Caught. Caged. Claimed.

After I’m Claimed by a giant alien demon from hell, I think I’m a goner. But when he takes me to another prisoner’s cell instead of his own, I fear the worst. He tells me I’m not only his fated mate but that we’ve enjoyed a passionate love affair for countless reincarnations… and he’s determined to make me remember them all.

I rebel against his tyrannical rules but he’s determined to protect me, no matter the cost. And when I discover he’s tormented by inner demons and consumed by the need to control, we embark on a passionate love affair.

When he touches me, I yearn for more.
When he kisses me, I surrender in gratitude.
When he undresses me, I ache to scream his name.
And when he makes me fly, I soar higher than ever before.

When he warns me to keep my distance, it only makes me want him more. I discover my true desires, as well as the dark secrets he keeps hidden away from prying eyes…

Brute in the Crypt is a full-length, standalone alien sci-fi romance. It features a possessive alpha alien in intense, steamy scenes with his human mate. There are no cliff-hangers or cheating, and a happily ever after is guaranteed!

Abducted, alone and afraid. Is one master any better than another? It is when you find your fated mate. I enjoyed reading this series. the is lots of action, pain, love, and emotions in this series but it is worth the read.

I picked up this book expecting a steamy alien romance like those I’d read by Tammy before. Yes, there were aliens, but they were virtually unnecessary to the main theme of this book, which was reincarnation. There were certain sci-fi elements too, and at a few points I had the nostalgic feeling that I was in an old episode of Star Trek, right down to the streaking star lights as the main characters fly off at warp drive. So, the main thrust of the story is the eternal love between Isla and Thillak, which has transcended time, as they keep meeting and falling in love through countless reincarnations. I was a bit confused by the seeming reincarnations into different species, where alien Thillak appeared to have been a Roman Patrician at one point and Isla had previously always been green. Then there are the numerous anomalies I couldn’t help noticing given the sci-fi setting. I found it incongruous that the first thing Thillak found to wield as a weapon was a wrench, not once but two or three times! Staying at an inn on an alien planet, they are given “a pair of keys with a wooden tag bearing the number 7”. What is this, the wild west? Do shuttles have wipers for rain? You don’t really get much of that in space, but I guess it does come in handy. But I don’t want to be petty. Much like episodes of the previously mentioned Star Trek series, parts of this book are brilliant and parts are not so good. The title and blurb for the book were very misleading and although it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t what I was expecting at all.

'In that moment, we became each other’s anchor in a tumultuous sea of uncertainty.'

'His words weren’t just threats; they were laws being laid down.'

“Who are you, Thillak?” I found myself asking, my voice barely above a whisper.
He took a moment before replying, his gaze distant. “Someone who will do everything to ensure you’re safe.”

I absolutely loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I was fascinated at the concept of reincarnated lovers. Thillak and Isla are soulmates- always drawn together despite forces trying to keep them apart. I was really drawn to Thillak myself. *swoon* I loved him and Isla together. The story was intriguing, exciting, and suspenseful. This is definitely one of my favorites from Tammy Walsh. I highly recommend picking his one up! 5 stars.

Time after time

This was a while different take on what I thought this was going be. But I should have known because Tammy never writes according to what you think...and I love it.

Isla and Thillak are caught up on a cyclical reincarnation of love, betrayal, friendship and recognition. Each time they meet the memories come back but they are kept apart because of fate's Balance wanting to keep everything as they thought it should be. But this reincarnation is different form the way they look, to how they meet, to the way they solve the problems..and they realize they have more friends along the way than they realized.

Tammy has a way of drawing you in and making you a part of the story....and I LOVE IT!!.

Thillak (H) leads his criminal organization from within Ikmal Prison but feels like something is missing from his life. Looking at a picture of the new prizes for the pit fighters in the prison, he feels an instant connection with a new human prize, Isla (H). Thillak has memories of past lives with Isla, his love throughout countless reincarnations, though she has no memories of any of this. As Isla and Thillak spend time together, their connection strengthens, and he realizes that they are in danger of being parted again. Thillak sets a plan in motion to escape Ikmal so they can fight against a force determined to destroy their love for one another. Hot and steamy fated mates romance with lots of angst, danger, adventure, and mystery.

Well written, full of hot steamy scenes, secrets, intrigue, reincarnation, love, romance, adventure, danger, mystery, possibly some time travel. Has a fabulous storyline/plot filled with emotions. Thillak and Isla have been a couple thru history but are always separated by some force. He has to keep finding her but this time he must her to remember their past together. Lucky that they keep finding each other. Some time travel mixed with space travel, all the makings of a good book. Would strongly recommend to everyone.

