[Hardcover]
These books are very easy to read, they do a good job of keeping the pace from start to finish. I've never been bored reading these.
I have a hard time relating to Arnie just because he is so freaking spoiled. I get that it is the point, but it makes it difficult to have sympathy for someone growing up with that extreme amount of wealth and being so clueless about it. Also, I find it VERY unlikely that his friends let him of that easy after HE (not his dad) swindled them out of 62,000 kroner, where half of them are not close to rich. He just got away with a lot of bad choices he did himself. He made a big fat mess and didn't have to clean up after himself.
Aside from that, the book fits well in with the others and brings a perspective to the friend group that we've been waiting for. And even though the two last books did not sit well woth me, I can't wait for the finale!
But please, for fudge sake, stop with the excessive use of the word "had" (hadde)!!!
It ruins everything, and it is just LAZY writing! It is possible to write past tense without such abuse.
