A nation-hopping – and mind-bending – adventure where you’ll spend almost as much time plumbing the depths of the psyche as wading through the sometimes foul nature of the world. You could technically sum it up with “A heroine and her former tormentor hatch a mad plan to save the world. Danger ensues.” but it wouldn’t capture the magic and brilliance of actually reading the book.

An excellent sequel to C L Spillard's mind-bending psychological thriller continuing the trials and tribulations of the main character Verity. An agent from the US appears in Yorkshire and Spillard keeps you guessing as to whether he is for or against Verity. Will she survive the mind games?
