (even after therapy together) that Cameron should cut her out of her life for her own mental health.
All of this goes down with some pretty big drama in the Adler family, a family that Benson considers his own. Quinn is sure making some choices, not sure what is going on there, but it will be fun to find out what and why, hopefully he survives things, you can never tell with his ex. Then there is the loss in the family. It was a tough one and hit them all hard. And while it was sad, they all had each other to lean on.
The ending to this one was great! Loved seeing Benson and Cameron start their new adventures in life, something they deserve, along with all the happiness that comes their way!
Wow! Benson and Cameron are complete fire! A hot fling when they were freshmen leads to a tough life decision. One that leaves Cameron running and putting up the highest of walls. Benson had no choice but to give her space, even as he continued to love her from afar. Fast forward to their senior year, and Cameron finds herself needing help, and only Benson is right for this project. The chemistry is still there, only it’s gone from hot to inferno now. Cameron is afraid of getting burned, but Benson is all in, he just needs to convince Cameron that her past won’t ever change his feelings. He has to convince her that she’s worthy of his love. Add in a healthy dose of the Adler family, and this story is another Toni Aleo masterpiece. CANNOT wait to see what’s coming with Quinn, Ava and Emery! Those tease chapters are making me insanely impatient!
Chosen by Love was the eighth book in the Bellevue Bullies series by Toni Aleo. The series does not have to be read in order.
I thoroughly enjoyed Benson Jeannott. He was smart, cocky, talented and had a great personality. I didn’t quite understand his family dynamics and desired a deeper dive to understand the relevance to the storyline. As for Cameron, she had to grow on me. I enjoyed her character but not necessarily as a mate for Benson. And I also desired a deeper dive into her family dynamics, because just Wow for her mom. Very toxic and it never really concluded. However, by the end, I was sold on Benson and Cameron.
Additionally, Aleo set the stage for Quin and Emory, or is it Ava? Yea, this next book is going to have a lot of drama, but I can’t wait to see how Aleo develops it.
I knew I loved Benson from his cameo in other stories, but man oh man is he so incredibly swoon-worthy! Cameron is one of the most precious characters I think Toni has written. To be honest, this story—the topics, the emotions, the realness of it all—hit so differently. It was refreshing and yet still had all the wonderful elements of the characters we’ve been given to this point. The sprinkling of Quinn’s story was effin brilliant! I cannot wait for more!
I absolutely adored everything about Benson and Cammie! I really loved Benson and his absolute admiration, love, and determination to win Cammie back again. Cammie is a strong woman and I'm so glad she finally realized how wonderful Benson is. This story is a tear jerker for many different reasons, but it was all written so beautifully! Loved all the family feels and the angst of more to come!
In book 8 in the Bellevue bullies series we get Benson and Cameron. Oh boy could Benson be any better of a person? My swooning heart was so impressed by his pure loyalty to Cameron, his friends and to his adopted Adler family who have shown him how love should be. His devotion to Cameron was so sweet and so much fun to watch him knock every roadblock she erects to keep her heart safe. Toni Aleo writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Her story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. Toni Aleo’s ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
CHOSEN BY LOVE is the eighth instalment in Toni Aleo’s contemporary, new adult BELLEVUE BULLIES erotic, college, hockey romance series. This is college gymnast/ influencer Cameron White, and college hockey player Benson Jeannott’s story line. CHOSEN BY LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Benson and Cameron) CHOSEN BY LOVE follows the second chance romance and relationship between our story line couple. Cameron and Benson were high school lovers but choices were made, and Cameron ghosted our story line hero. Fast forward three years, both attend Bellevue College, and Cameron needs a subject for her final paper in social media. Pushed by her mentors into a fake relationship with Benson Jeannott, very few people were aware of their previous history. When Benson agrees to six months with our story line heroine, Benson is determined to reclaim our heroine, in the wake of secrets and their fake affair. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Benson and Cameron, and the potential fall -out as Cameron continues to struggle with what happened in the past, taking blame for their relationship fall-out.
