Amelia is a young artist who takes her art box everywhere she goes. When she visits her grandma for a sleepover, she realizes she forgot her art supplies at home! What will Amelia do? Great book idea!

To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would like the book based off of the title. But I was mistaken! This is such a cute story. It shows children how the world is your canvas. Love it.

inspires creativity

This book is an excellent tool for inspiring children to take in the world around them and then express themselves through art, using what they find. A wonderful holiday activity to read the book and then spend the day creating.

My 4yr old son absolutely loved this book. He said "I liked Amelia's creation" when we finished the book. He even kept saying "I'm going to make a dinosaur I'm going to use some buttons." I guess I am going to need to get some loose parts for some new found creations. Great job to the author, I can see this book being a real inspiration for many children to think outside the box.

An inspiring story!

The author has a magical way of making everyday items come alive, inspiring young minds to see the world around them in a new light. The story not only encourages imaginative play but also emphasizes the value of resourcefulness and the limitless possibilities of creativity. The vibrant illustrations add an extra layer of charm to the narrative, making it an engaging and enjoyable read for both children and parents. Amelia lived to make art.
She had forgotten to take her supplies on her visit to Grandma's house.
How could she create beautiful pictures without paints and crayons?
Grandma explained that all she needed was around her for art surrounding them.
Amelia began to explore and found pieces like a puzzle to form and build her pictures with.
She used leaves, sticks, feathers, rocks, flower petals, buttons, cloth, etc.
There were so many things to use.
Her imagination became endless.

“Oh my God, look at this book, it’s so cool!” Those were my 9-year-old's exact words while reading Amelia’s Loose Part Art. We both loved the vibrant illustrations and sweet story. The book is well-written with nice rhythm and repetition. Best of all, my daughter was inspired to create right away! As a parent, I particularly loved the suggestions at the back of the book. Angela Odusanya knocked it out of the park with her debut children’s book!

I am a Kindergarten Teacher and have used Amelia's Loose Part Art in my classroom throughout the year. Such a beautiful story about a young artist who loves to create and discovers a new way of making art, using loose parts all around her. This story has sparked interest and motivation in my students to explore, design, and create amazing works of art using loose parts. I will continue to use it in my program and encourage all educators to read this inspiring story to their classes!

Great story and terrific resource
