About the author

Kate Fraser

Kate Fraser grew up outside New York City as that nerdy kid with her nose always in a book. Her desire to be a writer was quenched in third grade when a book of poetry her teacher submitted was rejected by a major publishing company.
A circuitous path took her to Massachusetts, Oregon, and finally Montana where she met her husband and started teaching. After raising four children, 25 years of being a fifth grade teacher, and correcting untold piles of essays, Kate decided to start writing again.
Her novel, "Do You Really Want to Know?" seeks to honor the lives of her Holocaust survivor parents, exploring the effect on her identity as well as the current day consequences for all of us.

WOW! My father served in WWII so I am certainly familiar with the atrocities of Hitler and his Nazi army. This book is a powerful, eye-opener which highlights the profound impact these horrific times had, not only on the people who struggled through the war, but the residue effect it had on the lives of future generations as well! A must read! We cannot tolerate this hatred and destruction again!

I thought I had finished all my books for 2023, but after picking this one up yesterday and besides having to sleep and have breakfast with the family, I couldn't put it down. So fascinating, devastating, and incredibly beautiful. Well done, Kate. I hope you keep writing!
