Released on National Hug Day, 2024. Get ready for some emotional twists and turns and plenty of sexy fun!

Weston
Life has been a challenge lately. I’ve lost pretty much everything except my house. It’s time to take control. If that means letting strangers rent rooms from me, so be it. I’ll lose the house too if I don’t do something, and soon. I need to get my business and personal life back on track.

When the first two rental applicants show up, however, I’m not prepared for my instantaneous reaction to them. They could be just what I need in more ways than one.

Callum

I’m finally out of school and ready to make my own way. My new job is terrific and just what I want to launch my career as a chef. The last thing I need is a distraction from my goal, but good grief, these two new roommates are something special!

It’s going to be hard to stay focused on my culinary career when they’re both delicious!

Petra

I’m just out of a lousy relationship, so the last thing I need is to fall right into another one. I’m definitely not looking. My dog and I desperately need a place to live, however, and Weston’s ad sounds perfect for us.

Wouldn’t you just know that these two prospective roommates are the sexiest men I’ve ever seen? Callum- all tall and blond with that great athletic build, and Weston… oh my. Silky locks I want to run my fingers through and dimples! Does the man ever wear a shirt?

This MMF romance is intended for mature readers.

Chef's kiss to Callum! Yum, (You'll know what I mean when you read it).

I just found this book outstanding. It's romantic and steamy, suspenseful and heartwarming. The characters are all well-delineated and real, and their relationship might be tricky at times but it still manages to capture your heart.

The plot has some fun twists and turns and will keep you guessing, and the dogs are a great addition to the story. I loved how each of the characters is sympathetic for their own reasons, and I'd love to know more about one of the characters introduced toward the end (I'm not giving a spoiler!).

I'm an admitted die-hard fan of this author's MMF books, and she's done it again with a great one this time. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. These opinions are my own and I'm happy to give them.

National Hug Day seems to be the perfect time for a book called Group Hug although this is more than just a hug it is a spicy MMF tale. You will need a long cool drink just to get through it.
There are three main characters in this steamy ménage à trois. Looking for a roommate or two? Look no further. They say threes a crowd but not in this book. Three is just the right number.
The story is sweet and spicy and has a few twists I never saw coming. There is a bit of angst, a few struggles, a tad of sadness, a lot of fun, some easy banter and let’s not forget the super sexy times that will draw you in.
I love that the story is told in multiple POV it just made me love these characters more. Petra, Weston, and Callum are well-written and likable. The chemistry between this throuple works well Ariella did a great job with them. I just wanted to hug and squeeze them. But don’t forget the dogs they are just as adorable.
There is so much more I could say but I don’t want to give away spoilers. Nope this is one treasure where you need to explore all on your lonesome.
Download the book, you never know what you are missing out on if you don’t.

When I saw this I couldn’t help but scream “ SIGN ME Up“ I’m like the HIG queen 😉🤗 and hello it was released on HUG DAY 😉🤗

So I got more than I bargained for and that’s not a bad thing especially if you like MMF 😉

Weston has had a rough time of late and he’s basically left with the roof over his head but desperate times call for desperate measures and he needs to find himself some housemates to keep said roof over his head …..

Interviews start and there’s 2 promising candidates and it would seem more boxes are being ticked than just housemates 🔥😉

Petra and her 4 legged family member are licking their wounds after walking away from a relationship and they need a roof over their head and space to breathe ,heal and do her writing

Callum can cook so I’d take him in on that alone 🤣he’s looking to make his way on life and in his career and I don’t think he was bargaining on the distraction of his housemates ……

These 3 special peeps and their canines kept me well entertained 🤣😉❣️📚

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Group Hug is a MMF ménage romance written in first person and is MPOV. It is fast burn with medium/high spice content. The books begins with Weston advertising for a roommate to come and live with him and circumstances lead to him ending up with two and an extra dog. The spicy scenes in the book are almost exclusively group scenes and overall the book has a very feel good vibe to it with low angst. I really liked the way that the relationship between Petra, Callum and Weston develops equally between them and they are always looking out for each other and ensuring that no one feels left out. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and found myself invested in the journey the characters were taking. It was a heart warming read and a book I would recommend reading.