This story tells of Isla and Thillak's love over many lifetimes, and how The Balance always has separated them. They find each other in a prison, escape and as they travel, memories return like in an old house; "In that instant, amidst the echoes of our shared history, we were once again whole, two halves of a timeless love story, forever bound by destiny."
Friends take them in briefly and they talk about the universe and love and The Balance: "The Universe might strive for balance , but love? Love has a power all it's own. " A great story with love, despair, secrets, danger, mystery, and steam.

Unique journey

As book 5 in the series, I was a bit taken back at the very unique direction that this story took. Thillak and Isla are re-introduced/introduced to us within the context of the prison planet world. Very quickly the type of connection between these characters is revealed to be very different than other novels in the series. With the idea of balance within the universe and notions of fated mates, and past lives, it did take me a while to get my head around all the things that were happening. Although different, it was a very satisfying fantasy story with a wonderful message at the end.

She was abducted from Earth, and awakens in the Ikmal prison, not knowing what happened to her. Then Isla is added to a Prize pool (for pit fighters), and selected out by an alien. Thillak instantly feels a bond with Isla, then discovers she mean more to him, because they have a connection through past lives. Can Thillak keep Isla safe, from the danger around them? The prison is no place for Isla, can Thillak free them? I enjoyed Isla and Thillak's story, the challenges they faced, the connection they had and the danger/drama of their story (and the power of their love).

Thillak is a brutal, dangerous, huge alien kingpin ruling his empire from the prison planet. Feeling as though he is waiting for something he knows that is the case when he sees the picture of Isla, one of the new prizes. What follows is a sweet adventure.

Isla goes from walking in the park to incarcerated in a frightening alien prison as a prize. Chosen for the first time she truly believes that this is the end only to be taken to a cell with a massive, terrifying but oddly comforting alien. He is gentle, caring and protective.

A sweet roller-coaster of a love story through time.

This was a great story. There are lots of steam, secrets, reincarnation, love, romance, danger, adventure, intrigue, mystery, passion, and love. Love the storyline and how Thillak remembers all the lives and loves and their loss. Isla is abducted from Earth and Thillak is determined to make her remember and believe in their love. Will they be able to stay together this time or with they have to try again at another time and another life? Fantastic story.

This book was different than any of the other books I have read from this author. It was about Isla, a human, being abducted and brought to a prison moon as a Prize for the Champion. She was given to a big brute of a guy in one of the cells. He protected her and they fought their way through many dangerous episodes. They fought to make love free across the galaxies. Not really my kind of book. I liked her other books better. This one was too different, confusing and long winded.

"Two souls, intertwined across time and space"

I don't really know how to describe this beyond the line above. It's about love that finds a way through eternity. There is action, suspense and beauty. Thillak and Isla are true soul mates who are on the run from a force that wants to tear them apart. There is a beautiful purity to their love that touches the heart deeply. Tammy Walsh has built an interesting world containing a complex story. Very well written.

This was a unique story that was well written and full of intrigue, secrets, reincarnation, love, danger, mystery and so much more. Isla and Thillak are destined to be together over and over and each new life, Thillak has to find Isla. This time he also has to get her to remember their pasts. As they work towards getting off the prison planet, expect to get caught up in their adventures to see if they can get their HEA in this lifetime and keep balance in the universe :D

An engaging well written story that kept me interested as I read the romantic adventures of Thillak and Isla. Thillak and Isla are soul mates who meet and get separated through their lifetime. Can Thillak make Isla remember them being in love? Will this time be different, or will they be separated again? I loved the characters, and the storyline was romantic and heartfelt with action in this engaging alien romance that I'd received a copy and that I volunteer to review.

Love conquers all in this action, danger and adventure packed story. Isla and Thillak slowly remember past lives together. Their fated mates in these past lives as well as now, but there's a force trying to separate them. It's their love and its memories that will save them from the fate they have experienced time and again in the past.

I'm reading the other reviews for this tale and I feel a bit like a jerk, but this tale just didn't grab me the way others of Tammy's tales have. Long, long lost love - it's a beautiful concept, but, in this case, it just didn't work for me. There have only been a couple of Tammy's tales that didn't grab on, and this just happens to be one of them.

I have to say that. I was almost shocked by the turn that Isla and Thilak's story took, because I just didn't see it coming. I mean, yeah fated mates, okay, but the rest? That's what made this story truly unique and captivating. I just don't have the words to say just how much I really loved it! Bravo!.

This book is different than any other book I've read of Tammy Walsh. But it's not bad. It's basically about Thillak and Isla. They've been together through different lifetimes. Some things were a little confusing for me.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is an unusual story where Thillak and Isla are separated many times and reincarnated to try again. I like that their love was strong enough in the end to finally defeat the Balance and get their life together.

Something was missing but Thillak couldn’t quite figure it out, but fate has something in store for him. Isla, abducted, feels a connection and destiny with him, but doesn’t understand why. This is their story of their love that transcends time.
