Lily’s annual trip across the Kansas prairie to a luxury ski resort in Colorado has been the same every year since her father passed away and left his adult children the resort house. She has been meticulous, in fact, to keep it the same, despite her two brothers’ desire for a less uptight sister. But this year, her older brother, Allen, throws a wrench in her plans the day before they leave. And that’s where Simon comes in. The younger brother of Allen’s best friend and business partner has fallen on hard times and could use a vacation. Simon does whatever he can to earn his keep in the luxury cabin, including helping Lily relax, despite all the abrupt changes to her normally predictable winter vacation. The two are stuck sharing a room and brought together on the ski trails. Lily tries to keep her promise to her brother that she would keep her hands off their guests… until Simon strikes up a game of Simon Says.
Story This book includes sexually explicit scenes, depictions of anxiety attacks, foul language, familial cancer, brief mention of potential sexual assault, alcohol consumption, and a guy who really can’t take a hint.
Spicy brother’s best friend’s little brother ski resort romance. Highly recommend this wintertime romance. I would consider this book a role reversal where the FMC is the financially dominate partner with some sugar momma vibes but the MMC is definitely the boss of the bedroom. Simon’s dirty mouth is fire and he is the supportive hype man the FMC needed to leave behind her perceived family and social burdens to find her true calling.
I absolutely loved Simon and how he was able to read Lily so well and know exactly what she needed. This story definitely pulled on my heart strings like Ai was pulling for Lily & Simon!
So first I just wanna point out how beautiful the cover is! And the little snowflakes for the breaks in chapters are a perfect touch. As someone who loves winter, it's so cute.
The story itself is so fun and sweet, but there's so much family drama! It's great, just like a Hallmark Christmas movie without the Christmas celebration but with the spice and sexual tension 🩵