I loved this book! I usually do love Ariella Talix because her books take us into realms most of us will never come close to in real life. But not because we wouldn't love to be there. This loving menage develops when two people answer an ad for a roommate. Weston only intended to rent one room, but he ends up with both Petra, who is desperate, and Callum, who just wants out of his family home. The story is told from multiple points of view, which is new for this author, and it works well to show how each character is reacting to the situation. The development of their love affair is sweet and sexy. They and their dogs live together in harmony and support each other through trials, large and small. There is a big surprise toward the end, but you must read the book to find out.

I received an ARC for free via Booksirens and left this review voluntarily.

“This is… well… everything.” … I LOVED THIS BOOK! I am normally a dark romance reader and let me tell you, this was a breath of freaking fresh air! I loved the spice, the banter, the chemistry 👩‍🍳 💋! Perfection! I have to admit I wanted more justice for Petra for who wronged her (not dropping any spoilers). I feel like this book could have EASILY been another 5+ chapters and I would have loved a finally 🌶️ but honestly I loved it so i can’t complain. I will for sure be checking out more from this author.

Three Isn’t A Crowd - It’s Perfect!
Weston, Callum and Petra come together under close-proximity circumstances, but their coming together was just delicious! I was a huge fan of their story - it was the warm and spicy hug I was needing! I loved how individual and developed these characters - I’ll have to keep my eyes open for an audiobook version of this story, because it would make an amazing listen!

This was a quick read with lots of spice, but the book felt like it was more crisis porn and forced alone scenarios at times than an actual cohesive book. I wanted to like the book as I enjoy MMF books, but this one just wasn’t it for me. Others may enjoy it if you like a bunch of weird and random (and unlikely) scenarios to occur in your books that offer very little to the plot in general.

A sweet, loving throuple! I do love an MMF. The story flows smooth, enough storylines to keep it interesting and a very happy ending.

This was such a good book. It was one of the best MMF books I have read. I truly loved the 3 main characters. This book had so many twists and turns I did not see coming. I loved how each of the characters brought different things into the group. They each had their own struggles and was able to overcome them together. Such a great read.

This book is surprisingly heartwarming but the parts about Weston being a burnt out therapist could have been written better to be less repetitive and more descriptive.

I’ve read a few books by this author. All of which being about the same concept and idea just different scenarios. I have to say Group Hug is probably my favorite. The author brings together 3 people from different backgrounds and takes the reader on adventure. All of which have a path to self discovery in some way. It’s just how that comes about that makes this an interesting story.
Weston, Callum, and Petra are brought together by a roommate posted by Weston. Weston was at the point in his life he couldn’t afford his home anymore, so why not find a roommate. What he didn’t expect was to find 2. Let alone be attracted to both of them. Weston lost all but his grandfather young from a freak accident. So when his grandfather passed he was alone.
Callum is ready to get out of his parents house, and the ad was the most attractive option. Because he was running behind he ended up taking the tour of the house with another potential tenant. Striving to create a life for himself in the culinary world. Callum has a decent family who is always there that loves and supports him. However nothing was ever easy for them.
Petra needs a new place and needs it fast. Being recently kicked out of her current home due to the dog she adopted. To her luck Weston was willing to open his home up to both her and Callum. Petra is from a hope with absent parents. Growing up with a slight silver spoon she never knew was family and love were.
Navigating the attraction between these 3 is never easy. And because of that it starts out extremely awkward.
The question is: Will it work out or are they just having fun?
3 very different people but the same in every way . Which is the lesson they realize throughout. Which comes with acceptance of what they have.
This is definitely and MMF menage gives the reader laughs, sadness, smile, and some spiciness as well.

Wes is a psychologist who does virtual visits from within his home. His home was left to him by his grandfather, whom Wes lost just 2 months ago. They were close and Wes has been struggling with depression and motivation in the aftermath. After having so many bills come through it practically knocks him back into reality, he makes a decision to post that he's looking for a roommate to keep his home and that they must love dogs, he rapidly gets messages immediately from both Callum and Petra, and decides to schedule them both that day to check out the house.

