Harry takes us back to Coral Canyon and we visit with the Young family. Harry is not the teenager we knew from years ago. He is now a country music sensation but he is tired of the business and wants to move back home. He is under contract to do a third album and writes all his songs. Except while on a visit back home he meets a cop named Belle and after just talking with her some he wanted to take her out on a date. But he is going back to Nashville to record his last album and she finds out she is going under cover and can't even tell him where she will be.
There is so much happening in the Young family. Harry is in the wedding of his cousin Bryce and Codi and his aunt Kassie and Reggie. He also has a Leftover party and video night. That is the kids born to the Young brothers and their first wives and now all have remarried and have small kids making the older kids feel left out. They know their fathers love them, but, their new families seem to need more attention than they can give their older kids or gave them when they were small.
The love story of Harry and Belle is magic in the making. Trace is concerned that Belle is older than Harry but, Harry says he never felt for someone like he does Belle. They can all see the love Harry has for Belle. Belle decides she would like to write songs for singers in Nashville like Harry is going to do. And Harry will do anything to help her make her dreams come true.
This one really did it for me. I think it’s my favorite Coral Canyon book so far and that is not a small thing because I have liked and enjoyed all of them!! In some series, a book might take place in the same town as the one before but in each story there isn’t much of an overlap. I really enjoy how Liz writes each story highlighting a member of the Young family but still includes and grows the characters from previous books.
Harry and Belle. Wow. A country music star and a sheriffs department missing person investigator. Their story felt more uncertain to me than some of the others; life, work, time and location all big obstacles in front of them. And yet…. Their lives keep intersecting. Interesting and entertaining. You’ll have to read it to appreciate it. But here are some highlights and favorite parts: ~their video phone dates. ~how he follows her on vacation. I liked the addition of Adam. The airport scene was traumatic but completely understandable. ~the rawness of Harry’s pain after that happened. I liked how they both decided it wasn’t the right time to be in a relationship and that they were willing to place a hold on things. ~family prayer before big events (or as needed). ~one hundred percent ~male cousin guitar concert
And then, for anyone who loves someone….
“I wish I could have met you sooner simply so I could love you longer.”
What a wonderful return to Coral Canyon and the Young family. Harry is a country music star but he is finding it isn't what he had hoped it would be. While home visiting his family he has a chance meeting with Belle. While the two have an immediate connection the time is just not right for them. They have other obligations that they both need to meet before they are ready for a relationship. This book is so full of life and living that it has two parts. We are treated to the cameos of several of the second generation Youngs and see that several are struggling with where they fit in their family. I loved every minute of this book and it was wonderful. I could not stop reading and at the same time was sad when it was over. I loved how Harry worked so hard to make his cousins feel a sense of belonging, that was very special. Harry has faith and he loves big. I really like the relationship between him and his father and their love and adoration for each other. Belle was special and had to learn to trust herself and that Harry was authentic in his feelings for her. Their story is sweet and fun to read. This book was just wonderful!
Every single new book is my new favorite. If you know Harry from other books, or if this is your firtst time meeting Harry, I think you will LOVE this book. I did not want to put it down. When I say it has all the feels, I mean it. I feel Liz did a wonderful job filling in any back story that you might have missed if you haven't read the previous Coral Canyon books, BUT if you have this book is extra sweet and full of nuggets from the whole family! Harry has always been one of my favorites, along with Brice. So this book was extra special for me, but the way the author describes Harry's feelings (along with other kids) as being the add on, oh it is powerful and happens. I can so appreciate this. AND Belle is the sweetest girl ever for Harry, just perfect and their struggles are REAL, her's AND his. No, this is a MUST read, and I loved it and did not want it to end. I cannot wait until the next one.
I absolutely loved reading Harry. It was great to learn about the amazing young man he has grown up to be. While a big country music star, he is still a humble, kind and faithful young man who wants nothing more than to be happily married a simple life in Coral Canyon. Belle is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She has no clue Harry is when she first meets him, so her first impression of him wasn’t tainted by her being star struck. They make such an amazing couple. I also love how the author brings in other characters from previous books. I loved learning how the older kids from previous marriages feel like they are the “left out” kids. They feel like they really don’t have a part in the Young Family. By the end of the book Harry learns this isn’t true. Hopefully in other books the other kids will learn this as well.
6 stars! This was a lengthy read. A great read! Bryce was the start of the second generation but this book really dives into it fully. So many chapters are from the cousins and it’s just setting up the rest of this series beautifully. I’m getting really excited for the next books! Since this book is lengthy, all of those chapters did not take away from Harry and Belle. This Christian cowboy romance features a celebrity country music star and a law enforcement heroine. Broken into two parts, this book has a long distance relationship for our MCs and some hurdles to overcome. This book is full of faith and family - so full. I also appreciated the side line of mental health that was touched on a few times. It was an amazing read and I want to have a copy on my shelf!
