When she steps off the plane and into my charge, I know she will be the temptation I can't resist.

Years ago, I retreated from the world to run a school for wayward girls. My work has only served to solidify my belief that females are unholy, lying, cheating creatures and my celibacy has never been tested.

Until Kitty arrives. The second our eyes meet, my vows begin to crumble. Dark desires from the past rise inside me, begging for release upon her lush curves and dimpled cheeks. I will mark her as mine and teach her the meaning of devotion.

She will call me Father at first, but before long, she will know me only as Daddy. I will risk everything to make her mine. But, when she finds out who I really am, the vows we made to each other are tested and if it takes moving heaven and earth to get her back...

I will.

Author’s Note: When Kitty’s parents send her away to stay with her stepbrother where he’s the headmaster of a very special church school she has no idea her wild child ways are about to be tamed by the ultimate holy-moly bad boy. It’s forbidden fruit and juicy cherry picking from these dual first timers on an altar of sin you won’t soon forget!

Wanting What’s Wrong Series: Step right up if you want to get down with some "No, no, we can't, it's so wrong." action! Enjoy all books in the series as standalones.

Since I was a little girl, I’ve made up stories. I would lay in my bed at night and before I knew what a trope was, I would make up these trope filled stories. Boy sees girl, boys falls for girl, boy saves girl….happily ever after. As I got older, the stories turned steamier and more intricate, but the basics never changed.

Now, my books are still full of romance but the naughty bits are naughtier, my hero’s are obsessed alpha types and my heroines are quirky, real women who come in all shapes and sizes.

So, sit back, banish the real world and get lost in some over the top romance with a heaping helping of hot. xoxoxo