Callum appears first and Wes immediately finds himself attracted to him, although it's been a few years since he thought that "phase" of his life was over. Whatever, he's just trying to keep his house and get back in control of things. As he's speaking with Callum, Petra walks up and they immediately all find each other...interesting. While giving them both a tour in order to decide on who will be the lucky winner, Petra and Callum both claim rooms, and Wes figures, "Why not?". In addition to both new roommates, Petra brings her dog to join in on the fun of the new roommate life.

Callum is a new chef with goals in mind and one of the new goals happens to be to get to know his new roommates better! It's a real win with a trained chef in the home, especially when he looks as delicious as Callum does. Petra is a ghostwriter with a lot of ideas in her head thanks to her years of writing. After a breakup she needed a place to stay, and what is safer than a house of 3 fantastic dogs and a couple of hunks?

The three of them each have their own baggage, but don't we all? This read is a lot of fun, has some heat, has some emotion, has lots of laughs, and WONDERFUL DOGS to boot!

This is a MMF, intertwined, connected romance. Overall, I liked it. I really enjoyed the multiple POVs from each main character so we could see what they were thinking/experiencing throughout the book. And the spice…mmmmm…it's definitely there and it's explicit. The forced proximity aspect was well done and the character development was OK. Like I said, overall, I liked the book but I don't think it's one I would be telling people to read (but I wouldn't be like don't read that...if that makes sense). I think the biggest thing I'm stuck on is the fact that I really felt like a lot of the plot was rushed throughout the book and all of a sudden things were happening or like for a few chapters it was a progression of hours or days and then all of a sudden weeks or months went by. So it was really hard to figure out time sometimes in the book and that threw me off quite a bit. And while I liked the spice of the book, I think there was a bit of "shock value" to some of it because I didn't feel like it needed to be that explicit...it didn't necessarily fit the vibe of the book as a whole. Should you read this book? Well, if you are looking for something that is quick with some very spicy MMF scenes and you don't mind a rushed plot, then yes go ahead. If you are looking for something more developed with a slow burn or not so in your face spice, then no, I wouldn't recommend picking this up.

Weston has hit a bump in the road, with his relationship gone and a house which he wants to keep as it holds memories of his grandad but as his financial position becomes more of a problem he is forced to seek a room mate. So when he adds to advert to the site he receives instantly two applications.

Callum is fresh out of school and just embarking on his career as a chef, this is the perfect place to stay but with his two new room mates, can he divert the attraction to both of them to concentrate on his career.

Petra has just come out of a horrendous situation, a bad relationship and her last room mate was not the best and arriving here to meet Weston and Callum she is loving the vibes and it helps they are both gorgeous. Having a safe place for her and her dog to stay is great but these two hunks are a added bonus.

This a lovely story and the chemistry is off the charts. I love all the characters although Weston is my favourite if I had to choose.

I thought the dynamic was brilliant and as it is written in all three point of views it is heart warming to read how there love for each grows with each chapter. With each character struggling with issues in there lives they become closer and start to become a family of sorts including the four legged family members too. The story is well written and the characters are well developed and draw you into the story.

I loved the this story and can't wait to read more books by this wonderfully talented author.

This book was fabulous. I enjoyed the humor, the steam, the banter, the friendship, the love, the relationship, there wasn’t much I didn’t love about this book. It is only getting 4 stars because the long-lost father coming in and saving the trio was too cheesy for me. It was wonderful for Petra to find him and him be everything she needed. It was just a little too much cheese for me.

Petra needs a new place to live. Callum needs a new place to live. Weston is tired of being alone and needs help paying the bills. Petra and Callum were the first people to answer Weston’s ad for a roommate. Weston really only needs one roommate, but who can resist the hunky Callum and the spunky Petra, especially with her pooch Gus.

