Dark, insidious magic that wants to claim me—heart, body, and soul.
At least I have my sister by my side. I know I can always count on her…right?
So why do my body and heart crave the touch of seven nightmares? Why does my soul cry out for a shy, sweet incubus with red hair and earnest eyes? An incubus who claims to love me and says I love him in return…even if I can’t remember?
My head tells me to forget Killian and the others.
My heart tells me there’s something I need to remember, something important, something involving the seven men I’m supposed to hate…
With new truths revealed, a past uncovered, and relationships tested, I’m beginning to wonder if my entire life is a lie.
One thing I know for certain—a war is coming.
I just don’t know what side of it I’m going to end up on.
Lust is the sixth of a seven book reverse harem series. This means that the FMC will not have to choose between her love interests at the end. This book contains strong language, sexual situations, and scenes of graphic violence. Reader's discretion is advised.
I have to admit that I'm not entirely sure if this series really had to be 7 books. The first few books are among my favorite books ever, but the fourth and fifth book gave me the feeling that the author is having to make a few detours to make sure that we will get 7 books in the end, one for each deadly sin. However, since I was prepared for another detour, this is the pre-last book after all, and needed something quick, fast and fun, I felt like giving this book a go.
And yes, this is clearly another detour. However, it's actually a really nice and good one. Not only is Z confronted with her own doubts, worries and the challenge to find her inner power and self, but since Z and her guys are spending most of the book away from each other, we also get to see what being apart does with them, and how badly they therefore need each other. And it was heartbreaking and yet also really amazing to read.
Because despite the fact that this series is filled with detours Katie May is amazing at writing emotions and feelings. She's not afraid of making her characters vulnerable, breakable and in need of help. As someone craving emotions while reading she's therefore a dream author. I know I will feel things while reading. I know I will swallow a few times. I know I'm might shed a few tears here and there. And I know that my heart will break, to be healed again.
Since the next book in the series is gonna be the last one in the series, I'm really looking forward to it. I think that in this book we've seen everyone's true colors. We've also seen that our princes might have more supporters than they believe to have. I'm afraid they will have to fight a few more battles before they will get their happily ever after, but I also know that after all the hurt and pain and worry a huge smile is very likely waiting for me.
3.5⭐️’s - Glad we got the conclusion, but this series didn’t need to be this long. I honestly fast forwarded quite a few chapters of this book as well as a good portion of some of the previous as it became boring/redundant at times.
I did enjoy the ending, because it FINALLY happened, but it was WAY too quick and I was hoping for a bit more of life after the VERY long awaited (non-sexual) climax (which literally happened at the last few chapters).
I’ve been waiting for this book for way too long. Worth the wait? Yes…definitely yes. I have RULE never read series that aren’t finished. This series tho I accidentally started with a friend on vacation. Now that I’ve been sucked in so deeply I’m so damn furious with myself. I NEED to know what gunna happen. I’m actually happy this book turned out way better than I hoped. I was lowkey scared S was gunna give the R-vibes. I deff felt for him. His soul should have never been trapped. He didn’t deserve any of this. Killian…my GOD..he almost made me tear up. He deserves so damn much. How he’s treated.. his shit luck. I can’t even with it. Like if any character of any series deserved the world it would be that sweet ass man. My heart hurts thinking of any of his pain, and bullshit he has to deal with. JUST FOR LOVING Z. Fucking Z, she deff got me angry in this. I’m happy with the ending of this book. BUT now we got daddy issues on daddy issues ON daddy issues with a SPLASH of mommy issues.
Side note: Like I need a telescope to find good alive “parents” in this damn series. Heat seeking missals maybe.. maybe maybe a microscope if all else fails. They are 9.9 times out of freaking 10 all assholes.
Also shout out to Axel for being a G. His crazy ass is always so entertaining.
Z has been overtaken by dark magic, and is basically brainwashed by her sister. It’s not really a friendly story (not that any of them have been) but Z is usually a beacon of light and hope: not this time. There are some good flashback scenes that explain the sisters’ previous lives (in part) that helps explain some character motivations. There’s not really much else in this story, just the guys trying to find her, and then another big reveal/cliff hanger ending. Axel is pretty much the only one bringing the humour in this book, and he’s a side character with little page time (though more than expected for a side character). There’s a little bit of Killian weirdness thrown in, but not much and it was recycled from earlier books. Evil parents are mostly absent (hooray) so politicking is at a minimum. But I think it’s getting kicked into high gear for the final book.
Wow what another great read. I struggled to put this book down. Aaliyah is showing her true colours now, using dark magic to manipulate her twin into siding with her no matter the cost. As Z’s mates follow to try and free her they come to a town full of unexpected creatures and new allies. We find out what really happed to Z and her mates and why Aaliyah is so obsessive about her (Aaliyahs side of the story anyway). With the final showdown looming and the surprise arrival of a mystery parent the last book is seething up to be another one you can’t put down until the end
I feel like each book just gets more drawn out and boring. We're getting repetitiveness in the character's thoughts. Meanwhile, I don't even know what the plot is anymore. It's all over the place. I'm not saying that the story itself is boring. What's boring is how long it's taking for things to happen. The relationships are so drawn out because someone is always missing or gone. I just want progress and I feel like there's very little forward progress. Things are happening, but nothing that really progresses the plot.
LOVE this series, one of my all time favourite RH series and this book doesn’t disappoint! The book Picks up straight up from book 5, and we get to see the fall out of Z being taken over by the darkness and her crazy ass sister. Her men are definitely NOT dealing with it well.
Z is a badass as usual, her men are just as yummy. It’s an emotional ride from start to finish and I cannot recommend this enough! Read it read it READ IT!!!!!!!!

Worthless book. While I have waited patiently for the last two books in this series, this one was worthless. Little plot, no sexy scenes ( and the other books in this series were off the charts) and then I was at rhetorical epilogue are you kidding me! Skip it and pray the last book is better
I love killian, hate s. Z goes through so much but definitely think its worth it. The end definitely left me feeling jaw dropping and need to know what is going on and what's happening.
This book has been devastating for me. The cliffhanger has me in knots! The fact that I have no idea when the last book will come out is killing me. I'm so in love with these characters though. I loved this book. I've loved this whole series.
I just can't finish this book. DNF at 40%. It is soooo boring. The plot is so basic, to the point of painful. The FMC is taken over by evil twin has been done so many times. There is nothing interesting about this book. I don't even have to read the book to know what will happen.
The saga concludes, all the secrets are revealed through complex plot development that gets the princes and Z working together as a lean mean fighting machine.
Fully completed series - supernatural's and why choose. Good job Katie May!
Well this book was better. Clearly getting to the climax! There is good progress on the plot but still new twists being added. Actually looking forward to the final book which have high hopes for as this series has been too long!
So many secrets, so little time. I kind of feel bad for the sister, but at the same time she is an evil b. I also didn’t see that one coming. Can’t wait for the reunion of all the mates. 😈
Well, this book wasn't anywhere near as exciting as the rest. And I didn't expect the cliffhanger but still, a good read. I'm anxious to see what happens next!
I tore through this series so quickly that I didn't take time to review each one as I went, so that speaks to how entertaining each of them are. Unfortunately at this time the final book isn't out and I can't find a release date on the author's page. Hopefully soon before my head gets filled to the brim with other books!
Z is still overcome by the dark magic but Killian is trying to help her out for this. Her sister shows her all these terrible things she did to get her back with her. Somehow by pure will she breaks free but of before someone gets hurt. The 6 other men are finding her and getting her safe but she did it herself. What has happened to Killian? Will he make it?
