WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A WANNABE ROCKER AND A SMUTTY BOOK WRITER MEET? I MEAN... STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.
For Jolie, she has her future on her mind and love? It's the last thing she wants to think about. In secret and under a pen name, she writes kinky, smutty, eyewatering stories that if anyone found out about them, her life would be over.
When Stevie gets out of prison, he only plans on doing two things; making everyone's life miserable and touring with his band Death Due.
But that can only happen if he can convince Jolie, one of the smartest girls in school, to tutor him. And no one wants to be associated with Stevie the 'freak.' Unfortunately for Jolie, the opportunity presents itself when Stevie notices a piece of paper fall from Jolie's locker before it has properly closed. A page from her secret work in progress. Words of filth.
So, in order to keep her secret from the rest of the school, she agrees to tutor Stevie on the basis he keeps his mouth shut, but little does Jolie know, he's going to be teaching her a thing or two... when they're alone.

This book was so cute and perfect for fans of Eddie Munson or 10 Things I Hate About You. Both are loved by me, so I really enjoyed this book.
The MMC Stevie had all the outcast bad boy vibes who's a softie at heart, and the FMC Jolie was massively relatable and so funny whilst also curious and kind. I enjoyed how they are practically opposites but still get along (eventually) and that they both help each other in their own ways.
The storyline was pretty straightforward, Jolie is blackmailed by Stevie to tutor him, and so a romance blooms whilst both are dealing with their own problems and trying to achieve their dreams. Watching Stevie and Jolie warm to each other was sweet, but I did feel like it developed a bit too quickly with all the time skips throughout the book. I absolutely adored Stevie's nickname for Jolie, Kinky, since she writes spicy fiction.
Speaking of, there were a few spice scenes that were written really well, and were sweet whilst still being steamy. There were a few editing errors but I wasn't overly bothered. I liked the ending, the third act breakup was inevitable however the resolution was cute.
The book ended with a cute epilogue set 10 years later, and overall had a cute HEA. I'd definitely recommend this for a faced paced easy read that's sure to make you swoon.
Almost DNF. Lots of spelling errors. I liked the idea of the plot, I don’t personally think it was executed well. The chemistry wasn’t organic I felt really pushed into their “love”. I was really hoping for a good Eddie Munson based character and this just wasn’t it for me. Also I don’t understand how her writing smut was like the outrage, most high school girls read Wattpad. Neither one of them were outcasts or freaks.
Cute book honestly, few spelling mistakes but nothing distracting overall loved it- the Eddie Munson inspiration was spot on. The epilogue at the end was a nice touch too