As the friendship builds between the three roommates, the attraction also builds. The attraction gets brought to the forefront one day when Callum walks in on Petra and Weston kissing. Callum gets jealous. The three roommates have a discussion and discover that the attraction is mutual. The steam starts slow with cuddling on the couch watching movies to kissing and petting, then moves to more. So much more!!! It was beautiful. Each exploring and trying new things.

When each partner faces an obstacle, the others band together. Petra gets hit doubly hard. Weston and Callum are there supporting her with each trial.

Again, a beautiful story about finding family and love.

Group Hug is a MMF romance/drama, and it's my first book by this author. It was also my first MMF book. In this story we meet Weston, a psychologist who provides virtual sessions with his clients from his home which he inherited after his late grandfather passed a few months previously. Weston realizes that the costs of the upkeep of the home are a little more that he can handle on his own, plus he's lonely even with the company of his two great doggos, Goliath and Dave. Weston puts out an ad to find a roommate, but ends up meeting with TWO potential roommates who both seem amazing, so he lets them both move in. Callum, an amazing chef and cooking instructor, and Petra, a ghostwriter who comes in tow with Gus, whom she just rescued move in immediately. The connection is pretty well instant, but it takes a while before any of them act on their feelings. Once they do, however, it's intense and quite clearly the most amazing experience any of them has ever had. There are some bumps along the road that bring family drama, but they are all there to support one another on the way. Petra has some baggage in the way of an ex-fiancé and his druggy "best friend" who causes some trouble for her, but Callum and Weston are there to help. It's a sweet, and at times sad, funny, heartbreaking, inspiring story that I couldn't put down. I'll definitely be checking out other books from this author.

This book was a enjoyable read. It is a MMF ménage romance which has elements of angst, banter, steamy moment, as well as adorable dogs all added to the mix to make this a really sweet story. This story is told from the point of view of our 3 main characters which I loved as it allows us an insight into what each character was thinking and really brings them to life.

We start off meeting Weston. He was a little down on his luck and decided to take a roommate to help pay his bills. What he didn't anticipate was ending up with 2 roommates and being extremely attracted to th m both.

Callum is one of the roommates. Now he has completed culinary school he wants to focus on his work and career. What he doesn't need is the distraction of a relationship or two, especially not with his new roommates but how long can he resist the pull and attraction.

Petra has just got out of a bad relationship, all she wants is a safe place to call home for her and her dog. A relationship of any sort is the last thing on her mind. But with 2 handsome roommates does she stand any chance of resisting temptation.

This is a steamy read which does have twists and turns that I didn't see coming as our three roommates learn to coexist with each other not only as roommates but as lovers. Their journey isn't a easy ride but at times it's a fun one.

Group Hug is a polyamorous romance novel. Callum and Petra move into the home Weston inherited when he realises he needs to rent out a room or two to stay on top of his mortgage. Their mutual attraction is immediate, and it’s only a matter of time before they work out how to navigate a relationship that suits everyone’s needs and desires.

I particularly enjoy the cosy domestic scenes - sharing meals (Callum’s excellent cooking is described in mouth-watering detail), snuggling up to watch movies and so on. The dogs are a great part of the story, often relieving the tension or providing something for characters to bond over.

Petra is a ghostwriter and has researched and written polyamory in the past, so is on hand to provide definitions of different terminology (eg why this is an MMF book rather than MFM) and suggestions for things they can try in the bedroom. This may be helpful for readers who are less familiar with this.

Another great thing about this book is the inclusion of the characters’ families. Weston has lost his family, and Petra has a difficult relationship with hers, but Callum has a big and loving family who are fun to read about!

This book gets four stars from me. I’d recommend it to fans of romance who are open to reading about a caring and supportive polyamorous relationship.

