Through hellish training, Arc became a hero — reaching the pinnacle of strength in the world of Arlas.
Arc was an ordinary young woman from Earth when she was summoned to an icy hell where she fought for her survival in the name of training to become a hero.
Now, after defeating the Overlord itself and achieving the status of hero, she leaves with the goal to enjoy her freedom. Arriving at Arlas, a fantasy world with magic and monsters, a world with numbers, Tiers, and Classes. A world governed by the System that summoned her. But she is not alone, there are other heroes, masters of their element, warped individuals that too have escaped their own hell. And they have their own agenda, from taking over the world to even killing other heroes.
But Arc isn’t any hero, she’s the one that mastered the element of the element of ice that can even freeze the sense of time itself. And when confronted with an incomprehensible task of broken letters — to fulfill her duties as a hero for the broken System — she makes her decision.
To live a normal life, fight whoever comes her way, and ignore whatever the delusional System says. As for the heroes? She will fight them too if they dare to stand in her way

This book started out really good and I was absolutely loving it in the beginning but without enough character development for my liking by the end of the book I only gave it three stars ⭐ it still was and OK but I was hoping for a bit more.
I found this book really enjoyable in the beginning. The characters were well thought out and interesting in their own ways. Then the middle and the ending of the story came and it was basically a physco fight fest. The hero wants to fight constantly and is just annoyed or angry constantly for no noticeable reason other than she is stronger so you should do what she says.
The ending also had a lot more grammatical errors than the beginning for some reason. These errors weren't enough to make anyone confused as to what was happening but they are there.
Dnf: Come on author I understand you give her ice powers but that doesn't mean she has to have the personality of an ice cube equal to say no personality. I would compare her to a robot but that would insult a robot. R2d2 had more personality in one beep than she does half of this book that I read. Before showing up in this world she was an art Major but she never once does art. What was the point of making her an art major. I wish I could get the time back that I took reading half of this book.
I really liked how the heroine was portrayed in this story, the support character were well written as well. But just have something against recurring villains...
Azrie's Arc the SS Tier Heroine was an OK entry in the LitRPG genre. I found it to be a solid and enjoyable read. Nothing special but it held my attention so it gets the thumbs up from me!
The story began with Arc, an ordinary young woman from Earth, being summoned into a brutal icy hell dimension. She was forced through intense training and combat and eventually mastered frost magic and defeated a powerful Overlord boss monster to reach the pinnacle of power as an 'SS Tier' hero (I was out of the loop on the RPG style Tier system but the story helpfully explained it as it went). The main plot kicked in after this ordeal as Arc arrived in the actual LitRPG world of Arlas. Arlas was a typical fantasy world with a typical LitRPG style magic all with levels and classes and a mysterious System entity that directed it. Already overwhelmingly powerful in this new world, thanks to her extensive training, Arc's initial desire was simply to enjoy her newfound freedom and live a little after how awful her time in the training world had been. However, she quickly discovered Arlas was populated by other summoned heroes, some with dangerous agendas, and ruled by a 'broken' System issuing confusing directives. Arc decide to ignore this hero nonsense and to live life on her own terms while still being ready to fiercely defend herself and fight any monster, hero, asshole, or other System related nonsense that got in her way.
I quite enjoyed this setup. The fact that Arc was already overpowered before the main adventure in Arlas began was a fun twist. It focusing the story on the consequences and navigation of that power rather than the climb itself. While the story's structure felt simple it was solidly constructed and executed effectively enough to keep me engaged.
A particular plus was the bond Arc formed with her friend, Salone, whom she encountered shortly after arriving in Arlas. Their interactions provided a necessary human connection and emotional grounding for Arc amidst the conflicts and her own immense power. I liked their dynamic, even though the story left it ambiguous whether their relationship was purely a deep platonic friendship or if it held the potential to develop into something romantic down the line. It was soooo anime-feeling in that regard lol. Tonally, the book definitely gave off a Young Adult vibes.
If there was one minor point of criticism, it was that some of the fight sequences towards the end of the book began to feel a bit repetitive. However, this wasn't a major flaw and didn't significantly detract from my overall positive experience. I’m hoping the sequel works harder on developing some non action driven happenings. I liked the action scenes we got but was feeling like they were getting a bit too repetitive towards the end of the tale.
All in all, Arc the SS Tier Heroine delivered an enjoyable and solid LitRPG adventure. I liked Arc and am definitely a fan of overpowered main characters so this worked for me even if everything was a little simplistic. It works to just imagine this as an anime world!
Rating: 3.5 Stars.
Audio Note: This was narrated by Rachel Leblang. She is not the best narrator I’ve listened to but she was OK.
Traumatized saviors, a System that is ill, and no clear answers all blend together to make a story I couldn't look away from. The beginning is full of Arc's transformation, which is emotionally sad, but understandable. I like how she connects with someone weaker right near her arrival. It sets her on a connected path. The heroes seem to have become parts of the virus, and "hero" doesn't mean a savior as one would expect. I am curious about how Arc will progress from where this ends, and the machinations of the one hero. Definitely a fascinating read.