The world building focuses on the rekindling romance between our leading couple but also looks at the Benson’s brother by another mother Quinn whose own love life is about to implode. As Cameron and Benson’s ‘fake relationship’ becomes something more, one family is ready to walk away, while the other welcomes the couple with open arms.
The relationship between Cameron and Benson is one of second chances. Three years earlier Cameron pushed Benson out of her live but in the ensuing time neither one stopped loving the other. As Benson’s hockey career pushes toward a professional life, Cameron finds herself at a crossroads between gymnastics and a social media empire. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several of Benson’s teammates and friends, including Quinn, as well as Benson’s hockey parents, and Cameron’s embittered and resentful mother, and loving step-father.
CHOSEN BY LOVE is a story of secrets and lies, heart break and guilt, forgiveness and love. The premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is spicy, sensual and passionate; the characters are animated and sassy.
Benson knows what he wants, he wants the NHL. Benson also wants Cameron, he just knows he can’t end up broken heart again like last time. Benson only has time for the people in his life if they are going to support him and all of his decisions. Between Quinn, his best friend and brother, his true family with Shea and Ellie Adler, and his hockey team he doesn’t need the naysayers who thought he was just going to live out his life on his parents llama farm. However, when Cameron ends up back up in his life after she has avoided him for years, he knows he has to jump at the chance to be her biggest supporter, not only because she needs someone in her corner, but because he’s loved her even when he knows he shouldn’t.
Cameron doesn’t know what she wants when it comes to her future, she just knows she’s at the top of her game when it comes to gymnastics, and her marketing career. So, when she needs to fake date someone to pass her marketing class, there is one name at the top of her list, Benson Jeannot. She’s knows he has no reason to talk to her after she took time to herself after their life altering decision 3 years ago, but she knows there is no one else she can trust like she trust Benson.
Benson and Cameron both need someone who is going to support one another in the next stages of their lives. Benson needs to prove to Cameron, she’s always been his and Cameron needs to let go of the fear that Benson blames her for what happened 3 years ago. Good thing ALL of their friends are in their corner and might be just the things to push them together.
It took no time at all for me to love Benson. He wanted someone to be in his corner, so he knew he needed to do the same and be the cheerleader in Cameron’s corner. Can I please get a guy with my name across his chest for support?? Please?? Benson, like all the Adler (he has the name in my heart) men know how to make his women the center of their life and goodness it is swoon worthy. I loved to see Cameron open up the the fact that the people around her are rooting for her and her future and not holding the past against her. She was honestly my favorite (Don’t tell Posey or Shellie) and loved seeing her and Benson develop throughout the story.
I feel like Toni just loves writing about the Bellevue Bullies because I always have the most fun reading their books. The Assassins obviously have my heart, but the Bullies just know what buttons to push to make me fall in love. CANNOT wait for Quinn and Emery, I NEED to know what is gonna happen like yesterday 😂

•Benson & Cameron Bellevue Bullies Book 8
It’s not secret that I’m a sucker for a second chance romance and this has got to be one of the sweetest ones I’ve ever read! 🫶🏼
Cameron White is at the peak of her college career as an accomplished gymnast and a successful content creator. She’s spent the last 3 years dedicated to her sport, school, and sharing her life on social media. There’s one part of her life she keeps hidden and that’s how much she still cares for the boy who got away…Benson Jeannot.