Intriguing MMF romance with steam, sweetness and satisfying ending
This book made me happy to the point of laughter and big toothy smiles; angry to the point of gritting my teeth; and sad to the point of tears. It was so good…
The MMF story is one of my favorite sub-genres in romance. I enjoy the interplay among the three characters. In this story we find Dr. Weston Alister, Psychologist trying to fight the depression he has felt since the death of his granddad two months prior. Meeting his financial obligations is also making life hard on him so he decides to rent out a room. What he gets almost simultaneously are two beautiful people: Callum O’Malley, chef extraordinaire, handsome to boot and Petra Feeney, ghostwriter, sweet and pretty slip of a girl. Their adventures go up and down before we get to the wonderful HEA. Enough spice to satisfy those needing steam in their romance along with intrigue and three spectacular doggie companions: Goliath, Dave and Gus. These dogs become as much of the story as their humans do.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens.

This book is for mature audiences only. It had a great plot and storyline, the dogs in the book were just so adorable, and the characters were easy to fall in love with. Weston comes in as the owner of the house looking for at least one roommate, someone who must love dogs. Two people showed up for the room just about at the same time, and both loved dogs. We get to meet Petra and Callum right from the start of the book, each with their own story of what's going on in their lives. As for Petra, I was intrigued by the mystery that was unfolding with her ex-fiancé and his friend and was scared that she would have a horrible accident, thank goodness the guy got what he deserved. Callum has such a fun, big family, who I fell in love with immediately, and who were so supportive of his hopes and dreams of being the best chef ever. Weston was someone who listens to people's problems for a living, what a great combination adding in two new roommates, and Petra's dog Gus would be. This story took some crazy twists and turns that I was not expecting but does have such a great ending.

This is a cute story with likeable characters. You get a sense of who Petra, Weston and Callum are. I liked the low angst of the book, although there were times the author tried to bring more angst into it, but is just seemed to fall a bit flat.

There are many things that didn’t make any sense, one of them being Petra’s old roommate and some of the demands she was making on Petra…there are host of other things but saying more would give too much of the plot away.

There were many moments that tried to get a tug at the heart strings and ramp up the angst, but it seemed all of the conflicts resolved themselves so fast if you had skipped pages, you would have missed it.

I do enjoy books where the angst is not the characters creating it unnecessarily and this book did that, however there seemed to be something missing that just couldn’t get this out of the “they are sweet and cute with some heat, but lacking meat,” phase for me.

I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

Let's just start this review by saying this is an incredible book with a MMF relationship and it is a steamy one at that. This book is told in multiple POVs, which I feel adds to the overall connection that the reader has with the characters. I love being able to read what they are all thinking. It touches on the past of each character and that helps the reader understand why they are the way they are. Nothing wrong with how they are just what made them into who they are at the present time. All it takes is to answer an advertisement and that is what sets hem on the course of their romantic journey. There is a big surprise at the end that will divinely make your eyes get really big. This book was a very quick read for me as I couldn't put it down because of the storyline and the steam. The dogs just add to the cuteness of the whole book. You will laugh, fan your face, look around to see if anyone can see what you're reading, and you will get lost with the words on the pages until you finish this book.

An enjoyable and engaging MMF romance which kept me happily turning the pages. When Weston must rent out rooms in his house, he was not expecting to have an instant connection to not one but two of the applicants. Callum is just starting out in his culinary career having got his dream job as a chef. He goes along to view a room and meets his roommates, Weston and Petra. He knows they will be a distraction and that he will need to stay focused on his career. Meanwhile, Petra has just left a lousy relationship and so her and her dog are looking for a place to live. However, she’s definitely not looking for another relationship, let alone one with two men. This is a heartwarming story, featuring three extremely likeable and relatable main characters, who I felt instantly engaged with. The chemistry between Weston, Callum and Petra sizzles off the page, and leads to some very steamy scenes and sexy fun between the three of them. The storyline has some emotional twists and turns which kept me hooked and I love that the dogs also became characters themselves!