Safe but (too much OW backstory that is confusing)
No cheating
OW in his past that was his first sexual awakening, having her call him daddy, and he was opening up to her with his dom kink thinking she enjoyed it, but she called him a freak and other women called him a freak for it. She meant a lot to him it seems which I hate knowing that! It made the heroine second best.
OM the h kissed in the past, but it was sloppy and she hated it.
Separation when Kitty ran away when she discovered Martin is her step brother, maybe a few days.
Hero pushes away the poor heroine too much, so much that she left.
HEA
Heroine virgin
Hero 33 years old did not have his dick touched by a woman. Celibate for 10 years not even masturbating. He is a virgin, but he has a story with an OW that confused me which I will explain later.
The story starts off with a conversation he has with a friend of his. His friend says to him,
“You may not have enjoyed the company
of the ladies in school, but you sure enjoyed the company of Johnnie
Walker.”
I loved this because Dani Wyatt promised us first timers, so him not wanting women in college I really started to enjoy the story, until I didn't. He did not indulge in school nor was he interested in women during his 10 years after he gave his vows when he was 23 years old, even when students would expose himself to him, and would flirt, he was not interested. But he did feel attraction and lust he would keep at bay, so I don't know which it is. Either they made him horny or they didn't. But there was a time when he was assistant professor, where a woman changed his life, and it is not our heroine.
He meets our heroine, Kitty, his step sister at the airport, and instalust style, he falls for her. She really takes a tumble and he catches her, one hand on her boob, His inner monologue says,
"I haven’t touched anyone like that in a decade. Or been touched."
Again with this ambiguity. Does he mean HE didn't sexually touch an OW in ten years? Maybe the OW mentioned that is the catalyst to his "no romance, no love, no sex because it was his downfall in the past"? He may be a virgin never having received pleasure but that doesn't mean he didn't give pleasure to an OW we will talk about later. As for him being touched, Kitty didn't touch his dick, she had her hands on his chest, so when he means that HE hasn't been touched by a woman I believe he meant in general and not sexually.
During his time in University, another woman, a student called him a pervert when he confessed his sexual wants, thinking they are on the same page. This part of his past is ambiguous (specifically the timeline) and frustrating, also killed the romance for me.
"A memory flashes back into my mind. Being called a pervert by a girl I’d
trusted, the first person I ever allowed to see that side of me. The side that
likes to play at being dominant and caring. The first girl who ever called me
daddy, and in the moment seemed to love it, but everything changed when it
was over. She didn’t want me, she wanted good grades. I was the professor’s
assistant."
There had to have been a relationship between the two, otherwise why confess to her at all and indulge. He was horny for her, attracted to her sharing with her a part of him that is intimate. It got him kicked out of the grad program, but I don't know how far he went with her.
He says this to Kitty, our heroine, when he makes her cum with a vibrator,
“You’re as untouched as they come baby. And, I’ll tell you
a little secret. I’m going to be the man that takes this tight little pussy on its
maiden voyage but what you don’t know is, you’ll be taking my dick on the
same one.”
Her body stiffens as I rake my teeth down her neck making her moan.
“You’re? A…”
“My dick has never touched a woman. You’re going to be my first. I didn’t
think I cared until you fucking walked into that baggage claim and lit me
up."
Ok, so great! No woman touched his dick and his dick didn't touch a woman. But THIS is what RUINS the scene and the book,
“You know what it’s like not touching a woman for ten fucking years?”
“It was fucking easy. I never fucking cared. I could have gone
my whole fucking life without pussy AGAIN, until this one."
What else could it mean when he says, 'I could have gone without pussy AGAIN' If he had never touched a woman's pussy before the heroines? So it must have been when he was assistant professor (timeline wise after college and before he was 23 years old since he is 33 and was celibate a decade). The thing that confused me is that other than that, he never talked about being physically intimate with an OW, only masturbating when he was younger. (He didn't even touch himself for 10 years), but I want to know when this OW he came into play. And then this,
"I’ve not had the broadest experience with clits, but hers deserves a fucking
metal. I can’t wait to get that hard little length of her in my mouth and suck
it off like it deserves."
Again with ambiguous statement. Did he or didn't he have experience pleasuring a woman??
Was he talking about all the clits his horny students flashed him, or was he talking about the OWs clit he pleasured, that got him in trouble from the University?
(He describes to his friend a student legs open showing him her pussy, and when he asks the hero if it worked he says this),
“Did it fuck. I wrote a six-page oratory of her offenses while she was here.
No amount of consequences or encouragement moved her. She knows the
power of what she has between her legs, at least on most men, and she will
undoubtedly continue to use it to her advantage.”
They all try to use what they have to get what they want. But I’m not
buying what they are selling."
So two things. One I am glad it doesn't do anything to him, but what does "Did it fuck" mean? There are so many typos and phrases that don't make sense that a part of me is wishing that the sentence,
"I could have gone
my whole fucking life without pussy AGAIN, until this one." had the word "Again" as mistake or a typo, because that would change at least a big part of the story. If he said 'I could have gone my whole fucking life without pussy, until this one." It would make the story SO much better! At least it would clarify things on his history!
He says that his prejudice about females was after he was ordained, so abstained from sex. So since he was celibate not even masturbating, was this when the OW called him a pervert and ruined his career, which means that this happened when he was celibate? I am so confused! It's like putting a 1000 piece puzzle together and getting frustrated when the pieces don't fit!!
Because of it, he got kicked out of grad studies,
"Getting kicked out of my post grad studies when I was
wrongly accused of sexual misconduct with some undergrads."
Ok, so he was 'wrongly accused of sexual misconduct', so meaning there relationship was not physical in nature?
But he did have a moment with an OW having her call him daddy, indulging in the dom kink with her coupled with the comment of him not having pussy again' until the heroine, all these context clues tells me, that Kitty is not the first woman he gave pleasure to..So what happened between him and the OW?? If there was NO sexual misconduct, then what happened? The last time he touched a woman was 10 years ago. If he touched a woman sexually, was he talking about another OW and not the one that got him kicked out of grad school?? This was the downfall of the book, said at the beginning when he picked Kitty up from the airport,
"I wanted nothing to do with any of it.
Love. Women. Sex. Romance.
It was my downfall more than once, and re-building myself has become a
battle of will I refuse to concede."
This was not a first timers romance. For him to feel that way, a lot more happened with the OW/OWs in his past and I am convinced he pleasured her having her call him daddy, had strong feelings for her, until she threw him away when he didn't change her grades. I hate that an OW had that much power over him. I hate that he shared that intimate part of him with an OW and not our heroine. He wanted the OW, she did not want him back. For a first timer he had history; considering women were his downfall more than once, there were several OWs in his past. Maybe he didn't stick his dick in a woman nor has a woman touched it, but he had firsts before the heroine, including his daddy dom kink, and that just ruined the book for me.