All Benson, hockey star of the Bellevue Bullies, has ever wanted is to play hockey and make it to the NHL so he never has to return to his family’s farm in Canada. As a freshman, he met his match in Cameron White. After embarking on a fun friends-with-benefits arrangement, the two are faced with a life altering decision. When Cameron asks for space, Benson had no idea she was going to spend the next 3 years avoiding him at all cost, especially when he never got the chance to tell her he’s always wanted to be more than just friends. 🫢
When Cameron is challenged by her professor to come up with a final project idea, she proposes a plan to Benson—fake date to improve the school’s social media presence. Benson can’t say “yes” quick enough as he realizes this is his second chance with Cam and he won’t stop until she realizes how good they can be together. 🖤
I came to adore Benson so quickly and I LOVE his unwavering loyalty and care for Cameron even when she didn’t give him the time of day. 😅 These two experienced so much together and I applaud @tonialeo1 for writing a difficult situation so damn well! 👏🏽
Overall, a perfect addition to a phenomenal series and I CANNOT WAIT to see when she has in story for us next after that little teaser at the end 🙊

Wow, Toni Aleo does it again! Chosen love, the eighth book in the Bellevue Bullies series, is the story of Benson and Cameron. It's a second chance romance between a couple that separated after a traumatic joint decision that deeply affected both of them. Three years later Benson and Cameron are both the captains of their respective teams (hockey and gymnastics) and top rated influencers who start a fake relationship for Cameron's senior project. It's a roller coaster ride of emotions and self-doubt on both sides.
I have loved Toni Aleo's books since she first released Taking Shots (perhaps one of my favorites) over ten years ago. Her books are packed full of emotion and characters that are real. It's such a great experience to read characters, both male and female, who deal with some tough topics - mental health issues, body image issues, toxic relationships, and physical health issues. Her characters are not your typical "perfect image" romance characters. In fact, many of her characters are plus size (both male and female). For example, in Chosen love, Cameron struggles with ADHD that often leads her to make "bad choices" (her words). Benson doesn't see her ADHD as a "flaw." He puts Cameron's needs first, quietly supports her, but lets her fight her own battles. Like Toni's other FMC, Cameron is not a damsel in distress. She just needs someone to silence her doubts. Benson and Cameron's relationship is one of mutual support once they actually learn to communicate.
Benson will now be added to my list of book boyfriends much like Shea Adler and Boon Hoeness from previous books. His loyalty and confidence in his feelings for Cameron are swoon worthy. And I loved how much he appreciated his inclusion into the Adler clan. And as always, it's such a treat to see all my favorite characters from other books and series. Can't wait for the next book! Quinn and Emery's story will be epic!!
In the words of Elli Adler, “Oh my stars” (well I think it was her). This book was freaking amazballs!!! Those of you that have been reading these amazing hockey stories by Toni, and emotionally involved as I am, get your tissues ready you are REALLY in for an emotional rollar coaster. Benson and Cameron, phenomenal couple. I absolutely loved them together. But I have a question, HOW COULD SHE NOT KNOW, NOT REALIZE!!!????!!! For being such a beautiful, smart, put together woman, how could she be so dumb? I really wanted to slap her for unintentionally hurting Benson so often. I really enjoyed seeing some of the old characters from previous books and series. For instance, seeing Jaden Sinclair from Clipped by Love the 2nd book in the Bellevue Bullies series, and Jaden’s son Dawson (man, did Benson have fun with that one. I was constantly laughing my butt off)! And, oh my gosh, seeing Elli and Shea (from Taking Shot 1st book of Ms. Aleo’s entire hockey dynasty). I could go on and on, but I digress. I really enjoyed this book soooo much. But, what I really want to know????? WHAT ON FREAKIG EARTH DOES AVE HAVE ON QUINN??!!??!! I CANNOT WAIT TO FIND OUT. Ms. Aleo, you REALLY need to write that book quickly! I am quite sure I am not the reader wanting the answers to this one. Because of my love of romance books, hockey particularly, I was gifted with a copy of this amazing book for my thoughts and opinions of the book. As you have read, the book is amazing! Phenomenal! Spectacular. Thank you for reading my review. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I have if you are a lover of romance books, so what are you waiting for? Go hit that purchase button, and enjoy this wonderful story. When you are done, do Ms. Aleo a favor and tell us what YOU thought of the book.
