I was blessed with a mother who instilled the love of reading in me at a young age. That progressed into a passion for the written word in all forms, which led to my writing. Every day I have new stories and new ideas roaming through my brain, the characters chomping at the bit for their turn to be front and center and have their story told. Today that love of storytelling translates into my desire to write and share my stories with others. I write in many genres, but I’m currently concentrating on romantic suspense and paranormal.
My day job is about as uncreative as it gets. I do medical transcription, spending numerous hours at the computer each day trying to decipher the mumbled, garbled and often unrecognizable words the physicians are dictating, in an effort to make a complete and comprehensive patient record. It’s almost as bad as trying to read their handwriting!
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I’ve lived in various places throughout my youth, from California to Hawaii and back to Florida (Key West), before finally settling in Texas. I make my home outside Dallas, Texas with my spoiled black lab (Missy).
I am a member of Romance Writers of American and the Dallas Area Romance Authors (DARA), where I’m an active member; you can find me at the local meetings each month.
That’s about it off the top of my head. I love talking with other readers and writers, so feel free to contact me.

Loved every bit of this story. I’m so glad Kathy Ivan decided to write Ms Patti as she’s been my favourite ever since I read Rafe. This diminutive powerhouse of a woman grabs your heart, and she never lets anyone go.
Patti and Douglas are such big hearted people it’s always a pleasure to find out more about them and their boys/lost boys. So if you love stories of family found, then you can never go wrong with any of the Texas Boudreau Brotherhood.
Ms Patti can be read as stand-alone. However if you’ve never read any of the other books you can’t go wrong and you need to add them to your library or TBR list. Like this book everyone has such a great feel of family, along with some suspense, and makes you wish that Shiloh Springs was a real place.

Ms.Patti is the 14th installment in Kathy Ivan’s Texas Boudreau Brotherhood series. In it she highlights the matriarch of this family and how the family rallies together when she goes off the grid for a while. As the matriarch, Ms. Patti keeps the family together. She reaches out to all in her community and makes all feel special. So, when no one can find her, it was outstanding how the family network rallied together. It was interesting to see that her savior is aware of who she is which is the result of her outreach to his parents. The family embraces him for into their circle for what he did for their beloved mother. Ms. Ivan does a superb job her depiction of a loving family. The love shared between Ms. Patti and Douglas epitomizes an ideal loving relationship. They are role models for her children and others.
Ms. Ivan is skilled at creating dialog. Her conversational dialog is strong and concise. I especially enjoyed the dialog amongst the senior citizen residents, which at times, was humorous. I also appreciated Ms. Ivan's use of literary devices such as point of view, dialog, backstory, and descriptive language. Through the dialog and their internal dialog readers are provided an opportunity to get to know them better, to understand their personalities and to get their backstories. I also appreciated the way Ms. Ivan differentiated between the dialog between characters and the internal dialog by offsetting the text in italics. I also thought it was interesting how she depicted text conversations between Heath and his family.

I so loved this book❤️ It brings all of the boy’s and their mates together with the lost boys home. You learn that Ms. Patti and Douglas still have enough love to bring another grandson into the fold. And we can’t wait to see who is next to fall into the Boudreau family.🥰

We love Ms Patti!
A novella packed with action and almost all the Boudreau brothers including the 'Lost Boys' too! We have danger, big life events, additions to the clan, reminiscing and remembering where it all began and the usual outpouring of love, laughter, sass and growly over protection you expect from every Boudreau gathering.

One Big Happy Family!
Ms. Patti: WOW! Wonderful story of family and the love they have for each other! This was perfect story to do next in the series! Ms. Patti matriarch of the family. Her and Douglas adopted 11 boys, and had 1 girl of their own, Plus the lost boys that did not stay. It was a great writing and really enjoyable.

OMG the wedding!
I was so engrossed in the story the book was finished before I could blink. It was a lovely, happy, emotional story. And yes, I cried through the whole ceremony. Congratulations Miss Patti and Douglas!

What an amazing story!!!
This story brought the feelings. A surprise wedding. A baby due anytime. Then a missing Ms. Patti.
While getting everything ready ready for a baby shower and a surprise wedding, Ms. Patti decides to check out a property. No one knows where she is.
Rafe has just found out his momma is missing and calls out the calvary.
While decorating the church, Beth is struggling with Junior bring an onery and dealing his momma fits and he isn't even born yet.