Don't sell the book promising us first timers, where we look forward to our hero and heroine experiencing all their firsts together, when there was OW history in the hero's past, thinking you can get away with him being a virgin as a loop hole.
I wish ALL the OW backstory was cut out.
I would have changed the OW story with an unwanted OW drama. Make it so that he got kicked out, because a student walked in a asked for help on homework, and when his back was turned she takes her top off and gets behind the hero when his back is turned. Surprised and shocked he tries to move back but he is between the desk and her, so in a compromising position, and just at that moment, a teacher with two more students walked in and accused him of misconduct. Then other girls gave false statements that he touched them inappropriately too. He is shocked and pleads that it is all lies, that he has no interest in his students and never did anything inappropriate ever, and in his inner monologue he lets us know he never had interest in women period, but of course his pleas are ignored and he no longer trusts women as a result. He sees what happens when women that are interested in him are rejected, they jumped at the chance to get him in trouble to get back at him. If the OW drama was unwanted, the drama and the sequences of events in the rest of the book would still make sense. I would have also changed that love and sex and lust got him in trouble, instead, say that when women try to flirt with him he shuts that shit down, sometimes too harshly, but when they are rejected they wanted to punish him and found the right time to do it. So he doesn't go near women and decided to remain celibate the rest of his life which doesn't bother him because he always was celibate. He still has urges like the dom and daddy fantasy, but it is always a faceless silhouette he imagined when he was younger, until he meets our heroine Kitty. For Kitty, I would have made that kiss an unwanted kiss, from the guy who assaulted her. Also a clear statement to the heroine that he is her one and only EVERYTHING, and the story would have been the best DV this year, that I would have reread over and over! Quick fixes would make it so good!
It is so frustrating to look forward to something by a trusted author you love, being so excited and dropping everything to read a dual virgin romance, only to be so angry at the result.
I don't care about everything else in the book, I was so confused and angry, and confused again, with this OW bullshit that it killed what could have been an enjoyable dual virgin romance. This is a DV romance I hated!
There is a part of me that wants to believe that I misunderstood these scenes, but I don't think I did. I really wished all the OW backstory was cut out and we had a straight forward, 'you are my first and only EVERYTHING' scene, and both he and the heroine experienced their firsts together, but unfortunately, we know that's not true.

Dani Wyatt's latest release features all of the tropes that you love and know about her writing—an age-gap forbidden romance between an obsessive and unhinged MMC and his curvy but bratty FMC. Not only is Martin/Cole a priest but he was also Kitty's step-brother as well. While I enjoyed Step-Sinner, there were parts of it that frustrated me. I did not care for the religious aspect of the book and I felt like too much time was spent on Martin going back and forth between his vows to the church instead of pursuing and reassuring Kitty that she meant more to him. On the other hand, Kitty's fake brat personality and defiance was also exasperating at times because she mostly did it just to get a reaction out of Martin. The characters eventually did get it together and finally consummated their relationship.

"I'm going to be your god. Your lover… Your biggest fan and your greatest protector."

In the end, this was another satisfying read from Dani Wyatt but it personally wasn't my favorite because of the miscommunication and immaturity of the heroine. Kitty's character was cute at first but she grated on my nerves with her quips and jealousy over other potential woman who might have been with Martin previously. Thankfully for her, there weren't any. Nevertheless, we did get a HEA for these two and I was happy with the resolution at the end. This book had many tropes including step-siblings, age-gap, student/teacher, MMC was a priest, and the D* kink. The spicy scenes we got were hot but it left me wanting more. It feels like they are getting shorter and more non-descriptive. Hopefully the author will write more spicy scenes that are longer with more dirty talk in her next book!

Kitty hates to love with her new stepdad and her mother and rebels in an unhealthy and a bit dangerous way. So she gets sent to St. Margarets where the headmaster Father Martin tries to give her new directions and discipline. What she doesn't know is that he is her new step brother. Martin/Cole (before his vows) falls instantly for Kitty and now has to decide if he stays a priest or will be Kitty's new Daddy😏 Instalove, age gap, forbidden, taboo, steamy, romantic , kind of chaotic but safe ( Heck yes dual virgins - I love this kind of stories 😍) with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍😍

Good and hot

This was a good read but not the best. The sex was hot and the premise is good. Love the double virgin trope, just wish things would have been a little more fleshed out. (No pun intended)

I wouldn't say I liked this one as much as I thought I would. We all know a hot priest or 2 (Fleabag??), so I figure this would be hot. I was wrong...

There were a lot of things happening in this story. For starters, Father Martin, whose real name is Cole, was a PhD chemist who was falsely accused of SA. Instead of manning up, he fled with his tail between his legs, gave up on all his dreams, and joined the priesthood, like a scorned man. He spends his life rehabilitating wayward girls in an extremely isolated old creepy church? Yeah, not weird AT ALL....
His father was a grade-A-A$$h**e, has been married too many times to count, and lies to everyone, including his new wife and stepdaughter. Plus, I can't even begin to understand the mom... whom we are supposed to forgive, for letting her brand new husband get rid of the family pet and sending her daughter away to a religious reform camp 1000 miles away?