Toni Aleo’s chosen by love is the eighth book in the Bellevue bullies series. Once again, Aleo, who is one of my favorite authors, has done an amazing job writing a book that sucked me straight into it. This book follows characters that are met in the seventh book, one of them being Benson, Jeannot, who has been living with the Adler family for years through a program, where a Canadian hockey player can live with an American family to learn more and more in the sport to become a stronger player. And true, Elli and Shea Adler tradition, they have “adopted” Benson and treat him as though he is their own child.
Three years prior, Benson was hooking up with a girl named Cameron and Cameron ended up being pregnant. The pregnancy drove a wedge between them, and Cameron cut off all communication with Benson. But neither Benson nor Cameron were able to get past the feelings they had for one another. Cameron approaches Benson for a school project. She needs to do where they could fake date. And, of course, they end up updating in real life.
The reason I am giving this book for stars, and set of five is because I read this book back to back with the seventh book, and some of the things written about the characters in the seventh book, didn’t add up with the things in the eighth book. It didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book, however, it did bother me enough that I couldn’t give it 5 stars. There was a separate storyline going on, which I am sure will lead into the ninth book about the youngest Adler child, Quinn.
I’ve got to say Chosen by Love is Toni Aleo at her best!
Benson and Cameron have history. Is it a pretty history? No, no it’s not. But after years of avoidance on campus and needing to ace her final marketing project there’s no one else who comes to mind to help Cameron other than Benson. What Cameron wants is to fake date benson but he’s got other intentions and if this is his way in then he’ll do whatever it takes to make her his.
This book felt fresh in every way from dealing with current topics, to the spicy scenes, to new and upcoming job categories such as social media influencers. it And we find our FMC, Cameron struggling to come to terms with making most difficult decision a woman can make. Toni does an excellent job handling this rough and touchy subject and we get such a character story ARC in not just Cameron but Cameron and benson as couple years after making that decision.
Reading this book you definitely feel Benson and Cameron’s chemistry is off the charts. It felt natural and organic and the build up throughout the book will leave the reader needing a glass of water at the ready at all times.
Another way this book felt fresh was the insight into Quinn and reading his chapters spread out all throughout the book. It makes the reader anticipate an already highly anticipated book.
At the end of the day Chosen by Love feels like a fresh revitalization of the hockey romance genre that was starting to get stale and Toni did what she does best and delivers the gut punches of feels while staying true to herself.
P.S. HOW IS JAYDEN SINCLAIR OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE A KID IN COLLEGE!!!!!!
I fell in love with Benson Jeannot when he stepped up as the responsible partner to Cameron in the novella, Her Choice, so I was beside myself when I saw that these two would get a second chance! After a brief relationship in their freshman year, Cameron and Benson parted ways buy never stopped thinking about each other and what could have been. And what could have been would be amazing, if only they could get past their own personal roadblocks and be honest. Now it's senior year and Cameron has a senior project due that will test her ideas of social engagement with her as an influencer. What if she started featuring romantic content on her social media, can she predict the results? Only way to find out is to find the perfect match and put it to the test but this would really need to be someone she trusted....and that can only mean Benson. Benson jumps at the chance for this "arrangement" and sets out to show Cameron just how real they can be together. As with any of the Bullies, Assassins or Ice Cats, Toni Aleo gives us a man with the heart of an angel and libido of a devil....and I'm loving it! This was a great ride to be on as Cameron and Benson reconnected and grew their love. Both strong personalities, this means the banter is sassy and smart. Not to overshadow Benson and Cameron's story, but the glimpses of the Adler kids and of course, Shea and Elli themselves was certainly a treat with this book. There is one Adler that we are all curious about and although he did grab our attention throughout the book, it didn't take away from the journey of Cameron and Benson but instead made us even more excited to know what would happen next!!
With every book, Toni Aleo just keeps setting the bar higher for book boyfriends. “Chosen by Love” is a heartfelt, swoony and fantastic college hockey romance that gave me all the feels.
