Sweeter than I thought it would be (which is a good thing). I would recommend this book to those who like naughty versions of hallmark movies, secrete cinnamon roll mmcs, and one bed trope.

I wanted to read a figure skating romance and decided to give this a try.

Spencer Broten is not sure what is next for him. He expected that hockey would be his life and he loved it with a passion but two knee injuries and not doing well on the European side of it cause him to return home. An opportunity to help rehab an injured figure skater turns into something more. Sierra Marie Avila is twenty one and similar to Spencer, thought figure skating wa her life until her injury. She is very stubborn and bratty at first when her coach and parents share that Spencer is coming to help.

He creates a fitness program for her along with diet changes to assist her to heal. Hearing some tough news causes him to announce a road trip to a training facility in California that he thinks will benefit her. Along the way, their feelings emerge and they spend alot of time together in a small town, Las Vegas and California. There definitely was a forbidden aspect to this as he is suppose to be teaching and guiding her.

As for the extent of her injury, she was wearing a brace, uses crutches and did feel pain at the start. Whilst he feels a twinge at times when he skates.

I was not sold on them being a couple but I liked the scenes on the ice. The way the author wrote about the psychology of an athlete was interesting and how they come back from an injury. Spencer has alot to sort through mentally as he stays away from the hockey world. I was wondering what he was working as at the end once they get together and he becomes involved in her training.

Tropes: One bed, dislike to love, age gap

I read this story when it was called Bitter Edge, and then I read it again as Interference so I can honestly tell y'all that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this story, especially with some things added in. Spencer had a career ending injury since no one would take a chance on him after he rehabbed that knee, so he's feeling very lost. Cierra is a figure skater who injured herself, so Spencer is called in to help her. It doesn't start out very well since she's a bit difficult about pushing through to finally achieve her Olympic dream instead of giving up. From the jump the sparks were flying since their interactions were fiery but Spencer kept at it, and slowly they changed to friends but with those sparks, it was only a matter of time before they wouldn't be denied. This was an amazingly emotional story about never giving up, even if your dreams may or may not end up looking different. Seriously, y'all need to experience this fantastic sports read so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is Spencer and Cierra’s story. Spencer’s NHL dream shattered and ended due to an injury, while Cierra is a figure skater who is trying to recover from an injury. Spencer is brought in by her coach to help Cierra, and he takes her on an impromptu road trip to rehab her injury, but she is at a crossroads and is not sure if skating is her dream anymore. The sparks fly between these two, and the close proximity of a road trip has the lines becoming blurred regarding their relationship.
This is a well written story which is an emotionally charged, enemies / lovers’ story, with close proximity, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, family, friendships, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, thought provoking, and heartfelt, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