The other thing I'm starting to see with these age-gap/ barely-18 books is the heroine's BRAT level is astronomical and SUPER immature and annoying. I think the MMC (and us readers) are supposed to find it cute or endearing but I just find it obnoxious. I feel like they give females a bad name, acting selfish, stuck-up, and unrepentantly bratty, which is honestly the opposite of sexy...

This book wasn't as hot as some (they only had detailed sex once around 80%), and I'm definitely over the brat FMC persona, so I'm glad I'm done with this series. I love this author, who can write a smoking hot steamy scene, plus I did love some of the books in the series so I'll definitely grab more from this author, but maybe I just need a little brat-break...

Awesome Read!!!

I enjoyed reading STEP-SINNER: A Clergy Teacher Student Step Love Story(Wanting What’s Wrong)!!! All about Katherine Tennant an eighteen year old girl who likes to be a brat & Father Martin Louis who is in his forties, is a priest and headmaster at the school of difficult students at St.Margarets Catholic campus. It’s a crumbling set of buildings on a beautiful piece of property jutting against the ocean. So Father Martin teaches wayward girls, who try to tempt him in every way, he has rules & punishments that puts them in their place at every turn. I’ve never been tempted to step out of line, until Kitty stepped off that plane. The problem is she’s my stepsister, by marriage, but I never let her know this fact. Read about Kitty & Father Martin, and see what happens when one’s faith is tempted!! Lots of emotion and plenty of toe curling does occur. Definite Read!!!!

0.5✯

-dual POV
-no ow/om drama
-no separation
-H(33)/h(18)
-virgin heroine
-the H was technically a virgin but he had some sexual experience
-I didn't like that that the h was not the first to call the hero 'daddy', he liked someone in the past enough to make her call him 'daddy', this woman then betrayed him and accused him of being a perv, after that he decided to avoid women for good and became a priest (he's been celibate for 10 years when he meets the h)
-I didn't like the h, she was annoying and immature
-mild daddy kink
-the h was almost sexually assaulted (off page)
-no cheating
-insta love/lust
-epilogue: 1 month and 5 years later -married with 3 kids and another on the way

This story is a 3.5 to me, but I'm gonna be honest I rounded down because of all the editing errors towards the end. There were so many spelling errors and even a few contradicting plot points in the last half of the book that I had a hard time overlooking completely. Still, though, I didn't want to give this a completely bad rating since I actually enjoyed the story. It was different and very spicy, and I actually enjoyed the characters in here. I've read one other book by this author, but i think after this one, I'll look into a few more

Another great book from DW, but....

I have read, and loved, every book Dani Wyatt has written. Normally her books are an easy five stars for me, but this one had so many spelling/grammar errors that it took away from the enjoyment of reading it. The flow was continually interrupted by having to decipher what the correct word should be. That being said, this book was another absolute HAF read. Wonderfully delicious and sinful.

I received an ARC and I'm freely reviewing.

Oh my goodness, I need to go to church. First and foremost, this is a taboo book so if that ain't your thing, keep browsing. This has unknown (on one person's part) step siblings and priest. Kitty acted out one too many times and was sent to "special school." Martin is the priest and welcomes her. Martin sees her and she literally has him exploding (lol). This is filthy, dirty and delicious. You'll love it, I did.

The story’s on the safe side but sweet. The MMC pushes the FMC at first because well, he’s literally a priest. They’re also both virgins. The sex scenes are minimal unlike the other books in this series but they’re still hot especially when the MMC jacked off for the first time in a decade lmao. Minimal angst too, though I kinda wish the MMC’s backstory with the OW was kind of fleshed out. Overall, I like the story so 4 stars!

Hot and fun

I'm a bit of a deviant and like most things a bit dark.
Dani does deviance and even though you would think the book indicates it should be dark, it really is more fun than dark.
Our main characters find love. I don't think this book will ruffle any religious minded feathers and it all comes out fine in the end.

Double virgins? Yep! This was a good one...it did seem a tad slow in the beginning, but about the middle of the story it really picks up speed - and by speed I mean steam. 😉. If you want taboo - as in a priest who is into sinning, grab this for a somewhat quick read. Definitely spicy and forbidden. A bit of an obsessed hero too. Hot, hot.