Benson and Cameron had a whirlwind relationship in their freshman year and after a joint decision that affected both of them, Cameron ghosted Benson. Fast forward three years later, Cameron needs a Beast to her Beauty for her social media project and Benson is her first choice. Their time spent together was supposed to be an arrangement but Benson has been working the last three years to get Cameron back.
Oh my heart, this story had it all for me. My heart will always have a spot for the Assassins and Bullies and I’m so glad we got to go back to the Bullies world. Benson is one swoony guy and he gives me all the Shea Adler vibes. He’s caring, smart, protective and lets Cameron know every chance he gets that she’s wonderful and he cherishes her. He sets the bar so high on the book boyfriend scale. Cameron is someone I loved right from the beginning and I could see myself in her. She made a decision that is hard for a lot of people and I was in awe of her. I loved how she’s a star athlete in gymnastics and an influencer who works for her brand. These two were incredibly sweet together and I just loved them getting back together as an arrangement and then for real. They were so supportive of each other in school, sports and life. I loved having the Adlers involved and catching up with them. The ending was so sweet and the hints we got at the next possible book has me so excited.
I loved this book, even with the controversial subject that broke them apart years earlier. I found this to be a wonderful second chance story that had me rooting for Benson from the beginning. Cameron was very relatable as well, but there was something about Benson that had me hoping that he would get his happy ending.
Deep down, I believe that Cameron wanted to be with him, but didn’t understand or accept that he would want to be with her (because of her choice years ago), so she acted as if she didn’t want him. Benson knows what love is, thanks to his billet family, the Adlers. All he wants is to show Cameron how awesome they can be together and how much he loves her.
While helping her with her final paper, he finally gets the second chance he has been wanting and he promises himself that he is going to prove to her they are more than an arrangement. They are so cute together and really support the other when needed.
Ms. Aleo has perfected the art of weaving a story with multiple layers that has you laughing one minute and crying the next. While you don’t have to read the previous series (The Nashville Assassins, The Bellevue Bullies and the previous books in this series) to enjoy the this book, you will understand the true heartbreak experienced in this book (I bawled like a baby) if you do. Seriously, Toni, how could you?
I loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens next in this fantastic world Ms. Aleo has created. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
Chosen by Love is a magnificent second chance romance. I experienced emotions while reading that I can't put into words. I realized a few things from reading Chosen by Love.
I missed out on the college experience by waiting to go to university in my mid 30's. The friendships within in the story were awe inspiring. The sex had be throwing out a hip just thinking about all the hot sexy times they have. I will live my sex life vicariously through Benson and Cameron. OMG, so freaking hot. So physical. So meaningful. So expressive.
If I could get away with it I would adding all the amazing things that Benson says to Cameron to this review. Guys need to read this book so they can make us HOT and all gushy. Benson has a gift with words. His words frequently left me a puddle of goo.
Benson is an inspiration as he shows Cameron how important she is to him. He refuses to walk away. Cameron struggles with the past. Cameron struggles with the present. His words, his actions keep her grounded. His words, his support has her succeeding.. They are the ultimate love story.
Please allow me to share this PSA. Allow me to save your e-reader. Do not drink while reading chapter 36. I sprayed my Oasis. I laughed until I couldn't breathe. I finished the chapter understanding love, and that blood does not make a family. Toni Aleo has shown me once again that a great book is worth every emotion experienced. The characters and the story will not be forgotten.I can only hope that Benson's words mean half as much as they do to me.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Chosen by Love is a wonderful second chance romance that will tug at your heartstrings from the outset.
Cameron White is not only a famous influencer, she is also an accomplished member of the Bellevue gymnastics team. Benson Jennott is a member of the Bellevue Bullies hockey team and he will likely go to the NHL via the draft next year. Cameron and Benson were involved during their freshman year and they were faced with an unthinkable decision which caused Cameron to put up walls between them, ending their relationship.