In this MMF romance, three is not a crowd, it's just right! Ariella Talix is a first time author for me, but I was intrigued by the synopsis. I jumped head first into Group Hug and I'm really glad I did. Fate and a touch of desperation bring the main characters together as roommates. Weston, Callum, and Petra, along with their lovable canine companions are pleasantly thrust together. This book has just the right amount of spice along with romance, humor, and a touch of fear, heartache, and loss. There were moments that shocked me, moments that angered me, and moments where I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. The characters were pretty realistic, believable, and definitely lovable and I found myself fully invested in their relationship and happiness with one another. Ariella Talix's world building was spot on. I could see the layout of Weston's house in Carmel in my mind, picture the Chicago landscape, and feel the love and affection between the main characters. I can't wait to read more books by Ariella Talix!

Group Hug by Arielle Talix, is a MMF romance that so proved sometimes three is just RIGHT! Weston is about to lose everything and he doesn’t want to lose his house, so he knows that he needs to rent rooms to stop from losing more. Callum and Petra both answer the ad for Weston seeking roommates and they are perfect. Weston, Callum, and Petra are all on different paths and none are looking for a relationship but the sparks fly with the three of them. I found myself not wanting to put this book down as I was in love with all three of these characters. I found that the book had a great amount of steam, spice, and three adorable dogs that also helped steal the show.

This author did an amazing job with character building, I felt like I wanted to befriend all three, as each had a story that I wanted to know more about, each are so different but so perfect for one another. I cant wait to see what else Arielle has in store for us and hope its more MMF!!! Great read for mature readers!

I am absolutely speechless after reading this book! I have enjoyed each book from this author, but this is definitely my favorite thus far! While this MMF read has plenty of steam and spiciness throughout the story, the author has also crafted a marvelous plot and well-developed characters as well. I giggled out loud at this book, but also felt like throwing it in anger at some points. The three main characters, Weston, Callum, and Petra are incredibly loveable and people you feel like would be great friends in real life. I’m also a dog lover, so obviously the fact that dogs are sprinkled throughout the book help a bit. There are a couple of characters that I have no lost love for, but they are minor and play their part well. I absolutely love the fact that the story is told from multiple points of view as you get a better feel for each character as they speak their mind. I highly recommend this book if you love spicy romances in the MMF genre! I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next!

"Group Hug" is an absolute delight—steamy, emotional, and packed with the kind of chemistry that sizzles off the page. Ariella Talix masterfully blends romance, personal growth, and heartfelt connection in this MMF story that had me hooked from start to finish.

Weston, Callum, and Petra are each dealing with their own challenges, and watching them navigate their new living arrangement while trying (and failing) to resist their attraction to one another was both thrilling and deeply satisfying. Weston’s struggle to rebuild his life, Callum’s dedication to his culinary dreams, and Petra’s determination to stand on her own make them all incredibly relatable characters. And when their undeniable connection finally comes together? Pure magic.

Talix doesn’t just deliver on the heat—though trust me, there’s plenty of that—she also gives us a heartfelt story about love, trust, and the beauty of found family. If you love poly romance with depth, humor, and a whole lot of spice, "Group Hug" is a must-read! I loved it!

Take three intelligent, talented, successful, beautiful people and put them together as roommates and the close proximity and insta-love feelings they all feel are going to bubble up and over! Lots of steam between the two men and one woman that goes in all directions so make sure you are up for an adventure when you select this book to read! On the surface, you could just dismiss this book at a glance as pure hot, hot, hot steam, but you would be doing yourself and the book a disservice. There is a complicated plot at play here with neglected childhood's, stalker ex's, cougar professors and so much more that makes this story much meatier than you would originally expect. It was a fun read for the steam, but also for an engaging plot. I'm quite excited to hear that there will be more coming from these characters and the people who surround them. This was a good story and I will definitely be looking for more from this author!

GROUP HUG is a contemporary romance about three people - Weston, Petra, and Callum - who find each other at a time when they need friends more than ever. Their attraction is instantaneous but they don't immediately act on it.

Whilst I enjoyed this story, it never really drew me in. I was always aware I was reading a book, instead of being immersed in the story as I like. It is incredibly low angst - I wish my problems were as easily sorted as ALL problems are here. A quick turn of the page and it's done. There are also multiple storylines throughout the book that could have easily become the main one if the focus was on it.

All in all, I enjoyed reading this cute and steamy story.