I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Oh, I love the Youngs!! This story of Harry and Belle is sweet and beautiful. As they maneuver through the timing of their relationship, and God brings them back together after several months apart, they find their feelings for each other have not lessened, but strengthened. I love that each book is not just about the main character, but the whole big, loud, loving Young family. It is so interesting to see all of the children from their father's first marriages struggling with the same sense of being overlooked, not needed, and like add ons. Harry's desire to encourage them all is just a revelation of the love he has for family and what he has learned from his father. I loved this book.
A family of country stars that only want to be regular people who share their Music
Young’s are a large family with country music in common and a love for a small Wyoming town they share as they come and go. They have several generations living and trying to share their lives. But the ones in this story are the ones from the first marriages and somehow they are the ones feeling side lined and sort of left out as their fathers have remarried and started new families. They love the new younger brothers and sisters but still have to learn the facts that they are still loved and are part of the family. To find the roots they need to full fill their lives. This is one of their stories!
All 10 books of the Young family, it wasn’t a book you just read, it is one where you are part of the family. A large, loud but fun family. In each book, you were not just reading about the name of the book, they kept the whole family involved. You felt the happiness, the love, the hard times along with the heart braking times, them finding not just true love but a soul mate and best friend. You felt what they felt as the family your heart was with their heart. You was part of the young family. So honestly if you enjoy books as I do where you are part of the book, these are a must read book as most of Liz Isaacson books are. Also they let you know God is 1st. Pray and live by how he guides you and life is so much more better. God bless and happy reading..
Wow! This book had me laughing and crying. A very well-written, deeply emotional book. I cried healing tears with Bailey, Belle, and Codi. I love revisiting Coral Canyon, and getting to know the stories of the “forgotten Young’s” (spoiler, they are NOT forgotten. They are truly seen, and I love to see the way they bond and band together) All of this is woven throughout the sweet love story of Harry and Belle. I love how these characters have become my friends over time, and I feel like I’ve become part of the Young family. I can’t wait to see Harry and Belle’s wedding, and what’s in store for Adam and Joey in the next book!
I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Country Singing Star Harry Young wants to retire from singing and recording. He meets Belle while he’s home in Wyoming while she is investigating a missing person case. They keep in touch and “date” by video call until she goes undercover. They meet again in an airport after he retires and begin dating. She had a failed country music career before, but would still like to be a songwriter. This book is a great addition to the Young family series. Liz is great at family interactions and writing about the feelings and emotions of her characters.
Wonderful addition to the series! This story features a second generation member of the Young family, Harry. Harry has always been talented in writing music as well as performing but now that he is a country star, he has a longing of family and the small town charm of Coral Canyon. Meeting the cute missing persons investigator, Belle, on a visit made that feeling even more prominent. The highs and lows of their courtship are highlighted along with updates to the rest of the Young families of Coral Canyon. Though the book is a part of a series it can easily be read as a standard. I highly recommend the book.
I’ve read every book in this series (waiting for Joey) and I love them. Reading about Harry and the “extra” kids rescued touched my heart. It’s real even when the parents don’t recognise the feeling that children of divorced parents have. I’ve loved how Harry and Belle’s relationship developed slowly even though their feelings were passionate. I feel as if I actually know the characters as real people. This book is highly recommended for anyone looking for an enjoyable and engaging story. I actually found myself praying the same prayers along with the characters. Please keep more coming!
I really love the Coral Canyon books and how they've continued into the second or middle generation. Harry was no exception. A story about coming home and coming into your own, and about the right timing. Belle has a lot going on as well and we see both of them grow as well as growing towards each other. We also get to see peeks at Bailey, Boston, Cash, Joey, and others. Depression mentioned. Undercover work also mentioned. Clean. A wonderful part of an ongoing saga. Looking forward to the next book already.
This book is so good! Harry has grown up and finally made it. He is a very talented, young, popular country music star. He’s a great guitarist and writer but what he really wants is to go home to Coral Canyon and continue writing but for others so he doesn’t have to travel. It’s really funny how he meets Belle. She has no idea who he is—this sleepy cowboy without a shirt, who is sorta living in his parents basement for a while and he has a job but not working now? Sounds fishy! You will love his sweet nature and how he loves all the younger kids and wants to include them. Belle is looking for a career change and doesn’t really know about the glamour that follows Harry but she is really drawn to him. I laughed, cried, and staid up too late reading this one. I love all the family dynamics, how they all love each other and how they all seek God’s will in their lives. Don’t miss this sweet, inspirational contemporary romance!