Fast forward to their senior year, and Cameron now needs help with a project and Benson is the right person to help her. When she approaches him, he is quick to say yes. It's clear that the chemistry they had back years before is still as strong as ever and Benson decides to use this to his advantage to convince Cameron that his feelings have never changed for her regardless of what happened years before. While Cameron is worried about getting hurt again, can she give things between them a second chance or will she let a guy that may be a perfect match for her pass her by?
Not only are Cameron and Benson wonderful characters, we are treated to the Adler family as they play a pivotal role in Benson's life. Not only that, but I'm very intrigued about Quinn, Ava and Emery's story. Toni definitely did a good job of teasing us throughout this book! Without a doubt this one is worth picking up.
I have this habit when I am reading, which at times infuriates me to no end, where I skip ahead in my mind predicting how the book will play out. But I am here to say that as my brain was working overtime reading Benson & Cameron’s story, I was so far off the mark as to how the book unfolded. I cannot express just how much I loved Benson. He was so sure of his feelings for Cameron and was happy just to wait until she caught up. This didn’t happen in a short amount of time and by the end of the book he totally stole my heart. Then we have Cameron. What a strong and beautiful character she is. I loved how she was written with all her quirks, even down to the typical female trait of overthinking things. I adored her and I thought these two balanced each other out beautifully. And if their story wasn’t simply incredible on its own, then Toni decided to add in a sub story that has me already stabby if it’s not the next book released. So with everything crossed - please Toni, don’t keep me hanging too long!! But I also want to add in a special mention of the Adler family. They are incredible, but Toni absolutely broke my heart with what happened. Don’t get me wrong, in a way it was also beautiful to read, but devastating just the same.
Wow!!!!! Chosen with Love is a book with all the feels and you will certainly want the tissues handy. This is Cameron White and Benson Jeannot’s journey and boy do they have an emotional and entertaining tale to tell. Cam is living her dream as a gymnast and influencer for the Bellevue Bullies. The only issue she has is her final marking project has been rejected and she needs a new one and that’s where Benson comes in. Benson is also living his dream playing hockey for the Bellevue Bullies and looking forward to a top NHL Draft Pick but when Cam comes to him with her idea to show the school what dating means to two top performers he jumps in feet first. The reason being this couple have history so will second time around be any different….one click to find out how the future unfolds for Benson and Cam. Chosen with Love touched me on so many levels, I smiled, I swooned and I shed a tear as I joined this couple on their emotional yet entertaining journey. I fell hard and fast for Benson and Cam is the girl I want in my corner but what took this book to another level was the love that jumped of the pages. This is a beautifully written romance that I highly recommend and I’m now excited for what’s coming next from the wonderful world of ice hockey and the Bellevue Bullies.
CHOSEN BY LOVE (Bellevue Bullies Series #8) by Toni Aleo is gymnast Cameron White and hockey captain Benson Jeannot’s story. It takes place after HER CHOICE their freshman year. Cam and Benny are now seniors. The two had a falling out after HER CHOICE. Now Cameron needs Benson to fake date her for her social media marketing project. Benny is more than happy to jump at the chance after Cameron broke his heart after she ghosted him after freshman year.
I have been reading Toni Aleo’s books since 2011. She is one of my favorite authors. After reading every book, I feel like she outdoes herself. I think there is no way she can surpass herself again, yet she always proves me wrong. She did it again. I loved this book. I am so happy Cam, and Benny got their second chance. CHOSEN BY LOVE is heartfelt and entertaining. The characters are amazing.
Top the story off with the fact that Cam is best friends with Callie Merryweather. Callie is engaged to Evan Adler. Benny is living with Quinn Adler. So, there is more Quinn and Emery Brooks drama. I cannot wait for their book. I love the Adlers. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This story will get you all in the feels. It’s an epic second chance romance that will pull on the heartstrings and make you believe in love and happily ever afters.
Cameron was young and not prepared for a life altering event and her choices led her to where she is now. She is the hottest influencer on campus. Benson is just as famous on campus as the captain of the Bellevue Bullies and headed to the NHL draft. Once lovers they have a chance to rekindle what they once started.