So much potential but lost steam in the middle of the story. We love a main character that is overpowered. It's like Superman showing up in medieval times and punching a dragon. My main problem is the MC's sidekick and pretty much every other character. They all seem to be "weak" and have no real will in chasing power in a system world. In a system world, where you can identify and quantify you power progression. A system world where if you work hard enough, you automatically gain magic, skills and power if you put some effort. No, everyone wants to stay at "D" level and play it safe. Isekai-ing heros from earth makes sense, because they understand power and how valuable a system can be. Anyways, everyone from level A to F walks around with their mouth open wondering how a SS tier can be so powerful. What's even worse is the sidekick. Dumb as a rock. She sounds more like a low level peasant that eats dirt than an actual nobleman. Off to get a powerful "hermit" with great power when she is walking around with an SS tier superhero. Most of the time, people are being ignorant, stupid and dumb; asking ignorant stupid and dumb questions to a SS- tier person. Everyone keeps asking "who are you ?" Like a bunch of noisey busy body. Try to imagine people annoying and constantly demanding a demigod all their secrets like a gossiping old ladies. I think the story would have played better if the MC was just roaming around the world without the side-kick. The whole story is a lame version of Amelia the zero level hero, just poorly written. I recommend Azarinth Healer or Cherno Caster if you want to read about a bad ass female OC MC hero.
It was decent during the beginning, just like any other rpg novel, then I just got bored with the MC because she looses more of her personality and start doing things more selfishly and super biased. She just became a hypocrite, favoring one character and punishing people for hurting her favorite person, and calling them selfish and making them repent, while all out being a psychopath and killing people for no reason or really dumb justification. She outright became illogical moody and a psychopath with other lack luster tofu like personality. It seem like the author lack imagination halfway through the book so everything after is just the MC saying 1 thing while doing everything else that would mess up her plan. Why bother hiding your rank when you are just going to whip out your power every other day. There is no point in hiding, if she did not hide, she wouldn't have to kill so many people randomly. Make up your mind goddammit! And stop overthinking useless things and getting mad about it.

What a fun overpowered main character story. While still maintaining the "it's fun to fight, I'll just beat my way into being correct or getting what I want" Arc was a somewhat grounded character that isn't evil, just a little apathetic. All the machismo she encountered was handled properly for the world she's in. There was something about the writing that seemed to drift off here and there but overall I really enjoyed the start of this series.
This book was quite fun. The only problem is that it jumps between perspectives with little warning. You can follow these jumps pretty well, but they can be confusing. All in all, it reads more like a light novel. It's well worth the read.
I went into this book expecting to compare it heavily with Amelia, a book the author herself stated was the inspiration for this one. So I was quite pleased that although some of the ideas were similar the author took it in a whole different direction. The ending was a little... Strange but I'm interested to see how it pans out in the sequel.
If you picked up this book you should have an idea what follows underneath. It's great seeing a primary female cast and I loved the characters. Arc's personality is consistent and she has her own goals and ambitions that develop as she learns more about the world. Will be reading book 2.
Reads like a badly translated anime retelling. The action and plot are good, but the worldbuilding is almost entirely missing. Grammar and phrasing are pretty strange and often questionable - there is a lot of word repetition, unusual terms that come up over and over, etc. There are also virtually no descriptions of anything in the book.
Awesome start to this series. I read the author’s other work and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. I do like the majority of the book is told in Arc’s point of view, but it was nice to hear other points of view every now and then. I don’t feel the way it was done detracted from the flow of the story. Off to the next. Well done.
This book is a pretty fun read. It's not very deep. It doesn't deeply examine its characters or the political or magical systems that control their worlds. The action is snappy and enjoyable and not to complex.
That's not too say it's bad. It executes on the premise extremely cleanly.
This has the battle mania of Salvos and the ambivalence of Amelia the hero. The combination leaves the character rather rudderless. The story lacks any solid direction and the day to day is boring.
This book was awesome I enjoyed every chapter and was finished with it and wanting more in record time!! Plenty of fighting and if you like an OP me this is right up your alley I can’t wait for the next installment!!
Arc is definitely frosty and fierce, and has an interesting character build. This was very fast paced. I didn’t want to put it down. Arc is going to kick some more bad guy butt in her next adventure and I can’t wait to read it!
The story was micro adventures with no rest in between that I felt like a scripted growth story with no realism of a world with others chacthers impacting besides the protagonist just walking into one battle after another
Starts off with an SS Tier heroine being all overpowered and stuff, ends with an SS Tier heroine being even more overpowered and stuff. In between she wanders about fighting for her very very close friend which entirely failed to meet my expectations and evolve into a romance. Poo. Maybe in book 2?
This book needed better editing, but the storyline and character development weren’t brilliant either. I found the punctuation errors (particularly the frequent comma splices) to be quite jarring to read.
I love the litrpg genre and have a very high tolerance for the lower quality stories, but this was just too much. None of the characters feel real at all. None of their actions make any sense.
I suffered through about half of this before I couldn't take it anymore
I really like this book series and I will be reading the next book. The characters are really good and the setting is really interesting. I highly recommend this series.
While there were a few grammatical issues they weren't so bad as to detract from my enjoyment of the book. Fun premise and likeable characters. Can't wait for book two!
DNF: I genuinely gave this a try but 75 pgs in I had to stop. Dialogue was terrible and the characters are pretty one dimensional. I love the litrpg/isekai genre but this was not it.