I’m trying to figure out how to convey how amazing this book is without spoilers! Let’s just say that if you have been following the Young family for any amount of time, this book really opens up the storylines for the characters we met as small children who have now grown into adults. In some cases, things will come full circle, and I was literally in tears watching it happen!
Harry and Belle have a fabulous story and the side stories enhance it so beautifully. Liz is a master storyteller who makes you want to linger in Coral Canyon!
Romance, sweet, contemporary, Christian, cowboy, country music; series but stand alone read Harry and Belle’s story intermingled with others in the young family, particularly Harry’s cousins, was a young guy, older woman (about 6/7 years) romance. Sweet emotions, some separation, and then figuring out how to be normal with celebrity. Lots of small moments, changes, character development and issues, but also the sweetness from their honest hearts and genuine emotions for each other. LI always gets it right.
I felt like I was at a carnival while reading this book about Harry & Belle. Sometimes it was a merry go round, then a tilt a whirl, a roller coaster and finally got ride down the lazy river. I absolutely loved this book just like I do all of Liz Isaacson’s books. The family’s are just so real and make you want to be a part of their lives. I laughed and cried a lot while reading this book and loved the spiritual references throughout the story. I extremely highly recommend this book.
I absolutely loved this book. Harry and Belle are such a sweet couple with so much chemistry. I so enjoyed reading about their journey. And to make this book even better I got to read about other family members and see how their lives have changed, such a beautiful, heartfelt, emotional book that I didn’t want to put down. So full of real-life feelings by the characters, some of which I have also felt in my life. This is a book you don’t want to miss, a must read!
What a sweet story! There were places again, in this book that were highlighted while I was reading the book. The way Harry helped Belle in her trying again to get her songs sung instead of singing them herself, was amazing. There were so many beautiful places in the book that this author has again added to the story. The weaving of the other characters stories, again brought the book together. Wonderful Job!
I absolutely love this series and all the Youngs. Harry and Belle's story is awesome. I do enjoyed watching these two fall in love on the pages. But this story is so much more than these two. We get to see what's going on with the rest of the Youngs and there's a lot happening. I love how this author shows her characters grow within this family and as a family. A wonderful read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I loved reading Harry and Belle's story. Harry is a talented country music star who writes and then performs his own songs. I cringe at his experiences traveling which led to him getting a personal assistant, Adam. I love when Adam "cleared the deck" for Harry and Belle to have a minute. That is a good friend. Harry encourages Belle to be brave and I admire her bravery. Belle and Harry bring out the best in one another and I think that should be the goal.
Harry was definitely worth the wait. I laughed and I cried reading portions of Harry’s and Belle’s story. I absolutely boohooed reading Joey’s life crisis. Liz writes with such passion and heartfelt emotion! I’m a lifetime fan!!! Can’t wait to read Joey’s story. And so many more of the characters we’ve met and grown to love and crave their HEA story as well. Keep them coming Liz!! You have a magical gift. Thank you for sharing it!
Harry and Bell are two complete different personalities. They meet by accident. She is a missing person investigator and shows up at Harry's parents house. Harry is there alone and answers the door. He is immediately interested in her. Thus begins their story.
Also, you read about other Young members and how their lives are progressing. This is a very interesting and enjoyable story. Very hard to put the book down.
I have loved all of Liz’s cowboy series that I have read but there is something really magical about the Young Family series. Bar none, this is my favorite series. Now that she’s writing about the middle generation I certainly hope she keeps it up with rest of the teenagers. This family feels to me as though I’m some small part of it and I don’t want it to end!
Yes! Another fantastic Young family story! I loved Harry & Belle and when they finally got the timing right for their love story🤎. Beautifully written filled with faith and being seen when you feel invisible. Loved Harry’s heart for the ‘island’ cousins who don’t quite feel like they belong. Cannot wait for Adam & Joey’s story!
I’ve enjoyed all the books about this wonderful musical family - in fact, I just re-read all of them while I waited for this one - and I think this is the best one yet. It made me laugh and it made me cry, and I’m so glad there’s another book (and hopefully more) coming.
What a great book if you love the Young Brothers. So much fun to rediscover them through the next generation. Loved watching Harry and Belle grow and become more confidant in themselves and one another. Especially fun if you know the other Young brothers and their kids. If you enjoy books about Country music and cowboys, you'll love it.
I’m at the point of reading this series where I feel like I really know this incredible family. To see the next generation grow up continuing their lives while intertwining all the family staying true to each individual proves Liz to be a brilliant writer. Don’t miss a single story because each one is so special.
This book's main character might be Harry, but you keep track of all the other members of the Young family and what they are going through. I really like that because it shows them as a family. It also shows the struggles they are having and how they work through them. Good clean romance.