I loved the connection that Cameron and Benny had and the way they still gravitated to each other even after so many years. It was a slow burn in the sense that they were both a little scared to take that second chance. But wowzer once they connected again it was like fire ignited.
Toni is and will always be a go to author for me. Her words wrap around me like a blanket and I love how she writes hockey romance. This book was no exception and I love how she weaved a beautiful love story with spice, heart and family. I can not wait for more.

I've read many of Toni Aleo's books, but I won't lie it's been a minute since I've read one of her newer books and after reading Chosen By Love it makes me want to catch up on her books. The last Bellevue Bullies book I read was Spiked by Love and now I can't believe I forgot about this series. One thing I really liked about this book was the fact that when they had an accidental pregnancy during their freshman year of college we got to see something we don't see in a lot of romance novels. Cameron made a choice to no longer carry the baby. I just felt that it was refreshing to see because it is something that happens in real life and we should see it in romance novels, just like we should see having the baby or giving them up for adoption.
I have been waiting on pins and needles for Cam and Benson’s story and Toni, you did not disappoint!! I loved every minute of their love story! I love a good second chance romance, but Benny and Cams story goes way beyond that. They have a shared history that really stayed with me. When I read Her Choice, I knew I needed them to have their happy ending. Benson is so sweet and supportive. He’s also possessive and tortured with want and all the things that make a great book boyfriend. Cameron is strong and smart and focused. She is brave and resilient and just a plain awesome heroine. They both had back stories that could have shaped them to be different people. Yet they overcame the people in their lives and became who they are in spite of who raised them. Their chemistry is hot and their banter is fun and crazy. This book really did just bring a huge smile to my face. Great end to 2023 Toni! Now give us Quinn and Emery’s story because I just know those two are gonna be epic!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
I was absolutely pumped when Toni Aleo announced that she was going to be giving Cameron and Benson their own full length book. The novella for them was fantastic but I had a feeling that their story was far from over.
Benson and Cameron’s story isn’t easy, it’s heartbreaking and hard, but it’s real and it’s absolutely beautiful. These two were truly meant to be together, no matter how much Cameron denies it. The banter in this one is top notch. The spice, next level hot. And the love, not just between the main characters, but everyone, is so incredible. The Adler family remains my fav family, and this one just solidifies that for me even more.
I will say, TONI ALEO HOW DARE YOU (said with love of course) for some parts of this one. No spoilers, but you’ll all know what I’m referring to once you’ve read it. I am dying to see what’s next! This one may well be my fav from the Bellevue Series!
Chosen by Love is the epitome of second chance romance. This is the eighth book in the Bellevue Bullies series, and you could read it as a standalone, but I think that it would be best read as part of the series. This is a college-based sports romance including a hockey player and gymnast.
Benson and Cameron have a history, one that was challenging and painful. This led to them needing to take some time apart without each other. However, fate seems to have other plans when it comes to this couple. While their second chance started as a social media arrangement, they soon found that connection that made them electric the first time around.
This is a couple that is always supportive of one another and worked had to support one another. This was a sweet and steamy book that showed how partnerships can be the key to finding happiness and forever love. This story showcased a true balance of love, friendship, and personal growth.
These two are just inspiring. I love everything this book represents. This book had me laughing crying and overall just so happy! I have been waiting for Benson Jeannot and Cameron White’s book for what’s felt like forever… his love is absolutely perfect! He knows how to support her, what to say to get her out of her head and make her understand she is his forever!!! I loved this book.. the ending had big fat tears rolling down my cheeks!
Their Past created a gap in their relationship, that time needed to repair- her arrangement brought them to their present life where they have found each other - his love for her and determination has made a future possible, he made her understand she is his future and his forever!!
I also loved how Quinn, Ava and Emery’s story is intertwined in Chosen by Love, absolutely exciting. I highly…highly recommend reading this book. Nothing better than good, honest pure love.
